Denying Metuh at his point of need is simply heartless. You approved the illegal payment to him, go to court and defend your approval. Stop being a coward! How did Osibanjo 'waive' his immunity? You people sef. After eating your Amala and oily ewedu soup, you will think you are clever by half. Let Osibanjo RESIGN (as is done in every civilised society) because of the weighty allegations against him, so that law enforcement agencies will thoroughly investigate and prosecute him. I took my time to read about his testimony and discovered he was impersonating Ned Nwoko's relative and he fleeced many people using his name, he will be nailed on to do time for impersonation with the motive to commit fraud.
However, the testimony about payoneer and Amazon is sketchy and could be thrown out if he goes to court. Don't rule out the possibility he was tortured to admit what he didn't even do. Where did you read the testimony about impersonating Ned Nwoko? |

Payoneer is not a payment gateway that processes credit card transactions, so what exactly do you mean? Besides, it is IMPOSSIBLE to put fake Payoneer site links (or any phishing links for that matter) on Amazon. Even if it is possible, it can only be done by the most advanced Russian/Chinese etc hackers, but that's unlikely. So what exactly is going on here? |

Tmonex: Which kind of rubbish misinformation is this?
This news is so flawed that i feel the boy is innocent. He is probably an Amazon kindle seller getting paid into payoneer. or being a fraudster that he is. Decides to speed up his riches.
The part where he uses other people's credit card and the supposed credit cards should be revealed. How can you say he designed payoneer and gets paid into it. Does it mean Amazon was tricked?? lol
He cloned payoneer and collected credit card information. These guys will soon blacklist payoneer card in the streets now cos of misinformation like this I've been screaming from the rooftops that Nigerians must insist that the EFCC and Co should do things the right way, but no. Too much poverty, frustration and bad belle have damaged the brains and souls of most Nigerians. That's what they applaud and shout 'crucify him' whenever any of these annoying EFCC burst stories come up. Imagine this re ta rded story. That his latest 'victim' sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police, who then dispatched IGP team to 'trace' and arrest him. What a load of hot bullshit. Of course I'm sure the IGP team randomly accosted him or acted on the tips of a bad belle snitch, and then tried to extort him of huge sums of money. When he refused, they then abducted him and bundled him to the EFCC. Now the whole thing is about scapegoating him and extorting him. Even the whole purported 'confession' is hogwash, contrived by the policemen and EFCC themselves and forced down on him. I hope he is able to get a good lawyer to fight the case rather than succumb to the intimidation, blackmail and extortion agenda of these EFCC and police bastards. We don't know what we're setting ourselves up for in this country. The worst is yet to come. |

Business › Re: Anybody Who Told You Entrepreneurship Can Save Nigeria Is Lying (photo) by Hedonisco: 6:48pm On Sep 21, 2019 |
Donald3d: I understand the the business climate is not "smiling" at entrepreneurs. But we still do it anyway. A true entrepreneur does not dwell on excuses, he sees through all the problems and creates a SOLUTION. Its a good thing Nigeria is filled with problems (I say this without meaning to sound like a prophet of doom). Where problems abound, money making becomes easier.
He himself said the middle class spend mostly on food. What stops an entrepreneur from venturing into food business at any of the levels . There are MANY levels in food production !.
As I always tell people, these things would always remain relevant; Agriculture/Food, Healthcare, Transportation, Electricity, Education/Knowledge acquisition/Training, Technology/Internet Solutions - In that order . They are the basic things man cannot do without, no matter how poor or disorganized the country or state is. Find a way to key into these areas directly or indirectly, from the source or at the finished product and you would never be poor.
Be innovative, be smart, creatively solve a problem. Make these solutions affordable and easily reproduce-able and sell-able. Entrepreneurship truly isn't for everybody, its for those who don't let failure, disadvantages and unfavorable conditions weigh them down. Its for those who see things differently, because those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, and Nigeria in this context are the ones that actually do.
Stop giving excuses and take ACTION ! Don't mind these people. A lot of these cynics don't know the real meaning of entrepreneurship. You see them lamenting and making endless excuses. I mean there are 200 million people in Nigeria. 200 million! I don't care how poor these people are or how terrible their purchasing power or the business climate is, any sharp, creative and persistent entrepreneur would find a niche (or create a niche) in a slice of this population and make a living for himself. However, that's not denying the fact that the economy is in shambles due to the hopeless maladministration of Buhari and his demonic cabal. But true entrepreneurs cannot starve because of that. Many would thrive in spite of the terrible economy, or even BECAUSE of the terrible economy. Moments of crisis and difficulty should challenge us to put on our thinking caps. Like the very wise Chinese saying goes... 危险机会 Crisis and opportunity are two sides of the same coin. |

9jaRealist: Indonesia is still ranked relatively LOW on the corruption index though... Lower than several of our West African neighbors, including even Benin Rep and Burkina Faso.
Corruption doesn’t help development one iota, and thus nothing here should be (mis)construed as excusing corruption, but at the same time folks should realize that there’s more to development than simply “reducing” corruption. In fact, a country like South Korea developed under incredibly corrupt and despotic governments and political systems, as did Thailand and to a large extent even the said Indonesia under the rapacious Suharto family. For starters, you have to have a certain level of competency (and/or enlightenment) at the helm of leadership. > I have always maintained that corruption is overrated as a causative factor for Nigeria's shameful underdevelopment and retardation. Nigeria's biggest problem is not financial corruption per se. Our biggest problem is incompetence in all spheres where competence is sorely needed, due to the abhorrence for meritocracy. Get the right people in positions across board, and things would start working almost immediately, even though they all perpetrate corrupt activities. But no. Only incompetent idiots who are also corrupt for that matter are considered to fill up any and all available job slots in the public services and to some extent even in the private sector. The consequence is the deep mess we are stuck in as a shithole country. |

CoolAmbience: What level playing ground are you speaking of again? Must the inadequacy always come from the government?
Whistle blower policy is in force. It behoves on citizens to support the government to rid Nigeria of corruption.
If you know anyone living above their means, and you've got proofs in forms of luxury properties, assets etc. Report such person to EFCC.
The weakest link in the fight against corruption is the Nigerian people, despite being the biggest casualties of corruption. Isn't that an irony? See as your mouth is sweeting you. Yen yen yen. Bloody hypocrite. Do you know how many reports and petitions with substantial proof have been sent to the EFCC and ICPC regarding specific individuals such as Bola Tinubu (and his Alpha Beta), Adams Oshiomole, Akpabio, Amaechi, and Timipre Sylva to mention a few? What have become of such petitions?.. You're here talking rubbish like one peacock whose head is stuck in the cloud, detached from reality. Hypocrites like you are the real problem with Nigeria. |
