How in God's green earth does this Dinosaur expect he will beat the "evil geniuses" who call themselves custom officers at their own game. They are up to date with all the tricks of the trade, while he is still stuck in 1996. The GOOD MEN of the customs service will play him like a football, to the point that when he thinks they are heading to Lafia, they will actually be taking a detour to Mecca. |
I see this snowballing into a cold war between our government and the North Korean supremacist government, due to the callous and lacklustre approach by our government to real foreign relations. |
omenka:Whoever refers to you as their employee needs to find a new brain |
Olisa Metuh should reserve his comments. They are wasted on the OLODO APC. This is a party whose best strategy for combating the free fall of the naira, came from the father of all fools, TINUBU, who proposed slowing down the fall by PRINTING MORE NAIRA NOTES. What a joke. A policy tried by two of Africa's most worthless leaders: IDI AMIN and MUGABE. This people can only fail the country, it's inevitable. You can't teach a fish new tricks. They know they have no strategy to resolve the recent economic issues. They are simply playing the same card as the Romans, who shunned reforms for distraction theatrics like the Gladiator bouts. Earlier on I was involved in a debate with one of their supporters who was ignorantly claiming that our inflation will not rise due to our depleted foreign reserves. The aloof debater did not know that he was referring to Keynes demand -pull inflation theory, which would require excess government expenditure to balance excess demand and low supply. As I always say you can't trust a SW with your money. For they would squander it and borrow more, just to throw one more OWAMBE party. You can't find a NOI in SW land. That's the undeniable fact. |
sarris:The same dailies which claimed without a doubt that Amaechi was been screened by the DSS, before confirmation as the SGF. But when it came down to the wire, did not have a scoop on the Northeocracy that was about to plague the President's cabinet. Thanks, I don't think I need their help. But since you don't have the mental capacity to think for yourself, keep on gulping their every word. |
baralatie: baralatie:After all the media appointments and public screening of Amaechi and Fashola as SGF and COS, the President, in the heat of the night, announced his own choice of SGF and COS. The President, later made it unequivocally clear that only those who have wasted their youth with him, will be rewarded with plum appointments. Now, how does Utomi fit into this equation. Don't forget that the SEC chairman is Igbo, likewise the CBN govenor, and the NNPC GMD are both of Igbo extraction, though not from the core states. UTOMI WILL NOT SEE EVEN A PIN IN THIS ADMINISTRATION. Don't be surprised when you see 30 out of the 36ministers coming from the new Einstein/ Tesla/ ford North hegemony. |

TonyeBarcanista:Welcome back Mr Barcanista, the forum wasn't the same with your absence. |
TYPICAL OF A CONFUSED, ZOMBIE, DISCIPLE OF THE SANITARY PAD CONFEDERATION OF THE APCheats |
Another rouse, by the APC and DSS to assassinate a PDP govenor. |
MichaelSokoto:APC SANITARY PAD, that's what you are |
PDPwayoo:Ask Okorocha and Ngige |
How will a Northern President have a CBN govenor(not his appointment) SEC chairman(not his appointment) NNPCgmd( appointment for US arms) and then still go ahead to appoint a Deltan ika(Igbo) as his finance minister. What a supposedly open minded Yaradua didn't attempt. Also what party does Donald duke belong to. This thread is completely rubbish. |
I feel no sorrow or pitance for whoever concocted this delirious lie. When the President will shock you, your eyes will become as dry as the desert. You are speculating about the names you would like to see on the list, instead of the names PMB will want to see on the list. Only a fool, will look at the recent events that happened, in terms of appointments, and still bring forth this trash as fact. Whoever thought up this fictitious and highly unrealistic list must be a very bad gambler. None, of this names will find their way on the real list. I repeat, not one name will be on the official list. Bunch of nincompoops. |
The CAC priest is right. PMB needs all the help he can get from "intelligent" SW's, religious "secular" Northerners and "intricate" APC supporters to DESTROY,sorry, build Nigeria. |
JUST reward for all those who participated in the DESTRUCTION of Nigeria |
The good for nothing APC's spin doctors propaganda attempts are at best a cacophonous volatile project. This is their MO * At first they use lies and sweet incredulous promises of prosperity * If that doesn't work, they move to bribery and promises of personal gain * If that fails, they use their preferred instrument, threats and violence This is how the APC intends to inform and orientate we, the citizens. |
*At first, they claimed the action by JP Morgan was solely the fault of GEJ * Later they claimed it was due to the attempts of aggrieved western colonial investors to control our economy * When that was squashed, they moved to, it was a brave attempt by our apex bank and the FG to stand up toJP Morgan * Now, they are claiming it was even wrong to have gotten enlisted in the index in the first place Look at how economics is being murdered in this administration. what will they come up with tomorrow. |
ooshinibos:You are either blind or schizophrenic, if you haven't noticed a change in our environment in the last 5 years. The lagos-ibadan expressway is still in the same state it was in during the Northeocratic military regime? keep on deceiving yourself. Its common knowledge that gluttons only complain when there is food, but during scarcity, all of a sudden will become numb, not because of the shock, but because of a lack of energy, resulting from malnutrition and dissipation |
Sultannayef:* Aggregate demand is rising while the available supply of goods is becoming less * Local production cannot match increasing demand, in the absence of adequate importable substitutes * I made special reference to conjectures, proposed by the APC or its supporters, that may bring about cost-push inflation * According to Keynes theory of demand pull inflation, the excess demand caused by the rise in government expenditure eliminates itself by changes in the real value of money( govt expenditure has reduced) The CBN's attempt at saving the Naira's crash against the dollar has led to an increase in the quantity of money. which would lead to interest rates falling. A fall in the interest rate, would in turn increase investment which would raise aggregate demand. |
High inflation is a characteristic of dispensations such as the one in power. What did they expect when they reduced the amount of imported goods which covers about 50-60% of consumer expenditure. The CBN, in attempting to deal with the falling power of the naira by reducing the level of imported goods into the country, only ended up feeding the monster of demand-pull inflation. The policy was implemented, without due recourse to adequate local substitution of the marked goods. This is just the beginning, by the time the government, in trying to appease the public, or curry favour from the public, attempt to either implement an obscure version of the welfarist policy promised by the APC during the elections. Or attempt to raise salaries, we will see an increase in cost-push inflation, which will cause the inflationary gap to widen beyond expectations. We are in for it, under this OLODO government. |
yanabasee:Buhari has been around the world ayaya, why is he going away, we don't know where, we don't know why, why is he going away, we don't know where he can be, but is our DD. (Music tune) Guess what song I covered. |
dustmalik:Another disciple without a direction. Do you know what it means for a CREATIONIST who is always engaged in debates, to be unable to quote the bible. Keep on following, like a fly into the GRAVE. |
PassingShot:Keynes, state three theories of economics, what is the Edgeworth boxley diagram, give me a macroeconomic model, tell me three functions of money, who is ML Jinghan, name 3 members of the Classical school of economics, define crowding effect. If you can't answer just 3 of this questions, without the assistance of google, then I suggest you move to the PHONE section, and leave this to those with a degree of knowledge of ECONOMICS. |
Last week the OP, told us that the delisting was GEJ's fault and would not affect our economy. Now he has done a 180 to tell us that the CBN intentionally got itself kicked out of the JP Morgan index. This further buttresses my point that PASSINGSHOT IS A CERTIFIED ILLITERATE AND A SECONDARY SCHOOL DROPOUT. How did the CBN take a stand in a case they were not represented. We had 4 months to argue our case or comply with the regulations given by the bank. But due to the APC government's lethargic, unserious and ridiculous, sorry excuse for an EXECUTIVE, this matter was ignored till, JP Morgan used the rod on us. And for all those who believe that this will not affect us, let me skip the economics, which the OP has no way of comprehending,(OLODO), and use a simple analogy. Let's use the English premiership: Is QUEENSPARK RANGERS economically better off, in the Nationwide division, now it no longer plays in the PREMIERSHIP, due to it being relegated. Without the TV rights, and Premiership bonus money, and the huge ticket sales, that are commanded by a premiership top division club. The players it can attract because of the prestige of playing top flight football. And also the prospect of qualifying for the Europa league. THIS IN ECONOMICS IS CHARACTERISED UNDER THE THEORY OF CONSUMPTION: Your level of income, may drop, but the level at which you consume is not relative to your income, for you would then have to fund an alternative source of income to sustain the consumption rate you are already accustomed to. That is ECONOMICS. |
China devalued their currency and reduced their interest rates so as to be able to flood the export market with their goods which became cheaper due to the exercise. This is another phase of China's plan to move from a state controlled economy to a market oriented economy. Devaluation works best with a side by side arrangement with a high productive market. The plan by NOI, was to devalue the currency in the short term, to allow for our exports to be marketable to the global markets, which no longer favoured oil exports. Unfortunately, we now have a government, which is so selfish as to believe the only way for them to survive is without competition. Hence the step by step plan to return the economy to a state controlled mishmash economy. The only hiccup, in their plan which they haven't considered is the fact that Nigerians have become so accustomed to a market oriented economy and competition. Nigerians no longer believe in waiting for the government to run their businesses. So that, which they trumpeted in their adverts about Nigerians not reaching their full potential because of the inactivity of the then ruling party to support them, will now turn around to bite them, when they try to destroy the market system which Nigerians, are not ready to let go of. Mark my words, this government, will end the same way as the Egyptian Brotherhood Government. While our dear President, might end up the same way as Morsi. |
#BALDERDASH This Govenors were never going to get squat in this Northeocratic government. "According to a source" is the beginning and end of the story |
#INTELLIGENTSIA Unlike the piece of crap put out yesterday by the unintelligent PASSING whatchamacallit, this is a cleverly put together article. To know where this economy is heading, all you need to do is research on the Abacha opaque government. The President, was an important member of that government, and so believes in the practices that were prevalent in that regime. In such an administration, practices such as Monopoly, scarcity, closed economy, non conformity to global economic practices, Agricultural illiteracy, nepotism, regionalism, bigotry, high mortality rate, moribund infrastructure and institutions, abuse of protocol and the law, economic madness, lack of fiscal policies E.T.C. This practices will become the order of the day, in a year from now. That is the only way PMB knows how to run a government. Youths on this platform who are in support of the President, are the next thing to a home for retards. They will be the worst hit in this government, while this practices, will surprisingly improve the businesses of the eastern elephants, who thrive better in such an environment. When the dust settles, the eyes of the blind SW's will bring out more water than the Kainji dam. |
Smuggling will hit an all time high under this dinosaur. But the surprising thing is that it won't correspond to supply and prices of goods. Because of the fact that we have chosen to mistake discipline for competence. By the time that most Nigerians are eating breakfast of 29th August on 3rd September, their eyes will receive sight |
Rawani:I'd rather play golf than write a 3 page essay to someone who never attended a class of Eco 312. That would be equivalent to a physicist explaining the nature of quantum physics to a kindergarten student. You have to crawl before you leap. If you couldn't understand or see the relationship between SAP and the new stringent conditionalities implemented by the CBN, then why should I waste my time. |
Rawani:That's what Buhari and his finance minister told us in 84 about SAP. It was not until our economy crashed and we could no longer handle the depression, that IBB kicked him out and implemented a poorly altered form of the programme. As I said both you and the OP know nothing about economics. You and him just search the web and put out here disjointed views of some school of thought. |
