Absolutely correct.
Africankel:
I beg to disagree with on the attitude of VFS (South Africa), Abuja Staff. They are the most polite and helpful than their counterparts handling Canada and other Schengen applications. Every single time I've gone there, they've been really helpful. They go through every single document you want to submit, and ask you to get any that may be missing.

When submitting applications at VFS, the applicant should bear in mind that the average processing time in Nigeria is three months. An application submitted earlier this year in March was adjudicated in June. Returning from SA, I submitted another application in October, and I'm not expecting a response till December. The good thing however is, I have my passport with me in case of other travels.

I think South Africa visa is getting difficult this days. What's the possibility of getting visa for one that want to apply by November 10. When I will be back from business trip in securing family visa for December travel using sticker visa or EVisa. Please advice.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:39am On Oct 08, 2023
The South African High Commissioner operates from Abuja not Lagos. Another suggestion would be that you send a parcel of your complaint to Abuja whilst you are working on your appeal from Lagos. To fast track it. Address it to the High Commissioner,

High Commissioner: Thamsanqa Dennis Mseleku, HE Mr ... Street Address: D41004 European Union CRS, Diplomatic Zone, Central Business District, Abuja, NIGERIA.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:36am On Oct 08, 2023
Carefully read replies. Appeal is open for your kind of application. I did not talk about evisa. Is consular the visa officer? Bro/Sis, Draft an appeal, if you are in Lagos, get a new yellow fever at the International Airport Toll gate, attach supporting documents and submit your appeal. But make sure you contact VFS first tommorow morning on how to go about this.
dexydidi:
My application was a physical application not an e visa.

Again please can I get the phone number of the consular?

Secondly, does anyone have the email?

Thank you all for your responses.
Goodluck
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:07pm On Oct 07, 2023
dexydidi:
I submitted my application like ending of 27th sept and received the letter yesterday.

Please the consulars number?

I want to visit vfs office in lekki to clarify this issue.

It is really upsetting, cus I even have travel history whiich means i have been travelling with the yellow fever cards.

VO are really unintelligent people and lazy!
You can appeal physical applications, but not e visas. so please save yourself the stress and go to the portal to get the email address for vfs SA and request for informations and docuements to appeal. Goodluck.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee:
We are all in this together and we must champion that change. I just advised the said lady to begin to plan her relocation to Nigeria. It is been 9 years of fruitless journey. I said this and i will say it again, WE MUST NOT AND STOP LIVING IN DENIAL. This particular person i am talking about has been so adarmant to leave SA inspite all these developing issues unfortunately that is the problems that come with these things. Suffering and smiling would not be our thing if we get it right, as it stands , all of us are still speaking the same language. TOTAL RESTORATION OF NIGERIA'S LOST GLORY- That is all we want.
Anniebam:
Hmmm, I can’t believe you are saying this. When that nonsense human came here few months ago to insult Nigerians, these are some of the end results. A country where a good portion of the citizens think there misfortune is due to foreigners and they begin to witch hunt immigrants whether you like it or not everyone must suffer the consequences. This is why we were trying to correct the criminal narrative associated with Nigerians living in South Africa, the prejudice, segregation and discrimination is appalling. So many honest Nigerians here without jobs, most have to resort to business because of the constant rejection due to your nationality. I can’t count how many jobs I have applied to on indeed which I know I am beyond qualified for but 98% of the time I don’t even get a call back talk more of an interview.
If you are a Nigerian planning on coming to SA for vacation, my advise, suspend your plans for now, these people don’t want you in their country and if you are living in South Africa fully, please start planning your exit, a country where the people have so much hate against you and can turn on you at any given time is genuinely not worth it in my opinion so don’t be too relaxed in this country.
If you want more insight as to how much this people hate foreigners, go and watch the latest BBC documentary on YouTube detailing the horrific attack on immigrants.
All you said here was discussed more than 3hours on the phone. I still dont understand why so many are hell bent on remaining in SA inspite all these recent issues.
My prayer is that it does not give rise to another round of xenophobic attacks, because to be honest, the tension is high and we must accept this bitter truth to move forward.

Finally, For you all that always expect me to say everything is fine, "it is well" . Me and you know Nigeria is not well at all. The taxi council in SA has been striking for months. Many African countries are not feeling fine at all, the people must continue to talk. That is why military coups are becoming the order of the day.

I will use every opportunity to speak about the ills in the society we live and profer solutions as a concerned citizen. Nobody can coach me on sugarcoating my country. Things are not right we know, and hope for the best , Yes! but we will continue to talk about the ills just like how America talks about racial profiling and Gun violence advocacy now and then. We must continue to air our genuine and concerned opinions on issues as it affects us.

I have the uttmost respect for peoples opinions on public platforms especially if it concerns our society but just imagine a Nigeria without people like Femi Falana, The late Fela Kuti, The Matyr Erudite Human Right Activist OF Blessed Memory, Chief Gani Fawenhmi, Bamidele Aturu, David Hundeyin, Just to mention a few, we would be in total shambles by now.

Peoples active participation on national issues serves as oversight and checks and balances for the people in government. Just so you all know, I am socially inclined, so my views on issues may always not be the same or as expected however i accept everyones thought on issues for logical assessment.

Goodnight all!
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 7:01pm On Oct 07, 2023
You see this diplomacy is reason why we are here today. No one want to talk or be called out for the ills in the society gravely killing innocent peoples destiny. I spoke to a friend who has been in SA for more than 9 years. Despite all her connects, she lament of not been able to get a job because the system prefers to favor her own people against foreigners. If Americas and the rest of the world was that way, alot of you that seek greener pastures abroad will not be able to go there! There has to be an equilibrium. A system where you are seen as a criminal immediately you present your passport at the airport is a bad system. This transcends from our society to what people see and perceive about us. We must not shy away from the issues in other to create awareness and better orientation. FYI, alot of people can be rehabilitated and become better persons by reading and hearing some of the things been discussed here. Everytime is not visa visa, let us always deliberate and engage ourselves on issues affecting visa refusals so everyone can be better enlightened.
koffeed:
Each country has its own problems as well as its merits, we as Africans must reframe from always attacking one another when matters such as this arises. Indeed, a corrupt government or institution contributes towards the behaviour of it’s civilians but nevertheless we must try to treat each other with respect and integrity. Life is hard as It is, thus to sit behind the comfort of one’s home and furiously lash out at another brother or sister is simply demoralizing. Bear in mind that before there was ever a country to divide us we were all simply humans residing in one continent. This idealistic notion of your country is better than mine is a fairytale of an ignorant soul. This platform was created to assist with the needs of our fellow brothers and sisters and it should stay that way. Let us maintain some respect for our fellow Africans regardless of which country they’ve been subjected to.

Always remember that a country doesn't define a man’s destiny, a man rather defines a country’s destiny.

If it is not too much to ask, I will go back to assisting those that need advice on how to go about achieving this e-visa debacle. As always gentlemen, it’s been a pleasure.

The thing tire me honestly....

I stopped putting the blame on government some while ago when I started looking outside the box..... Government did not fall from sky, the peoples make the government.

You see ehn, Nigerians abroad has badly put the country reputation to the garbage.

Whenever I travelled and see how some Nigerians behave overseas makes me wanna hide my identity but for me, I still stand gidigba as a Nigerians. But it's what it is.

It's better Nigerians should stay away from south African Embassy for now,,,,
Only them actually knows the fuse they have with Nigeria.
Boycotting their visas maybe an option for real. Refusals keeps spilling in.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:06am On Oct 07, 2023
we are speaking the same langauge. It is a collective thing, but the politicians are not helping matters. Nigeria has a very terrible image which should be corrected unfortunately the sitting president has been entangled with alot of controversies needless talk about issues over the years. How can you not relate this with events over time
Additivesupplie:
Nigerian politicians are the ones selling drugs all over the republic?

Are they also the ones constituting nuisance in SA and the rest of the world?

South African Embassy don see shege with forged documents by Nigerian travel agent.

I can't blame them, it's their country and they have every right to deny any application.

Many diasporan don finished Nigeria reputation all over the world
Your assertion correlates mine with no iota of discrepancies.

We have alot of work to do.

To apply for visa in an African Country is even more tougher these days than some european countries. I saw some post wode maya page on facebook, and sure he did speak my mind on recent events.

Imagine working for a South African Company and your visa still get rejected. crazy!
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:13am On Oct 07, 2023
When did you submit this application.
dexydidi:
My visa was denied for this reason.

However my yellow fever card does not even originate from nigeria but was issued in ghana. I am completely exhausted about this.

I sent them an email. What you all reckon I do?

Plus what does the last 10 days means? I mean the last column ?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:10am On Oct 07, 2023
Blame your Politicians for the travails of a common Nigerian. Everyone typically sees us as fraudsters but we like to live in denial as a people. Is it not becoming obvious that the excuses for refusals by South Africa is as a result of a failed state.
Even when you attach original documents, everyone thinks it is fake.

- Invalid bank statement
- Invalid yellow fever card
- Invalid this and that ( Even when they are duly stamped)

What do you mean by another money again?
You will pay to reschedule your flight to the airline. Date change is chargeable.

Or have you not booked yet?

That is what I meant.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:24am On Sep 24, 2023
Another money again
xdastardx:
Flight leaves around 23pm and arrives 6am the next day which is the 14th.
I did draw the attention to the evisa officer via email and he admitted it was a mistake that he used the date of the conference instead of my arrival date.
And the South African Airways don’t travel everyday. If I reschedule I will have to travel on the date of the conference and arrive the next day.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 9:27am On Sep 24, 2023
You will be allowed to fly from Lagos and enter SA. Check well, is it 14th you arrive or 15th. All flight to SA arrives next day , unless you are on a direct flight on SAA
xdastardx:
For evisa, if my valid entry date is for e.g 15th but my flight arrival to SA is 14th, will immigration allow me entry? When processing the evisa, this mistake was made by dha but I emailed and the issue was not resolved.

What else can I do?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 2:26pm On Sep 23, 2023
My brother, the last evisa i got my eye see wetin mouth no fit talk. The only thing i can advise travelers is to carry all their documents when they are on evisas. The scrutiny is more
Africankel:
Morning Ayo, I'm not expecting any feedback till November/December o. Physical application indeed take longer.

I also noticed last time at the port of entry that most of the officers dey avoid eVisa. I don't know why. Although they don't have a choice than to attend to everyone.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 9:13am On Sep 23, 2023
You have done sticker visas application for SA a number of times Kel. The last one you did, any feedback? E be like say Physical ones take longer. Goodmorning
Africankel:
You shouldn't have withdrawn your application. You rather should have opted for temporary withdrawal of your passport.

However, you'll get your passport retuned before Friday.

When you want to gather information, be intentional about it. Dont just throw questions for immediate response. Having requisite details matters too. What we tell you here is just a bit of it, you are to carry out more research on your own.

If you need know more about SA visa process and learn the tricks to get the visa, read more on it.

I have been alot of those links lately because i noticed that gap.

Hello everyone I humbly ask for your assistance.
I applied for South African Visa physical application on the 12th and Evisa online on the 15th.

My evisa has been granted today.
How can I get my passport from VFS because I was told to submit it along with my documents.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee:
tannystacey:
Well, it was asked for in the current visit visa i applied for on behalf of my friend. Despite the person not traveling from Nigeria.

The evisa required yellow fever card and police clearance to be uploaded. So does an applicant just ignore it and upload something else?

Honestly if anyone has applied for evisa tourist visa recently and gotten it without police clearance or yellow fever card, i will really like to know
Your question has been answered.
Not needed, except yellow card which you can get from Port Health, toll Gate Airport.
