Olalekan27:Thanks pal. I just sent you an email. Please check and respond accordingly. |
israelpalatoe:How are they expensive to maintain? Are there other maintenance costs attached, other than just charging the battery and powering the inverter. |
These people are very stupid. The fact remains that removing subsidies would certainly translate to higher prices. Is that not what has been happening with diesel since subsidy on diesel was removed? It's clear that a cartel controls the downstream oil sector, and the same way they have successfully held up diesel prices is the same way they will conspire against Nigerians to hold up petrol prices, that is the final and unchangeable argument against subsidy removal as far as Nigeria is concerned. We don't want. Nigerians do not want to pay higher prices for petrol; it is really that simple. Using this big grammar of subsidy or no subsidy to complicate issues is not going to help anybody. Nigerians say no to paying more for petrol, whether subsidy stays or goes, full stop. |
Now I need a DC 12 volts to AC 220 volts inverter or converter like the ones shown on this website: www.voltageconverters.com/220_volt_power_inverters.html I already have a good INEC battery to power it with. Bought an integrated unit from one guy called Nkadoj on NL here sometime ago but the 500-watt inverter itself malfunctioned in less than a week, leaving me with only the battery. Now I need another inverter, preferably one with at least 1,000 watts...to power LED TV, DSTV decoder and a small standing fan. |
I mean, inverters or converters like these: www.voltageconverters.com/220_volt_power_inverters.html I already have a good INEC battery to power it with. Bought an integrated unit from one guy called Nkadoj on NL here sometime ago but the 500-watt inverter itself malfunctioned in less than a week, leaving me with only the battery. To serve no other purpose than to add to the intractable traffic menace in Lagos. |
Even if the Chief Priest of Obelembe shrine in Rivers State swears Wike in, no problem. All I know is that he shall assume the governorship of Rivers State on May 29, 2015. Amaechi and his APC bumpkins should choke themselves to death with their discontentment for all I care. |
Patiently waiting to see how Tinubu would pull this off. If he manages to checkmate Buhari and the Northern power bloc that is certain to congeal around his presidency as soon as he assumes power, then I would reluctantly concede - from a purely utilitarian and amoral point of view - that Tinubu is the greatest Nigerian politician of all time. HOWEVER, like I said, I patiently wait to see how events would unfold. |
This whole celeb culture is a big scam. What is special about this girl now? She looks like a very average ashi you would find along Allen Avenue or any other ashi joint in town. Many ashis are even finer and more endowed, so whats the big deal here? Because her name is Halima Abubakar, so what? I would not price her more than N5k for a night. |
So that the Islamic eediiot will ban relaxation parks, gardens, and destroy bottles of beer, and hound all the girls hustling in Abuja in order to turn the FCT to a Sharia enclave? God forbid. |
Sweetguy25:Same issue I have raised a thousand times in my discussions with friends and associates. It's a big joke to say that Buhari can successfully fight corruption - even within the executive arm of government. At best he will prevent himself from being corrupt. There's not much he can do to stop even his own ministers and countless heads of government departments, agencies and parastatals. Jonathan's preventative and systematic measures held more promise than the punitive, brash, coercive, and old fashioned 'gra gra' approach Buhari might want to adopt. Thieves in the executive arm will only get smarter to avoid being caught and the business of corruption would continue as usual. As for corruption in the legislature, judiciary, States and local council areas, and other facets of our national life, Buhari cannot do jack. |
temizeee:Actually, there is. Although I am not sure whether to call it an inverter or a Powerpack. Saw one in a friend's relative house I visited sometime last year. What I am looking for is something like these: www.xantrex.com/power-products/backup-power/xpower-powerpack-400.aspx www.xantrex.com/power-products/backup-power/xpower-powerpack-600hd.aspx Anyone that has this product should please contact me here immediately. I am a serious buyer. Delivery location is Abuja. |
Where can I get an inverter with built in batteries? I mean, something like a UPS (with a rechargeable battery within the unit), to power small household appliances like LED TV, Decoder, and standing fan for at least 4-5 hours? I'm not interested in those bulky ones with external batteries. |
Chief Vincent Obianodo, owner of YSG motors, Rockview Hotels, and countless ventures. Easily worth well over N100 billion and is one of the wealthiest men in Igboland. This Ebuka of a boy is a smart criminal. He has hit the jackpot. |
Yungwizzzy:You are very stupid. It's not tribalism when you Yorubas vote for APC in Lagos and other states in the South West. It's not tribalism when your Abokki masters in the North vote for APC as if their lives depend on it. It is only tribalism when the south East and south south vote for the PDP, which they see as the only truly national party. Useless thing. |
Sweetguy25:Seriously. A couple more of these guys across the geopolitical zones would have meant that Jonathan would have won the election. Proactive Warriors. We don't need 'peace loving' sheeps who would behave like Romans when they are in Africa. Neither do we want paper tigers like Mimiko or Babangida Aliyu who can't deliver when it matters most. |
1. Goodluck Jonathan. 2. Goodluck Jonathan. This man disappointed some of us his loyal supporters. You don't lose an election, concede defeat, and prematurely congratulate your opponent as an incumbent president and COMMANDER in Chief, even when irregularities of all sorts deprived you of victory. Not in this part of the world. The idiiiots in the APC he conceded victory to would NEVER do that if they were in his shoes. Fools like Obasanjo who is now a tribal hero to his fellow conspiratorial oil lickers rigged elections all through his time in power and even fought for an unconstitutional third term. Would that old amala hypocrite have conceded defeat if he was in your shoes? I am massively disappointed in Jonathan and have not recovered from that shock.. Yes, his cowardly surrender to a far less equipped and far less suitable opponent has now crowned him as a so-called 'super statesman' . . . and Nigerians would have a positive memory of him in the future, BUT the present is intolerable because he failed to do the needful! |
No tears to waste for the mofo. |
I trust my Awesome Wike. he is not a docile pushover like Jonathan. He WILL resist any attempt by the Aboki/Yoruba owned APC to annex Rivers State. That is for sure. |
tblacker:The fact that a place is a federal capital means that the ENTIRE country's wealth pours into that place - creating massive development and tremendous economic opportunities that inevitably attract citizens of the country. This creates unfair advantage to that area and sort of neutralises any tribal or clannish pretensions to such a place. If the Yoruba people had exclusively used their own resources to develop Lagos into what it is today, ehen, you can make mouth. It's therefore unfair for the so-called indigenes or 'dwellers' of that place to claim ownership of the place and threaten to eject others and what not. Why not claim your oshogbo or Ado-Ekiti? Why are you all parasites latching onto Lagos? It's just ridiculous. |
tblacker:Lagos was Nigeria's Federal Capital since the 1960s until 1991, during the period of unprecedented wealth, oil boom, etc. Do you know what that means? Some of you are so daft. All the massive oil money (belonging to the south South) used to develop Lagos, na Yoruba get am? The same influx of people that happened in Lagos in currently happening in Abuja. The seat of government always attracts people. Tomorrow now, some Abokki elements would come out and claim Abuja as their land. The most annoying part is the wretched Oyo , Osun, Ekiti etc. Indigenes would also join mouth to claim Lagos. Forgetting that they had very little input in making Lagos what it is today. Lazy things. |
I have nothing against Ambode as a person, to be brutally honest. He does seem a pleasant and likeable fellow. Doesn't come across as someone that would be as egotistical and elitist as Fashola, or as tribalistic and useless as the Oba of Lagos and the APC. If he eventually becomes the governor I wouldn't consider it a tragedy because I think he is a good guy...in terms of appearances at least. However, his candidacy is enmeshed in too much filth. Tinubu's greedy and megalomaniac image looms large over his head. This fiefdom has lasted for 16 years. That is long enough. We want a fresh and clean start with a character that is not beholden or enslaved to anybody. We want a governor that recognises the unique status of Lagos as a former capital and a cosmopolitan megalopolis that cannot be reduced to a tribal Yoruba enclave. At this moment, Jimi Agbaje is the most credible choice. That's why I will vote for Jimi Agbaje, come rain or shine. |
huptin:You and your owambe Oba are very daft. Nowhere else would you see a traditional ruler make such statements. It is even tolerable to be openly partisan, but to shamelessly come out and order an entire ethnic group to vote for your preferred candidate or risk "dying in the lagoon" is the most disgraceful thing any public figure (let alone oba) can say. Even mere militants like Asari Dokubo have never said anything that bad. The foolish Oba deserves all the scorn and insult he has been receiving. He deserves even more - he should be prosecuted and jailed for inciting the public and disrupting public law and order. Useless iiidiot of an Oba. |
Yahoo boys and others who earn their money in hard currency would not be too pleased with this news. Afterall, the price of beer will not reduce as the dollar exchange rate reduces, neither will ashawo price or anything else reduce, so what is the benefit to them. Lol. |
vedaxcool:I dey tell you. People just fail to learn from history. I wouldn't be surprised to see even Tinubu's slave Osibanjo revolt against him sooner than later when he tastes the crumbs of power associated with the vice presidency... Let alone the President and Commander in Chief himself. Godfather for where? |
praxisnetworks:Look at this fool. Do you think the Igbo man has got the time to stop you from trading in his market? The real question you should ask is: Do you have what it takes to successfully COMPETE against the Igbo man in a neutral zone, let alone in his backyard? Yoruba lack the entrepreneurial acumen of the Igbos. They also lack the courage, adventurousness, risk taking tendency, and venturesomeness of the Igbos. That explains everything. Most of you fools who have never travelled outside Lagos think that Igbos' only have a presence here. Go to Abuja, you would discover that Lagos is even nothing. The Igbos have colonised the Abuja property market and the Abuja business landscape. It's called a free market economy, if you know what that means. Meanwhile, the only Yoruba you would find in Abuja are hungry taxi drivers and electricians. They don't have the heart or the acumen to leave their tribal hole in the South West and go elsewhere to prove themselves. Local champions. Nobody is stopping you from going to the south East to do business or contest positions. You have to have a presence somewhere, make yourself successful and relevant there, before you can successfully seek political or economic actualisation there. Igbos in Lagos, Abuja and virtually every major city in Nigeria have had the courage and acumen to settle in and prove themselves. That's why you would see an Igbo House of Rep member in Lagos. Nobody 'dashed' them anything. They worked hard and spent hard for it. Don't expect anybody to dash you lazy Yoruba people anything. It's a free market economy, remember! Only the strongest survive! There is no "fairness" in this matter. |
In light of the hypocritical, conniving stance of Yoruba bastards on Nairaland and elsewhere in support of the their bastard Oba of Lagos (a discredited Oba that sleeps with prostitutes and drinks to stupor nightly), I reiterate my Clarion Call. These sons of a dirty dog only cry "democracy" when it suits their amala interests. Nothing is more repugnant than hypocrisy and double-speak. Imagine a PDP member or non-yoruba Oba in a PDP governed state had uttered these same hateful words that came of the useless Akiolu's mouth! What would have been the reaction of these Yoruba bastards here? Ndigbo,, this is not time for apathy and indifference. Come out in your numbers. We are in a state of war. |
Jorussia:People like you (and I apologise to actual human beings for using 'people' to describe an animal like you) are the problem with humanity. How did Agbaje 'pitch' the Igbo nation against the useless, ashawo fucking, beer guzzling, careless talk of the bastard Oba of Lagos? Did Agbaje put words in his mouth or did he prepare a written statement for the Oba to recite against the Igbos in Lagos? Foolishness and hypocrisy has become the hallmark of the amala swallowing pigs in this part of the world, and it gets more irritating by the minute. |
