Obinnio: boss You miss understood me, I never asked for tips if it's hard or not cos I'm ready for any Exam, I'm just asking if You know the time of the year A'level takes place,
I like your spirit. but its best you get tutorials from a school dat specialize on it

ebele17: Horatio27, i think i would know if WAEC conducts london GCE considering dat it is where i currently work now. I think i would know what goes on in my office. Dont u?? grin
okk. but do they conduct Cambridge GCE?. what am trying to say is that London GCE and Cambridge GCE are two different board. I mean no offense
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 10:18am On Sep 29, 2014
Eke40seven: yea, you are right. its called the Cambridge IGCSE. its the one conducted by British council of Nigeria.
However I don't know if they had any sort of arrangement with WAEC. I will try and chat up a friend whose father runs a tutorial centre for international exam and also do a small research.
I will get something back by the end of the day.
you really go a long way in helping people bro, success is definitely yours.

the people that have arrangement with waec is the university of London but the university of Cambridge doesn't. Cambridge igcse is equivalent to waec and Cambridge GCE A level is equivalent to 1 year in Nigerian uni. I don't really think uni of London GCE is recognized as Cambridge is. and university of London GCE conducted by waec is only for non west Africans
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 9:33am On Sep 29, 2014
ebele17: Please oo, WAEC conducts London GCE exams in Nigeria. Go to any WAEC office and ask them how u can register and where u can write d exam. If you are in Lagos, go to yaba or Ikeja office at Ogba and find out.

Goodluck
not the one that waec conducts but the one dat British council in Nigeria conducts.

Obinnio: U are the Boss, thanks, I'll google when they conduct the exam, but tips on when they writes it will be helpful to me and to others that will read
did I mention that the exam is very hard? with only waec knowledge you will come out with E or even U
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 8:55pm On Sep 28, 2014
Obinnio: Eke40seven thanks I appreciate,U've really answered almost all my questions, but one last question to the house pls, Is GCE an acceptable A'level
not the nabtec A level or waec A level but the Cambridge international A level also known as CIE A level or UK GCE A level.

PHILipu1: House, please without starting a Nigeria university and completing year one so that i can have transcripts

Rayhut: Thanks,I am already in Germany now,It was fear of unknown that made me to come to this forum to enquire but now that I am in Germany the fear is gone.I have met alot of Africans in Germany and Germans are very friendly and they are willing to help somebody to stay and also one hospital here has offer to help me to get a stay because they need me more than I need them because I have a professional Diploma in Medical Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy and I am very good at that in massage and physiotherapy, germany is having shortage of workers because of their tight immigration policy. They also advice me to mary a german or to enroll in school of medicine incase if the hospital did succeed in getting me an extension, but no wahala everything is fine,I can now eat three times in a day, people are friendly here, even the german police and immigration are friendly, alot of economic activities going on,tourist everywhere
find work then apply for work Visa

Eke40seven: OK guy, good for you. sorry if my reply looks a bit rigid. That's why its always good to ask the school you are applying to specifically. However, what I noted above is a general requirement. Rhine Waal is a very new school with an international orientation and could be very flexible in so many things than the older institutions.
GCE A level is not really a Nigerian exam, just like Cambridge 'A' level. We have not really exploited that option to see If its acceptable by all schools.
I think this your observation will open the floor for a whole new dimension for this BSC admission thing.
I will personally try to send out email to some schools international office to see what their response is like.

Guys with experience, let's discuss this option, it could be better than waiting for another year in a university especially for people with OND and o'level result.
What do you think?
As far as its the Cambridge international A level, its accepted by all schools in Germany. but there are rules that apply. a person can take the exam as an external student but to pass it the person have to know book, not waec knowledge oo as in 100 level knowledge. its costly oo like 130000k for the exam.

xij38580: Hi what email did you send it to ? I sent an email to their international-office(at)hochschule-rhein-waal.de on the 21st and have not gotten a reply yet.
it took 18 days before they replied me. it better to call them.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 11:35am On Sep 26, 2014
Veryplain: bro tanks a lot,but I just received a mail from Rhine -waal university of applied science :Dear prospective student,

The following criteria have to be fulfilled concerning your GCE A Level:

You need to have proof of at least 4 subjects, from which one has to be a language and the other mathematics (for both A-Level is required). The other two subjects have to be general-education subjects, from which one has to fit to the program you would like to study. One of these two subjects is required to be completed as A-Level, while it is sufficient if the other subject is completed on the AS-Level. That means, for admission to higher education in Germany you need three A Level and one AS level.

We have no leeway regarding the admission requirements.

If you fulfill the above mentioned requirements we are glad to receive your online application.

 :
I received the same response when I sent them a mail but you can still use HND or a year transcript.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 12:17pm On Sep 19, 2014
researchQ: Kelly please help me with this questions
I have an HND (higher national diploma) please do I need to attach the HND statement of result issued to me by my former school? Or do I need to attach transcript? If transcript, should it cover both OND and HND or only HND? Is statement of result okay ? Or do I need to attach my HND certificate as well? Finally is it acceptable to combine two secondary school certificates?
Thank you as I await your response.
I think you can apply without your waec, just OND and HND

elvis10ten: lol, price isn't always related to quality. What if i say yes to quantity ? what are my options. And if i say yes to quality, what are my options ?.
well to start, you can't use your waec to apply directly to an undergraduate program in Germany. you need to have at least one year in a Nigerian uni, or A level or HND.
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by Horatio27: 6:30pm On Sep 11, 2014
elvis10ten: thanks. was thinking about after writing my waec, then will go into full time computer programming for a year or more to get the 1.8m naira. but apart from germany, is there any other beta and cheaper (cost of living, etc) country ?
are you looking for QUALITY or QUANTITY? it depends

I think waec and neco can be combined to gain admission in Germany. many people used waec and neco combo to gain admission in Nigeria and now want to do masters in Germany. u can use waec and neco since u can use result of two sittings. I don't think its advisable to use this for courses with restricted admission because of competition and all that but if Anabin.de says its possible then ok. d basic principle of gaining admission in Germany according to daad is that if its accepted in your home country then its accepted in Germany

does any one have anymore contributions? am I right or wrong?

naijadove: Yes, but you start taking some courses in german from year two and then its 50/50 by third year.
Most universities that teach in english usually require some level of german proficiency. I meant you are learning for free, the least one can do is learn their language.
yes that's right, but i think the guy wants to study fully in English and only rhein Waal offers that

Also i want to know bout their requirement.
I wil be grateful if anybody can help me
there is only Waal. but fh wurzbug-scweinfurt offers industrial engineering (business administration and engineering) in English. uni Manheim offers automation engineering in English for the first 3 semesters. why not just study in Rhein Waal? are you afraid of the schools reputation or what?.

are you using A level to apply or HND.

Nedu09: Really! But if i have to go for physics at NOUN and gain admission at Rhein waal uni with physics. Dnt you fink the VO would ask me why i diverted from my career or course as it would show i studied Mech Engin? ... And secondly is it possible for me to change course from physics to mechanical... If is possible i would give it a second thought. but if is not then too risky cos I still hold Mech at high esteem. I did my industrial traning at Total E&P NIG Upstream. and my Romanian boss told me to finish out well and come back for a slot. but i can't enter there with physics certificate that's why am striving hard...the discrepancy is much won't the VO think i have a plan? i wrote WAEC 2008 and preparing for 2016 season After one two semesters 2015... My problem is can i still port back to engineering after i had gone for physics at rhein waal? Guys help a beg....
try A level course and exam in Nigeria. No need for jamb with dat
