According to one school of though, the earth's climate destruction is already beyond redemption. This is supported by Greta Thunberg, schoolgirl climate change warrior.

The other school of thought says that we can only do little as the problem lies in our planetary solar system, i.e. the earth's planetary orbit around the solar system dictates the temperature of the earth just like the moon's gravitational pull is producing waves in our oceans.

We may have to find another planet in the galaxy to colonize if this continues unabated. grin

You just want to break homes.

What of those children that were swapped by nurses? How do we settle that?

Go home with your devilish advice, it's not for good and you just want to create an avenue for doctors to make more money.

Byebye
child swapping is rare most of the time because when a baby is born, the person came with the pregnant woman is usually showed the child immediately for identification and all... in order to avoid long stories...

Peterosky:
To the best of my knowledge, what ever you wrote there is vise versa.Because I know of girls who will love and show it openly, same as men. So no need for all this long episode against the females. Although some of your points would have been valid if only you try to do away with your gender bias.
Guys don't let any one spoil your good romance skills when you find that miss right.
My candid advice is that we learn to love wisely instead of loving foolishly. The best to do is to love and watch when the other partner is trying to be funny. This will enable you adjust to suit him/her.
Love is Sweet when it is balanced and not the other way round. We can not afford to continue to subject our girls to undeserved torture due to one Man's miseducation, misconception and hate for the female folks.Let's say no to any form of miseducation.Do not allow yourself to be fooled by any body who intentionally wants to fool you. Otherwise, why is the topic tagged "Miseducation"
A word they say is enough for the wise. I am out.
alright, you've been heard.

can you just move on please?

Mrshizzy:
I don't have a problem with none igbos who have absolutely no idea about our traditions....as for the Igbo's here shouting that the op should damn the consequences, you all should know that there are traditions that are not binding on all Igbo people. Some are unique to a particular people among the Igbo's. If your own tradition is not against the OSU thing, then fine and good, you are free to marry one. But if your tradition forbids it, there is little you can do to stop it, because it is not a fight you can win easily. First you have to get everyone to agree to abolish it before you can proceed to marry one, definitely you won't marry first and start doing the fighting. I see a lot of people shouting I'm from anambara and we don't give a damn. Encouraging the OP to damn the consequences. This is coming from a people that can not damn the consequences and kill a python in most of their villages. I'm sure the Op can kill a python and damn the consequences.
personally where am from it was not practiced, so we don't have Osus... I'm from Ngwa. but that doesn't mean I should give mindless suggestions, am not stupid na... And don't plan on misleading some one..

Most of the Non Igbos here insulting igbos particularly the Yorubas, they stillnuse human heads and some cases live human being to bury their kings as well as much other evil things... I just no get anybody time sha... they can continue but the OP should be guided and not take decisions based on what some random person told him to do citing 'love' when I know it's not the love of God that doesn't change.
RomanceRe: Osu-Caste System Is Taking The Love Of My Life Away From Me. by henryobinna(m): 6:09pm On Sep 23, 2019
Mrshizzy:
You just said it all, most people here don't really understand this OSU thing......if it were a cross you would carry alone, I doubt the tradition would have lasted this long. And the spiritual repercussions of a thing, no one mentioned that, just shows that most people commenting here are not informed. No NGO or government can solve this issue.

The real issue lies in the spiritual aspect......even with the strong hold of Christianity in Nigeria, traditional beliefs still hold sway.
You have to realize that a sizeable majority of Nairalanders are kids, not just kids but uninformed kids, tho think education starts and ends in the class rooms.
That's why you'll see people urging the OP to damn whatever consequences if he 'loves' the girl. Consequences of something they themselves do not know jack about...
All I can do is wish him good luck, but one thing in life I believe is that, there are always better ones out there.
Good luck to him

Nonsense tradition, bro if actually this so call stupid osu thing is still in existence nd the government once said the abolish it, a word of advice if u trully luv this girl involve an NGO that fight against it. I guess u can do anything to save ur luv but if u can't I be KD osu we marry anything wih a V, Lol
what will the government or NGO really fight?

there's nothing ot be fought here.

the government or NGO won't force his parents and entire community to attend his wedding neither will they force his parents to bless them, not even force the family to accept the girl.

The guy can go on and do court wedding and church wedding if his church is cool with his parents not partaking in it. But traditionally, he and his family (plus kids) are not recognized... The father can refuse to let him into his house or anything concerning him, so what will the government and NGO do in such case?

Some of you who are none Igbos or do not have knowledge of the thing will just be giving advice uppn advice on a subject you lack information of. The truth is nobody can stop him from marrying the girl if he so wishes... At the same time nobody can force others to accept/recognise he and his marriage(family as well)... I don't know how marriages are done in other parts of Nigeria but in Igbo land, it goes beyond the few hours of ceremonies...

By the way, the Osu thing has spiritual repercussions, strangely enough nobody made mention of it here.

I will only advise the OP to go ahead if he's a devoted Christian(because of the spiritual repercussions) and if he's ready to damn the social consequences(family, community etc etc)

Other wise, just do what you know is right. By the way, marrying her sef right now based on her good conduct and love does not determine what she'll turn into tomorrow... people change... love changes.

Good luck with whatever decision you decide to go with

You mention the bold as if Nigerians are better off than African Americans or richer or enjoy a higher quality of life. Inasmuch as AAs have their faults (which I've written on about on NL), they live FAR BETTER lives than the vast majority of other blacks notably Nigerians - the highest proportion of blacks globally. Furthermore, AAs have the highest GDP per capita of groups under the black race. No other set of black people enjoy a higher standard of living than AAs. It's shameless of you to mock AAs yet reside in a sh!thole and cannot make your immediate society to function properly. So please, they (AAs) are better than the rest of Nigerians and any set of black people globally. They (AAs) should be ashamed of their cousins who cannot develop a society to function properly yet find time to mock them who reside in a place where things work.
I guess you're one... they're enjoying and at the same time ruining a working system they didn't build.

By the way, all what I wrote about the African Americans has nothing to do with economics. life doesn't start and end with money. Anywhere, anyday and anytime Nigerians are far better than African Americans when culture, sanity is talked about. They're group of bleeped up people doesn't matter if they reside in paradise.

To show how Nigerians are more superior, compare African Americans in the US there with Nigerians who move to the US you'd they're no where.

So you African Americans should fix your useless drug and crime infested communities with multiple strings of baby mamas and multiple baby daddies from one single lady

Bahddo:
I need to date all women to know they are all manipulative? Funny. I never said all women try to manipulate THEIR MEN only. They all try to manipulate men, even strangers they just met.

Are you talking about the ladies in relationships that would never say what they want but pull all sort of stunts to lead you to do it for them?

Or perhaps ladies who friend-zone the nicest guys around them, milking them for attention and perhaps monetary benefits without the slightest consideration for the guys' wants? Or the ones who keep them for later when they are done with the bad guys and need someone naive to tie the knot with?

Don't bother trying to ask about mothers. They rank up there among the worst kind of manipulators, gaslighting their children (especially sons) as often as it suits them.

Guile is a woman’s treasured weapon, and unlike men they often don't go direct for what they want. So yeah, all ladies would TRY to manipulate someone (mostly men) to get what they want even if they don't all succeed. There is also a 90% chance that YOU have tried to manipulate at least one guy in the last week.
you're very accurate

trying to explain things to these folks is a waste of time most of the time. Just expect her rebuttal particularly those on mothers.

I wonder why people claim mothers are so special... its very funny and shows a very low sense of judgment.

Mothers were once girls, just like girls of today, they exhibited these characteristics too during their time, it might not be the way the modern young woman does hers but it's all the same thing;manipulation.

Modern women are slightly extreme because the society is permitting it more and more...but at fhe core of it all, it's 100% the same thing.

Once again your(a person's) mother might be special to you.. She is nothing special to the next person, she's just a random person... why the women/mother worship like mothers are gods...As your mum she deservese all the love and respect accorded to your mother and that's all about it.

My last paragraph is not for you(bahddo) though
