Not sure I can pay $500 (N100k) for a chinko phone, regardless of specs, the key thing is build quality and durability. The only Chinese brands I can trust are the organised giants like Huawei, Lenovo and Co.

One can't expect an elephone phone to last for like 2 or 3 years without giving me wahala. I have used my Samsung galaxy and Nokia phones for years now, without issues. Why will I buy a N100k phone that will start misbehaving after a few months?

I have an almost identical experience which happened in Obalende one early morning sometime in 2009 or so. I wasn't as lucky as you though, as I lost my phone to the miserable-looking and guttural-sounding lowlife.
