okay. I was misquoting the bible, abi? What about the scripture below? Was it also talking about God and Man ?

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. - 2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV)

You can sow in so many ways my fried, God has already told you in the Bible how to give and sow, He said; When you give to the poor, you are giving to me. So you do not need any man of God(whatever you guys call these thieves) to tell you how to give to Him. The richest men on forbes list sowed nothing and most are not even christians. Listen, God is not interested in the riches of this world and who told you that God's blessings must be in monetary terms. Honestly, Nigerians do not love God cos they are only worshipping Him cos of what they will get from Him and not true love

So in your "little brain", you attribute this "accident" to the fact that the man challenged the Preacher-man? angry angry

What about all those who got roasted and died (a very painful death!) in the DANA Air crash?
Who did they challenge? General Overseer?

or did you not know that some of those people were even Pastors?

All those "collapsed building accidents" in Lagos is also because somebody in those houses challenged an MOG, abi?
You can as well say that Yar Ardua died because he challenged a Pastor! grin grin

Use your brain and stop being to superstitious!

The real God does not exact those kind of wickedness/revenge for "challenging the status-quo" .....
..... Otherwise he could have created us like "Animals or Robots", without a "thinking faculty and ability to know right from wrong"!

Read your Bible well, know the God you serve.

Lastpage!

Thank you my brother and the bighead also forgot how Paul totured and killed the preachers of God in the Bible, but God never killed him rather he turned him to his servant. Trust me, if that story sef was true and not one of those many scam stories those con pastors use to put fears into their gullible members(so as not to check their excesses), God would not allow that man to die, rather he would give him so many chances to change his ways. God is not a wicked God and I kinda wonder which kind of God these guys serve these days, cos these pastors present Him to their members as a very wicked God.

@OP----So this stupid Adeboye in his theory wants to tell us that a poor man will always remain poor as he has no dollar nor pounds to give. Whatever happened to widows mite

spyder880: Lets get back to Enugu, and the little little progress we are making. This side road, leading to a small village in Nkwoagu Udi is being tarred for the very first time in history. I took this picture this evening around 6.20pm.

I am happy for them, my own village is still left undone but I rejoice with any good happening, in the hope that one day, it will be my own turn to rejoice as this village is doing right now.

Wowww Spyder this is so nice, Nkwoagu Udi is actually my village market. Thats so nice, Jesus Igweeeee

nitlad:
I'm not entirely sure about the logic behind this, considering the fact that a good number, in fact majority of the debaters themselves are not that old on this forum.
I think it's only fair that you allow members/audience to be as participatory as they want possible in this debate. Also consider the fact that some supposed 'new members' are actually 'older members' here, but they don't have access to their older accounts due to one reason or the other.
.
Consider this a "feedback".

Well, most debates don't give the audience an opportunity to vote at all.
I think it's fair enough to let the audience vote with the criteria we have set.
The reason we decided on this was because it's easy for members to create/generate new ID to cheat or rig.
It's just a mechanism to boycott cheating & rigging.
We will see what we can do but we are not promising anything

shey you no sabi the meaning of past tense. why are you bringing up old wounds. abeg lets move on. culture, politics dem go see you for all the debates. waka far or go do your own make we see.

Roland17: If no one is courageous enough to address these seeming autocratic tendencies of Seun, i think i would and i care less if am banned.

Seun u have succeed in diffusing the already tensed atmosphere with your comments which many conformist agree with, where were u 3 months ago when this idea was conceived? where were u when this thread was created? where were u when all the females invited turned down cuddles request to be either judges or debaters for varied reasons which are respectable?

You are the owner of the website would u claim u never had an idea about this thread before today? not a single comment from u all through the developing process, cos u never thought this thread/ section can create a buzz/ traffic for your business like some of the silly topics that have graced the front page of NL(Like pictures of 2face's poo etal) now the moderator and the hard working organizers become creative by taking this to you-tube you are suddenly trying to hijack this debate diplomatically.

You are the owner yet you could not even confide with the moderator and her crew before making sensitive comments about the structure and organization of the debates yet you claim its not your decision to make, knowing fully well that 85% of NL are conformists with no minds of their own, speaks loud of your man management skills.

This is not an attempt to insult your personality, but a sincere attempt to set the records straight and encourage the Hardworking crew to continue to give their best.

Spot On! Guy, you are full of wisdom.
Tribalism is another thing that should be curbed on nairaland. Take a look at the war between igbos and yorubas on this forum, what has been done about it? Where were the female moderators when this debate started? this is the second time this debate is hitting the front-page or would they claim they were not aware? It is only my kandiikane that came forward. including them after planning is over looks lazy and too convenient.

Seun's suggestion is not bad but it is the timing. Those of us that have been following the progression of this debate, know the efforts that was put into it. Seun suggested it during the heat with Efemena which made it even worse, no one will want to change things to suit her.

Maturity and wisdom are necessities; most people lack this.
A joke was made which all other debaters laughed at; you blew it out of proportion knowing fully well members were watching. You are confirming women have issues.

Oam4j is a matured man, he was just trying to make the environment lively. The moderators that begged, what are you insinuating? The other debaters are not credible enough or what. Is this efemena such a huge deal for this debate. it has always been about her, I think this unfair to the other debaters. if she is no longer interested then we move on. stop giving her the attention she craves for.

You guys should stop all these. This is exactly why I hate the state creation, it brings division among brothers. If we had just one Eastern Region, am not sure all these would come up and my people have failed to see that the sole reason of the first state creation was to destabilize Ndigbo and its paying off, given how you guys are bickering over nothing.

Again, if Onitsha becomes the biggest market in the world, it will definitely be "pride of the East". If Owerri produces the best Engineers and Technology company in the world, we will also take pride in it and call it "Pride of the East" Abia, Ebonyi and other SE states alike. So why do we have to fight over ouselves. I am really disappointed, because I was even expecting Yoruba to be here, rather it is my own people that are here fighting over rubbish, even some people I respect their views here are also involved. Epic shame.

In short, Eden Hazard cost us the game. Okay, that's a new one.
Should I already include him on the list of players you moan about?

What JM does should not come into this for the very reason that we are not employing JM tactics. Maybe it's a tactic by RDM to relieve Hazard of too much defensive work to effectively launch a counter when the need arises, we don't know. All these yarns about not "carrying" Hazard is ridiculous bro. Go have a cold drink and relax.

Like I pointed out previously, I am not for any player who cannot put in a shift but to think that Eden Hazard cost us the game? I know when I am not feeling too well and I need to lie down.

Thank you sir, honeestly, I thought that Ibime had a good understanding of the beautiful sports, but the dude just goofed. Hazard has one of the best statistics so far and faulting an AM for lack of defensive flairs is just funny.

@Coogar, how could you say Torres dove when there was a contact, in that case Young did same too, he had lost balance and there is no way he could have scored. The thing is that Ref killed what would have been one of the best premier league matches in recent times. Man U's win is laughable. Though they won the match, Chelsea won the hearts of football fans around the world. Justice will be served on Wednesday.

PointB: Congratulation Eze Odumchi and Eze Nwayi - Ogugua.

I am wondering if someone (perhaps Okija_juju or Nri_Priest) can take up the Eze and Eze Nwayi e-coronation at a later date in the culture section to complete the process.

I guess someone had asked for guidelines, I only have vague idea how this could be done. But it should be interesting and culturally unifying, I believe.

Okija_juju, Nri_Priest, others, what do we think?

By the way thank you all for the positive comments, and constructive criticisms. No one is perfect, and we cannot also please the whole world.

I have not read from Nri_Priest lately, so I suggest Okija_Juju should organize the coronation and hand over the ofor to our Eze elect. You have done your part and you did very well, so Okija_Juju should take over. I as a High Chief will be present to give my blessings to our new Eze and Eze nwanyi on that day. Ndewo Umu Igbo

Welcome back. And thank for withdrawing your comment about one of the contestant.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
My attention has been drawn to some calls for the disqualification of Ogugua on the same basis as Okija_juju's. Please note that the Nomination Rules were for Eze Ndi Igbo and was partly adopted for the test run of Eze Nwayi. Even at that, Ogugua comment did not denigrate 'other Igbo group/sub group, state, or institution' She hasn't be found going thread to thread slating Igbos from other states or making distasteful jests about them. And at the time of her nomination and up till now, her comments did not portray her as someone whose candidacy will cause general uproar, and disunity among us. In other words she met with the basic requirement. As earlier noted the Eze Nwayi position is been given a test run. More robust rules will be set next time.

I find no ground for her disqualification. Her candidacy stands!
