I guess the imposing Defence House in Abuja will become a mere museum for the time being. |
The Jamboree and wasteful and unnecessary globe trotting has started. Is this what 'change' means? What is our business with World Economic Forum when fuel scarcity persists and we have no power supply to light up our homes? |
Yet another sad reminder of the vanity and futility of all our daily endeavours... RIP hommie. No one knows who's next. 1 million ways to die |
Who send una work? Is that a priority for anyone at this time? Nonsense people. |
The useless and outgoing House of Assembly members will be lynched by the waiting mob of poor masses (okada riders, bus drivers, mechanics, market women, etc) who voted Fayose into office and are determined to keep him there for four full years. |
What do you expect from a 72 year old (probably even older) dinosaur who, even in his youth, was a docile Head of State who depended on his deputy (Idiagbon) to run the government? Is it now that he is an ancestor that he will find the vigour and purposeful drive to govern effectively? The cattle rearer would end up even more docile than Shagari. His small circle of aides and inner caucus members would ride roughshod over him and run the country aground. Forget the fanciful 'I belong to nobody' mantra. Na him write the speech? I bet he had no idea what the content of the speech was before struggling to read it at the inauguration. |
www.kowatches.com. KO means "knock-off". So you mean the First Lady wore a knock-off watch to the inauguration? That would be ridiculous, wouldn't it? |
Yevgeny:"Probably".... the word has a context and meaning. Don't be too quick to be a Smart Alec. |
Jim is probably the most 'liquid' of the bilionaire trio. Super cash-rich bastard. Owns thousands of premium-rent generating properties across Nigeria and God knows what else. Sigh. |
And what if the president appoints only 18 ministers "in the first instance" - with the unstated intention of replacing them with another 18 fresh ministers two years after to satisfy constitutional requirements. . . . Only for the president to die six months later? And then his deputy (the Vice President) assumes office to start an entirely new administration? Will it not be 100% correct to say that the deceased president breached a constitutional requirement during his tenure? With all due respect, Keyamo's position is merely academic, and perhaps clever by half. |
Gratitude is one of the most difficult virtues, but one of the most noble. Gratitude is often a burden, while revenge is a pleasure - according to Tacitus. It is easy to attribute one's success to one's own "hardwork", "intelligence", "waka well", "jazz", and other vainglorious manifestations of self-delusion. It takes a truly great human being to humbly admit to the roles played by fate and people in one's life journey. I have only recently forgiven Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for not doing what he should have done to serve a second term. I insulted him out of sheer frustration, but after all is said and done, I honestly consider him a big inspiration. Many aspects of his life and personal conduct are worthy of emulation. |
kennethkaycee:You are a fool. No need to explain why because your tomfoolery is self-evident. Ask yourself what it means to be a PROFESSIONAL in any field, and then try to explain why Mikel Obi's recent poor form in Chelsea is due to his apprehension and goose bumps because of the massive crowd at Stamford Bridge. Fool. Meanwhile, you don't know who I am. but you know yourself very well, so don't be "sure" about your foolish assumptions. Speak for yourself only, and be sure about your peculiar circumstances only , kid. |
tenry:So this explains it. Starting the new government with nepotism and 'Man know Man' - even in the smallest of things. Is this what the much-vaunted 'change' will entail? |
I felt vicarious embarrassment for the dry punk. Had to quickly change the channel when it was getting too much to bear. |
Is that Flavour or Iyanya? |
Well, in spite of my vehement rejection of Buhari and all that he represents, the fact remains that he has become the president. That I cannot change at this point. Since it is counterintuitive to cut my nose in order to spite my face, I wish him well and hope that he succeeds in providing good governance for this complex country. However, let it be known that we expect no less than a total fulfilment of ALL his well-documented campaign promises. Me and my kind will judge him more harshly than his Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba coalition of fanatical supporters ever judged Jonathan. We will not tolerate excuses. We will not have patience. We expect immediate performance, and no less.. . Failing which we will make life difficult for him and do whatever it takes to undermine him without mercy, as his goons did Jonathan. |
This guy enjoys affection and goodwill across political divides. It's very difficult to find oneself in such a unique position as a public officer. Thumbs up to him as he prepares to assume his new role at the AfDB. Hopefully, he would acquit himself well and go on to play a bigger role in Nigerian politics in the years ahead. |
Two slaves of the same master. |
Joke. You need to sack the entire armed forces of Nigeria if you are serious. Cowardly, unprofessional, undisciplined bunch - with only a handful (less than 10%) of exceptions. |
Good. They cannot dance to the whims of the US Government in collaboration with old fools like Obasanjo who are out to prove foolish points. The Rule of Law must be respected at all times. All through Obasanjo's administration when this same Buruji man was in his good books and was very much on ground in Nigeria, why was there no extradition request and a follow up action by th NDLEA. . . for alleged offences allegedly committed decades ago? Why now? Why has the US Government not also filed an extradition request for a well known and even more politically exposed drug baron called Bola Ahmed Tinubu? Double-standards are always unacceptable to me. |
WOCKHARDI:Don't mind the rettaarrdds. Wasting time on nonsense in a deliberate effort to avoid the main issue - which is delivering on all of their outlandish campaign promises. |
missclasssy:Dumb ho. If you don't care why did you have to click on the topic and comment? Some of you are very annoying. |
focus7:You must be a miserable drunkard. Jonathan is the "richest president in Africa" because you know for sure that he owns which assets? Which bank accounts containing how much? What do you know and can declare here with facts about what he owns that makes him even as rich as Obasanjo, let alone the richest in Africa? You nitwits need to check yourselves. |
This girl radiates genuine happiness and warmth. And that's very sexy, really. |
How much will it cost to set up a system that powers a small flat (parlour, room, kitchen)? With let's say a 1.5kva inverter. How many solar panels are required and how much will the whole system cost? |
In a statement on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Mitchell Ofoyeju, the NDLEA described the court order as trivial and an attempt to prevent it from performing it's statutory functions. The agency maintained it had received an order from the United States Government to extradite Kashamu for drug related offences and claimed to have served a warrant of arrest on him.So, in other words, the NDLEA would rather obey the order of the United States government than the order of a Nigerian High Court? Is this not the most shameful manifestation of inferiority complex and 'colonial mentality'? This is ridiculous. |
She has a crush on you, so what? What if you don't fancy her to begin with? Let's stop attaching too much importance to these girls and their shenanigans. |
The way some girls use this word "dump" is funny. As if the playboy gives two bleeps about your wanton self. Who really dumped who? You moved on, simple. Don't confer too much importance on yourself (when you are just another random girl) by using ego-boosting words like I "dumped" bla bla bla. |
Fayose is merely applying the carrot and stick approach to these losers. He wants to buy time until June when the fools would be swept out of the state with their own brooms. But for real, all the lawmakers are very poor politicians without focus. If they had some sense, they would have read the handwriting on the wall early enough after Fayose won the election with a landslide, and quickly decamped to the PDP - switching loyalty to Fayose. At least they would have retained their seats. Fools. Let them relocate to Lagos and be collecting daily crumbs from their god Tinubu's Bourdillon Ikoyi enclave. |
4stylz:Well said. Our military is a really disgraceful institution. Very shameful indeed; it has to rank among the most undisciplined, most unprofessional and most incompetent in the world. Even our comatose police force has more discipline than the Military and that speaks volumes. Very useless crop of buffoons in uniform. |
SergeAlain:Exactly, and that is why Buhari is deceiving himself if he thinks Nigerians would applaud him for removing subsidies when he assumes office. I have always maintained that you cannot put the cart before the horse in this subsidy matter. Nigerians can only approve subsidy removal when it translates to lower prices. This can ONLY happen when we have sufficient functional local refineries to meet local demand for petroleum products. If Buhari knows what he is doing , he should concentrate on fixing Nigeria's refineries and encouraging the construction of new ones BEFORE talking about removing subsidies. Otherwise, we will give him pure hell - worse than what Jonathan experienced in January 2012. |
Terabyteck:Nigerians are not really interested in whether the subsidy is removed or not. They are only interested in not paying higher prices, which unfortunately, is what removing subsidies means in this warped country where a cartel controls the importation and marketing of petroleum products. Nigerians protested against Jonathan because fuel prices skyrocketed from N65 to about N140 per litre when the subsidy was removed in 2012. Would they have protested if the price fell from N65 to N55 as a result of subsidy removal? No! So Buhari must be prepared to face the wrath of Nigerian masses if he removes subsidies and the price of fuel keeps skyrocketing as has been the case with diesel ever since subsidy on diesel was removed many years ago. |
