It was the day tuition fee was increased and I got angry and decided to challenge the school authority....the whole student backed me up but I never knew it was fake support. All of them graduated and my own result was seized for speaking out against what I perceived as injustice. ...That result was seized for good one year and none of the students called to ask how I am doing ....one day I met one of the students and he was laughing at my condition ....he said , old boy...you go done dey work for chevron by now.....I was embarrass by that statement cos I expect those with result to 've gotten a job not me without result. My joy came the very day I was called to come pick up my result....my HOD sat ,me down and told me a story I cannot forget in a hurry....if you want the story mention me and I will give u the story
the story please...thanks

Well, quitting the WAFU and CHAN is just making the NFF shy away from their responsibility which is developing our league. I believe if our league are better funded and organised, we can be an unstoppable force in any competition.
not just developing the league but also employ a more competent coach amongst the indigenous coaches....
you and I know...that Imama is not among the most competent indigenous coaches we have got...likewise Aigbogun.

This word is flung around here too much.

What does average mean?
please don't mind him...
that Barcelona group so far look like one of the strongest .......

Slave Prague...is so good, they really play Barcelona yesterday and were not timid.

I think it is high time we stop judging players by the club/league they plays....I will prefer invite a player from Slava Prague than Lille OSC to be honest....
(just trying to explain why players in such league shouldn't be ignored a because it is not too 5 league in europe)

for Yinka to play for that team and he is the only black player in the starting 11 self...shows that he is talented and rated higher...
that team is good to be honest and Yinka deserve to always fetch super eagles call ups.

he even had a great attempt at goal...and almost scored self...
even against inter he worked the ball that birth the assist and thereafter scored...

We need to flood NFF's social media accounts to force them to quit WAFU and CHAN. It's a huge waste of resources and it hasn't yielded any results for our main team. Instead, a B team should just be deployed to face lesser nations and serve as a feeder to our main team.
just imagine what you wrote...
for a country of 200M people not being able to assemble a team that will dominate Africa football is a huge shame and disgrace.

what a pity... better flood that page demanding for IMAMA sack because I can stick my nose to the ground...give IMAMA the super eagles...he'll still fail to qualify for mere afcon and latter apportion the blame on the players and thereafter blame mother luck for not showing up.

this are tournaments even Salisu Yusuf and Late Keshi used for our favour....

Nigeria has an under 13 and under 15 program, already. What you are proposing will not go far enough.

The most important thing to do for the development of local talents is having professionally run football teams in our league.

Imagine if all the league teams have well coached/structured academies. You will kill age cheating and export good talent.

Alternatively, we can establish a national under 16 league with players required to pass MRI tests and show their school certificates.

This can be done zonally and then a super 6 in Abuja or Uyo.

Talents from across the country will be found and it will even help national team coaches.
exactly we can start from there..... but the problem lies in the fact...that this indigenous coaches and football administrators will barely engage in any programs where money does not grease palms...
and more over we have a bad maintenance culture in this country... starting this programs is not the problem but continuation is the issue at astake

Did you read develop football in Nigeria?

The under 17 is minute to the kind of exports we could have if we focused on correcting the ills in our local football.

By the way, Rohr is not doing anything special that an indigenous coach wouldn't have done. He is just overhyped because he is white .
sir you mean indigenous coaches like imama? ??
c'mon Rohr is miles ahead of that guy .

in transparency and even tactically.

rohr have been slightly fair like 60-70% in players selection I doubt we'll ever achieve that with an indigenous coach

Ex Nigeria U17 Goalkeeper Could Gatecrash Super Eagles Squad For AFCON Qualifiers After Impressing In Israel

As coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr continue his search for more options in goal for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to abate the goalkeepers crisis rocking the team, former Nigeria U17 goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye is one of the options available.

With regular first choice of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Uzoho injured, Rohr has expanded his search for new goalkeepers to make up for his absence with just Maduka Okoye and Ikechukwu Ezenwa the only options available to him as the coach appears to have closed the door on Daniel Akpeyi despite his recent fine form for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa.

19 year old Adeleye plays for second division Isreal side Hapoel Katamon, who are third on the table and so far he has played in all of their league games this season with three clean sheets to his name.

Rohr has reportedly posted his scouts to watch the goalkeeper and if the reports turns out to be positive he will be called up to the team for upcoming AFCON 2021 Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively.

A member of the 2017 Under-17 team of Nigeria that failed to qualify for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations and subsequently the World Youth Championship, he has grown in leaps and bound since arriving Israel a year ago.

His move to the country where legendary Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama started his career abroad was facilitated by Israeli agent David Ouziel and the player rose through to the youth ranks to the first team.

Culled from Owngoal Nigeria

Update: QPR Ebere Eze Doesn’t Need FIFA Clearance To Play For Nigeria Despite Representing England U20
Per the rules governing the eligibility of a player to play for another country without requiring FIFA’s permission to switch, QPR Ebere Eze doesn’t need to go through the process if he decide to play for the Super Eagles, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
This portal yesterday ran a story base on reports from the side of coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr who insisted that the player need his switch of allegiance to be confirmed by FIFA before he is eligible to play for Nigeria after representing England at U20 level.
The report is however not true as Eze, who is viewed as one of the best midfielders in the English Championship represented England in a friendly tournament organised by the German FA and not UEFA as posted by this portal yesterday.
Eze has played seven matches for the U20 of England, four in the 8 team Elite League competition organised by the German FA and three in friendly games. He has twice made the bench in FIFA/UEFA organised tournament but didn’t get to play.

A line from the guidelines by FIFA for players switch of allegiance stated clearly that a player will require approval to switch nationality only if he has played in an official tournament, the section is quoted below.
Principle of National Team Eligibility
Article 5.1 states: “Any person holding a permanent nationality that is not dependent on residence in a certain country is eligible to play for the representative teams of the association of that country.” The terms of this rule prevent temporary residents who are not otherwise citizens of the relevant country being considered eligible.

Article 5.1 further adds: “…any player who has already participated in a match (either in full or in part) in anofficial competition of any category or any type of football for one association may not play an international match for a representative team of another association.” The term “official competition” refers to matches played for representative teams in competitions organised by FIFA or any confederation (i.e. not friendly games).

Therefore it’s safe to say if Eze requires any form of switch before playing for Nigeria it won’t be tedious and time consuming like the case was with Ola Aina which took twelve months but it will be like that of Alex Iwobi whose switched was done swiftly because he only played for England youth team at friendly level.
I think Chriskels is right....
this man is not that clean...

wish NFF can pay a good foreign coach we would have gone for someone like arsene Wenger even if it is not possible but someone obviously better than this old German that has no clue

the NFF and the coaches are the primary reason why we loose this boys...

I made a tweet on the NFF page citing the need for the NFF to get Tammy and co play for the super eagles... could you believe Tammy liked that twitt...I can't remember if he tweeted it though. and I check very well it was his verified account.....

export talents abroad..... and get some cut from their signings you mean huh
if that is what you mean they're on course...doing a great job.

they're currently using the under 17 for that... read how the arsenal prodigy was dropped while some suspectd names made the list.... well should they employ an indigenous coach for the super eagles...that day I will give myself a break from a being a fan...

even now that the average rohr is the coach we are still having issues with the team selection...let alone when a Nigerian becomes coach.. with the meagre salary that does not flow always dude may wanna market players for some dollar notes and also make questionable call ups...

The pertinent issue is not club form vs National team form.

But it's more about the style of play and player attributes that complement that style. Some players have attributes that are excellent for a particular style of play and lack the capcity to adapt to a different style.

That's why a player may excel in one league but flop in another.
so you know this huh

This is extremely low
I cant walk my head round this.

Nigeria can never grow if everyone think like this.

I will pass
it doesn't occur to you...that a Nigerian who leaves the shores of the country to go hurstle abroad or born and brought up abroad...

can still return to make meaningful contributions to the country's growth and development?

must you live in Nigeria to contribute to Nigeria's growth....in the long run.

if you look well the present governor of Edo state worked and lived in the US prior returning to the country to serve in the last government and now he is a governor likewise Donald Duke of Cross River...

they're opportunities you'll never get living in Nigeria except you're connected....presently only the SP was given 26 slots in FIRS recruitment exercise yet to be announced imagine how many the presidency and others were given?

that tells you.... jobs and many sugar opportunities in Nigeria are reserved for connected folks which is not same abroad...

all they need from you in the US and UK is to be competent and good at your job...

my cousin told me that at a time the No. 1 health worker in Italy was an Ibo man I doubt that will ever happen in Nigeria... tribalism and fAvouritism will deprive him of such....
moreover you must have seen how many Nigerians have attained heights abroad they won't have even come close to had it been they were in Nigeria....

please never again discourage anyone who has the opportunity to leave Nigeria from living.... if you care enough tell them to always have Nigeria in mind and do sure return to contribute their quarter in making Nigeria great again......

if you read news very well... you will know that foreign exchange remittal from Nigerians abroad in the space of last year exceeds the revenue made from many core channels......
