Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Govt To Prosecute Escapee N-power Volunteers In 2017 by hoyze24: 8:54am On May 25, 2017
Na only 17 you see, about 30 percent are receiving stipends without working while about 20% are actually doing it part time. Ask people in agro. The money spent on this scheme could have been used for something more engaging like industries resuscitation or as loans to budding entrepreneurs. Majority of volunteers are in for the money and not the work or value. The scheme was just to fulfil electoral promises, it wasn't planned and I doubt it will ever meet its expectation.

Nigerian Celebrities: Celebrities always seem to have these amazing strong genes pass on to their kids. Most of the time, their children are the decisive image of them and it looks like a repeat of a circle as they also follow their foot mothers walk. Here is a compilation of the mother-daughter duo that we love next. enter the link below to see Nigerian Celebrity Mums And Their hot Beautiful Daughters

This will hardly make people click on your site. Your caption is great and it mentioned seven celebrities and I was anticipating who the no 1 would be. I was surprised to find the page blank. You could have posted 7, 6 and 5 here and share the link to your website for others. Trust me, that no 1 is key and people would want to know who the celeb is. Everyone would have gotten something for their clicks but as it is, looks like I wasted my time checking. Goodluck.

Ahmadu Bello University
I've heard so much about the school, especially its popularity among northerners. Haven't heard or read any thing on its researches lately though.

[quote author=awelekiti post=51866298] The Premier University, of course.
Your assessment is probably based on years of existence. Name 3 alumni and I'll think about it.

Harvard university is without doubt one of the best universities in the world. Founded in 1636;it's the oldest higher institution of learning in the USA. It is well known for its big endowment funds and high grade researches carried out in the fields of sciences. Its medical and law schools are the most coveted in the world. Among its vast alumni are eight presidents of the USA, Microsoft and Facebook founders and hosts of great entrepreneurs within and outside the United states as well as notable scientists. Back here In Nigeria, there are over a hundred universities; government owned and private. Which can be compared with Harvard in our local sphere? Basis for comparison should be quality of researches, number of professors, alumni, facilities and honors.

Just save the website na, ctrl + s.
Or copy and paste the codes and intructions into notepad., save for later use.
A 3 year old would do that and i would have to open every page in this case. I'm actually talking about downloading everything on the website such that links from the homepage would work offline.

There's definitely an aspect you're best at that you haven't discovered. This might be due to frustrations when things don't work out it's the least thing you wanna see yourself do the most. Think about this.

Met a dude recently who told me it's possible to download the entire content of a website for offline use. This will be very helpful especially with tutorial based sites. I need answers regarding the application(s) that can be used for this. I understand it can only be done on pc.
Career / Where To Get Real And Current Job Openings. by hoyze24: 5:41pm On Sep 25, 2016
I'd been in the dark lately as to the mails I get concerning job openings. I actually subscribed to a particular website to send me openings related to my field. All I'd gotten of late are vacancies that were advertised last year or very early in the year. I really want to unsubscribe asap cos they fill my mails with junk messages but I need people to share with me sites that post openings that are current and real. Over to you nlanders.
Nairaland / General / Nigerians Must Get Better. by hoyze24: 10:52am On Aug 17, 2016
Nigeria: The only country we can truly call our own. The nation is currently fazed with numerous challenges ranging from insecurity to mass unemployment, devaluation crisis, militancy in oil producing regions, corruption to mention a few. I would have loved to include bad governance but these problems could only be found in a badly governed nation. Despite these challenges which has hit the majority of the populace so hard, some Nigerians are still flourishing outside government budget, startups are everywhere and opportunities keep abounding by the day. With a population of over 150 million, multicultural, multi-religious and hardworking citizenry, we don't deserve to be in this mess. Whatever happened to the saying that with more challenges come more opportunities to succeed. A time like this to me seems the best for Nigerians especially young minds to hit the bull's eye and take it by the horn. It's obvious past administrations have failed to deliver one-tenth of electoral promises since inception of democracy, the present one doesn't seem to be any good as well. All we'd seen is unemployment rate getting high like it's on weed and more dependence on oil as the only source of revenue despite its crashing price in the international market. I can go on and on mentioning how things had gotten worse with our nation but let's not dwell on that, we're made for better things. The point I'm driving at is that I want youths to stop thinking about what government would do for them And focus on how value can be added to the country through them, I know this might not go down well with a lot of people. I'm not unaware that things are hard and conditions are not enabling but think of the many Nigerians making things happen still, this should be enough source of motivation. If we could all be persistent in whatsoever we find ourselves doing, then a better Nigeria is just about to emerge. We'll become better individuals. START SOMETHING TODAY INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THAT WHITE COLLAR JOB THAT MIGHT NEVER COME, even the government preach this. Learn a skill, start a trade or enrol for a training course. Starting is definitely the hardest part, ensure whatsoever you're into is value oriented. Think of ideas that can make that neighbour's life better and work on It, people faraway will require your services soon. Finally, I would urge more youths to come into agriculture which I'm currently into and doing well. Channel those ideas into this sector and you'll forever thank me.
