There's something called a warning which is what you could have told her. Try this stunt in a developed world and watch her sue you.
Which developed world are you talking about please? Cause I have seen people hired and fired same day, unless United Kingdom’s not part of developed world.

Company work is different from government work. You can be in government job and be earning salary without any reasonable input but not so in industrial circle.
Do you know how much barrels of oil needed to be produced in a day ? It's a lot of problems to achieve this !
As many people as possible who can offer solutions to solving these problems are needed.
Machine problems are there, skills problems are there, human problems are there, financial problems are there, safety problems are there, logistics problems are there, language problems are there, electricity problems are there, supply problems are there. In fact the problems are too numerous to mention !

The question now is - which of these problems do you have the capacity to solve ?
You are right , trust some Nigerians will take government job attitude with them to that industrial complex, some will be spotted early and fired while others would have caused a lot of damages before they are found.

Let’s hope they figure it out fast, cause the country needs that place to be at least 80% functional.

The sad of it is maybe, just maybe, that man who died also contributed to churches rather than invest in a hospital nearby. lipsrsealed
You are not far from the truth here, religious people build monsters that end up killing them before their time.

I am afraid you are wrong! Religion is largely to blame for robbing Nigerians of their ability to critically reason their condition and the general state of Nigerian society as a whole. You remove religion and re-introduce dependence on individual ability to reason, you will see wonders begin to happen among Nigerians right there in Nigeria. undecided

And I mean every Religion — Islam, Christianity, Judaism. Hinduism... all the organized -isms. I am ofcourse against stopping their freedoms but I believe it is time they are all taxed at least under the same bracket as other social businesses. The revenue generated could at least do wonders when pumped effectively into the education system. undecided
Religion as practiced by Africans is the biggest obstacle to Africa’s development.

I was called to help take a sick person to the hospital at about 4am, there were 11 churches within 1 mile of my area, no hospital, not even one before we could get to the nearest one he died.

I wondered if we had only one church and the rest put money together to build a non for profit hospital with emergency services, maybe just maybe that guy would have survived.

But instead they were busy praying and casting out demons on a guy that was already gone.

But do you know that there has been a functional port there for years
Yes , but not of big international going vessels, River Niger is about 120feet deep , which is even deeper than Chesapeake canal which carries large cargo ships. The problem is that this river empties into delta river and into the Atlantic. Good luck getting Ijaws to accept they are Igbo’s.

This paper work is huge.

These are business men. They built those houses to make money. You won’t expect me to build 4 storey inside my village for who to live in ? Dredge River Niger to the capacity of vessels coming in and all roads lead to the East.

You know that a typical Igbo man won’t abandon bee Nnaa.
Lol, River Niger can not be dredged, it’s not a conventional sea port and can never be one . Even though I wish otherwise, the truth is that the geography of Niger River being a port is not workable , nature made it so.

Okay, I will volunteer to enlighten you.

1. The cost of search will depend on the value of the land you want to buy. If you want to buy a plot worth N25m, the price will be different from a plot of 500k.

2. Search (es) are different depending on who is conducting it. A thorough search by a good lawyer will not end up at government agencies or offices. It starts from the family compound of the owner of the land, finding out who and who are the signatories being portrayed, number of wives and children of the owner in addition to the consent or otherwise of all necessary claimant to the land.

3. A thorough search can take any one conducting it even to where you never envisaged.

Buttom line, building a house is not bread and butter.

I know is not set in stone, but any idea how much it will cost to get a building approval for a plot of land in Ibeju lekki that already has a governors consent ?

I share your sentiment I really do, however, I also agree that the definition of madness is doing same thing over and over again and somehow expect a different result. So I will vote someone different from the status quo this time.

Yes. It is enough reason for you not to go to church. Your friend is a good Christain. A good Christain who knows how much his/her God needs money to do his work will not go to church if he/she doesn't have money to give.

PS: I am not a Christain. I consider it foolish to serve a God that needs money for anything. I see any self acclaimed "almighty God" that needs money for anything as a being lesser than mere humans beings.

A God that is worth serving is an all sufficient God that doesn't and cannot need money for anything or to do any work.

Prenuptial agreement! That’s the middle of it all tell her to meet you in the middle.
segtech68:
I'm in a very serious relationship which will likely lead to marriage before the middle of this year. she's a good lady, very decent, God fearing and has a good Job. We both love each other so there's no point waiting than to marry her. We've talked about it and she loves the idea. Also , i've met her family and her parent treated me kindly.

The issue is, we are both planning to relocate after marriage to any of the western countries, we are both credible financially and i'm very sure we won't get denied but the stories i've heard about women changing after getting abroad makes me want to think twice about the court marriage. I would love to do every other marital right except court marriage.

How do i tell her politely without losing her? please i'll appreciate your advise.

Thank you.

I will vote for Obi , but baba will never win. He's an European style politician ,in fact I don't know what he's doing in Nigeria.

Most Nigerians like to worship their oppressors, and Peter Obi does not look like one who wants to feel better than anybody. For that reason alone, an average Nigerian, especially the poor are suspicious of him. Strange I will say. Suffer no de taya them.

Romance / Re: Is Europe Lying To Us About Their History? ((photos)) by hosemujica: 8:46am On Jun 07, 2022
Alright so during the summer in these western nations, the sun rises as early as 6 am, with people still fast asleep in their homes. Maybe that's the best time for a photographer to get his best shot of the cities without the distraction of humans.

For the windows low to the ground, those are basements, for those of you that have been to Europe and US, I don't need to explain further. But if you have not traveled there before just google , "basements in buildings " its self explanatory.

Op. If you are looking for a way to take away the fact that Europeans built this architectural wonders , and somehow say the aliens did, then you did a very bad job at it. But even if aliens did built Europe and America we Africans must be really hated that they refused to help us out too.

Until we Africans realize that our backwardness is our fault, we will never make headway.

He is Igbo. There are igbos communities in akwaibom.

What does Udoka mean then?
Lol, they have a meaning for Udoka in their own language , ask any Akwa Ibom friend, if you have one. Moreover my friend back in college has Udoka as his last name, yet he's from Oron, the interior of Akwa Ibom and they have no boundary with any Igbo state.
