Not sure I can pay $500 (N100k) for a chinko phone, regardless of specs, the key thing is build quality and durability. The only Chinese brands I can trust are the organised giants like Huawei, Lenovo and Co. One can't expect an elephone phone to last for like 2 or 3 years without giving me wahala. I have used my Samsung galaxy and Nokia phones for years now, without issues. Why will I buy a N100k phone that will start misbehaving after a few months? |
Shameless hags. Una nogo carry una over-bleached, over-stretchmarked bodies siddon for one place. Na to dey parade from one local club to the other dey find wetin I no know. |
Why did she use a cucumber, it is not big enough, she should have used a tuber of yam. Idiiot. Some of these useless things need serious help. |
Dogara and Saraki are fast becoming heroes of democracy. I like their doggedness. You can't allow some megalomanic drug addicts and thieves parading themselves as 'party leaders' to impose nonsense on an independent arm of government. Which brings me to a very important question. When people talk about "the party" who exactly constitutes "the party'. You must respect "the party"... "The party" chose Gbajabiamila. Who the Bleep is this useless "party" other than Bola Ahmed Tinubu? This is really annoying. |
Where did the attempted rape take place? Did the alleged rapist intrude into the man's house and surreptitious attempt to rape his unsuspecting sister? If this was the case, then the man certainly has every right to shoot to kill, and any lawyer can easily argue that he was acting in self defence in the face of probable harm by a violent intruder. |
Look at these hypocritical bastards. It was acceptable to you when Tambuwal decamped to the APC and still insisted on retaining the speakership of the House of Representatives, abi? What did you APC lizards do then? You gleefully pointed out that there is no law that says the majority party must produce the Speaker. Is there any law that says the majority party must produce the Deputy Senate President in this case? So why is this suddenly unacceptable? Bloody asswipes. |
I was hoping that this addendum would address something else that is very important. I am not sure what the so-called comparison between Saraki and Tinubu hopes to achieve. If the aim is to demonstrate why Tinubu is somehow 'superior' to Saraki and ultimately why Saraki should answer 'yes sir' to Tinubu, then I would have to say that that is ridiculous and totally senseless. Tinubu has zero contribution to Saraki's political career, and both men are Godfathers in their respective rights. It will be idiiiotic for anyone to expect Saraki to defer to Tinubu for any reason. For what? |
khalebzy:So, OP and anyone else here who might know about these things, what is the best way to handle this situation if, God forbid, one finds himself in such? This looks like a really dangerous situation to be in. Being careful wouldn't help in this context, so what should one do? |
Very interesting read. You have impressive storytelling skills. I have an almost identical experience which happened in Obalende one early morning sometime in 2009 or so. I wasn't as lucky as you though, as I lost my phone to the miserable-looking and guttural-sounding lowlife. Ever since then I always instinctively tap my pocket at a rate of 7 times per second whenever I have to walk through crowded /black spots, or when using public transport. |
Mercie97:Some of you are still stuck in the past. You need to move with the times. Don't forget that OBJ's crude use of power to interfere in the National Assembly was only possible in his first and early second term in office when 'eye never open'... since Nigeria's 4th Republic democratic experiment was still nascent and wobbly. By the time eyes opened gradually, the likes of Ken Nnamani and Aminu Bello Masari gave OBJ a bloody nose by frustrating his agendas and ultimately destroying his foolish third term bid. What could OBJ do? Nothing! This was a man who could not even out-rig and outsmart his enemy Bola Tinubu in the 2003 governorship election in Lagos, in spite of all his federal might, even though Rigging was the norm then unlike now that GEJ has made votes to actually count. So where exactly is OBJ's fabled political brutality and sagacity? I find it funny when people like you overrate OBJ's political prowess. Whatever strong-arm and illegal tactics he used back then to interfere in the NA were due to the limited political exposure at the time and can't be successfully used in that manner today. |
jaysay:Bro, Hope it doesn't run on Windows RT? Is it the full-fledged Windows 8.1 that runs on PCs? Which means I can install any regular outward that I use on laptops? If that's the case, then this tablet is a winner for that price. Please confirm. |
Is it the full Windows 8 or mere Windows RT? If it's RT, forget it. I want a full-fledged Windows OS. |
Tundiano:Lol. Proper yansh opening. Abeg tell us more. |
See IGP belle. How many shiploads of Big Stout and catfish peppersoup have been consumed by this stomach over the last three decades? |
Were the SUVs burnt by the fleeing robbers or by an angry mob? If the latter was the case, then what a daft mob it must be. They should know that the SUVs were certainly snatched from innocent owners and merely used for operational purposes. |
Somewhere in my heart of hearts as a chronic GEJ supporter in the last dispensation, my second choice was always Atiku. In spite of his somewhat overemphasised corruption toga, I think he would make a very effective leader. He is the most 'detribalised' Northern politician of his generation - with solid contacts across the country's geopolitical zones. His campaign blueprint was the most articulate, detailed and clear-cut, even better than Jonathan's in my unbiased view. He has the carriage, digital 'swag', necessary guile, force of personality, and 'eyes on the ball' focus needed to make things happen. It is probably a guilty pleasure of some sort, but I actually like the man and would have preferred to see him in Aso Rock instead of the ineffectual Daura President, by a long shot. If he somehow ends up the presidential candidate of either the APC or the PDP in 2019, he would enjoy my overt or covert support, assuming God is merciful enough to preserve our lives till then. |
Why are they still alive? They should have been wasted by the mob. Anyway I trust SARS. They would later quietly waste the eediots anyway. |
Bolded:Beautiful. This is exactly my view on the matter. You should be arrested for 'stealing my thunder', lol. Any girl who has some sense would do herself a favour by printing out this post, reading it day and night. There's more to keeping a man than sex cosThe End. |
Small boy, calm down. You don't know anything about politics. In Nigerian politics, 24 hours is a heck of a long time, let alone four LONG years. Nobody can say for sure who would emerge presidential candidate of either the APC or the PDP in 2019. Nothing about the recent developments in the NASS has any bearing on 2019. |
How did they get into the premises in the first place? I know it takes small 'leg' to get in. One can't just stroll in uninvited. |
quid:Did they come to point a gun at you to steal your billions, and possibly rape your wife in the process? Look, there is nowhere in the civilised world where violent crimes and financial crimes are equated. It doesn't matter if you embezzle trillions. Violently dispossessing someone of something (with the physical and psychological trauma that goes with it) is always worse. Armed robbers deserve the most gruesome fate imaginable. If you have ever encountered them and experienced their wickedness, you would know better |
So this Mangal fellow is still alive and waxing strong? He has been the multi-billionaire kingpin of smuggling and just about all kinds of illegal businesses for ages. I remember my dad and other NCS relatives serving in the North during the early 2000s were always talking about him and his overbearing influence. He was some sort of mafia overlord whom the NCS itself dreaded. His power reached an all time high during the Yar'Adua administration as he was some sort of godfather to the president then. I know for sure that Buhari would not do anything about Mangal's criminal activities. He would cover him as his Katsina brother and fellow Abokki Jihadist. |
Yes. Less photographs, more action and absolutely no excuses! By the way, someone needs to shoot that his photographer. He is a serious clog in the wheel. |
I saw the same bunch of Daura looking cows along my Estate gate this morning... Confidently obstructing traffic with the assurance of 'nothing dey happen, as na our papa dey power'. Very annoying indeed. |
Yeah. But how much should be budgeted for constructing the 'African ICC' headquarters in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare? Would 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 gazillion Zimbabwean dollars be enough? |
Just incredible. Look at the flyovers sef. Without meaning to sound defeatist or pessimistic, it's hard to imagine how Nigeria can achieve this level of development in the next 100 years. |
Marotzke:We are talking about societies that have achieved stratospheric development and you are here gloating about private jets and mansions owned by unscrupulous businessmen. This kind of mindset explains why we are so backward. Steal money and do anything to acquire illicit wealth in order to show off your conspicuous consumption. How does that benefit society? Is that progress? I tire for una. |
I hope the Abokki wouldn't bring his dirty black cows along with him. Aso Rock is not cattle grazing area. |
Buhari needs Saraki more than Saraki needs Buhari. I wonder what the whole fuss is about. Saraki cannot be impeached as things stand. And if the presidency and the APC forces him into full 'Tambuwal mode' in the sense of having to embrace the party that helped him get the position (PDP), then he would make Buhari's tenure very uncomfortable. As long as Saraki maintains the PDP's undivided support, he is untouchable.. . regardless of what Buhari or OBJ thinks. |
Mr. Man tell your father to sell the house to another Island wannabe (during dry season, of course, lol) and use the proceeds to buy a decent house in Surulere or Ikeja. |
atiakatata:Imagine spending millions of dollars on a useless property in this overpriced ghetto. When similar amounts would buy you paradise on earth in civilised societies. I don't think anyone that earned his money legitimately can waste it on such rubbish. Lekki Phase 1 and the rest. All in the name of wanting to form nonsense 'class', only to end up short-changing yourself with pathetic quality of life. Very primitive mentality. Then again, we live in a very primitive society. Tufiakwa. |
A cursory glance at the three able-bodied youths whose ages range between 18 and 26, will easily pass them for malnourished and ailing individuals, judging by their fragile and seeming innocent and harmless looks.Madam journalist, how can someone be able-bodied and malnourished/fragile at the same time? |
