Politics › Re: OPERATION STING: Governor Nyesom Wike Beefs Up Security In Rivers State by highness25(m): 9:57pm On Jul 26, 2019
autotrader014:
PROMOTION OF SECURITY: GOVERNOR WIKE LAUNCHES OPERATION STING.

In a major move to improve the security of lives and property across Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Friday launched a new Rivers State Security outfit codenamed "Operation Sting".

He said Operation Sting will be fully funded by the Rivers State Government with the aim of tackling criminal elements and reducing crime and criminality in all parts of the state.

He said: "OPERATION STING” is therefore, our own specialized and dedicated security initiative anchored on an integrated and complementary approach, fully funded by the Rivers State Government to effectively tackle both the sources and drivers of insecurity in their diverse criminal manifestations and operations and nib them in their buds or rout and root them out of existence.

"Under Operation Sting we have taking concrete steps to strengthen the logistics and operational capability of the civil and armed security forces".

Governor Wike said to ensure that the new security outfit responds effectively across the state, his administration provided the right logistics and equipment.

He said: "76patrol/operational vehicles fitted with communication gadgets;

· 8 armoured fitted gunboats, to tighten coastal security and protect our waterways from the activities of criminals;

· 2 Armoured Personnel Carriers for Police swift responses actions;

· 450 handheld mobile radios to enhance communication among the security operatives and overcome the current wide gaps in intelligence gathering".

The Governor said that the State Government has established operational bases in all the 23 Local Government Areas to strengthen the command and control structures of the initiative and ensure effective coordination and synergy between the State headquarters, the Local Government Areas and the communities to achieve the common objectives of providing comprehensive security cover for the our State.

He said "To achieve quick, timely and effective response we have established 30 toll free emergency call centres with capacity to support and transmit 30 concurrent calls from the public during distress situations and or during ongoing criminal activities in or around our neighbourhoods".

Governor Wike said the operationalization of Operation Sting across the State is also expected to increase citizens’ awareness and make the public to be more alive to the dangers of insecurity and their responsibility to be part of the present crusade to stamp this menace from the State .

While appreciating the officers and men who will participate in the new security architecture, the governor said that the State Government has set up a fund to cater for their families, should they suffer any mishap in the course of service.

He acknowledged that the state has faced major security challenges in the area of kidnapping, cultism, armed robbery and community conflicts. He said that the state is not yet as peaceful as the administration desires, hence the renewed effort to stamp criminality.

He said: "It is this spirit that has led us to come to terms with the fact that insecurity, irrespective of the level of manifestation, whether big or small, violent or otherwise, is an insidious threat to our individual and collective development and prosperity.

" This being so, it is has become rather compelling for us to bring all elements of State power, Federal, State and Local, to bear against every security threat to our State, our persons and our property, including those posed by pastoral conflicts and kidnappers, in order to create and sustain the right social environment to drive our development."

Governor Wike specifically assured riverine communities that his administration will ensure their safety. He said that Operation Sting has been mandated to work on security in the waterways.

In his remarks, Garrison Commander of 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Adeola Kalejaiye said that the armed forces will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the security of lives and property in Rivers State.

He said that Operation Sting will act on all credible information from members of the public to ensure that the any form of insecurity is handled.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura said that the objective of Operation Sting is to get rid of criminals and reduce crime to the barest minimum.

The Commissioner of Police assured Rivers people that the logistics provided by Governor Wike would be used to fight insecurity in the state. He said in the next one month, the improvement of security will be noticed.

NYSC Registration Procedures 2019 – Frequently Asked Questions by PCMs (NYSC batch b registration 2019)

NYSC Registration Procedures – Frequently Asked Questions by PCMs (NYSC batch b registration 2019): Hello guys in this I will be sharing with most of the frequently asked questions by prospective corp members.

I have been getting a lot of calls from PCMs this registration period , most of them have encountered one issue or the other during the ongoing NYSC batch b 2019 registration process.

Some of have had issues with their Remobilization and revalidation process, others have had issues of not been able to proceed with the registration process and so on and so forth.

Meanwhile some other persons have been successful with their registration process and have had peace of mind, and in this post I will give you the little solutions that can give you the same peace of mind.

https://guardian.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/NYSC-27-11-16.jpg

Most of the issues faces by NYSC batch b 2019 prospective corp members are mostly arising from thumb printing, remobilization and revalidations while little come from anonymous sources. Some other issues are extraordinary (sometimes caused by your village people!). But don’t worry because I have the solution to even the problem you face in your registration caused by your village people.

Ayodele70:
Singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, says he has two wives and four children, who are all British citizens.

He also said he is not a criminal and has no idea what the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission found on his laptop.

Naira Marley, who claimed to be 28-years old, said apart from storing his songs and music videos, he had never done anything illegal with his laptop.

The artiste said this in his statement on oath which he made while in EFCC custody, which was obtained by The Punch.

The artiste, who identified himself as a Swedish Yoruba man, wrote,

“My name is Azeez Fashola.

“I am married to two wives and I have four kids. They are all British citizens staying in the United Kingdom.

“I studied in the United Kingdom, started studying at Porlock Hall, then I moved to Walworth School where I received my GCSE.

“My results for my GCSE are English (C), Maths (B) and Science (C).

“I left Walworth School with my qualification and went further to study at Peckham Academy, where I got distinction in Business.

“Then, I went further to study at Crossways College where I finished my Business Law; but I had kids at that time, so I took a break and started making music till date.”

According to Naira Marley, he did not own a laptop but was given one to use temporarily to upload videos on YouTube.

He said,

“I started making music in 2014 individually (sic), but now I’m signed to Marathon, a United Kingdom-based record label.

“I had a deal with Coca-Cola for my song, Issa Goal, in which I featured Olamide and Lil Kesh.

“I also had deals with Nike to participate in the Nigerian sportswear (sic).

“I’m in possession of a MacBook laptop, which I borrowed from a friend named Yad Isril in England, because while returning to Nigeria, I knew I was going to need a laptop to upload my music videos on YouTube and also to keep my exclusive songs.”

Naira Marley added,

“I’m in possession of the laptop but I have no idea what is on it apart from my music videos.
”

According to the artiste, the said laptop had no password and could be accessed by anyone.

He claimed to have met Isril in a secondary school in England.

“He owns the butcher’s and an electronics shop in England. He is a British citizen, though his family is from Iraq.

“I don’t have a personal laptop at the moment because I don’t need it.

“My management team handles everything I need to do on the laptop. I only use my iPhone X for everything I do
,” he said.

The EFCC had arrested the artiste on May 10, 2019 together with Omoniyi Temidayo (aka Zlatan Ibile) and three others for alleged advance fee fraud.

Following his arrest, the anti-graft agency filed 11 charges against him.

The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court.

The artiste was later arraigned before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 20, 2019.

Following his arraignment, Justice Oweibo ordered that Naira Marley be remanded in prison custody until May 30 to take the bail application filed by the defence counsel, Taiwo Oreagba, on behalf of his client.

I love Dogara's response..Our President has a PHD in doing nothing except to blame..I dont even blame him,I blame his Blockhead supporters with leaking brains...

Nonesene and Iberism
Buahri blames, you also blame. In fact the both of you have PHD in doing nothing except to blame. Your words "I blame his blockhead supporters with leaking brains". No difference between Buhari and you. Mind you I'm neutral here

oluchisimfred:
Peter Obi, the PDP Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 election, has slammed Rotimi Amaechi over his Igbos can’t succeed Buhari claim.

Recall that the former Governor of Rivers State said he would have helped the South East bargain for Igbo presidency, if they had supported Buhari 2019 general election. However Peter Obi who slammed Rotimi Amaechi over his Igbos can’t succeed Buhari claim, recounted how the Minister of Transportation could not deliver his home state to the APC in the Presidential election.

Obi who spoke with newsmen at the Rivers Government House in Port Harcourt, mocked Amaechi over the outcome of the general election in Rivers.

He said: “He’s is not from South East so he cannot speak for us. He’s not in a position to make such statements. Even he that’s in the APC didn’t contribute anything to that the success of that election. He didn’t not achieve anything to in his own state.

“Those of us from the South East in the PDP contributed to the the success of our party. For example, PDP in my state got 95 percent and they (APC) didn’t even get 25 percent in Rivers. So, he isn’t competent to speak on that”.

Yes Amaechi is not from South East and you're a Chinese man. Both of you are not Nigerians so you cannot tell us about who gets a presidential ticket in our country

A Nigerian Lady has taken to social media to explain how she employs First Class graduates to work for her while she pays them handsomely, stating clearly that she is a Third Class graduate and how her certificate is useless and she doesn't need it and had never used it.
She said, “I graduated with 3rd class. I employ people with 1st class and pay salaries. I earn what people with 1st class can't even imagine earning. I have influence that 1st class people leverage on to help facilitate their wants. I've never used the 3rd class cert for anything above”.
She advices students; “Apparently some people are triggered by this tweet bcs they couldn't comprehend the English. To break it down, your class of degree or certificate doesn't determine your success in life. You can graduate with 1st class and be the most successful person on earth or vice versa.
I used to think 3rd class was the end of the world but look where I'm at in life. My class of degree motivated me to be better. I graduated top of my class in software development and again, the certificate didn't do anything with respect to getting a job”.

But madam, it's also good you employ 3rd class graduates to encourage them. You graduated with 3rd class and keep employing 1st class products leaving your mates unemployed. E no good oh

Big Brother Naija 2019:- What To Expect From Contestants At This Year’s Show

https://9jaflaver.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/BBNaija-2019-Forget-Wahala.png

The 2019 Big Brother Naija Show is just a few weeks away and we are excited! Although, the exact date has not yet been confirmed, however organizers of the show stated that it will air this June.

For those of you new to big brother, here’s a rundown.

A group of people all live under the same roof for 3 months in a house with multiple HD cameras and microphones recording their every move all day. Each week, the housemates compete to vote out one of their own, until the last remaining player claims a whopping prize.

Last year, the show tagged ‘Double Wahala’ had housemates with different abilities who proved that there is more to them than just their pretty faces.

Well this year, the bar has been raised and our expectations are at its peak. Here’s a list of what we expect from the contestants.

1 - Realness: This should be a given quality. I mean you will be spending 90 days in the house, how long can you hide who you really are? Best be real and rip out the band aid sooner than later and let people accept you for who you are.

2 - Fun: As you all know, Saturday night parties are usually lit and we expect some fun housemates this year. Last year, the show had Alex and Tobi who people referred to as the lives of the party as they were the most talked about dancers in the house. So please get your party shoes on!

3 - Fashion Sense: At the end of the day, wouldn’t you like to be remembered in a certain way during and after the show? I mean we are not saying that you should be a style icon but please, come with a sense of style and originality. Be yourself!

4 - Diction: Need we say this? contestants should please speak proper English or better yet Pidgin English. Let’s not get the two twisted.

5 - Talent: Past BBNaija housemates were recognized for their individuality and talent. Housemates like Bisola Aiyeola was known for her music and acting talent, Miyonse who is now a known Chef are the best examples of how far talent can take you in the house. So, yes, talent does count.

6 - Be Smart: The most important quality of a BBNaija contestant is being smart – the capacity for logic, understanding, self-awareness and learning is extremely important especially during the various BBNaija tasks. Also, it comes to play when differentiating between friend, foe and lover in the house. In fact, being smart may be the most important point on our list.

I don't know what others are expecting. As for me I'm expecting enough banging. You cannot keep goat and yam in the same room and expect the the goat to be looking at the yam and perfect the act of doing nothing
