Before the Junta takeover in Mali and Burkina Faso the French were arming, training and sharing intelligence with the terrorists that massacred civilians in villages (including women and children). On top of that, when they bought military equipment in order to defend their villages, France and her allies managed to block the equipment abroad while they were counting France as a partner. After that stabbing in the back by France, they decided to terminate all the agreements they had with France. Luckily for them, there are other countries that are willing to help. They have acquired a lot of weapons from Russia, China, Turkye, Iran, etc. Now, the terrorists are getting crushed really hard. Their last support was Mr. Bazoum, who got kicked out by his own army. This means game over for France and her terrorist mates. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgJrAmeObBo Niamey residents welcome plans to prosecute former president Mohamed Bazoum The possible trial of former Nigerien president Mohamed Bazoum was a hot topic in Niamey on Monday 'Aug 14). Some residents of the capital backed the plan the ruling junta announced late Sunday. The military said in an address Bazoum would be tried for “high treason” and undermining state security. "Crime of high treason? That's exactly what he [deserves], since this gentleman has betrayed the people of Niger, by trying to put all Niger's resources to his own account. It's unacceptable for a president," a local resident said. Coup leader General Abdourahmane Tchiani said in his first televised adress the country needed to change course to secure its preservation and he and others had decided to intervene to overcome "security, economic and social challenges". "We liked what Tchiani did because (President Mohamed) Bazoum betrayed our country, he really did," a lady doubled down. Independent justice system? Col. Major Amadou Abdramane, member of Niger's ruling CNSP said Bazoum was being charged following his post-coup exchanges with high-ranking West African politicians and "their international mentors," whom the leaders of the revolt accuse of making false allegations and attempting to derail a peaceful transition in order to justify a military intervention. He added that military regime had "gathered the necessary evidence to prosecute before competent national and international authorities the ousted president and his local and foreign accomplices." A hurdle on the path for this trial could be the judicial system itself, the Executive Secretary for the Network of Organisations for Transparency and Analysis of Budget (a local human rights group) warned. "The CNSP (National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland) must have all the evidence it needs before handing him over to the courts, and handing over a president to the courts means removing him from office. With the coup d'état, the impeachment is already done," Ali Idrissa said. "Today, our greatest concern is the appointment of this Minister of Justice, who, in our view, does not guarantee a free justice system." Ecowas and the US department of State said Monday the move to prosecute Bazoum did not "contribute to a peaceful resolution of the crisis." So you want Tinubu to fight Niger just to redeem Nigeria's image?. You must be a warmonger. The problem is that if you go to war you will fight against a coalition of armies: Niger Army, Burkina Faso Army, Guinea Army and Mali Army. Is it worth it to destroy so many humans?, and will it redeem Nigeria's image?, or destroy Nigeria's image? |
mogbeyiteren:It is a plausible explanation. Niger Republic have enforced an airspace ban and the Niger Military warned that they will shoot down and destroy unauthorised aircraft without warning |

The reasons for the failure of the Nigerian army to defeat Boko Haram include poor equipment, demoralization of the troops fighting, and corruption in the top echelon of the military |

A Nigerian Air force helicopter crashes after attack in north-central Nigeria A Nigerian Air Force helicopter crashed in the north-central Nigerian state of Niger on Monday, with sources saying it had come under fire from armed bandits. The helicopter crashed near Chukuba village in the Shiroro local government area of the state, air force spokesperson Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet said. An investigation was under way, he said. It was not known how many people were on board. Niger state lies hundreds of kilometres southeast of Niamey, the capital of the country of Niger where a junta seized power in a coup last month. Two military sources said bandits fired at the helicopter which had been sent to evacuate victims of an attack on Sunday that killed at least 10 soldiers caught up in an ambush. Armed gangs are rife across Nigeria's northwest where they rob and kidnap for ransom. Thousands of people have been killed in attacks in recent years. Islamist group Boko Haram is also active in northern Nigeria alongside the Islamic State of West Africa, a regional affiliate of Islamic State. If you want to see a stable Niger out of hands of France and USA, then Nigeria should stop to be a puppet of NATO. What is the position of the Nigerian government concerning the Niger Air Base 201, a United States drone airbase in Agadez, Niger?. And what about the French military base on the outskirts of the capital Niamey?. At the moment we are witnessing a Nigerian government who is simply obeying to France and USA, but not helping Niger to be out of the hands and France and USA. And since Nigeria applied to BRICS, I believe that the BRICS will be very reluctant to accept Nigeria as a new member because they see that the position of Nigeria is very ambiguous and contradictory |
