European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: The Origin Of The European Super League Idea - Naptu2 by humberjade: 5:21am On Apr 22, 2021
Instead of doing the needful by investing enough in their teams to ensure they are good enough to always qualify for major tournaments, they want to cut corners. Now I see why Arsenal in particular joined.

Kroenke has no genuine plans for the club in terms of competing with the best and winning trophies, all he's after is his pocket at the detriment of the fans.

Serves him right that the whole idea already hit the rock...maybe by the time Arsenal becomes a constant mid-table team; consequently bringing forth low revenues and drop in value...maybe he will sell the club to a more ambitious person; a real lover of the round leather game or sit up.

Nawa ooo

Why is this man still wasting his money? Well he must still have enough in his reserves from the contributions he got for his two ill-fated shots at the Governorship seat, and the money he moved while in the govt.

because to me, his case doesn't hold water...except maybe some guys up North are backing him to go for it to get back at Akeredolu for having the effrontry to arrest cows and herders.

Won't be surprised if he approaches the Appeal court next....Clown grin

If this should come to fruition....considering the format and the way Arsenal does transfer business, one can only come to the conclusion that Arsenal will not win any European tournament in the foreseeable future...this season is the last chance for the club. grin grin grin
Travel › Re: Have you Ever Missed Your Flight Due To Lagos Traffic? Share Your Experience by humberjade:
Almost...Got held up on Lagos-Ibadan expressway for hours...took two bikes with my brother and my two giant travel bags to escape the heavy traffic, and then hired a cab.

Got to the airport 5 minutes late, but was denied entry into to the airline's corner...I did a whole lot of pleading with the Qatar Airways staff...even others joined me, but the pleas fell on deaf ears.

I was however able to board without my luggage because I had earlier checked in online...I had to cough over 200 euro to post my luggage few days later.

Funny enough, my dad kept shouting that morning, "let's get moving son...remember that Lagos traffic is unpredictable"...but deep down I was like "calm down dad...sebi it's just Abk to Lag...time still dey"

My village people tried all they could to stop the journey, they even employed me to shoot myself in the foot...but God pass them. grin

Lesson learnt the hard way...never gonna happen again...the stress I put myself and everyone that went to Lag with me that day through ehn...chai

Chai, Xhaka don die...wetin this boy go do am ehn, mouth no go fit talk...grin

It will be a very interesting match to watch...but with Laca, Tierney and Auba out, Arsenal will need loads of luck to scale thru.

Arsenal should still be careful and not get carried away. This na still first half no be second half
They need 4 goals now without Arsenal scoring any...although I have seen Arsenal squander a 4 goal lead against Newcastle b4, but I doubt if they can be that foolish this time around.

But with Arsenal, anything is possible...a very scary team grin

Very hilarious...who doesn't know that LG elections in Nigeria are simply another platform Govs use to dish out political appointments to their loyalists. grin grin

And they keep shouting LG autonomy upandan...nothing changes about our moribund LG areas until INEC starts conducting LG elections, and the FG starts paying directly into LG accounts. Govs just feed fat on those allocations.

Okorocha the oracle...you are doing well sir...the Supreme Court gov too should eat the humble pie and ask for help...grin

But uncle Okoro sef should just write an open letter to the Governor detailing his solution to the problem facing his people. Because Uzo (SCG) would rather everywhere burns than seek Okoro's counsel. grin

With Arsenal's form this season, nothing is certain...they are a delight to watch in two games, and the next four they look like a team bereft of ideas...grin

Facing a giant slayer like Slavia is gonna be very tricky...but I am gonna watch the match like I expect them to lose, if they win, we celebrate. That's the best way to have a healthy heart and stay alive as a diehard Arsenal fan. grin

The I G was with the vice President in Imo state when he was removed & replace with a new IG.
That means the Vice President was not even aware of the plan to change the IG and it is demeaning to the VP
They have managed to turn Osinbajo to VP academics and visitations...it still doesn't change the fact that he will 100 times make a better President than Buhari

Oshokalo:
if tinubu become president him go just dey build tollgate everywhere in Nigeria
Although I am not supporting him to be President...if tollgates would ensure we have durable roads across the length and breath of the country, why not.

I would rather pay toll fees on durable roads than travel on the death traps called roads we are displaying.

That's why I don't travel past Ogun, Oyo, and Lagos on Nigerian roads...and that's simply because I have no choice...most naija roads are death traps cry
Politics › Re: It’s Now Buhari’s Turn To Support Tinubu For 2023, Say Ondo Monarchs by humberjade: 7:13am On Apr 07, 2021
I still keep repeating it, supporting Tinubu to become President is like planning to return power to the North in few years time...I mean, from all indications BAT doesn't look healthy enough to lead an ailing country like Nigeria.

Why can't he just support one of his political sons to run...like Osinbajo?

Must we continue to support defective people to lead this country? A country where an healthy President doesn't guarantee a positive turn around, not to talk of an ailing one...truly people deserve the kinda leaders they have.
Politics › Re: Ogun Inaugurates Arepo Journalists Estate Road Reconstruction by humberjade: 5:14am On Apr 06, 2021
Issokay...inauguration is different from commissioning a road...in the Nigerian context, such roads might never see the light of the day...it is only in Nigeria we witness a let of fanfare for the award of contract for road construction and it's inauguration...for a road that might never be commissioned oo. grin grin

A case of giving a dog a bad name in order to have the moral standing to hang him...it is the modus operandi of this administration.

You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. Continue, the chickens will soon come home to roost.

Fighting so many battles in so many fronts with limited resources and manpower...very ill-advised administration

Wisdom is profitable to direct

Pele oo, Fisherman...how many of the blood sucking demons called Fulani herdsmen have you COWED out?

When it comes to issues with Southern Nigeria, culprits are very easy to identify and pursued with vigour...but when it repeatedly happens in the North, they are termed Bandits or Gunmen...who are 'to be' investigated and arrested...Ndi ara

They are calling these people thieves yet they are playing with a stolen baby goat...they are accusing this govt of playing the sectionalism card, yet they are making it so obvious...is it that top decision makers in this administration are plain stupid or just calling our bluff?

Builder or 'organizer.'
cheesy cheesy cheesy

We know that he didn't manufacture the parts, but he must have added some technical knowledge to it nah, you can't just couple the various parts together and get it going just like that.

I know someone who did same, but with his, you can still pedal if you want, and he didn't added all these heavy engines to it.

Nice one...at least if engine spoil you fit put pedal continue your journey....
But it will become extremely harder to pedal...I have used electric bicycles...you don't want the bicycle running outta power while u are out there...especially hilly routes...na die grin

Plus the thing no even get pedal

And this particular one go heavy die. grin

Kudos to the builder
