Yeah sure, I can |
@Claremont--I think I have to agree with you for the first time, I dont see any sense being in a marriage you are no longer enjoying but rather enduring. Thats sheer suicide and can kill the man faster than HIV sef. I have so many young guys who died carelessly cos of marital problems. The other day we heard about a guy that killed his wife and dismembered her body parts. To avoid such things, whenever you think its not working out please(am warning everybody) back out. |
@OP-- I think you need to work on yourself first, maybe you didnt give yourself much time to pick up your pieces before you started with this your new guy. The thing is this, it is normal to feel the way you are feeling and the fact that the date for the marriage is getting closer, the tension will always be high so its normal. But if you actually see yourself being with other guys, then that calls for serious concern cos you will surely do that, its just a matter of time and that could be detrimental to your marriage. Take a trip and go on vacation somewhere cool, you might just rediscover yourself. |
Yeah the High Chief is back dammytex:This is not a playing ground for kids. You dont mess around with my woman cos you might just have yourself to blame. Oya, now run go write some love letters to that gal in your class, else I will spank your a.s.s |
Daytonbale:Yeah sure, thats what you get in any LAWLESS country. If US becomes a lawless country today, politicians will steal too. You see white guys in naija disobeying traffic rules but they cannot try it here in their country cos they know the law will catch up with them. So we have to start by first making Nigeria a law abiding country. |
The problem I have with Obasanjo is him trying to foist leaders on us, his do-or-die politics stinks and should be condemned. Atiku on the other hand, IMHO is the most corrupt Nigeria Politician who should be hiding his greedy face in shame. |
An Ikeja High Court in Lagos has heard how former Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank Plc, Erastus Akingbola, allegedly transferred the bank’s 8.5 million pounds into his domiciliary account. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akingbola and an associate, Bayo Dada, are standing trial before Justice Habeeb Abiru for allegedly stealing N47.1 billion belonging to the bank. At the resumed trial on Tuesday, Mr Abdulraheem Jimoh, Intercontinental Bank’s Chief Inspector, alleged that Akingbola converted the sum to his own use. Jimoh, who was being led in evidence by the EFCC prosecutor, Mr Emmanuel Ukala (SAN), told the court that the illegal transfers were made between March 16th and May 13th 2009 . He alleged that Akingbola used Inter-Capital Market Limited (ICML), a subsidiary of the bank, to carry out the transaction by unilaterally increasing its lifeline from N2 billion to N5 billion. The witness said: “they had a lifeline of N2 billion which, as at the time of this transaction, had been completely used. On March 11, 2009, ICML applied for an increase from N2 billion to N5 billion. “The application was made to the Executive Director Investment and Strategy (Intercontinental) and the request was recommended and approved by the ED.” He said that the normal process was for the bank’s Board Risk Committee to ratify and approve such a request when it was a necessity. “In this case there was no approval or ratification,” he added. According to him, it was from this increase that ICML gave N2.1 billion to another company, Regal Investment Company Limited, owned by Dr Raymond Obieri, the Chairman of Intercontinental Bank. Jimoh alleged that the N2.1 billion was distributed to six bureau de change operators who converted it to foreign currencies by selling it to their customers. The said the bureau de change operators later paid the money back into the bank’s Inter-Departmental Suspense (IDS) Account, Jimoh added. He said that the sum of 8.5 million pounds was paid by a lady called Loveth into the account of Fulgher, a United Kingdom-based company in charge of leasing Intercontinental Bank offices. The money, he said, was paid into Fulgher’s account with Royal Bank of Scotland. The witness said the money was later transferred to Akingbola’s domiciliary account which was an irregular banking practice. He said: “what we observed is that as at the time of the transfer of the 8.5 million pounds to Scotland, Akingbola did not have sufficient amount in his domiciliary account. “He had only 10,043 pounds in his account. Ordinarily, banks do not transfer fund to customers whose accounts are not credited and Intercontinental Bank does not transfer funds from its NOSTRO account either.” Jimoh claimed that Intercontinental Bank had no transaction with Fulgher on such an amount and therefore the transaction was not a transaction of the bank. Earlier, Akingbola’s lawyer, Chief Felix Fagbohungbe, had brought two applications dated July 15 and July 19 respectively, before the court. Fagbohungbe asked the court to discontinue the trial pending the hearing of the applications. This was opposed by the EFCC, who claimed that the defence was trying to frustrate the trial and asked the court to dismiss them. Abiru, however, ruled in favour of the prosecution and ordered that the trial should continue because the applications could still be heard any other time. NAN reports that the matter was adjourned till October 11 for continuation of trial and possible hearing of the applications. |
Obasanjo Is Nigeria’s Greatest Problem, Says Atiku Atiku, in a statement by his Media Office in Abuja yesterday, said: “It is surprising that former President Obasanjo is now posturing as the apostle of zoning when indeed, he was the one who did everything to destroy that equitable means of power sharing among all sections of Nigerian.http://www.nigeriancompass.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2278:obasanjo-is-nigerias-greatest-problem-says-atiku&catid=54:nigeria-today |

A 23-year-old nursing mother, Bose Lateef, has been arrested for alleged murder by men of the Oyo State police command. The suspect, who was arrested on Monday at Olomi area in Oluyole Local Government Area of the state, was said to have thrown her seven-month-old baby inside a well, which consequently led to her death. Nigerian Tribune learnt that the woman came to Ibadan after she had a quarrel with her husband in Lagos, when the incident happened. The state Police Public Relations (PPRO), ASP Femi Okanlawon, who confirmed the incident in Ibadan, on Tuesday, said that a man identified as Alhaji reported the incident at Sanyo police station. He said police detectives visited the scene of the incident and the baby was brought out from the well dead. Consequently, he said the suspect was arrested for interrogation. When the Nigerian Tribune visited the police station, the suspect confessed to the crime, but said she did not know how it happened. The suspect, who said she had been in Ibadan for about three weeks, said her husband was also in Ibadan last Friday and claimed that they settled their differences before he returned to Lagos on Saturday. She said her husband had asked her to follow him to Lagos but that she begged that she should be allowed to stay till Tuesday. Before leaving, she said her husband had warned that she should be ready to take full responsibility for whatever happened to her since she had decided to stay till Tuesday. According to her, she had visited her mother around 10.00p.m and when the baby cried, she gave her food, adding that she didn’t know what befell her when she picked the baby and threw her inside a well in the compound. |
The Jama’atul Ahlus Sunna Lid Da’awatis Jihad,JASLIDAT, otherwise known as Boko Haram has been quoted by an on-line report that the masterminds of the radical Islamic sect are some prominent Northerners, whose identities would be made public soon. According to the report, by an adherent of the slain leader of the group, Muhammad Yusuf, who also serves as the spokesman, Mallam Ali Teshako, the sect emerged due to lack of good governance and injustice in the country. He said the original brains behind the sect’s formation were Northern elite who, under the pretext of sponsoring youths to study in the Middle-East, offered them as mercenaries to countries interested in training terrorists. The spokesperson of the sect, also known as Yusufiyya, named after its slain leader, said the original name of the group was Taliban. He said Boko Haram was not its name, but that it was given to it by people in the states where they have followers and have been clashing with security operatives. According to him, those who formed JASLIDAT thought they could manipulate Yusuf into toeing their line, but he resisted. “If he were alive, he would have spilled the beans on them. Nonetheless, we will reveal their identities at our convenience.” He said the clashes between the group and security operatives was as a result of provocations by the police. He recalled that in 2009, the police, who had shot dead two of their members, traced them to a cemetery where they went to bury them and wounded 20 more people. Teshako added: “Not satisfied, they trailed those wounded to a hospital in Maiduguri and prevented them from getting blood donations and treatments. In the wake of all these, we were hounded, chased from our homes, some of us were killed and many were arrested including myself.” He indicated that many of the atrocities attributed to JASLIDAT were perpetrated by killer-squads funded by some serving and former governors in the North-East. He cited the attack on a police station that was carried out by ECOMOG militia allegedly sponsored by a former Borno State governor. He said, after the attack, his group was blamed. Meantime, Teshako has dismissed the Akhwat Akwop as another “group of vultures” that wants to feast on misfortunes of the apex government. “This is another group of thieves who want to seek relevance from the government.” Investigations, however, revealed that in August 2009, shortly after Muhammad Yusuf was killed, he was linked with one businessman Bello Damagum, who was alleged to have been receiving money from an alleged al-Qaeda group in Sudan to recruit youngmen to his organisation. Part of the funds were also allegedly passed on to Yusuf. In 2004, one Mohammed Salman (aka Ibrahim) was arrested in Lahore in Pakistan and linked to Al-Qaeda. Same year, the State Security Service,SSS, in Kano, paraded some young men who absconded from an al-Qaeda training camp in Mauritania. The SSS director in Kano then, Sadiq Dalhatu, who is now retired, paraded them, saying they were sent to be turned into “extreme Islamic zealots.” This led to the arrest and detention of Damagum, a director with Media Trust Limited (publishers of Daily Trust titles), and two others by SSS. Later, a court in Kano ruled that their detention was unlawful and a violation of their fundamental human rights as enshrined under chapter 4 section 35 of the constitution. Damagum and the other suspects were detained from June 23 to July 7, 2004. They were awarded N150, 000 cost as damages. SSS was also directed to write a public apology to the three applicants, for their unlawful detention. Teshako, however, said in Damagum was a small fry in the complex matrix of the Boko Haram web created by Northern elites. His claim was corroborated by a news website which reported that evidence of the movement’s emergence gathered by SSS were given to the police which refused to act. It said: “Inroads made by SSS were thwarted by Muslim leaders who attacked the Director-General of SSS, Mr. Afakirya Gadzama, for trying to humiliate Islam because he is a Christian.” The report, entitled, ‘Nigeria: al-Qaeda presence in Nigeria has been kept under wraps’ stated that “to allay fears of religious prejudices the SSS chief organised a meeting with some top Muslim leaders and some of the arrested members of Boko Haram. They (the Northern leaders) have come out to accept the findings of the security services.” |

I wonder how some people's minds are programmed to work. You dont need a PHD in understanding to understand everything was just mere jokes. Please I beg you in the name of all that is good and holy to stop mentioning my name.190:190 you dont have to disrespect her, you guys take things too serious on this board |

StarBoard:FYI Ojukwu NEVER ran away, he traveled to France to negotiate for arms before Efiong surrendered, so stop spewing the rubbish your rat-poison-drinkin-awolowo fed you guys. The SSS still has Abiola's sex tape with his wife Kudirat when she visited him in the prison, the ho.rny devil died or rather was killed like a chicken in prison and shiit didnt happen, your leaders in the army were maimed and humbled by Abacha while you guys watched and were scratching your oily a,ss. So stop displaying your cowardice here |
Ikemba God is with you and you will be remembered for protecting and fighting for your people. You used your wealth and personal reasources to fight the war while the likes of Awolowo were busy enriching themselves and playing a second fiddle to mallams. Yorubas contributed immensely to the bad state of that dungeon called Nigeria and they will surely someday regret that very act of betrayal. Little wonder that part of the country is so under-developed. I always laugh when I see Yoruba dudes complaining about Nigeria not working, but the only thing I can say to them is GOODMORNING, cos it seems they are just waking up. |
T9ksy:As if anything is gonna happen if that happens, Yorubas are up for grabs anytime, you guys are not a problem to worry about. |
Ojukwu is a man that will be respected and feared even in grave by many. At a young age he achieved a lot and stood against oppression. What Ojukwu saw yesterday is what many are fighting for today. We all should pray that God will bless us to even die at such a ripe age. But, one thing I know for sure is that Ikemba's death(not anytime soon) will inspire so many Igbos again to start the fight for our cause. |
omega25red:You might just be right |
