Na wah oo, please what are their ethnicity? |
oh nice, you are doing good for yourself I must say and your career path is one that wont be hard finding a job compare to others. When you are ready, I can give you job websites you can look at and even getting govt. job wont be a bad idea as well. Brampton is a good place though a lil bit far from Toronto and requires one to have a car, though there is bus services but comes more or less every 25 mins. Do you have family or friends here? |
@tunnytox, anytime dear, alwayz willing to render my help and suggestions. If I may ask, what part of Canada are you looking at relocating to and what is you and your wife's career path? I can be able to suggest some job search engine Good luck and God who gave you the PR will surely give you the resources to make the move. |
well maybe since she is not a Nigerian woman, she might not be seeing the significant of what is been said here. In most instances, future mother-in laws will even test the girl to know whether she can cook or not and they r always ready to render their help. I still believe the girl should start by wanting the willingness to learn, who knows it might prevent what might be waiting for her in the future (am not in any way praying for any negative thing) but prevention is better than cure |
This is for people esp. women who wants to marry outside their ethnicity, Now, there is nothing wrong with that and I support it 100 percent but bear in mind to have the willingness to learn or you stop complaining. There is no way in this world and the girl have to right to request that her hubby and mother should not speak their language just for the very reason she is around them. People getting married should be aware of all these cultural differences and look beyond "he's fine, tall, rich etc and whats now" and see the real thing. |
@tunnytox , yea, just touch down in the country and then leave and den start looking for a job online and once you secure one, you can move there Love your reply regarding Canada been like the US and dont know why a lot of Nigerians like making such comment. I'm even tired to reply, lol I shall be back |
thats good, congrats in advance, lemme know wen u r in town |
I dont think you are ready to marry a Nigerian man, When you marry a Nigerian man, you are getting married to his entire family. Family is very important in the Nigerian context when it comes to Marriage. If his people does not like you, there is 99.9 percent he will not marry you even if he sees you as a goddess. However, I do not think the Nigerian traditional marriage is needed if you are not Nigerian cuz that happens in the home of the bride. As someone suggested, if you want to marry this man and be liked by his family, I do not advice you try to front (fake) for them to like u put you have to do certain things which will naturally make them to like you like being submissive to the man, know hoe to cook or at least willingness to cook. Good Luck If the man is getting pasta now and enjoying it, there will be a time in his life he might just want to eat traditional food, thus creates problem in the future |
that u guys wanted to marry wasnt enough reason to marry when you cannot afford it, If I may ask, what was the bill? |
ah! moving to Toronto next month? why? ur school nko? abi u wanna change skool |
well I guess this is the whole disadvantage of not marrying from one's ethnic group. I am not in any way saying its bad but one has to make sure that he/she will be able to copy and learn. The lady should make an effort to at least understand or not feel something bad is being said about her, @Poster, re-assure her of this and if possible, reply your mother in english when she ask you things in igbo |
@wonderbod, I think I remember u now and u neva showed up, lol wen next r u coming to Toronto? Calls here aint really that expensive, I still find it better than the Nigerian system, as far as you get the right one. I hope you know that once you leave your city, u can make a call to any1 in the city you are in but when you recieve, you pay |
@wonderbod, where in Canada r u? |
Consult the UMUNNA, They will know what to do |
@Busy-Body, well said I think she should go to naija and talk with him and if after everything, it entails her moving back, she should do that and she can be able to even get a job in Nigeria, come to Canada whenever she wants to. Please, he needs you now |
its today, Today is Catholic Mothers day in Nigeria, last week was for Anglicans |
I can imagine what you are going through. The worst is when the person is not saying what his beef is all about so you know what to do cuz as it is now, you are helpless. If this continues by the end of your study period (August I guess), make out plan to move back to Nigeria, that is, go for xmas hols and if its 6 months, stay and figure it out, If possible, start now to look for jobs in Nigeria. I really hope he comes around because the marriage is still young and a child is involved. Maybe he does not want to move to Canada. if this is the case, let him know you are willing to Nigeria (hope you would love to). Maybe you should write him a detailed e-mail (if you havent yet) and explain everything and possible options like you willing to move back to Nigeria etc |
@aieromon yes it counts, make sure there is an activity in that account for atleast 3 months, da money out 2 another account, after sumtime, bring it in again, They have noticed that sum people who wants visa, borrow money and stack in one account and then come to apply for Visa and wen they get there, na another story |
@benom, the account needs to be active for atleast 3 months and when I mean active, I mean taking out money there etc, if u leave it there without any activity, it is no 1 failure for you cuz they will rightly know u put that money there just for the purpose of Visa. And 1M can hardly pay your school anyway, |
I hope you listen to what I have to say oooo If you want to enter Canada, visit www.cic.gc.ca, there is no 2 way about At even 100 years, Canadian schools can give you admission as far as you meet their requirement and you can also get visa as far as you meet the requirements which among others is having enough money to sponsor yourself while there Yes, after schooling in Canada as an International Students, you are allowed to apply for their PR but dat doesnt me 100 percent of people who applied will get it. However, if you want to use Student Visa to come here and not school but hoping to work or get their PR, sorry to say but ur dreams will fail as you will even be deported b4 u know it. As an International Student in your 1st year, u are only allowed to work on campus (so if you r not going to school, u cannot work on campus not to talk of off campus) . As an IS, u will be monitored by CIC so be very careful not to make mistakes, if I may ask, whats ur educational background like? and What is so special about Canada that u must go there? |
canuck, where in Toronto r u? |
soon it go be from cousin to sista, mr. ur cuzzin and sister na be same thing, da same blood flowing |
well, NY is over rated just like US things are, |
I was in NY last Year August for a conference, I was so excited but when I got there, I wanted to leave, the place is dirty, crowded, roads r small for the amount of cars on the road, their subway system sucked (no maintenance who so ever), people are rude, even to eat food there was a problem for me (I lost so much weight), no big deal in their so-called Times Square, in fact, if u think NY is bad, visit NJ, gosh, couldnt believe my eyes, what the problem in US is is that they do not maintain their infrastructure or even demolish it and build another one, Most of the houses in NJ, I thought it was going to fall down by any slightest wind blow I have been to London as well, apart from their small roads and houses, I would prefer to visit London and not New York but CANNOT live in either one |
Congrats to them and wish them God's blessings Ijeoma is my veryyyyyyyyyy good friend and I wish her the best, Wish I will be around for da wedding, lol |
@GenBuhari, which one come be Settlement Visa again? please you people should not go and waste money paying sumone that does not know anything about Canada Immigration, If that 10,000 dollars is marrying someone and paying the person, understandable and even at that, it should not be paid in full until he gets the PR, please consult Canada Citizenship and Immigration website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp All the info you need to know plus all the classes of immigration to Canada is listed with description there. BE AWARE OF 19 people, |
PRAYER IS THE KEY, be prayerful cuz there is nuthing our GOD cannot do B/w, what does the doctor says is the cause of the infection? |
