Calebbold: From your post, I notice you said as at November 2021, the worth of your portfolio is 97M and you earned 9.77M as profit...that is, you made around 10% as profit last year.
Well, I am not suppose to say this but I just have to since we are all here to learn. Bros, I think you are not earning enough with the huge fund at your disposal.
The market paid so well last year and you only made 10% as profit?
Honestly, I think you have to do better. It is dividend not profit. They are different. |

onegentleguy: Here's to the fellow who asked if PRESCO was undervalued after I posted a highlight on OKOMU... YES... indeed PRESCO is GROSSLY UNDERPRICED!
...infact, slightly even ahead of OKOMU should one compare the current mkt peg to their value accretive stance/potential.
Using a mix of valuation model that adopts a highly CONSERVATIVE approach by raking-off near 2x peg to surrounding risk including a further premium given that the just released report is unaudited, I have a FVE of N139.58 ...which implies an approx 59% discount from Fridays closing price.
[i]Rating: Overweight/Overperform[/i
In PRESCO, I believe.
CAVEAT: Due diligence still applies as always.

OBAGADAFFI: Russia and Ukraine crisis might affect Oil prices. Yeah. It is already having impact on oil price. However, with the miserable dividend I received last FY, it is better to align with other oil firms. Besides, they just completed acquisition of Enyo. I don't see any increase in dividend this year. |

customstreet: Road Plc suffered the same faith before it eventually wound up. Declared 1 for 4 bonus and 45k dividend. Took almost a year before the dividend was paid and bonus never acted upon. I wrote a lot of petitions to SEC, NGX, African Prudential and the company itself, all to no avail.
For me, I don’t think SEC is actually protecting the interest of shareholders but the interest of anybody that contributes to the SEC pocket. If u check very well concerning inaction of SEC to approve the corporate action embarked upon by those companies, it would not be more than money issue- companies not meeting making one payment or the others to SEC
God will help us It's a pity. There is nothing we can do but to wait and see. |

OBAGADAFFI: MTN might be GOLD, but with the recent 575 million ordinary shares offers, the price might fall in the short term.
The offer price might be below the Current Price. There is a strategy in place to ensure that the sale won't have negative impact on the price. |

yMcy56: That's why sometimes, my opinion always differ from the analysis here.... Mr. Market will always do what Mr. Market will do irrespective of some opinions here............. Not totally saying they may not be right......but I use it to gauge some actions and inactions sometimes and follow my mind where convinced.
For instance, same NGX that someone is waiting for @10 still closed without shedding price and, with more bids than offers........just siting an instance....
Think the best bet is to have a strategy in place. Not neglecting time to time review of the Coy's stand. If I'd panicked, would have sold at loss but just zeroed my mind to either average down if it bottoms or just leave it. I am waiting for it at that price unless they declare a higher dividend than what Emma projected. Even if it takes 2 years I will wait it out. If it comes fine. if it doesn't fine. It's going to be a long term investment for me so I have buy at a good price. |
