ahhh now you are moving the goal after you found out you are wrong lolzzz. well i suggest you go look at the meaning of speculative in the dictionary. speculative means ' guess ' . so the game of SHARES is a guess game. it can rise and it can crash. if it crashes your billion dollar networth can vanish overnight. this why zuckerberg lost billions of dollars a few years ago cuz facebook shares tanked.

well to have speculative worth you need to be a business and you need to have gone public and people bought shares. then an outside auditor will come and determine your net worth and this net worth is like a combination of assets and liquid cash and speculative potential earnings based on the population of the country you are operating in. and if something crazy happens like a landlside submerges half of the population of that country and your customer base reduces ? then your net worth is reduced. so techinically nobody goes around counting how much billionaires have in order to determine their net worth because its an impossible task. many of them dont even know how much they really have. but the net worth is like a credit score for the rich. the higher your net worth the greater chance of getting loans. you think mark zuckerberg really is worth billions ? what does he produce ? nothing. he just has a platform that connects the world. so his net worth is based on speculative income and all the shares that people bought when his company went public

I respected and still respect you...but for this night, you need to stop smoking your sh1t, then go-to Coursera and take a business course ..seriously

You're still my G from afar tho

Lol.... You carefully ensured that you captured only the part with "Samsung Galaxy".... Wtf do you think you're doing?
*Modified
Well, like the dude above said, international versions of Samsung devices are usually much better than the USA-only versions.... For example the USA-only S7's use Snapdragon 820...international versions use Exynos.

So you'd probably have been better off with a version of your device available in Nigeria.

International versions are not better per se.. The reason they use different chipsets is because of the radio (network) support. Some chipsets support only some network bands.

I bought this tab on amazon. I must confess, I haven't seen its match in Nigeria, both in functionality and battery life. Not until I checked its package and saw this...

American versions have specific basebands and permits only some bands of networks .

Eg a HTC One m8 LTE made for the US (at&t or Verizon)
Will not have 4g LTE if used in Nigeria.

That's why I'm sorry for folks who buy American specs phone and run into problems with 3g or 4g here.

There is something you should know. Gionee produces more quality smartphones when compared to other China smartphone companies.
Their phones are up to the standard of that of Samsung.
The presence of mediatek is one the reasons a common man can afford a Gionee brand.

Of course I know that. Gionee makes some of their phones with Qualcomm snapdragon processors and the lower end ones with mediatek .
Some of their snapdragon phones can compete with flagships.

Properties / Re: Lawyer condemns new Lagos law legalising ‘foundation fee’ by hUmaneOne: 11:21am On Aug 26, 2016

This levy is collected in most parts of southern Nigeria. After purchasing the land, they will not allow you start foundation works except you pay a levy, which costs between 100k-250k in Benin. Each floor you want to deck is paid for. At roofing stage you make payment. You pay for fencing & pay another amount to drill a borehole in your house & they harass you as if you are in Libya where anything goes because there is no government. This is authorised stealing approved by government. Most governments are afraid to check this act because of possible backlash during election. The individuals terrorise land owners & force them to stop work until their demands are met. In this civilised world?

Properties / Lawyer condemns new Lagos law legalising ‘foundation fee’ by hUmaneOne: 4:43pm On Aug 25, 2016
A Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Yemi Omodele, has described as exploitative and obnoxious Section 11(1) of the newly passed Lagos State Properties Protection Law, which, he said, had now legalised collection of “foundation fee” by land-owning families in the state.

The law was signed by the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on August 15, primarily to prohibit the activities of land grabbers in the state.

However, Omodele, who addressed the press over the weekend, said with all its merits, the law had been flawed with the insertion of the clause under Section 11(1) that land-owning families were entitled to demand “foundation fee” from buyers after the buyer must have made full payment of the land purchase price.

The lawyer, who contended that the right of a land-owning family expires the moment it sells the land, said insertion of Section 11(1) legalising “foundation fee” is against the rule of natural justice, equity and good conscience.

He therefore called for the repeal or total removal of that portion of the law, saying it is capable of breeding a new wave of trouble in the state.

Omodele said, “That clause, which is included in that Section 11(1), which says: The provision of this section shall not be interpreted to preclude land-owning families, under the authorisation of the family head, to demand customary fee for possession (in the name of foundation level) from buyers, if that clause of the law is to be interpreted stricto censo, it means that the land-owning families are entitled to be collecting foundation fee and the conclusion I drew from it is that collection of foundation fee is now legalised in Lagos State.

“That clause, with due respect to the lawmakers, the incumbent Governor and the attorney-general, should be repealed or totally expunged. Once a family sells a piece of land, it has no right on that land again; its right has been extinguished; its right has been vacated as far as that land is concerned.

“When somebody has sold his interest on a land, he’s not entitled to anything in respect of that land any more. So, for the land-owning family to be collecting foundation fee or customary fee or possession fee is uncalled for. It amounts to exploitation, it amounts to duping, it amounts to duplication of payment.”

The lawyer also observed that the section of the law is not specific as to how much the said “foundation fee” should be and how many times it would be paid.

He added, “The implication of this Section 11(1) is that if Mr. A buys a plot of land today and he decides to sell it to Mr. B tomorrow; Mr. A had paid foundation fee before, Mr. B will also be expected to pay foundation if he decides to pull down the building. Now, payment of foundation fee here as stated, there is no specification as to the sum to be paid; whether one per cent or two per cent, it is not stated. For not stating it here, it leaves the buyer is abeyance, which means that if someone buys a piece of land for N100m, the land-owning family can come and say our foundation fee is N200m. The buyer doesn’t have any option but to pay it because they will now refer him to Section 11(1) of the Lagos State law that prohibits illegal occupation and taking over of properties by violence.”

The lawyer said the insertion of Section 11(1) made it appear as if those who drafted the law were from land-owning families in Lagos State and made the provision to generate fund for their families.

“I draw the attention the entire legal-minded persons in the country to this Section 11(1), to read it critically, with a view to approaching the necessary forum, particularly court, so that this particular clause that empowers the land-owning families to be collecting what is known as “foundation levy” can be set aside,” Omodele said.

smh idiota I learn python there not this am telling you sumtin all the things your saying ll not help, the solution is to upgrade to 5.1
Python is the simplest stuff out there.

The reason 5.1 upgrade makes it better is simply the permission structure that changed and is hardened
If your phone is rooted in 4.4 ,you can still effect the changes.

Tecno poor ROM, yes but @bolded No no no!!!! Why is it ONLY Glo sim that have no control over my GPS? Other sims work fine.

https://www.nairaland.com/3135384/glo-nigeria-spying-us#46107599

You're right.. It's the way the Glo magicplus runs on some devices.
Sim tool kit apps can operate in 2 modes, dedicated mode and raw mode.

Most poorly built roms from tecno etal do not make the proper changes hence the magicplus connects erratically..
Sometimes the app even sends a free sms when the phone is immediately turned on.

Remove that sim and put in a Samsung or HTC phone. those GPS issues won't come on .

Blame the dull Android build and not Glo. Magicplus is the most sophisticated stk app I've ever seen in Nigeria.

I'm out

Bro, go and find Tecno H5 and see what happens. OP is right. After all settings, it comes back on after just 2min
You're right about the problem on tecno ..
Tecno has had plenty issues on their phone software .
I had to build my own rom some years ago before I could enjoy a borrowed tecno.
It's a software permission thingy from the stk application (the sim tool kit aka magic plus underlay) and affects some MTK phones as well.
It's not under glo's control but results from poor software build issues

Mmmm, OK aside My GPS issue with Glo, no issue with Glo at all. But I want you to know today that it is only Glo that turns my GPS on. Other sim asks for my permission if there is any need to.

As for mobdro, mine works with all networks.

I even confronted them once but I was told ”we are sorry about that, we going to resolve it”

Meaning you've granted GPS permissions to an app to use Glo. Simply revoke it

Mobdro doesn't work with gkoflat apn
It also doesn't work with mtn apn with proxy
