Well, Dake did a great job of putting forth a complementary view of science and religion against d older perceptions of rivalry between d two.

Going dt way, I will agree wt u abt d dating of d events. Since d "re-creation" only tool place at about 6,000 years ago, wc is about time Egyptians and Aztecs were building mega structures of pyramids.
Thanks.
Any proof of the dating of the Aztec and Egyptian pyramids?

PoliticsRe: Why Do People Hate GEJ? by houvest: 7:25pm On Sep 06, 2011
Thanks OP. If one is afraid of the heat, he must quit the kitchen so criticism of GEJ is not unexpected. However when folks cannot respect their parents, it becomes difficult to respect authority figures. If not why would they not give GEJ the constructive crits he needs. Why the slurs and insults? However as I said before most folks who insult authority figures derive the complex from home; they have no respect for their parents. This complex is manifested in most of their posts as they slur all and every one that disagrees with their views. The problem therefore is more fundamental and does not have only to do with GEJ.
PoliticsRe: Professor Traces Biblical Eden To Nigeria. by houvest: 6:46pm On Sep 06, 2011
I see no contradiction between Acholonu's thesis and the Bible even though the veracity of her thesis still needs to be determined. I believe between Gen1:1 and Gen 1:2 could be eons of years. That gap could be the era of Acholonu's Australopithecus race. I believe that the Heaven and Earth God created in Gen 1:1 was perfect in form as God is perfect and a perfectionist and so the earth must have encountered a serious upheaval to make it to become the 'tohu wabohu' ( without form and void ) of Gen 1:2 . This upheaval I believe was Satan's rebellion that led to the first destruction of earth by God and sentencing satan and his demons to chains of darkness. That gap between the two verses I believe is the age of the creation of angels, and the first humans that may not be perfectly same as the present homo sapients but may be Acholonu's  Australopithecus. Therefore calling Adam the first Man or Homo Sapient is not wrong. The 6 day creation story to me is more or less a re-creation story or rather the creation story of the present Earth with its form and fullness thereof and that of the Adamic race. This could also be the reason God told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth instead of  to 'plenish' it.

PoliticsRe: Fani-kayode Apologises To Ex-president OBJ by houvest: 2:55pm On Aug 26, 2011
OBJ never forgives. He does not pretend about it but may organise a party for you like for late Okadigbo or uses kidnap like in Ngige's case or sends his assasins like in late Bola Ige's case, etc. Also IBB never forgives. He uses his toothy smile and a letter bomb like in Dele Giwa's case, etc. Fani should have known these and let them sort themselves out.

While I appreciate all your strategies here, but y'all do not mention Anyim Pius Anyim as a possible Candidate for PDP, or don't you think all this new power vested on Anyim is to groom him to run for office come 2015, lets consider this Anyim choose a North Central Vice Presidential Candidate will certainly give him the vote.

Can't wait for 2015
Good point Joocko. However, APA needs to step up and play politics. He is too laid back for the politics of the presidency. Okorocha is more visible and has better chances if he goes back to PDP with the stongest political forum in PDP ie the governors forum and if he transforms Imo . However APA is a person that keeps emerging from nowhere when nobody is reckoning with him so It will be folly to wrie him off.

PoliticsRe: Okorocha Flags-off Presidential Campaign - Investigative Journalism Or Trash? by houvest: 8:25pm On Aug 13, 2011
Good to start early as long as he is not distracted from his governance of Imo. The truth is it is the later that will pave way for the former so he dares not compromise the later for the former.Of course he knows that already.
PoliticsRe: Would Chris Ngige Be A Masterstroke??? by houvest: 12:27pm On Aug 13, 2011
And your point is that the scenario has changed or did you end up agreeing with me? SMH. If so, keep dreaming. Those who do not learn from history are condenmned to the same experience.

Ribadu was a big joke that not even the fact that he was flying the ACN flag could win him the SW votes. The fact that the ACN under the leadership of Tinubu settled for Ribadu as against a more porpular candidate from say the east or even Buhari( who was a powerful force to deal with)only goes to show that the mechanism in the ACN for the emergence of its candidates especially, presidential candidate is flawed, parochial and tyrannical. We all were witnesses to the arm-twisting demands that collapsed the possibilities of any serious party alliances. How one man almost single-handedly was making demands on his own terms in the guise of representing the Yoruba tribe, while the main characters involved were rendered "siddon look spectators" in a matter that they would have taken the front seat. At a point, I was having problems differentiating what the party stands for- yoruba political ideals and preservation or a wholistic national democratic principle. ACN will remain an annex of the Afenifere until they learn to handle affairs in a democratic manner that excludes any tribal consideration but emphasize more on national considerations and spread. Decision making wont have to be the sole privilege of one man just because he bankrolls the party.and your point ishuh

PoliticsRe: Ohaneze Plans Reburial Of Civil War Victims by houvest: 12:09pm On Aug 13, 2011
Thanks Onlytruth and all. Dempeople's suggestion about Census is good but the logistics and funding will not be easy. As for politics, Ohaneze cannot forget about politics completely. They should be actively involved in grooming Igbo leaders, advising and guiding them when they assume leadership of Ndigbo and in Nigeria or beyond and step into igbo leadership when there is a vacuum till another leader arises. Telling them to leave politics for IPF appears funny.

CrimeRe: London Riots: Nigerian Remanded For Looting . by houvest: 11:31am On Aug 13, 2011
This is so terribly sad. The most annoying one is the guy that drove into a crowd killing 3 persons and the malaysian student they robbed pretending to help. England really needs to rethink her policies to the youths. Such a looting spree by youths in a so-called first world country leaves nothing to be desired. They are losing their next generation badly.

If so, another feather to his cap. I wish the speaker listed the 150 projects so we can assess them. Rochas is doing excellent but we are also monitoring his moves to make sure that he does not derail. We are not going to be sycophants and hail all his moves as some folks do in other states because we know that the human is not perfect and needs to be kept on his toes.
