This was culled from the net.
I found it very funny

In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was 26,
In the Carling Cup he was 19.
In inininininin the Carling Cup he was 19. N-n-n-nineteen.

most of the media houses ure talking about are in London. UTD get more sticks from the media than Arsenal.
It's highly debatable.
However, 'THE SUN, UK' is the manc official newspaper.

Who can predict which team is most likely to bundle the Chavs out of the next domestic competitionhuh?
Last season, it was Barnsley.
Yestersday it was Burnley.
I am placing my bets on any team strating with a B and ending with ley to defeat Chelski next.
Bornley,Bernley, Binsley (Any idea if any of these teams exist in England?? huh huh grin)

@all,

If those boys had lost gay men would have said they were young, now they won they have taken all the plaudits. Its hard to play the kids because u will never get kudos if u beat them and u get the flak if u lose to them
Simple antidote
Develop your own kids too, poach from other academies.
Damn, do anything so that the Arsenal kids won't embarass you
or if they do, you can come up with the excuse, that your own kids too were young and still learning their trade. grin grin

I can remember i nearly fainted in one of the matches

Football no easy at all
u did bicycle kick? for where? ur compound grin grin
@tkb417
You should have seen the bicycle kick!!!
It was a moment of inspiration as my team was losing by 0-1 and we were in added time.
Someone should have had that moment on video and I would have posted it on you tube.
Who knows?
I could have gotten a short term contract in Europe.
The bicycle kick drama happenned at my once-in-a-week footie hangout. grin grin grin

I still remember the Newcastle match in January, when he limped out and we all thought that, maximum, 3 weeks
he will be back.
Three weeks turned to months and now, we are looking at 1 year.
It is now a spiritual case!!! huh

Who The F$*k is Ray Wilkins?
The side kick at Chelski was talking thrash about Arsenal.
(Did anyone hear Clarke make comments when he was there).
He claims Arsenal is undermining the Carlings Cup by using it too blood youngsters.
He went on to say:

"It’s all about winning trophies when you’re a big club,"

"The fact we’ve won the Carling Cup twice in the last four years and Arsenal have won none justifies our policy.

"You enter a competition to win the competition. Why go into it if you’re not concerned whether you win it?

"Playing a young or weakened team undermines the value of the competition.

"And we have not and will not do that. We want to win it, big time.".'

While I wish not to take a dig at the Chavs, I have got no choice.

Can you imagine this guy bragging about winning the Milk Cuphuh?

and also saying 'We want to win it, big time'huh

Does Chelsea see this competiotion as a big competitionhuh huh

While I don't begrudge Chelsea when they field an overstrength team in the CC.
Why would anyone begrudge Arsenal for fielding its youngsters from the academy??
This same youngsters beat Wigan(1st 11) 3-0 yesterday.
While the entire football fraternity, (even the haters) are in unison, praising the valiant and dexterous display of the youngsters,
a sidekick at the Chavs(obviously green with envy) is spitting twaddle.
It makes me remember an evergreen Ebenezer Obey's song which literally translates to
'There is nothing you can do in this world to satisfy everyone, some people would always choose to see the negative side and dwell on it'
Ray Wilkins should just Shut Up.He ain't making any sense.

we are through to the last 8.
These kids have just beaten a premier league team
complete with Zaki-2nd highest goal scorer in the league
                     Palacios-Manure target
                     Bramble-loads of Epl experience
                     Brown -ex spurs
                    Kirkland-intl experience
                    Melchiot-Ex chav
Big ups to them.
Other clubs would be envious of what Arsenal has got.

Heskey is injured.
To be replaced most likely by Camara
Zaki is a class act.
Let's see how the defence will cope with him.
A blossomin pairing can't be enough reason to exhaust the only physical and credible attacker we have fit right now.Bendtner if peradventured played and injured today we leave us with only Vela as an the only frontman in the whole Arsenal team and that is one situation we dnt need now. However way we criticize Bendtner u cnt compare is presence in the box to that of Bendtner and also we need the aerial presence of this dude till Ade comes back.Am sure it is the reason Bendtner was left out.

Wigan will surely trouble us today and i think they are better and truer test compared to Sheffield.I sense a draw too
You are right on that one.
Afterall, it's just the milk cup.Isn't it? grin grin
Just that, Bendtner seems the most experienced in attack and if he scores in these kind of games, it will boost his confidence ahead of Villa's visit.
I wouldn't like Wigan to defeat us at the Emirates, even if it's our third team!!! grin grin
but like I said, it's just the MILK CUP!!!!

The squad for today is as follows,

12 Carlos VELA
16 Aaron RAMSEY
17 Alex SONG
19 Jack WILSHERE
20 Johan DJOUROU
21 Lukasz FABIANSKI (GK)
24 Vito MANNONE (GK)
28 Amaury BISCHOFF
35 Francis COQUELIN
39 Rui FONTE
40 Kieran GIBBS
41 Gavin HOYTE
42 Henri LANSBURY
43 Fran MERIDA
46 Abu OGOGO
47 Mark RANDALL
50 Jay SIMPSON
56 Emmanuel FRIMPONG
Nicklas Bendtner's name is conspicuously missing from this list.
I would have loved to see his partnership with Vela blossom again in this tie.
I hope AW isn't taking a gamble, resting him(Bendtner) and playing Vela with Jay Simpson.
Looking forward to seeing Coquelin, Bischoff, Merida and Ramsey in midfield.
And of course having Englishmen on the field, the likes of Randall,Wilshere,Hoyte and Gibbs.

@cesc or se x, where did u watch your own game. How did u outplay united. U scored your goals while we wasted ours. United had more possession 54-46, more corners, more shot on goal lesser fouls, so how did u play better
@ nya
You have managed to crawl from the grubby hole in which you have been hiding since Saturday!!!!.
If you like, have possession of 100-0,create all the chances in the world(a teenage right back scored your only goal) and have more throw in and free kicks.
Final scores at the Emirates read-
Arsenal 2
Manure 1

and my friend NYA-THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS grin
In your fantasy league, you can give Manure 2 points for having more possession in the game. grin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 9:55pm On Nov 09, 2008
It ain't a league match.
It's the CC.
AW will line up the CC team and Djorou may be the one to captain the side.
Vela and Bendtner should pair in attack
and we should see Ramsey,Wilshere,Bischoff and Song(or that French teenager, what's his name again) in the middle.
Fabianski would be in goal.
We should beat Wigan,
Zaki or no Zaki

Congrats Gaynners! You were wise enough to take advantage of our missed opportunities. If i were fergie, Rooney will be starting from the bench till further notice.
HNIC, Rasputin and Kay,
I observed you gloating, its allowed. But i couldn't find you guys after the loss to Stoke and after being Spurned.
Nyways, guess we were over confident. I was a bit wary though given that it was eleven players s piece and i reckon that it was full house for you guys aside Otubayor and Van Persie. So there was not much difference though. We paid for missed chances as we did at Everton. I am also not too confident about the defence. Rio in particular.
All the same, i didn't cry and too bad for those of you who thought i did.
Some plates of nkwobi and grilled fish with smirnoff was what i saddled myself with.
Nevertheless, c'est une longue terme de football. Maintenant, c'est le matin.

ONE UNITED!!!
