Dude I checked Your reference and found no mention of genetic study. What were mentioned are historical, mythological and linguist linkages to Egypt ,Ilaje, Bini and Itsekiri.  Ilaje, Bini and Itsekiri we already know but their claim of Egyptian descent remains to be proved.Again no mention of Ijaw and Urhobo/Isoko.
Were you mistaken in your reference or will you actually descend so low in intellectual dishonesty to score an internet brownie point?

I had to visit this thread again because of certain posts here. Why folks will come out here and say that SS and SE will not join to protest the subsidy removal beats me. Is that what those regions said or have the people saying this suddenly become the mouthpiece of SS and SE? Does protesting against a policy automatically translate to a vote of no confidence against the government. How do folks make these illogical leaps in reasoning?

What the SE/SS will vehemently oppose is efforts to use the protest as an excuse to remove GEJ and believe me if those two zones do not join in the protest, it means that they have realised that the protest is just a ruse for those still mad at GEJ's ascent to power. BESIDE THAT, THERE IS NO REASON FOR THEM NOT TO JOIN THE PROTESTS.

My problem here is that folks who have been mad about GEJ being in power and who even said before the election that a minority is unelectable and that minorities do not have the acumen to rule the Country and those that said they will make the nation ungovernable are the most Vocal opposers of GEJ. This makes it clear that GEJs' 'crimes' is not what they are shouting about  but his origins and their soreness at their candidates losing the election. This background is certainly what folks will remember and that might make them undecided about joining the protest since the real agenda is questionable and this has been confirmed on this thread by some who say that it will be AN OPPORTUNITY for a coup.

The fact is that this is not the first time that fuel prices have been tampered with. OBJ did it severally but nobody talked about using it to depose him. I personally think that the timing of the subsidy removal was wrong. All the goodwill that GEJ garnered from the state of emergency broadcast he seemed to sqaunder a few days later by the subsidy removal. IT IS NOT GOOD TO FIGHT TOO MANY BATTLES AT DIFFERENT FRONTS AT THE SAME TIME BUT ON SECOND THOUGHTS DESPERATE TIMES REQUIRE DESPERATE MEASURES.IT COULD REALLY BE THAT THE ECONOMY IS ABOUT TO FACE A DESPERATE TURN.

However my interpretation of his move no matter how wrongly timed is that it is an invitation to treat. OBJ used the same strategy severally to jerk up fuel price gradually. So this policy I think  is an attempt to re-negotiate the price of fuel with the Nation and It will eventually result to a slight increase not a complete withdrawal of the subsidy. Those who think IT is an opportunity for a coup ARE IN FOR A SURPRISE SINCE IT IS A PLANNED PROGRAMME.

Even though people are sore about the oil subsidy removal, If anything happens to GEJ or his presidency that is not via the ballot box, believe me that will hasten the end of Nigeria as we know it.

Unfortunately , very naive. They don't need to harm GEJ (and I sincerely hope they don't) to take power off him. When the clear identification is made of the 'bogeyman', then everyone is united in forgetting certain things all in aid of removing this 'ogre'. Even recent history showed us how Libyans, Western Nation and the world at large got behind racist rebels controlled by men who have spent their lives in the military like Ghaddafi. No one asked any questions because all agreed Ghaddafi had to go. When all are in agreement, because of suffering everyone can feel with zero "palliatives" in sight, that GEJ has to go, it will be obvious what people power can achieve if harnessed properly.

No one, after circa three months of suffering, for example will hate those who depose GEJ and immediately reinstate subsidy of N240 billion (the original approved NASS figure) limited to the original major marketers while the fraudulent "independent" marketers who swelled subsidy to N1.4 trillions are paraded in public with a clear establishment of how they actually scammed Nigeria, through round tripping, over-invoicing, redirecting locally refined oil back to Nigeria as "imported" fuel. All this done in collaboration with the NNPC controlled by the Petroleum Minister and the Government of the day. There is far too much slackness , the sort to justify all kinds of "desperate actions for desperate times", going on under GEJ. There will be grave reperrcussions.

There are many things I can say about this issue but I refrain untill I know whether it is true or not.

The way I see it the removal will not be done completely. Eventually there will be negotiations and government will pipe down and remove just some of the subsidy not all. No matter how painful or costly economically it is for GEJ, he will not want to fight so many battles at different fronts at the same time. By the time Labour cripples the economy, Government will come to negotiate as OBJ did. I think that Govt strategy is to aim at the sky and fall at the roof. The restlessness in the Nation coupled with the BH and other issues make it difficult for the govt to be rigid about this issue

Pointed point. I agree with all the pontifications, but it falls short. What do you want GEJ to give BH and their sponsors before they are assuaged, the Presidency? Clearly that is what the whole unrest is about. ACN and the rest of the opposition should come out boldly and call for SNC or confederation orv worse as the lasting solution. No beating about the bush about this.

the extra votes were actually added for onlytruth, i checked the polls daily to ensure they were locked and not visible to members,

i monitored it because we all know how low some people can get, just so they can say they won.

Gbawe was always leading uptil  last night before  a member created the cork series username,gbawe was leading with close to 30 votes and all of a sudden onlytruth got 20 more votes in 15 mins. I realised what was going on and i locked it, that was like an hour before the actual polls expired.

Its for fun but some people had to  try something just for ordinary forum award.

Good that you have started revealing classified information. Now please do us the favour of declassifying the whole thing. Post all the votes by whom and from what ip as well as the  date the moniker was created to stem the controversy you yourself have helped inflame. Nigeria does not exist in a vaccum - the sooner we realise this the better, Igbos were used as the scape goats to prevent a nationalist movement in nigeria, the northerners were given the power and the military might by britain  that is a fact taht illiterates like Beaf can not come to terms with, stating this fact does not mean that one is kow towing to the north it is simply a recognition of reality.  Nzeogwu/Ifeajuna's nationalist coup was unsuccessful because the northerners were led to beleive that the igbos had an ulterior motive - to cease power from them and usurp their position - THIS WAS A HUGE LIE.  

The fact of the matter is that we are now faced with an islamic sect that has been hijacked and usurped by external forces and this sect is hell bent on triggering a war between north and south we should not allow ourselves to fall victim to a repeat of the biafra/nigeria civil war in which 3 million igbos lost their lives needlessly.

Good points here but ascribing BH activities to external forces is a cop-out. BH is clearly an agenda against GEJ and an attempt by the core North to make a stake for Aso Rock come 2015 if there is still a Nigeria.   I AGREE THAT BEAF'S PANACEA IS A LITTLE EXTREME AND WOULD BE A CALL FOR A COUP AND EVENTUALLY WAR BUT HE IS ENTITLED TO HIS OPINIONS. WHAT FOLKS SHOULD COME UP WITH IS THERE OWN SOLUTION IF THEY DO NOT AGREE WITH BEAF. I HAVE ALREADY SAID MINE. Northern elements severally said it that they will make Nigeria ungovernable if GEJ won the election and this they are carrying out through BH.
