If you believe GEJ is clueless then what would you say of president obasanjo and some northerners who failed to address poverty and lack of education in thier region? OBJ used EFCC effectively and brought GSM. Haha.
Let us not be clouded by sentiments. OBJ had the power, I mean the unquestionable power to have fixed our refineries and power sector but failed, it takes a man without a military uniform to unbundle the monopoly of PHCN thereby giving power to people like you to sue the Distribution companies for epileptic supplies, yet you are not using it. But complain everyday. I mean what stops Landlords in streets, companies, markets unions from forming a strong unions to kick against some of the activities of these companies? It takes GEJ to pass the FOI bill so you can ask questions, talk and criticize the way you want. But are you asking your counselors and LG chairman and even governors questions too? It takes GEJ to release the allocation owed to Lagos by OBJ and is still complimenting it by still constructing and repairing the oshodi-Apapa and Third mainland bridge respectively as well as other roads in the south west and the country at large. It takes GEJ to remodel the MMA which is in Lagos and other airports that are not in his state of origin to a better look except you never visited it before he came to power. It takes GEJ to reactivate the railway starting from an opposition states like Lagos and Port Harcourt while also doing for others. It takes him to appoint an intelligent south westerner to man the agricultural sector, which have really improved greatly from the past. Dams are built, our universities and other institutions have received more fund from GEJ than the previous administrations if you do not know go and find out. Sure-P, You-win and some graduates internship programs have been set up to help youths and never forget that it was GEJ that increased the salary of corp members from #5k or #9k to #19800k. On the economy, the minister of finance wanted them to save through the excess crude fund, but many rep members and governors kicked against it, and now blaming GEJ. Mind you the economic meltdown is not affecting Nigeria alone, the middle east, some European countries and African countries are also feeling the pain. Italy is implementing the austerity measures too. On corruption, yes, he is not doing well but what is the house of reps members who receives fat emoluments done to help us and the government fight corruption. Are APC members not there too? Finally in crisis, we southeast, south south and southwest people bash ourselves on this platform. The southeasterners gives useful information to security agents in thier regions to help reduce the menace of kidnapping, the south southerners speaks to thier children to lay down thier arms, the southwesters kick against injustice but the northerners, who are been affected directly by terrorism have not told us how they want to quell the situation or how they want to help the government to solve the insurgency in thier region. Yet they believe power is thier exclusive right and until they come on board the problem should continue. Only immediately ihejirka left office, they wanted to crucify him in ICC and we all know what damage the sect did to lives and properties in that region after then. Even extending the emergency rule was a problem and it was during the period that the kano mosque and other places was bombed. GEJ is not perfect. But I believe, laying a new foundation for a new building is the most difficult part of any building. We are watching. He that doesn't know where the rain starts, will not know where it stops. I hope GEJ victory at the poll come next year will not cause many to commit suicide?

Why do your type like been insulting unnecessarily? In the book, OBJ lambasted so many people ppl including Tinubu, yet u singled GEJ out and believe he is just responsible for the action of the judiciary who is now independent of the executive. Na WA oh. Hope the hatred some people have for Mr. President will not swallow them up?
For me, OBJ ought to know that the tension in the polity is high and ought to have tried to calm it down rather than heating more. But then I wonder who will go out to arrest him.

why did u think he is a fraud? Was he the one that casted the over 54 votes? What about if it was Obanikoro's supporters that casted the extra votes which still did not make up for his success? Ok apart from that, minus 54 from Agbaje's 484 or so(can't remember), Jimi still wins. The fact remains that, Obanikoro is not a saleable candidate, and if PDP should take the risk of fielding him, they will loose miserably. Jimi Agbaje is a calm, patient, understanding gentleman. I bet you most non-Lagosians as well as some Lagosians are looking forward to casting thier votes for this gentleman. Its not a party business as usual, its all about the person. Jimi will give them a run for their human and material resources. So Obanikoro should calm down, he has enjoyed so many government appointments.

But how come the lawyers are just quick to make this decision, why were they not quick to interpret the constitution so that the situation won't degenerate to what it is today. my brother, I am a proud Ibo son, I have read the history of the Nigeria-biafra war several times by Chukwuemeka Ike, Chinua Achebe. I know so much about the pain and the trauma my people passed through then. I advocate that African, Nigeria history be taught in schools right from the primary level to the tertiary level. But the 2 pounds given to Igbo after the civil war is not a justification to engaging in illegal deals ok. Meanwhile when the southeasterners where classified as igbos non outside the territory of the then Biafra was exempted. The same injustice was meted out to them too. But the truth be told, we are money driven. Don't get me wrong, its not bad, but when you attempt at getting it in the illegal way and thereby getting yourself in trouble, that is were you have yourself to blame.

Nigerians are in prions in every country on earth. We have been holding that record for one decade.
I am Igbo and I can tell you that most of them prisoners are Igbo. Thats a situation we found ourselves after post civil war policies that was specifically designed to keep us on the ground forever.

I read kids here pointing fingers at other tribes for being this or that. Nobody ever wanted to be a terrorist when he was born, the system made him to adopt that philosophy. Don't blame them, think of a way to convince them with your own ideologies. That's what is called wisdom. Not calling people names on the Internet as if your own life is perfect.

I was a drug Lord as well. But fortunately I skipped prison and knew when to run and start a legitimate business with the little I raised.

I advice everybody who intends to do drug business to have a plan from day one.
Set a goal of a capital required to do some legal business. Run away as so as you get it. You won't blame yourself much if you are captured before you make the capital. But you will blame yourself if you get that capital and remain in the business. Drug business is not a career business. Get that.

I know it's difficult to start a life especially if you don't have support..

Sometimes I am not surprise that our country have degenerated to what it is today- Killing and bombing of our own flesh and blood!!! In the name of religion? Wow!! So so bad. But how long are we going to continue bombing and killing ourselves. History taught me that our past leaders condoned it, using ethnic and religious sentiments as part of its fuel while depriving thier people of basic, moral education. What is going on in the north and even in all spheres of the country today was what led to the civil war. In short, all is repeating itself again. The western world don't give a hoot as usual, even when the babies were been killed in Nigeria-Biafra war, they were busy scrambling for our resources, so we can keep calling on them till eternity, they don't care.
Also I use to wonder what the African Union, Ecowas are meant for. I Guess the disintegration of Nigeria will give them great joy so South Africa would emerge the power house of Africa? But come to think of it, we Nigerians -leaders and subjects aren't doing ourselves any good in all the mess, accusation and counter accusations, unnecessary hatred etc been exhibited in this present day Nigeria. We went ahead to exchange our gold and resources for bombs and tanks to destroy ourselves. How long are we going to keep sleeping and living in this manner- Since independence we are still struggling to be united and to understand ourselves. This boko guys should sheath thier swords and embrace peaceful coexistence. Are they making us believe that Allah they are fighting for is no longer the most powerful? We shouldn't allow certain teachings to cloud our mindset. Since independence, we haven't known peace, joy and enjoyment. Just fear, tears and death. Though I don't love the disintegration of this country, but if that would bring peaceful coexistence then let it be rather we forcing ourselves together. But then who am I to stop God or talk more, its just the end time things.

Govt work eh! Is this not the same INEC job that I heard some people have collected names of thier persons for long? The ministry of labour, the ministry of youth development etc should really look into the employment of youths because I rarely hear nor see ministries like finance, petroleum, power, aviation etc calling qualified people to apply. Is it that vacancies do not occur in such ministries? How do people esp graduates get to apply to work in such ministries? Is it only thier workers that smuggle thier people or persons in them? But when it comes to military, police, that would confront the boko haram, it would be made open. Its so unfortunate, and so so bad

an even with the oil boom years ago what have we benefited? Nigerians been complaining since 1960. Hope u are aware that some ppl are living fat on this subsidy payments yet the prices are not the same every where in the country and the ppl aren't benefitting from, even on the kerosene subsidy payments. Who are those gulping the payment? On issue of extending the emergency rule, some northerners are kicking against it and demanding for a change of tactics, why not the same been applied in the petroleum sector? Since the subsidy hasn't trickled down to the average man, then there should be a change pattern and remove it completely, let us face it once and for all.

Well the fact is that those from that part of the country have spoken, its left for the house to consider thier views.
Who in his or her right senses would love to move around in such a restive environment? Who would want to transact any form of business or move his or her goods in or out of such environment? I don't think any sensible and life loving person would love to take such a deadly risk. I guess another option is for president GEJ to remove the democratic structures and appoint military administrators in those areas to allow for a full scale military onslaught against the sect without extending the emergency rule. Anyway, I could remember before the emergency rule, that the bombing was virtually everywhere in the north until the military was able to contain that in those three states. So if the some people believes that the emergency rule has not worked, its thier own view, they should suggest the best way of solving the problem rather than kicking against it out rightly.

Oh!!! Its not good at all. I have my own sister been posted to yobe. After thier camp at Kogi state, its either she is redeployed or she quit. "she can't risk it abeg".

My questions to Mr. Tambourine or tanbuwal is that:
1. The country is in a mess for over 100 yrs, pls tell us how many times did people from other regions have ruled this country and who are those that have plunged us into this mess if not some of the northerners that have ruled in the past

2. You scream corruption, why haven't you disclosed your salary and emoluments and in a bid to show you seriousness in tackling it demand that your salaries (as well as other members) be reduced

3. We know that the petroleum industry bill has been in the house for long, why haven't you pushed for its passage since it will address the problem and corruption in the oil sector if they aren't benefiting from it.

4. Must you run from ANPP, PDP and now to APC for a bring meaningful development to the country, why didn't you remain in the party and contribute to bring about development

5. Tambuwal, now bitting the hands that pulled him in; why disclosing how bad the ruling party now is, why didn't you do that for long rather at this last hours?

u see the reason why ppl say that the north can be a solution to thier problem. He dolled out millions to local vigilante, what has he been waiting for? Because he has an investment in the state that would be affected when the sect gets closer? Or because he is abt to contest for an election? they should keep deceiving themselves and wait to rule over trees and cattles after they might closed thier eyes while lives are been destroyed over there. Just like the government of Anambra state is doing by destroying houses and businesses of kidnappers when they are caught to deter them from continuing, the north can join hands and fight those monsters destroying those economy. I understand u, yes those in authority(Goodluck in particular) should take responsibility. but what I am saying is that duties have been delegated to them and the constitution backing them up. Two wrongs don't make a right. Dora Akunyili, Nuhu Ribadu etc performed thier duty very well and u don't need to call the president. Today these individuals are been mentioned before the one who appointed them. When the former Army Chief pushed the insurgents back some ppl were commending the army and not the President. When the former power minister worked hard to improve the power situation, it was Prof bath or NEPA of every ones lips and not the one who appointed him. So what I am saying is that some ppl shud take responsibility when it is bad and not only take commendation when things are well else they should leave thier positions. The president knows he can't do the work alone, that is why he appointed them else they there may be no need to waste millions in paying them. That is my view. But nice one to you anyway. Two years ago when Abubakar Shekau, the self-proclaimed leader of Boko Haram appeared in his first Youtube video, he said that the mission of Boko Haram was to take over Nigeria and establish an Islamic Caliphate that would be governed by the tenets of Sharia law. A lot of people laughed, including myself. Why won't we? How can an ill-trained army threaten one of the most powerful black nations on earth? Little did we know that Boko Haram rightly perceived incompetence of the president and the rot in the Nigerian military, and used its perception as a yardstick to predict an eventual success. Today Boko Haram has succeeded in controlling 26 local governments out of the 724 local governments in Nigeria. This is a staggaring 3.5% of Nigerian ruling units! Boko Haram now controls a region that contains a population of about 1.5million people. Out of the 174 countries in the United Nations, at least 24 of them have populations 1.5million and less. What is even striking is that Boko Haram has not only captured territories but, renamed cities!

Just yesterday, Mubi the second largest city in Adamawa state with a population of about 350,000 people was captured by the Haramites and renamed Madinatul Islam. The world have failed to admit that the Haramites have made Nigeria nonexistent, because essentially they have created another country. Nigeria cannot exist as Nigeria if part of its territory have been taken, it cannot exist, if the government no longer has control of 1.5 million of its population. It does not exist if the laws being enforced in territories are dictated by people unknown to either the government of Nigeria or the populace in which they effect those laws. It does not exist when we have a foreign army that have driven the Nigerian army and effectively occupies soverifgn territory. It does not exist when there is no Nigerian flag flying in those territories, rather a foreign flag flies there. It does not exist when the Nigerian police, the local government chairman, emirs, and village chiefs are no where to be found. What has essentially happened is that Boko Haram has carved out a country from Nigeria, and the original Nigeria no longer exists as we know it. Even the chief of Defence staff will need permission from Boko Haram to go to his village, which is now under the control of Boko Haram.

Will it remain like this? Certainly not! If we have a president keeps acting a fool to the reality that Nigeria is being taken, then we will certainly have a larger Boko Haram Caliphate in a matter of months. I recall that when the Igbos where persecuted, they attempted to have their own country - Biafra, righfully so after being battared in the country the called their own. The Igbos built tanks, had a large army, were supported by both the United States and Israel, yet the Nigerian Army headed by Yakubu Gowon crushed the rebellion. How Boko Haram has succeeded in making our Army look like frail men is what many do not still understand.

Irrespective of who wins the elections in 2015, Nigeria will be screwed (I will write on why later). However, suffice it to say, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan would not have a Nigeria to rule beyond 2015 if things continue at this rate. PDP and APC should keep playing politics while we loose our country to the Haramites. It is the turn of Mubi, Vintim, Uba and Ashaka today, but tomorrow it may just be you!

My problem with some Nairalanders as well as some Nigerians as a whole is that they do fail to castigate those that commits a crime but are always quick to condemn someone who may not be have been involved or in a scene of a crime. Was Goodluck the one who placed the economy to what it is today? No! But for the fact thay he has been in power for just 4 years or a little more, he has be classified to be the destroyer of the country been majorly ruled by some northerners since after independence. Now on ur comment, the army did something wrong, rather than condemn the army or their top hierarchy who failed to call thier boys to other(since duties have been delegated to them) Goodluck is now been condemned. It's so unfortunate. Freedom of Information doesn't mean speak without been constructive and unbiase. Are the military fools not to know that those social amenities been provided by the government is from our resources and are meant for all? Are they not wise enough to understand that thier actions may slow down the process of development as what they destroy may take long to be put in place? Africans should learn how to channel thier grievances to the right people not to those who may not have been involved in a crime. We should learn how to preserve our properties rather than destroy them and yet cry of underdevelopment. Now, rather than u condemning those military first, you were just quick to attack mr president who was not in the scene of the events; just like the military failing to solely punish who ever is responsible, they were busy bestowing thier anger on innocent citizens and buses that never knocked their colleague down. Its bad. Africans and Nigerians should rise above any type of sentiments. I wonder why some people hates the President so much. Hmmm.

I read ur post most times and I find out that most of ur response are left handed.- bad, not good enough etc. Lady, the girl have done her part based on what she feels or what her parents who I believe is well to do requested of her. It is left for those in charge to take the money to those boko haram victims in d north, or have u now forgotten u normally criticize d govt for not doing enough to ease thier plight or maybe to some orphanages away from Lagos, Abuja or PH. What she did is a simple test to our mindset. We can now read ppls comments and even watch those in authority.

Funny story!!! Why now? Should we believe that no fishermen have been plying that area since then? If the NAF, could not find their jet in thier own land, is it when it disappears in another country just like the Malaysian aircraft that they would be able to find it? Govts comes and go, but the military remains. The military should sit up, they are destroying thier image if they keep sabotaging thier own effort. If they don't do the needful, in the future, they would be overlooked in international missions just as Nigeria referees are been overlooked during international sports.

Greater percentage of millennium youths have huge character and integrity deficit. They pride themselves in yahooyahoo, 419, drug trafficking, armed rubbery, exam malpractices , cheating of all sorts. So, when you talk about productivity, don't talk age, former American president Ronald Regan was 71yrs old when he came to power, and he spent 2terms. If Nigerian youths are handed over the management of this country in their present state of mind, this country would be sold for peanuts to foreigners. You youths are only interested in quick money making, and not ready to earn money. We presrntly need the old ones with experience, the young can support and learn because the old would not be there forever.

oga, if I may ask, who made these youth to be yahooyahoo, prostitute drug peddlers etc. Was it not the so called old leaders? They failed in thier responsibilities and the youth were compelled to make thier life worthwhile. Mind me, I don't support such. If the old will not remain forever, then they should retire back home and prepare for their exit rather than further destroying for the youths who haven't tasted any sweet side of life. Its not a crime if the elders becomes good advisers rather administrators. Most political parties who field old men for governorship will certainly loose. We are tired of seeing old but well fed men still struggling to contest with young, determined and modern men. No na, its unfair. And who say that the youths would sell the country for a peanut, if I may ask, even if you may not be close to the government, would you allow your age mate to sell your country for a peanut with raising your voice and stand for a fight? Do you remember, that it was an act of two youths who one among them believe he cannot be sidelined among other things gave rise to the civil war? Today that we are crying of Boko haram, do you know thier are some youths in that troubled zone fighting against those senseless boko haram youths because they believe they can't watch thier mate intimidate them and kill thier kinsmen, therefore subscribing to defending thier hometown and the vulnerable with their last blood?
