Your opening balance should be the seating amount you have in your account as at the date you start the printout of your statements and the current or closing balance is available amount at the end of your statement . Example if request your statement today and state your printout should start from 23 January to date your opening balance should be the credit balance at as 23 January and your closing balance should be your current balance as at today. Then the total debit an credit balance is the inflow and outflow for the period you requested fo the printout of your statement of account.Let not confuse ourselves here

Exactly, the complete checklist is needed for those who needs assistance services. In my case I printed all pages and they took only last page which is signatory page beacuse i am self service applicant other pages are where those assistant service applicant will tick the documents they will upload at the center.

No you will not need it just go with your appiontment printout, photocopy of your passport data page, print your checklist last page and your international passport

I just got a refusal letter from UKVI today.

Reason was: You have applied to enter the UK for 15 days for the purpose of tourism, I
acknowledge the documents you have submitted from your sponsors. However it is
your personal circumstances which is paramount in assessing your application.
You state that you are employed earning an annual income of 9,500,000 NGN
(£18,050). In support of your application you have provided documents in relation to
your company ……LTD, However these documents do not demonstrate that your
business is actively trading at the level of income you have declared on your
application,
You state that you will personally spend 700.000 NGN (£1,330) on your visit 1o the
UK. In support of you finances you have provided copies of your personal bank
statement which shows deposits that are not in line with what you have declared on
your application. Combined with the concerns raised regarding your employment, I
am not satisfied that your circumstances are as you have presented, leading me to
doubt your intention to visit the UK at this time.
• In light of the above, I am not satisfied that you intend leave the UK at the end of your
visit or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Therefore your application is
refused under paragraphs V4.2 (a) & (c) of Appendix V.

At the bolded there are confusion in the letter, it mention your sponsor at the same time mentioned you personal support yourself for the trip. can you explain better.

I did biometrics with my family on the 17th of May and our application right now is on the stage "application received by DMC".
The problem now is that we need to send our passports to Canada before June 20th for stamping and I'm at a loss at what to do.

What do you advice? to withdraw the application or wait it out? Is there a possibility that the application can be finalized before our Canada deadline?

Type of application is standard visit visa, 6 months for 6 people, first time applicants

you should have requested keep my passport option since you have Canada application. your UK visa will not be ready by 20th June deadline for Canada. I am still waiting for my passport, did biometric since 21st April never heard anything from UKVI till date. Is better you don't miss the canada visa because of UK embassy delay.

My background: My parents and siblings have been in the uk for years(30)
My husband got a uk masters offer March this year( before my visa application) . He didn’t pay the deposit because we were looking at the funds involved ( if it’s worth spending that much money for a year program).
Now, he has decided to pay the tuition deposit and go for the program with our children and I as his dependents.
The issue; hope my previous refusal will not hinder his application (this is his first time applying to any embassy ,same for my children too, because he wants us to apply as a family.
Can my application be refused because I’m a full time mom for now (trying to setup a business)and my recent refusal was May ( hope it won’t look somehow? Though, he got the offer letter before I even applied for the visit visa).
My children are aged 2+, 6years.
The university he is going to is in the town where my family reside, hope this won’t count against the application too? My lack of family ties in Nigeria.

You do not need your fathers bank statement since he is not the one sponsoring you, his invitation letter is okay since your main purpose purpose of travel is to visit him. you will need his bank statement only if he is the one sponsoring the trip

Na long story, he first collect self content in EFCC prison then he spend millions with the help of his brother who work in oil company, it took long to settle the matter finally.
I almost fall victim when someone want to use my business account to move illegal money from NDDC with offer of some percentage out of the millions they want to move. I remember what happened to my friend. Unfortunately they will not tell you the implementation and when it happen you are on your own .

I tried transferring money from my GTB account only to get error messages.

I thought it was network or app issues.

I tried several times from then till next day but same response.

I tried buying airtime but it failed too.

I now contacted the bank and they said account is restricted/frozen; that I should visit a branch.

I called account officer and he confirmed the restrictions but gave no reason for that.

He was just evasive but hinted that restrictions were placed by law enforcement agency. No agency specifically was mentioned.

I tried UBA and Zenith too, similar restrictions yet no reason.

I use the accounts for legit businesses online and have had them since over 14 years, so can't say with certainty what the issue is.

How do I handle this now as going to the banking hall might lead to arrests etc, so I need to be prepared.

I need suggestions please.

For all your accounts to be frozen not just one bank then you are in big trouble
EFCC is after you , is either you have given someone account to move illegal money and collect your share out of it or as you are doing online business that involve illegal transactions.
This happened to someone I know and he suffered in the hands of EFCC.
Let you lawyer write to the bank first before reporting yourself

I guess why it takes that long is because you didn’t get official email to drop your passport at TLS, you went there on your own to drop the passport after sending paid mail and got a decision have been made response according to you.

Invitation letter and attestation from Local government
France hardly give visa based on individual invitation and I will advise you to just apply as tourist using hotel booking and package your application well when you get to france you will still be with the person .

It depends on what you stated you are traveling for . If you mention you’re traveling for an event you need to appear on the date they stated for you because you should have return by the according to the information you supply on your application but if you are traveling for vacation is possible the date might change so go to embassy whenever you return and explain to them you have change of plan and travel date change as result of that. The most important is to return and not to over stay your visa. No big deal
