Hi everyone, I have been a silent member for a year now. I have decided to share my birth story today.
I put to bed in July to a baby boy. It all started on Friday night after kpeketus with my husband. . 10 minutes after the contractions started. I was so excited as I was already 40weeks and 5days. My mum was also around but I didn't let anyone know until Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning, I saw my mucus plug , I showed my mum and also told my husband. I decided to do some house chores. I mopped the whole house and cleaned the kitchen. By 2pm, the contractions got stronger. I just sat on my bouncing ball to ease the pain. My mum prepared dry fish for me .

By 3:30 I was in so much pain. I told my mum to check me as she is a nurse and she said I was 4cm dialated. I decided to run the bath and sit on hot water as I wanted to be 6cm before heading to the hospital . But as soon as I sat in the bath, I just started vomiting and couldn't bear the pain.My husband was really scared and ask us to go to the hospital.
We got to the hospital at around 4pm. I got checked by the midwife and I was still 4cm . They gave me a big room and my mum and husband were there. My mum kept rubbing my back while my husband was rubbing my legs and at the same time making my video. The contractions were getting stronger . We could see the progress on the machine and the midwives said I was really doing well. I didn't shout . I was just saying I don't think I can cope and they kept encouraging me.

At 9pm, I got checked again and they told me I was still 4cm and was not progressing. Everyone was shocked . I just said that is the end if I am still 4cm with the strong contractions. They decided to break my water. Immediately after that, the midwives realised that there was meconuim in the water which means that my pooped. My baby's heart rate increased drastically and we could see it on the machine. My mum and husband were scared . The midwives called a doctor .

The doctor decided that we have to go to the theatre immediately as the baby is in distress and seek for my consent . I didn't even think twice . I just told them I am ready. I just want my baby. That was how I ended up with an emergency section but it was all worth it at the end.

Congratulations to all the pregnant women and I wish you all safe delivery. He is six months now.

@op what is your definition of your own virtuous woman. My husband wakes up at 5:30 everyday cos he works in another city while I wake up 7:30 cos my office is just 10mins walk and I resume 9am.
My husband even tries as much as possible to tiptoe out of the room so he won't wake me and each time I wake up he apologies. So now I pretend to sleep if he is awake so he wnt apologies. Infact he packed all his shirt and trousers to anoda room and dresses up there so as not to disturb my sleep. This is because he is reasonable and considerate and that does not stop me from doing my house chores.
I just want to enjoy it while it last before kids comes our way and I have to wake up earlier. Abeg life is too short
. If she doesn't have anything to I see no reason why i shud be awake before six.

It is totally wrong for the bank to do a cover up. The customer care representative of the bank should have apologize to her online and reinstate their service commitment to the public instead of this rubbish counter tread. Yeah, i met with the head of unit(2nd pi) and then got a success mail stating that i have successfully completed the recruitment process and that i'll be contacted for medicals and the rest of it some time in august.

I have an aunt who was physically abused for so many years. There was a particular day , after beating her, she was thrown out of the house in the middle of the night. She had to call my dad to pick her up.
Despite families getting involved , the abuse continued. The husband was also having extra-marital affairs with a woman 10years older than him and with 5kids.

One day, after the normal physical abuse, the husband left the house angrily. He met their family friend on the way who asked after the wife. Imagine the husband' s response'that he just finished beating her'. The family friend went to thier house immediately and saw my aunt in pain. The family friend who was an ex-soldier called the barracks to lock the guy up.
The husband spent 3days in the barracks and they refused to release him to his family members until the wife came to beg on his behalf. They asked him to write a statement never to lay his hands on his wife again.
He dare not lay his hands on his wife ever .
I think people like your husband needs iron hands to change.

Some logic fail me though. So because Op has a boyfriend, it is okay for church workers to have sex among one another? Are church workers in church to serve the Lord or to sample their bodies? Lol. My parents marriage is alryt, they have their normal ups and downs but its fine. My mum is my confidant, she has told me its not a must to end up with him if we won't be happy in marriage. But what I've come to discover is that each time I bother her with this mistake I made, she gets sleepless nights, she worries a lot, so that's why am always telling her not to worry, that God will guide my paths. I understand am in an unhealthy soulties with this guy already, and am praying to God to loose me from it. I was really angry reading your opening post and subsequent ones,and I didn't intend to post, but after reading this particular one, I feel truly sorry for you. I even shed a tear unconsciously cos I see you want to help yourself. You just need a little push and i hope to God that you will find back that lost selfesteem and self love.

Read the comments in here as often as you can, hourly, daily, and get that strength that you need to move on. You will be fine and so will your son. Like pak suggested, learn something new and exciting, it will go along way in helping you move on without hurting too much.

I saw the grabs on Linda ikeji yesterday and I thought the woman was very foolish for coming out public with such nonsense. Its no cheating, it's flirting with an old lover. Whatever happened to talking it jokingly with the husband. If the husband gets to see the grabs all over the place, it will cause unnecessary quarrells. Some women just don't have common sense.
