Bishop David Oyedepo Approves N650 Million For Road Repairs

The recent road repairs currently being undertaken will cost the Living Faith Church a whooping sum of N650 million naira (about $2 million).
The roads which cover the old toll gate bordering Lagos and Ogun States as well as stretches of the Idi-Iroko expressway from Oju Ore to Iyana Iyesi as well as Sango itself began to undergo repairs as executed by the Church recently. Traveling along the road to the border as well as Agbara and other towns had become a harrowing experience for both worshippers at the Church and non-worshippers alike every day of the week. Oyedepo had other ideas, in a church event he called all engineers and architect to his office. They were too much, the church had to let some people go. Oyedepo harnessed his church members as human resources and the Faith Tabernacle was built for 100 million naira.

Amongst board of directors of etranzact, mtn, adron, gtbank, amongst parastals like customs, firs, lirs. Amongst govt officials you would see members of the church willing to offer their services with Jesus joy. And that is the definition of wealth. If anything happens to Dangote industries he is on his own. If anything happens to Winners there are millions of people who would rise to aid.

The scripture never said that those who don't tithe wouldn't attain wealth. Even scripture reports how wealthy a paganic Egypt was, how an horrible roman empire held power and influence. So Dangote having money isn't any eye opener.

However the concept of tithing law as stated by Malachi stated that the benefit of tithing was a "rebuke of the devourer". The devourer in biblically context often refer to the devil and his host of fallen angels. 'Devouring' as expressed by Malachi meant that what legitimately belongs to God's people could be destroyed by the devil without a God intervention if they refused to tithe.

Therefore Oyedepo made an inference that is potentially correct within the context of old testament. Job didn't tithe and God did not rebuke the devourer for his sake.

Founder and Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church, an organization with one of the largest networks of about 11,000 branches in 65 countries has acquired a brand new helicopter. This is in continuation of his quest to ease movement while reaching large numbers of people in his evangelical work. This acquisition is especially unique as it is the first time he will buy an aircraft with his personal resources. Previous aircraft including the only one presently in the Church inventory, a Challenger 605 with registration N633WM (World Mission) which was acquired at a cost of $25 million were all acquired by the Church through Dominion Aviation Center.

Speaking at a gathering of pastors recently, Bishop Oyedepo announced that the aircraft which had arrived Nigeria could fly from Lagos to Maiduguri or from Lagos to Abuja and back to Lagos without a need to refuel . Church Gist investigation also reveal that the aircraft is still in a Lagos seaport undergoing clearance after which it will be brought to the Church’s hangar for assemblage. Church Gist also gathered that the helicopter could be of Italian origin and produced by the Leonardo Helicopters (formerly Agusta Westland). In particular it could be either the Trekker or GrandNew series as these have capacity for covering a long range before the need for refueling.

Dr David Oyedepo has spoken often about how he was inspired by the visit of white missionaries to his village of Omu-Aran in helicopters while he was a kid. He also mentioned as early as April 1982 that God had shown him wings in a vision and when he asked, it was revealed that his ministry was going to be flying around the world carrying the gospel of Jesus Christ. This led to the acquisition by the Church of the first aircraft in March 1996 and since then, the Church has been acquiring aircraft for missionary purposes. Also, as each aircraft gets old, it is quickly exchanged for a new one to ease cost, maintenance and servicing. A few years ago, precisely in 2011, the Bishop travelled to 6 African countries within 7 days and preached 11 different sermons. This is an example of his usual itinerary which could certainly not be achieved flying normal commercial flights.

During the recent meeting, the Bishop added that 80-90 per cent of his resources come from outside the Living Faith Church adding that recently, Covenant University (CU), an institution of the Church which is currently listed tops in Nigeria and one of the best in Africa received her largest endowment ever reported to be in the realm of hundreds of millions of dollars. While unconfirmed reports have it that the recent endowment is from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the IMF under its new Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva has chosen CU as the Nigerian venue for the celebration of IMF’s 75th Anniversary in July 2020. IMF, United Nations and the World bank have also made commitments to begin to employ staff fresh from CU annually. IMF was in CU recently on a visit. The Bishop had declared in one of his sermons recently that very soon and before Jesus comes, Living Faith Church will be richer than the IMF and the World Bank. IMF is currently worth about $850 billion.

On Tuesday 10 Feb 15, Webometrics rated CU as 15th in Africa and 1st in both Nigeria and West Africa. She was also rated 1401 globally. For the first time, she was ranked among the top 1,500 of over 19,000 higher institutions globally.

You simply don't price for the sole purpose of production but on market force which are base on many factors which is not excluded to competitive market, time cost , production capacity. this are what you factor in before pricing not simply the production cost.

Actually there is serious misconception on your view of buisness here. in business, there are lots that goes into it. you factor in cost of service which include stuff as labor, material, and shipping.. if this are included on a product. some product like indomie that is manufactured in ota and ship to sokoto will not be justify for 50 naira since the cap price will exceed such amount. so there is always a reason for a cut price. in capitalism, price are determined by market forces rather than fixed levelised costs and marginal pricing not based on actual amount of production.

Making money is what motivates man to exploration and innovation. Lol you think Berkshire Hathaway gave Apple investment for charity sake? Lol in manufacturing when private equity coys give you money it is because they know you can make 1000% profit. Look at banks, you give them your money to store, they use it to do business and give you next to nothing. If you know the margin to which companies profiteer you would understand that capitalism is the real extortion not religion.

Wrong again. Actually IBM invented touchscreen phone with the IBM Simon in 1993. You aren't talking to a novice sir. And even if it was invented under Apple, it's not necessarily creditable to Jobs but most likely the engineering department or R& department of Apple.

In the real sense Apple doesn't even produce her own technology. Until recently it uses many of Samsung's touchscreen components. It uses other components from Qualcomm and has a long list of 600 suppliers of different component.

Following that, Apple ships her component to Foxconn and Pergatron, two Taiwanese companies in China and produce her phones with cheap labor of $2/hour. Many foxconn laborers have committed suicide because of overwork.

Look, what Steve Jobs built was a name and a brand. Hence the comparison. The value of Apple isn't in invention. Apple hasn't benefited humanity either, beyond increasing profit for her shareholders and a living salary for her 44,000 staff. Don't make it seem like they found the cure for Aids or something.

People did not dash Steve jobs money to escape hell or poverty. That was not how he made his money.

Steve had to leave the company he created one time. Maa hia say oyedepo leave his church to go create another one.

Steve Job never left his company. He was fired by by the board of directors led by Sculley who he employed some time ago. And by the way, Steve jobs once defrauded his cofounder Steve Wozniack so don't even go there.

Actually, my school of thought is this. Everyone can be proven to be a thief. Capitalism in some ways can be said to be legal theft because what you pay is almost always exceeding what you bought in value. There's a reason you never see Indomie display "produced for N15 but sold at N50". If your cost of production is N15, is selling to me at 50 not wrong?
If the govt where to pass a law for companies to declare cost of production alongside selling price many people will never buy again because they would feel cheated.

Oyedepo's system is fairer, he preaches to you(which is a service) and he allows you to determine the value you want to pay for it. If his impact in your life equates N5 you give him N5 if it equates N1 million you give him. No cheating.
