Thanks house for the responses.
So the thing is I recently obtained my settlement visa to the uk to settle with my fiancee. However, based on the NOI i received from Ontario , is it possible for me start and finish the NOI process and also the post PNP and ITA process (if I eventually get one) while I am in the UK?

When I checked my tracker yesterday morning it indicated that my passport has been transferred to Vac. I later got collection mail from tls in the evening and when I checked the tracker this morning it showed that vac has received my passport. After pick when I checked it showed passport already picked up. Decision mail was on 59WD paid mail, but the decision might have been made earlier though.

coolMeenah:
Congratulations, did your tracker change, and at how many working dayz did you get your decision made

Sorry about that. I suggest you reapply without using an agent and address the error. Agents are mostly parasites to applications. They are mostly of more harm than good. Just apply yourself, all the information you need are freely available here

All the best.

MsLoolah:
Good morning guys,

My husband got his refusal letter 2 weeks ago but is yet to get a passport collection mail, is it advisable to pop down to the Ikeja Centre and check if his passport is Available?? And if it is, what time should we be there for fast response?

Also he was refused based on error made by the officer that handled his application. They stated he didn’t show his financials and his business and we most certainly did, we don’t have rights to request a review or an appeal. Please what can we do next? I don’t think it’s fair. We included everything, even my own 10 year visa and marriage certificate, his company’s financial statement with balance of 6m, his personal statement with balance of 2.5m, CAC, sale receipts, wedding pictures, hotel reservations, tax, but was refused based on an error we can’t contest.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by headhoncho(m): 6:38am On Jan 26, 2022
Please avoid that lawyer because that is very false. you can have as low as 500k and still be granted a visa. The most important thing is just to enusre your financial statement easily reflects your monthly salary and also explain any inflow that might be a red flag. Also, keep the application simple. Your Salary is more than good enough to get you the visa. All the best.
Carim19:
Good morning
My name is carim I’m new here. I’m planning to apply for a uk tourist visa, I earned 300k per month but I got promoted last month with increment of 150k (450k) per month expecting this January.my available balance is 1,055,000 but by ending of February salary it should be 1.9M (September-February)
I spoke with my lawyer this evening she said 1.9m is too small for tourist visa, that’s y I signed up to seek for opinions
Thank so much Guys
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by headhoncho(m): 3:38pm On Jan 21, 2022
There is no harm in reapplying immediately since the denial was based on unfairness and an “error” on the part of the visa officer. Just make sure you do not give them any benefit of the doubt this time, because there might be extra scrutiny on the application, since you are opposing your initial denial, and also make sure you address the error and any other necessary issue on this decision which prompted your immediate reapplication. All the best!
Gentlesoul3268:
No we didn't got response yet only auto response, I mean the people that I showed the refusal too who know more better that advised if we can reply against easther.

Yes my wife can take a leave at work and the kids would be at holiday at that time.

Please leef we I'll need your contribution when Is time to reapply, waiting for passport collection

Thanks

Nawao!! Some Visa officers can just be biased sha. I think you just have to reapply and address the issues on this refusal letter. Pele!

You just need to be patient. You will be contacted soon. Please when did you do your biometrics?
Greenm5:
Good Day All,

I received the email below from UKVI few hours after sending a paid email enquiry regarding visa application. It said that decision has been made on the application however to allow 10 working days for VAC to contact regarding passport collection/delivery. I tracked the application and it is still at DMC. Have anyone received such email and what is the estimated turn around to status changing to "transferred to VAC" and then final passport collection? Please kindly share your experience.

Dear XXXXX XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, our records indicate that decision has been made on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone.

Please allow 10 working days for the visa application centre to contact you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

Regards,

XXXXX

Omo! Are you sure you are mentally prepared for these travel hours? Where are you traveling to? British airways and air France (you might need a transit visa for this) are the best options in terms of cost and flight duration. You can also visit Wakanow and travelstat for good flight deals. Goodluck
dbty:
Good morning.
Happy first Sunday of the year.

I need quick advice on flight option.
What are my limitations in reference to the Airline, transit, and cost.
These are my research and option at hand;
Emirate. (300plus in Naira 27hrs travel time)
Turkish (1200 USD)
Egypt (570 USD with 31hrs travel time)

Egypt and Emirate would be preferred while my firm choice is Emirate because of the travel time.

Any other flight suggestion will be of great help and appreciated.

Thanks

I think you are over worrying on this application for someone who already has good travel history and apparently, a steady income. Good travel history and income are enough to get your husband a UK tourism visa. His traveling record to the US is a big plus. All these your shalaye are very unnecessary. Goodluck.

AmeliaT:
Thanks a lot for your prompt response; we don't have children yet but our children are automatically British so they would get automatic access in and out of the UK. So, I'm not sure how strong that tie would be. My husband has land in Nigeria but nothing substantial; we didn't include these in the docs. I'm a senior exec at a well recognized multinational which we also mentioned. The application went in already so we can't add these additional details unfortunately. We only included those basic documents which was my fear when reading through this thread now and seeing how people include so so much.

I also thought they may suspect we wanting to bypass the spousal visa application but we included our savings account to show that we have more than enough to fund the application and legally move as we individually earn more than the minimum required 18k Pounds for this if we wanted to (my husband is vehemently against moving to the UK). His history also shows our travel frequency which is usually twice a year and when we go, we do multiple countries at a time so I hope they will also see that we definitely will not want to go there illegally and be cages and unable to travel. He's been to the US three times in the last six years, the UAE four times, Italy once and other countries in the North American continent and Middle east. We always go together so we are hoping this shows them our genuine and true passion for tourism and that's all we want from this holiday.

Hello all,

It’s been over a month since I requested for refund for the settlement priority service and I am yet to get the refund.

I need advice on what to do next. For context, I paid for super priority service for my settlement visa application only to be told at tls Vi that the service is not available and I have to seek a refund. My application was later treated as standard.

Now that Nigeria has been added to the red list. How is it going to affect pending settlement applications?

Thanks for this.. I understand now
monchat:
They are three process u can go about it.

1. Marriage visa allows you to come to uk, get married and come bk to home country and apply for spousa visa of 2.5 years. The marriage visa is a case where your wife can not come to Nigeria or you guys feel like getting married abroad. As soon as you get the marriage certificate, you go through the process of spouse visa if all requirements are met.

The other one is spouse visa where you both got married in home country in registry and apply for the visa having meet all requirements. U get a 2.5 years visa, u have permission to work. After 2.5 you go through the process of Further leave to remain for 2.5 years, then indenfite leave to remain and British citizen.

The fiancé visa is when u are engaged and want to get married. The visa doesn't need marriage certificate because u are going to uk to get married and apply for spousa visa. All you need to show is evident that you have been friends and intention to apply for fiancé visa with all the supporting documents to show that you want to get marry. Evidence like the registry you will use, just something to show proof of marriage.

For the fiancé visa your sponsor need to meet all requirements like the financial requirement, accommodation, You need to write IELTS test, or if you have a degree taught in English u apply for naric and TB.

The fiancé visa you are given six months to enter UK and get married, as you come to uk, get married and apply for spousa visa which u will get 2.5 years.
The fiancé visa u are just given six months, u can't work with it. Also in fiancé visa you don't pay for IHs , only payment is visa fees. But when you want to apply for spousa visa in the UK ,u pay the IHS.

Fiancé visa route is quiet expensive BC you are paying double the visa fees.

Hello Gurus,

Please I need your urgent advice. I recently got engaged to my GF who is a Nigerian and also British citizen.

I intend to apply for the family visa (6 month) with the intention of us getting married in the UK.

Now, seeing the UK site, there is spousal visa for 2yrs + and also the fiance/fiancee visa for 6 months with the intention of getting married within that period after arrival in the UK.

However they also stated that provision of marriage certificate is also a strong factor for visa success.

I am so confused right now because the plan is to use the fiancée/fiancé 6month visa type as we are not yet legally married.

I am so confused. I need help on how to go about this. Hope to get a response soon.

Okay thanks for this. I have updated it.
GraciousWords:
IRCC actually says "give us XYZ's name EXACTLY as it appears on XYZ's national identity document". So we are expected to include a middle name beside a first name, if a middle name appears on one's passport.

There is a small question mark in a circle ? beside every question on the IRCC forms....very important to click on them to understand the question being asked and what response is required.

It may or may not be a big deal..........but better safe than sorry.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by headhoncho(m): 9:22am On Jul 15, 2021
But on the IRCC website, you are only required to provide first and last names, no box for middle name or am I missing something?
Biibim:
Good day guys,
I've been a follower of this thread from page 1 and it has been my most helpful source of information as regards EE.
I just realised that I didn't include my middle name (included in my passport, Wes and ielts) in my first name(s) in my IRCC account. I tried to edit my name through the update form in personal details but it didn't work.
I'll appreciate any kind suggestions on how to go about it as I'm already considering
closing the account and starting afresh.
Please note that I have been in the pool since March.
Thanks in anticipation.
