HealthRe: African Union Has Encouraged Youths To Lead The Fight Against Malaria by Horus(m): 12:07pm On Aug 17, 2022
Since mosquitoes are the only vectors of this disease, getting rid of mosquitoes is essential for the prevention of malaria.

1 - Maintain a clean environment and reduce garbage and stagnation of water in your home and surroundings, as these are
the potential breeding places for mosquitoes.

2 - Neem leaves are also helpful in repelling mosquitoes

3 - When outdoors, burning pepper sticks is a good solution as its smoke is effective in keeping mosquitoes away.

omohayek:
Or rather, the leaders are bad because they are drawn from a mass of already corrupt ordinary citizens. We love to tell ourselves that we act the way we do because our leaders set a bad example, but the truth is precisely the other way around: there are very few ordinary, church/mosque-going, "honest" Nigerians who wouldn't put Dasuki, Abacha, Diezani and the rest to shame if ever given the opportunity. All that "I hate the corruption of XYZ" means when coming from the mouth of a typical Nigerian is "I hate how XYZ are leaving me out of their corruption". If not for this corrupt mindset, every election wouldn't turn into a tribal, religiously sectarian "do or die" struggle with people mouthing nonsense about "turn by turn" or "fairness, equity and justice" ...
Government is the pure and innocent mirror of the nation, faithfully reflecting whatever is presented to it.

A lack of self-esteem or confidence in one’s ability, fear or insecurity in a person makes one become more corrupt.
He then tries to find his security only through money. But the more money he acquires, the more afraid and fearful
he becomes because the money is not earned in a right manner.

South Africa Women’s Team To Be Paid Equally As Their Men

South Africa’s Minister of Sports, Art and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, and the country’s football association president, Danny Jordaan, both confirmed that the women’s team (Banyana Banyana) will be paid equally as the men’s team (Bafana Bafana).

In a historic move for women’s football in South Africa, Banyana Banyana will now receive the same base salary as their male counterparts.

Banyana Banyana received a hero’s welcome when they arrived in South Africa with the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy on Tuesday. They won their first title last Saturday, defeating Morocco in a tense final in Rabat.

“It is going to be a law in this country that Banyana Banyana and Bafana Bafana will be paid equally,” Nathi Mthethwa announced.

“We are making that decision as the government. It’s not only Banyana Banyana but all the women’s teams [to be paid equally], we are supporting them as government.

“We’ve said to SAFA that when we give SAFA money they need to put a sum aside for women in general.”

Jordaan also confirmed that the football body will follow a trend occurring throughout the women’s game.

“On the African continent, Sierra Leone became the first African country to pay women and men the same, after an agreement between the government and the Sierra Leone football [association]. Brazil now is paying men and women equal. Norway has followed that route, England has gone that route and it’s time South Africa follows that route,” Jordaan said.

You can charge your electric car directly from your Solar Panel system. If you plan to charge your car at night, however, you'll need a domestic solar battery storage system to store the energy harnessed throughout the day.

Humans cannot exist in isolation. Such thinking leads to the idea that our human nature is fundamentally relational and is linked to others. No matter who we are, we depend on connection, community, and caring — simply, we cannot be without each other.

As individuals, we are equipped with particular talents and strengths. As such, we owe it to ourselves, and therefore, our community a sense of service that breeds self-progression and success that benefits us and our society.

Nigeria seeks $400 million private investment to complete Millennium Tower

The Federal Government has called on interested investors in the private sector to invest about $400 million required to complete the Millennium Tower and Cultural Centre in Abuja. The tower is a multifunctional edifice with facilities for cultural exposition, tourism, socialisation, recreation, hospitality and commercial activities.

Conceived in 2005, the project which has reached 40 per cent completion, is expected to upon completion, self-finance itself through the revenues generated from the running of all the commercial activities in the complex. The Ministers of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed and Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, inspected the project located in the heart of Abuja on Thursday.

Speaking after a tour of the complex and the tower – the tallest artificial structure in Abuja – Mr Mohammed said they were there to showcase the project for private sector collaboration and investment. He said all that was needed to complete the project was $400 million and it would be sourced from the private sector.

Millennium tower Abuja
“This is the only part of the world where every infrastructure is built by government.

“In other parts of the world where you have this kind of project, it is done in collaboration with the government and the private sector.

“As a matter of fact, government is just to be an enabler

“My appeal, therefore, is to the private sector , particularly lovers of arts and recreation to join hands with the Federal Government to complete the project.

“All the facilities have to do with contents, cultural centre, five star hotel, museums, arcades and others, it will generate a lot of revenue for whoever has the courage to partner with us,’’ he said. The minister, who commended the vision of the past leaders who initiated the project, said when completed, it would rival the most audacious national monuments across the globe.

For its part, the FCT minister whose office is supervising the project said there were no sufficient resources from budgetary allocation to complete it. He said over the past years, the FCT Administration identified a number of capital projects within the city and has spent a lot of resources to complete them in phases.

“We started by tackling the road networks, the rail system and now water.

“As you can see, this is a massive project that will require a lot of funding.

“We are here to see how we can identify other sources of funding apart from budgetary allocation or Internally Generated Revenue (IGR),’’ he said. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the scope of the project comprises cultural centre with four museums, expansive arcade consisting of 40,000m2 platform for hosting national and other events and a five-star hotel with 55 luxury rooms and nine suites for about 130 persons.

Others are, offices, passive and active recreational facilities, 1200 capacity auditorium, conference rooms, exhibitions halls, shops, a sport centre with an indoor pool, gyms, fitness, squash courts and a two-level 1,200 capacity basement car parks.

The millennium tower itself is a 170 meter tall structure accommodating a revolving panoramic restaurant for more than 130 diners.

Big Brother Naija . This program is the perfection of liberal ideals being used to camouflage the New World Order. The program is really about surveillance conditioning, adapting you to a reality with no freedom. The program uses sexuality as the distracting tool aiding a socialisation agenda preparing the masses for the real big brother, The New World order. It also devalues the understanding of the New World Order making it be perceived as NO BIG DEAL! The emergence of Reality TV is not a coincidence as we entered a new century these programmes popped up out of nowhere for most of these reality shows world-wide are created and controlled by one company called ENDEMOL. They call it endemol we suggest they are trying to END-THEM-ALL. The big brother show uses an Eye as the symbol. This eye is tied to the eye on the pyramid on the back of the US dollar bill, which states Novus Ordo Seclorum, which means New World Order
