Hello everyone. Pls how do I withdraw my Italy Tourist visa application and get my passport immediately? I don't want again. They have frustrated me for no reason and they can keep their stupid Visa and just send me my passport as I need to travel to the U.S on a work assignment. They can't keep treating people this way. I applied since the 17th of September at the TLS office in Abuja. I am a frequent international traveller and I have a 5-year U.S. Visa and 10-Year U.K Visa, so I am not looking to japa and hide in their country. I applied for a 1-week single entry visa because I had some free time and just wanted to visit Italy for the first time in October for a week as I saw flight tickets were affordable. I included everything in my application - CAC documents, personal tax certificate, travel itinerary, flight and accommodation booking, health insurance, a healthy personal bank statement of mid 6-figures in USD and 7 figures in cumulative inflow and outflow over the past 6 months. I have been to Switzerland in the past so I'm not a first timer in the Schengen area. They have still held on to my passport for more than 30 business days. I have called them, they don't pick up. I have sent like 10 emails in the past 5 days to their Abuja and Lagos embassies and copied the Lagos visa email address, telling them to send back my passport, that they should keep their visa, they still haven't responded. I'm supposed to go to Houston this weekend. What do I do? I'm almost losing my mind. These f*cktards are holding me and my passport hostage. Pls help.

Dear Member, I understand how you feel but please be calm and read how to go about this.

1. Stop sending mails. Visit the submission center and make a formal compliant.

Your visit can be in person or by proxy.

2. Be careful how you handle issues of this nature, it's withdrawal of passport not like any other thing is involved.

3. Another thing you can do is write the embassy directly by post.

Let me explain that. Draft a withdrawal letter then copy Lagos and Abuja .

Use DHL to deliver. The letters should go to Abuja and Lagos simultaneously.

They should promptly act on any of this. No need for dragging online or anywhere. It's a very simple thing abeg.

Ayomide, if you want to apply , its fine. Many have received several visas with 400, 500k account balance. That is why i spoke about different people different status. Dave is giving you a vital and technical advise, perfect one .

You know ...
Ticket is expensive, accommodation in Paris, all of that has to be put into the box for any sort of visa consideration.
If you, Ayo was a VO too, i am sure you would also be considering those factors before you can grant a visa to an applicant.

So , weigh your options and make a consideration.
there is never a perfect timing for visa applications though, it is just getting things right that matter and hoping for the best.

Yes, you can attach a bank reference letter. It is allowed eitherways your personal or company statement.

Technically, I am not sure what others may think, but applying for a family of 5 now isn't the best. Maybe you do for your own uncle "alone" or your uncle , his wife and just one of the kids. However, if you can substantiate reasons to the receiver of your application why they should grant you , you will be lucky. Mind you , these kind of application require alot of paper work.

- Family pics
- proof of enrollment of the kids in school
- A solid bank statement
It cost about 1.2m to book a flight from Lagos to Paris.

So ensure your application is very solid and leave no room for loopholes.

Lastly, there is another crucial document you can add as support document, a recommendation letter from a top person speaking well of your uncle or aunty as the case maybe!

Before you travel make sure you acquire skills and show willingness to learn the language. That will be like an easy pathway for you.

In my case, I have a masters degree from a university in Paris.
After getting my job, my employer wanted me to reapply for this kind of visa but I had to return home first.

The entire application was taken care of by a French immigration agency hired by my employer. I just went and submitted the documents that they sent me to submit.

About getting a job from Nigeria, depending on your field and skills their are French companies open to hiring foreigners.

While there's no written rule as to the amount of money you need in your bank account, I personally think ₦2m is too small for a 2-year MSC Programme, even if you are on scholarship, this amount is still too small to show as living cost for two years. Exactly , so many factors. I remember another time when they sent a feedback and said all the pages of the bank has to be stamped. These are technicalities of visa applications which require careful attention

bro if your bank statement is not stamped on all pages it might cause rejections because not every time will bank be able to get back to them so stamping of all pages is still guaranteed

I and Kel spent time here painstakingly informing prospects of these things. I attached another screenshot again to what you just said.

Visa applications is technical, carefully thought of and done and most of the time require one's dynamics and ability to be flexibile.

When UK VO's reject people's visas, why don't they carry placard to protest at their submission center or their embassy.

The person that replied you wasn’t the one that typed everybody’s letter.
Just as visas have different durations and rules that come with it.
To each its own.
Factly, this isn’t an appeal, he is correcting an error of judgement .
@Decale go ahead and write your letter to them.
Remonstration and Appeal aren’t same thing.
He never used a fake document.

Corresponding to your feedback, Above screenshot is a note from the home affairs as regards a similar case of an applicant to substantiate my point.

The bone of contention now is, he has to appeal alongside a fresh application as the subject refers .

An Appeal "alone" will not be acknowledged for e visas for South Africa.

That is the rule of Home Affairs and it is binding on all of us. If he gives it a try, it has to go through the email attached but technically, the re - application for a redress, appeal, review , remonstration or whatsoever must come with a "new application" as stated above (The E visa platform does not have provisions for appeals , review , what/not) Please read it above again carefully and interpret .

That is the point of order and it has to be obeyed to save time.

Lastly, do not also forget that some visa decisions are made in error , while some could be as a result of delayed feedback from merchant or third parties.

It is vital to note that, whilst you can not over rule these kind of things from happening, considering them to be humans, you can always seek a redress in subsequent applications.

Like i always say, it is not a do or die affair.

I attached another note of rejection to substantiate another possible reason for disapproval- Late feedback from third parties as regards verification.
