Politics › Re: Lebanese Suspects Planned To Bomb Israeli Embassy In Nigeria by Horus(m):
The Lebanese community in Nigeria has a longstanding history of dark and illegal business in Nigeria (illegal trade, drug smugling, etc ). I think it's fundamentally important to cross-examine comprehensively Lebanese activities in the country. The Lebaneses get an official job to cover up dubious activities. Time is ripe to shed light on them before Nigeria finds itself unknowingly and unwillingly sponsoring terrorist activities and becomes disgraced internationally.

Inside Story : Zimbabwe: The dawn of a new era?

Zimbabwe's long-serving president, Robert Mugabe, is seeking to extend his 33 years in power. Zimbabwe gained independence in 1980 and Mugabe was named prime minister. He has been the country's only known leader since, and Mugabe is determined that will not be changing - for now at least. So, will the landmark polls see Mugabe continue to hang on to power, or mark the dawning of a new era for Zimbabwe? To discuss this, Inside Story, with presenter Mike Hanna is joined by guests: Petina Gappah, a lawyer and award-winning author on Zimbabwean culture; Nhlanhla Dube, spokesman for the Movement for Democratic Change, and George Shire, a scholar and commentator on Zimbabwe, who has written articles expressing support for Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF party.
Please do not throw crap my way, lol, I am just hoping to get some different opinions as to why Marijuana is so demonized worldwide, I think it started from the U.S.A, and other countries followed suit.

Tobacco kills about 440,000 people in the U.S.A per year.

Alchohol kills about 25,692 people in the U.S.A per year.

Marijuana kills 0 people per year in the U.S.A due to overdose.

So why is it victimized so much? I have my reasons, but I would like to hear from the nairaland community, feel free to chime in.
Marijuana is not demonized worldwide, in some countries marijuana consumption is "tolerated". I think that marijuana should not be classified as a drug.

Integration minister Cecile Kyenge, who was born in Democratic Republic of Congo, has angered far-right groups with her campaign to make it easier for immigrants to gain Italian citizenship.
Why fight for Integration and Italian citizenship in a racist country?, let us develop Africa and there will be no need to beg the racists.
I also suggest that we should raise the price of bananas for Italians grin
