Politics / Re: Insecurity: We Need Berlin Kind Of Walls At Our Borders - Navy Tells Reps by Housing(m): 8:11am On Sep 28, 2021
Gratefulheart1:
Mumu country, always wasting years on things that can be fixed within seconds.

After building Berlin wall, they discover wall of China is what they need, after that they discover they also need towers of Babel to be able to see bandits properly.

Mumu black African race.

Sometimes I wonder if it's same God that created White people and Blacks.

Shame on black people.

There is nothing outdated about building walls, Former President of America Donald Trump builds walls around America's border with Mexico.

That being said, you make mockery of yourself and race. People with unknown neo-inferiority complex syndrome enjoys deriding themselves and their race.

Saying border insecurities can be fixed within seconds is justified your negative contribution to the discuss.
Career / Re: I Am Confused: Please Advise Me! by Housing(m): 3:19pm On Sep 27, 2021
Honour and respect your Mum always, but stick to your plan with all your strength. It is only now that you can lay a solid foundation for yourself and descendants.

Be more focus about your plan to relocate acquire the right education and skills. African mothers like to boast that my child has his own house, but life goes beyond that. That your little savings can't complete a 2-bedroom flat, it can not even buy you a full plot of land in a location that you may consider ok for having basic infrastructure.

So you can not convince her but you can be sure of your plans and aspirations. Please stick to your plans.

Best of luck

Kano is the commercial nerve centre of the North with quite numbers of industries. Most raw materials transportation from Lagos are usually Kano bound, this I can confirm based on my haulage and transportation request I use to receive.

Business / Re: Nigeria's FX Crisis: What You Should Know By Kingsley Moghalu by Housing(m): 8:00pm On Sep 21, 2021
I didn't buy, the more will devalued our currency the more its free fall. Naira was allowed to finds it's natural level in late 80's it led to devaluation. Again it was floated to find it's level lat 2016 - early 2017 it's lost over 80% of it's value.

When PMB threatened to outlaw BDC if the free fall continues a miracle happened. From N520 to a US Dollar it appreciated to N327/US Dollar. Before it continues another round of free fall.

Bankers makes great deal of fortune from round tripping and insiders trading. To remain in the FX department in any bank today you must rub palms.

Our economy is in tatters because of the insecurities in the country. Cost of transporting a 30tons truck from Lagos to Kano was less than Five Hundred Thousand (N500,000) as at March 2021 but today you will be luck to get it done at Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N700,000).

Nigeria can not afford to float Naira it can only lead to Zimbabwe.

The Federal Government should unbanned every every essential and consumable good for the time being as the insecurities as slow down productions in all facets of our to an all times low. We need to rejig to the economy for our to survive the shortages. Thus will can prohibit importations of what we sufficient in or those with alternatives.

The country is more or less in a war situation and needs availability of essential needs for it's citizens at a cheaper rate.

That's quite high, are there no cheaper options?

Visit different banks and compare their rates/charges. You may consider other those Fintech.

Mind you security should be of more importance than charges. You easily enter a bank and complain if there are issue, unlike in the of Fintechs.

Go to different banks and compare their rates. FCMB charges around 12,000 per a thousand US Dollar.

Wow that’s great I’m nice to meet you!
Just curious like do people come from places like ogba Ikeja and so on

Yes, Ogba and Ikeja were some people's farms/village/Hamlets. Ogba is owned by Awori same as Ikeja, but Ikeja is not the name of that area before the British Colonial era. Ikeja is just an acronym for the administration of other parts of the State.

This is nepotism taken too far.

Why so much hate towards Ronaldo? I guess marca is a Spanish newspaper, so I am not surprised. I don't understand what he has done wrong that they decided to write this nonsense. Manu and there fans are not complaining so what is marca business.

They are in pain. You don't see is rival enjoy such media patronage any longer. London is the commercial city center of Europe, and Manchester is home of the classical elites. One can only love CR7 else heart attack and evil thoughts overtook such individuals.

If you are coming from Oshodi, ask for where you can board Lawanson bus, you don't need to cross. From Lawanson bus stop enter bus going to Iponri Costain. You will get that at the Oando filling station in Lawanson tell the driver you alighting at Eko Club, so that should for Adeniran Ogunsanya. The bolded is very important because the Driver may decide to follow Western Avenue and will to enter another bus. Eko Club is few meters from Adeniran Ogunsanya junction of Bode-Thomas Street.

Are you surprised?

We were far more productive in 1980 than we are today

In 1980 the key reasons for economic growth were are as follows:

1) We were a net exporter of refined petroleum products. Today we import all our refined petroleum products.

2) We rode in locally assembled cars, buses and trucks. Peugeot cars in Kaduna and Volkswagen cars in Lagos.

Leyland in Ibadan and ANAMCO in Enugu produced our buses and trucks.

Steyr at Bauchi producing our Agricultural tractors.

And it was not just Assembly, we were producing many of the components.

Vono products in Lagos producing the seats.

Exide in Ibadan producing the batteries, not just for Nigeria but for the entire West Africa.

Isoglass and TSG in Ibadan producing the windshields.

Ferodo in Ibadan producing the brake pads and discs

Tyres produced by Dunlop in Lagos and Mitchelin in Portharcourt.

And I mean tyres produced from rubber plantations located in Ogun and Rivers State.

3) We were listening to Radio and watching television sets assembled in Ibadan by Sanyo.

4) We were using refrigerators, freezers and Airconditioners produced by Thermocool and Debo.

5) We were putting on clothes produced from the UNTL textile mills in Kaduna and Chellarams in Lagos.

Not from imported cotton but from cotton grown in Nigeria.

6) Our water was running through pipes produced by Kwalipipe in Kano and Duraplast in Lagos .

7) Our toilets were fitted with WC produced at Kano and Abeokuta.

cool We were cooking with LPG gas stored inside gas cylinders produced at the NGC factory in Ibadan.

9) Our electricity was flowing through cables produced by the Nigerian wire and Cable, Ibadan, NOCACO in Kaduna and Kablemetal in Lagos and Portharcourt.

10) We had Bata and Lennards producing the shoes we were putting on

Not from imported leather but from locally tanned leather at Kaduna.

11) We were mainly flying our airways, the Nigeria Airways, to most places in the world.

The Airways was about the biggest in Africa at that time.

12) Most of the food we ate were being grown or produced in Nigeria.

We were producing all of the above and more in 1980

Today, we import almost everything.

There lies the source of the terrible exchange rate we are experiencing today and everybody reading this has a critical role to play in reversing this very UGLY trend.

We have been talking about these problems and more for ages...

It is not enough for us to complain about the exchange rate or point out what others are not doing or are failing to do, the key question is what are we producing or what are we planning to produce?

Going forward, it's time to ponder and think of the way forward before it's TOO LATE.

What solutions do you have in mind?

This BMC economic theory is nothing but false. Before B was elected as Nigeria President in 2015 Naira exchange rate to a US Dollar was N195, are you saying Nigeria was more productive during President Jonathan's tenure than during President Muhammad Buhari tenure? So it means PMB first tenure was better than the it now?

PMB bastardized the economy, by destroying the institutional strength of the CBN and other economics determinant agency through nepotism, tribalism, cronyism and ethnic clannishness.
