When God speaks, the wise listens! One of the major prophetic voices whose prophecies have always come to pass,Prophet Kingsley Aitafo Oladapo of Oneness in Christ Ministry has issued another prophetic warning.

“ Jesus Christ said I should tell a particular man of God that you can’t mock the devil. He said the wealth you got from the devil is about to go back to the devil. He said warn him so he wiont be associated with him(God)”

It would be recalled that most of the incidents that occured globally and specifically in Nigeria were fulfilled prophecies of prophet Kingsley as the mouthpiece of God.

SportsAppointment Of Alhaji Aminu Balele As Chairman OF NFF Task Force, A Round Peg In by Hunter2009(op): 7:26am On Oct 26, 2022
Appointment Of Alhaji Aminu Balele As Chairman OF NFF Task Force, A Round Peg In Round Hole By Femi Oyewale

Astute sports administrator, Alhaji Aminu Balele Kurfi has been appointed as chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation which was confirmed by a letter on the 2oth of October 2022.

In an official letter made available by the NFF president, he was appointed as chairman of the NFF task force on Youth Competition ( U23, U20, and U17 National Teams) as approved by the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Football Federation.

According to NFF, his assignment is to garner public and private sector for the youth National Teams, for their camping, friendly games, qualifying matches, and participation in international competitions.

His appointment according to NFF is due to the high confidence they repose in his person and capability.

Of a truth, his appointment is justified because the story of Nigeria Football cannot be completed without a mention of Alhaji Aminu Kurfi Balele whose records on and off the pitch have gradually dwarfed the achievements of many who have spent over two decades in the corridor of Football with virtually nothing to show for it.

As Senior special adviser to the former governor of Katsina state, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, Balele who was also a former chairman of Katsina United, was the brain behind the rising profile of Katsina United as one of the emerging superpowers of Nigeria Football.

His deep administrative maneuvering around the Football circle helped to life the Changi boys from their comfort zone in the NNL to the Nigeria Professional Football league, NPFL, after they finished as league leaders in the 2016 season before going on to win the NNL Super 4 competition, a result that catapulted them to the apex league in the country.

Known for his forthrightness, admired for his doggedness, and respected for his residence, Dan Arewa as his fans fondly call him is the best man for the new appointment.

Christianity EtcJoshua Iginla Condemns Attack On Apostle Suleman Pleads With Nigerians To Stop.. by Hunter2009(op): 11:11pm On Oct 23, 2022
Joshua Iginla Condemns Attack On Apostle Suleman pleads with Nigerians to stop attacking Religious Leaders [ Video ]

Internationally acclaimed Prophet and shepherd in charge of Champions Royal Assembly, Joshua Iginla has condoled with families of the slain victims during the vicious attack against Apostle Johnson Suleman.

Iginla in an emotional laden voice during the sunday service today raised a prayer for the family of the seven slain victims. He also condemend the vicious attack against Apostle Suleman labelling it as barbaric and satanic. He also enjoined the security to rise to the occassion by arresting, prosecuting the culprits and their sponsors.

Furthermore, he challenged christian leaders to embrace the love of God and be united against. He reiterated the fact that true revival cannot occur until they relate as one body. Iginla also appealed to Nigerians to forgive the fathers of faith and stop attacking them. Accprding to hi,, they are not responsib, for the current state of the country:

“Last week an unfortunate incident occurred to one of our brothers in Christ and ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries. It was a sad event. I gave him a call on Friday and he narrated the unfortunate incident to me.

I want to first say that our heart goes to the family of the policemen and ministry members who lost their lives In the sad event. There was an attempt on the life of the man of God and it was a narrow escape through the help of God.

I know people will say whatever they like. If you sat bulletproof or car proof but I want you to know there were people who ride in bulletproof cars, yet were accosted and killed. There were presidents who were heavily guarded yet assassinated.

In things like this we are not here to argue with men but say the act of trying to take somebody's life no matter the reason is barbaric, satanic, and devilish not to talk about it being against a man of God. We have come to a point in our time where hatred had filled our lives. We no longer understand what it means to have the fear of God.

I just want to register my voice by condemning this act. It is satanic and barbaric. I have confidence in the Nigerian Police. When they want to do their job, they will do it thoroughly. I have seen them moving swiftly on many occasions to incidents like this and bring out the truth. We hope the Nigerian police will not fold their hands and that the culprits and their sponsors will be arrested, prosecuted, and dealt with lawfully”

To the church and the body of Christ, we no longer know who is our enemy or friends. One of the scary set of people to deal with are pastors. Until we come to the point where we are united, we are just deceiving ourselves for the prayer of revival. Do you know the reason we don't have revival in the land? Do you think you can cause revival alone? No! You need me and I need you. We need one another. Also if we have offended you forgive us.

The attack on the Men of God is too much. If you don't talk about Papa Adeboye, you talk about Bishop Oyedepo. To you, everyone of us is not good. Forgive us. We are men before we became men of God. We are not the government of Nigeria, we are not the ones handling the political positions in Nigeria. The present predicament of Nigeria is not caused by us. Kindly vent your anger in the right direction and choose a new leader that can lead Nigeria right. We will never be politicians.

We are men of God. Also, men of God once they criticized you, consider the constructive criticism they appoint to you and turn a new leaf. The voice of the people sometimes can be the voice of God. But taking somebody's life is so dangerous. Watch my track record, even if I don't know you once you received a bullet as clergy I will come out to defend you. When senior prophet TB Joshua was alive I did the same thing in his lifetime and after his lifetime. If not for timely intervention... how much did they give you to take somebody's life? What a wicked world we live in..

Tukur Buratai: Past performance produces present privileges By Femi Oyewale
You have to perform at a consistently higher level than others. That’s the mark of a true professional. ~ Joe Paterno

Of a truth, Past performance produces present privileges. This aptly describes Ambassador Tukur Buratai (CFR)  who remains an exceptional diplomat and whose service record speaks volumes of an unalloyed commitment to the Nigerian dream and an equally astonishing level of patriotism to those ideals that define us as a people and country.

Interestingly, only few know that Ambassador Buratai is a humble man who is a perfect example of a man who beautifully has power but don't use it.  A man of few words whose compassion Is a direct opposite of the archaic impression that military men are expressionless, mean and authoritarian.

My encounters with him during his service years as the chief of army staff and currently as the Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin made me realise that he is an exceptional personality who is imbued with unsual intelligence, charisma, compassion, discipline, vision and mission to help individuals, organisations and nation interpret their dreams. He is a barrier breaker and a line crosser. This explains why he is grossly misunderstood by many who wonder how can one man be so favoured and endowed with exceptional qualities and achievements. No wonder among his peers, he is greatly flavoured.

He is a great listener with a listening ear, cool, calm and collected. I can say with with all modest that he is not the flamboyant type. Rather, he invest in human assets by helping them to interpret their dreams and visions.

Like someone rightly recalled of the lofty exploits of Ambassador Tukur Buratai while he held sway as the chief of army staff. I call those days the impeccable days in the annals of the Nigerian Army in terms of strategy and tactics; Ambassador Tukur Buratai indeed came to the party.

The way and manner he was able to turn around the fortunes of the Nigerian Army were also outstanding and in record time. From a lethargic situation to a combatant position in less than a year, the result was felt across the country with regards to addressing the security situation in the country. That was the vintage Tukur Buratai.

Again, Ambassador Tukur Buratai was able to contribute his quota in service to the country because the President and Commander-in-Chief recognized his capacity to deliver in that critical assignment and eventually provided the enabling environment for him to flourish.

Truth be told, his nomination as a diplomat was indeed a masterstroke by President Muhammadu Buhari towards utilizing his wealth of experience in service to the country over the years.

His Excellency's resume is rich and replete with acts of patriotism that would make any nation green with envy. Little wonder he was among notable Nigerians conferred with National Honours by President Buhari few days ago.

I quite agree with the fact that Buratai stands tall from the lot and I have no reservations in his strides as a politician. I am aware of his commitment to the Nigerian cause in the course of the several engagements he has had with the members of the intelligentsia community in Nigeria. He has always been robust in his thoughts and engagements which somewhat culminated in the numerous awards and engagements as speaker in a number of intelligent discourse.

Buratai is a lesson in history on what patriotism entails. His passion and energy towards the Nigerian cause cannot be questioned by any well-meaning Nigerian conversant with how he led the Nigerian Army in the prosecution of the war against insurgency and others. I made bold to say that Nigeria is yet to see or tap from the multidimensional leadership qualities embedded in this great General cum Ambassador. He is indeed like a moon among the stars.

Real Reasons President Buhari Confers National Honour On Oil Mogul, Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, 434 Others

Of a truth, becoming a barrier breaker or line crosser as an entrepreneur is not mere lip service. It takes consistent effort and focus to grow from being an ordinary entrepreneur to a force to be reckoned with globally and an empire builder.

Nigeria is blessed with many of such men who started from scratch, kept their nose to the grindstone, and turn seemingly insignificant ideas into behemoth industries. Dr. Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi is one of the risk-taking individuals that would be sent to Mars and still treat it as a stepping stone to Saturn – the quality of constant invention and self-improvement that has earned him worldwide acclaim and prosperity.

At work and at play, Azudialu shifts gear seamlessly between the whimsical and the earnest, demonstrating time and over again his ability to tame challenges and ride out storms - without falling prey to Scylla and Charybdis of cynicism and failure. All in pursuit of glory.

Indeed, it is always a great feeling to be recognised by one’s beloved country. Yesterday, Dr. Ernest Azudialu and 437 individuals were awarded with the 2022 national honours award of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This year’s list enlisted five recipients for the honour of GCON, CFR 54, CON 67, OFR 64, OON 101, MFR 75, MON 56, and FRM 8.

The list contain individuals from different works of life like politicians, public officers, security officers, businessmen, monarchs, and religious leaders among others. The award was given to different individuals for different achievements and it was based on different categories. Dr Ernest received his award under the category of “ OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC (OFR)”

Ernest Nnaemeka Azudialu Obiejesi (born April 17, 1960) is a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist. He is the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Nestoil and the founder of the Obijackson Foundation.

Born in Okija, Anambra (Nigeria), Azudialu Obiejesi first joined his father’s family business in 1978 before setting up his first company, Obijackson West Africa Limited, that traded goods across West Africa. PoliticsCaging Insecurity: Situating Gen. Buratai’s New Recipe by Hunter2009(op): 9:50pm On Aug 04, 2022
Caging Insecurity: Situating Gen. Buratai’s New Recipe

As guest lecturer at a recent symposium on National Security, organised by Arewa House in Kaduna, former Chief of Army Staff and current Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, pitched for negotiation as a resolution option with armed non-state actors. Louis Achi examines the new recipe

For three tough years, Rome had besieged the City of Carthage which was the only existential threat to the Roman Empire thereabouts 142 BC, until the coming of the Vandals several centuries later.

As the battle-hardened Roman General Scipio Africanus who took the city finally in 146 BC watched it burn in complete destruction, he suddenly broke down and wept. It was a shocking spectacle for his troops to behold. Crying for a defeated enemy or pitching for some benign accommodation was an indulgence unknown in that era.

Scipio’s emotional reaction to this particular conclusion of a historic, bloody campaign stemmed from a deep philosophical apprehension that all cities, nations, and authorities must, like men, meet their doom.

In a fundamental sense, General Scipio’s tough exploits and later philosophical sentiments about the enemy echo that of Nigeria’s former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and current Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai. By boldly proposing an alternative engagement modus with non-state actors who have actively sought and are still seeking to bring the nation to her knees and fracture her sovereignty, General Buratai presents a compelling case deserving specific interrogation.

It could be recalled that following his appointment in July 2015 as COAS by President Muhammadu Buhari until he exited in 2021, Lt. Gen. Buratai had besieged the Boko Haram terrorist group and other potent armed non-state actors who posed considerable existential threat to the nation. He led from the front, amidst grueling, multifarious challenges and left with head held high.

Lt. Gen. Buratai had on June 11, 2022, called for dialogue between governments and armed groups, saying a growing practice of engaging in dialogue with all parties to a conflict had emerged since the mid-1980s. He observed that there must be concerted efforts that there are no ungoverned spaces in the land.

He urged state and local governments to establish their presence in their areas of responsibility. According to him, negotiation and dialogue are integrated approaches that can end insecurity by involving traditional and religious leaders, media, security and intelligence agencies.

The former Army boss spoke as a guest lecturer at a one-day symposium on National Security, organised by the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Centre for Historical Research and Documentation, Arewa House Kaduna, with the theme ‘Politics and Insecurity in Nigeria: Way Forward’.

Significantly, he further noted that he aligned with the approach being promoted by a revered Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi, seen by many as controversial. His words: “This is where I commend Sheikh Gumi for his initiative. One-third of the fight is military; others should be non-kinetic, through dialogue. We must get this solution and this is the right time to get it done.”

Buratai further suggested the revitalisation of the Defense Industries Corporation of Nigeria, better welfare and equipment for police, as well as the establishment of a national border force as done in other parts of the world.

According to him, the issue of the carrot and stick approach can be used to explore ways to end some of the conflicts confronting Nigeria, counselling the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to collaborate and employ all means to block off supplies to terrorists.

He also held that “the ongoing reforms of the Nigerian Police, procurement of modern platforms for intelligence gathering, and effective control of Nigeria’s porous borders will go a long way” in curbing various forms of insecurity in different parts of the country such as insurgency in the North East, banditry and kidnapping in the North West, agitations in South East and crude oil bunkering in South-South.”

The one day event was graced by heads of military and paramilitary organisations, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar who was represented, university dons, religious leaders, serving and retired military office and prominent Nigerians from diverse walks of life.

Is it conceivable that General Buratai’s diplomatic tour of duty may have mellowed the tough soldier’s appetite for frontal confrontation, or on the other hand, tweaked his philosophy of engagement? Big question!

According to Italian-American Professor of International Relations, Angelo M. Codevilla, “By their very nature, diplomacy and military force are means to the ends of statecraft as well as channels by which governments press their agendas on others. Neither is inherently more or less useful than the other.

“Far from being antithetical to one another, diplomacy and military force are complementary insofar as they serve the same political ends. “What are we after? What are they after?” These questions are as central to warfare as to diplomacy.”

In dissecting General Buratai’s new recipe of caging bloody insecurity, it needs to be stated that current armed conflict in Nigeria is characterised by an abundance of non-state armed groups who compete with the state for control over people, resources, and territory. The composition, areas of influence, and alliances of these groups tend to be fluid and subject to rapid change. This essentially captures the strategy of Boko Haram insurgents.

Beyond this, the internal dynamics within them are often opaque, providing limited opportunities for outsiders to develop an understanding of their interests and to identify opportunities for negotiation. Humanitarian actors, diplomats, and mediators must nevertheless engage these groups if they are to succeed in reducing levels of violence, bring an end to the conflict, or provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities.

Before these negotiations can begin, however, opportunities have to be found or created to bring armed groups to the negotiating table – whether literal or figurative. But then these groups need to be first incentivized.

The most effective incentive for armed groups to negotiate usually relates instead to legitimacy. But careful analysis is needed to ensure these groups enter negotiations in good faith rather than being content to simply appear to negotiate. Opportunities are likely to be scarce for engaging armed groups that derive their legitimacy by violating international norms. Armed groups may also be compelled to negotiate over their desire for humanitarian assistance to substitute for their own responsibilities.

Positive inducements, then, are usually a more effective means of getting armed groups to the negotiating table. The most effective incentive for armed groups usually relates to their need for legitimacy. Many armed groups serve as de facto governments often overseeing a range of government-like services, such as health or education departments. Others have even established putataive sub-national governance structures and often aspire to hold post-conflict leadership positions.

In a significant sense ‘conference diplomacy,’ a term coined by the defunct League of Nations, can contribute to conflict prevention by providing a forum for negotiation over the terms of a conflict’s conclusion, as well as laying the ground for the development of sustainable peace.

As part of the diplomatic toolbox, it allows focused attention to the issue at hand, brings together all relevant actors – ideally in a neutral setting and by a trusted convener – and fosters both momentum as well as a clear deadline for action.

At press time, it cannot be disputed that the nation badly needs an end to the current bloodletting, brazen banditry and kidnapping daily going on. Today, food insecurity, direct fallout from the rampaging banditry, is glaringly real. Is Gen. Buratai the man who saw tomorrow?

Could the tough Roman General Scipio Africanus’ fleetingly gripping insight into the core of the human condition have influenced his Nigerian counterpart, General Buratai, eons later, to reconsider the traditional kinetic engagement with enemies. Has General Buratai, peering into the twilight zone of his eventful life, morphed into a statesman or become a soldier-statesman? Time will tell.

BusinessRebuttal: Aiteo Debunks Pointblanknews’ Fictitious Report by Hunter2009(op): 11:16am On Jul 25, 2022
Rebuttal: Aiteo Debunks Pointblanknews’ Fictitious Report

The attention of Aiteo Group (“Aiteo”) and Mr. Benedict Peters (the Founder/Executive Vice Chairman of Aiteo Group) (“Mr. Peters”) has been drawn to a false, misleading and defamatory media report/publication made on 12th July 2022, by the online news portal, Pointblanknews.com, under the headline “AITEO BOSS, BENEDICT PETERS, LINKED TO MASSIVE INTERNATIONAL FRAUD, MONEY LAUNDERING (PART 1)”, which has been further circulated by other online media platforms.

In the publication, Pointblanknews.com made a number of absurdly spurious and defamatory allegations against Aiteo and Mr. Peters, citing unnamed, unspecific and unverifiable sources (in common with its other publications), in what is ostensibly an orchestrated smear campaign against Mr. Peters and a number of Aiteo entities.

The publication makes several false statements seeking, forlornly, to embellish its headline that Mr. Peters is currently “linked to massive international fraud, money laundering…” and alleges, without any particulars whatsoever, that he is the subject of various indictments within and outside Nigeria. The article offers no facts, information or explanation as to what it says either Mr. Peters or some of the entities that it names has done; done wrong or improperly either in contravention of any laws or business practices.

In short, other than to publish a list of names and throw bare accusations lacking any form of content or credibility, the article represents the worst form of hollow journalism of the sort that the publisher appears to be regularly associated with. The article misguidedly and malevolently derided ours and Mr. Peters’ activities and in so doing, demonstrated irresponsible journalism as it is plainly evident that its writers undertook no proper investigation or inquiry, prior to publication, as they did not even make the professional effort to contact us despite our very well publicised locations and contact details.

Essentially, the article represents outcomes of a maliciously conceived concoction of untruths designed to embarrass, humiliate or disgrace both Aiteo and Mr. Peters, without any foundation whatsoever. These statements are completely false and fabricated; defamatory and highly damaging to our image and reputation, and that of Mr. Peters as an international businessman of considerable repute, in the minds of reasonable and right-thinking members of the society.

Arising only from the undeserved necessity to refute allegations that have no substance whatsoever, we are constrained to confirm that that the basis of the article is a collation of maliciously conjectural fiction. The article pathetically fails to state that any of the transactions represented by the names to which the relate or the contents represent evidence of any inappropriate undertakings.

It is plainly evident that the said words were uttered and published deliberately, maliciously, falsely and willfully with the intent to cause damage to the character, profession, and reputation of the Aiteo entities and Mr Peters.

The publishers knew or ought to know that NONE of these assertions are true because there are no alleged financial crimes considered, proffered or in existence based on any facts or documents involving our client; any companies in which he has any interest, family members in any of the countries that the article mentions or involving the banks named or any other banks whatsoever. The sheer lack of specificity regarding the nature or type of any such gifts given in the documents that you have provided speaks to the incontestable lack of credibility of the allegations.

The truth is that Mr. Peters has been assiduously working in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria for over 30 years. Mr. Peters is the founder of the AITEO, an integrated global-focused energy conglomerate comprising a number of corporate entities that provide jobs and enhance meaningful indigenous participation in the energy sector.

The core area of Aiteo’s business, at its inception, was trading and distribution of all kinds of petroleum products but grew to include upstream exploration and production of crude oil condensate and gas, bulk petroleum storage, refining of petroleum products, trading, marketing and supply as well as power generation and distribution. Under Mr. Peters’ leadership, Aiteo has grown rapidly and steadily over the years, becoming a significant player in the Oil and Gas industry in Africa. We have successfully expanded our business footprint into Power, Mining, Real Estate, Agriculture and Health.

Inherently, the overwhelming malice and inaccuracies in the article confirm that the writers’ objectives were undisguisedly spiteful. Many of the statements contain untrue and highly inflammatory comments. Indeed, some of them contain incontrovertible malicious falsehood. These circumstances lead to the inescapable conclusion that the writers have pursued this course specifically with the intent to cause maximum damage and embarrassment. It is not known what writers motivation was.

We have referred the matters arising to our lawyers for further decisive action against the publisher and all those who have irresponsibly disseminated the article. In the interim, Aiteo and Mr Peters hereby urge members of the public as well as business partners, associates and well-wishers globally to disregard the as well as any previous and future defamatory reports or publications associated with this article or any comments therein including the re-publication by other online media outlets that used Pointblanknews.com as their source.

We assure the general public that Aiteo and Mr Peters remain committed to upholding the true values of transparency, excellent service delivery and accountability at all times for which we have come to be known.

Mr Buratai, who is now the Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, was turbaned at the emir’s palace in Keffi Local Government area of the state on Saturday.

NAN also reports that ‘Garkuwa’ in Hausa language means ‘Shield’.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chindo-Yamusa said that the choice of Buratai for the traditional title was in recognition of his sterling contributions to Keffi township and Nigeria at large.

Mr Buratai appreciated the emir and the emirate council for the honour, assuring that the traditional title bestowed on him would further spur him to do more in terms of contributing positively to the society and humanity.

Buratai demands retraction, apology from Sahara Reporters over publication (Doc)

The former Chief of Army staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (Rtd) who is also the current Ambassador to Benin Republic has given Sahara Reporters a seven day ultimatum to retract and apologised publicly over the injurious, defamatory and fabricated lies against him.

Buratai gave the ultimatum in a letter to the newspaper and signed by his counsel led by Dr. Reuben Atabo, SAN.

In the letter, Buratai also demanded a public apology from the media outfit over the fabricated story.

He decried that very serious allegations that were leveled against him in the report, which he said was capable of brewing hatred and attack by the public against him, has caused him great embarrassment.

The notice, read: “We refer to your publication dated 23rd day of June 2022 with the caption: ‘EXCLUSIVE: Anti-graft Agency, ICPC Uncovers Billions In Cash Meant For Arms, Ammunition To Fight Boko Haram In Abuja Home Of Ex-Chief Of Army Staff, Buratal.’

“In the said publication, you alleged that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) had recovered N1.85 billion from a house and office said to belong to our client.

“It was further reported by you that ‘the huge cash was part of the billions of naira earmarked for the purchase of arms and ammunition by the Muhammadu Buhari-led government.’

“This is a very serious allegation capable of brewing hatred and attack by the public against our client as a former Chief of Army Staff.

“There is no doubt that Nigerians are seriously concerned about the security situation of the country and the said publication has portrayed our client as a person responsible for diversion of funds meant for the fight against Boko Haram.

“Consequently, our client has been exposed to hate, ridicule and embarrassment from members of the public with his friends calling him from different parts of the world to ask for explanations.

“The publication is not only false but malicious and an attempt to malign the reputation of our client.

“Our client, who is the current Ambassador to Benin Republic, rose through the ranks and became a Lieutenant General in the Nigerian Army before his retirement in the year 2021.

“Our client, who was also a former Chief of Army Staff from July 2015 to 2021 has taken the battle against insurgency to the field with enormous energy and resources as well as loss of field officers.

“By your publication, our client has been ridiculed as a man without honour, dignity and incapable of representing Nigeria and portrayed as a fraudster/ dishonest person before Nigerians and the international community.

“We hereby demand that you retract your publication with a public apology to our client within seven days of receiving this letter and a public apology to be published in two national dailies in Nigeria.

“Take notice that if you fail, neglect and/ or refuse to publish the apology within seven from today, we shall not hesitate to commence legal action against your organisation for defamation.

“It is hoped that you would comply to avoid the unpleasantness of litigation and its attendant consequences.”

PoliticsNigeria Does Not Need Another Weak Vice President by Hunter2009(op): 11:04am On Jul 08, 2022
Nigeria Does Not Need Another Weak Vice President

There are three fundamental principles in choosing a leader, especially when it comes to a country like Nigeria. Character, capacity, and energy are the most essential ingredients in picking a 21st century leader. This simply means that a leader in Africa’s most populous nation is expected to be a paragon of integrity, and a high flyer whose capacity in politics and public affairs must transcend both the state and federal government.

Nigeria also needs a leader that exudes energy and resourcefulness to drive the dividends of democracy to the people. And having elected Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential flagbearer ahead of the 2023 election, the APC’s quest for choosing his running mate must revolve around the aforementioned qualities.

So far, three names have been shortlisted by the party for its Vice-Presidential slot. Babagana Zulum, the incumbent governor of Borno State, his Predecessor, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the current Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El Rufai are alleged to be the key contenders.

But which of these men has all of what it takes to become Nigeria’s next vice president? It is no longer a hidden secret that the Office of the Vice President has for a long time been something of a delightfully bland euphemism for ceremonial leadership in Nigerian politics. An office that has been occupied by a series of men lacking in capacity and ability to inspire economic and political change.

Except for Atiku Abubakar whose effect was in a way felt during his time, all other vice presidents that had emerged since Nigeria’s return to democracy have been merely political spare tyres. Goodluck Jonathan for instance was rather ineffective when he occupied the second-highest office in the land, and the unfortunate demise of his principal, the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, which led to his enthronement as President was a vindication that occupying political offices was entirely not one of his strengths.

GEJ’s deputy, the meek and unmotivated Muhammed Sambo also had nothing of value to offer as Vice President. Then came in the amiable Professor of Law, Yemi Osinbajo—one we all expected had the X factor to switch things up. But yet again, we were offered another ceremonial figurehead—this time, a smooth great talker who, in almost eight years has been a little doer.

It must be pointed out that Nigeria does not need a manager, it needs a leader, and It perforce follows that for over a decade, the tradition of non-performing attributes has pervaded largely the position of the vice presidency in Nigeria.

With that in sight, it is expected that the APC’s choice of a running mate for Tinubu must be someone viable enough to create the needed political effect. Note that Tinubu’s candidacy for the presidency has conjured up a lot of reservations among Nigerians, and if the party must clear several doubts regarding the nation’s topmost job, then it must present to Nigerians a good enough vice-presidential aspirant.

Of all three, Mallam Ahmed El Rufai is by far the most qualified for the job. He is suave, he understands better Nigeria’s current reality, and he is yawningly the most detribalized northerner in the mix. The truth also remains that Babagana Zulum will not be a bad pick either, but unfortunately, he is not El Rufai.

Note that, Mallam El Rufai singlehandedly coordinated all the APC governors to support the bid for Tinubu’s Presidency. He is a man who commands more respect in the Nigerian political clime than most of his counterparts. If picked, Mallam El Rufai will be the perfect piece to the jigsaw of an APC government that is in dire need of a reformative swagger.

To many, El Rufai comes off as a man that is overly principle, but it is his kind that Nigeria needs as number two at this point of reckoning. One of the most cosmopolitan breeds from northern Nigeria, El Rufai’s public service records speaks volume. This is a man whose reformative mind transformed a large part of Obasanjo’s government, not that he was even Nigeria’s vice president at the time. As minister of the FCT, El Rufai established the Abuja Geographic Information System, creating the first computerized land register and information system in Nigeria.

He led reforms in the Nigerian public service and oversaw a transformation in the Ministry of Commerce and Interior while playing a key role in the country’s national economic team.
El Rufai is a political outlier and a pragmatic statesman that can hardly go missing in the business of statecraft. It is these leadership qualities that made him share a close connection with President Obasanjo during that dispensation, one that bears semblance to the connection enjoyed by President Richard Nixon and his brilliant aide, Henry Kissinger (for those familiar with the history of 20th century US politics).

It was the same connection that made Nuhu Ribadu describe Mallam El Rufai as the ‘de facto no. 2 official’, tagging him the vice president given his active contribution to Obasanjo’s government.

There is no gainsaying how Mallam El Rufai has transformed Kaduna State in the most progressive ways. Under his stewardship, the State attracted a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of $2.61 billion in 2021. His progressive method of cutting the cost of government to reforming the state civil service and education sector is arguably the best policy thrust embarked upon by any current governor in Nigeria. Last year, he appointed a 28-year-old into his cabinet, and he is the only governor in northern Nigeria with a deputy as a woman—Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.

Note that 53% of commissioners under his aegis in Kaduna State are women—a milestone that reaffirms Mallam El Rufai’s position as an incomparable modern statesman.

If anything, the APC stands a better chance of retaining their seat in Aso Rock should they go for Mallam El Rufai as Tinubu’s running mate. This is a man who can give Nigeria 20 hours of his time daily and can create compelling connections with Nigerian youths. There is a sense that if Nigeria finds a vibrant and disciplined Vice president like El Rufai, the country may as well get it right from 2023.

Buratai: When Misfits In PDP Awake From Slumber

By James Bwala

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC have clarified on the house they busted at WUSE 2 in Abuja. They have also named the military contractor whose house they found N1.8 Billion naira.

These facts and other related claims earlier mentioned have been put in the proper perspective in the records of ICPC since the reported allegations by Sahara Reporters whose mischievous lines have since been condemned by Nigerians. I think PDP is just waking up from sleep and I hope they won’t be sleeping on election days.

Dragging the name of Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai into muddy political water perhaps in PDP’s wild imagination and the dreams of some misfits within the drowning party is an anathema, abhorrence, loathing and curse that accompanied its downfall.

No wonder they could not settle since the outcome of the presidential primaries that saw their leader running from pillars to poles seeking relevance and acceptance from Nigerians who suffered under their draconian rules for sixteen years.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul has been in their blood lines and exactly what they wanted to achieve when they woke up from their sleep with Buratai’s name on their lips. They think by robbing Buratai of his good name and achievements over the years they can simply pay the debt they owe every Nigerian who places a curse on their deeds and misdeeds for sixteen years as shoplifters in government.

I would have worried and stood aside if the ICPC did not clear the air on Buratai’s name. But I was confident that a person like General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, who served the longest as Army Chief would naturally be blinded by power to open up for a sucker punch as the PDP and its misfits want to sell to right thinking Nigerians.

Let me be so particularly with my comrade and National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Debo Ologunagbe. There are issues begging for publicity for PDP. He should be busy unwinding the issues of the sixteen years of looting because we are going into campaign soon and Nigerians have the records in their hands. Questions would certainly be asked about Atiku and the Book by Olusegun Obasanjo is only a summary of Atiku’s achievements between 1999 and 2007.

There is an ongoing battle to win back Governor Wike of Rivers. He should ask if governor Okowa was able to get the loan for $25 Billion to bankroll their campaign for 2023. Recently we read that PDP gave Obasanjo an ultimatum to retract his comments on Atiku and Nigerians want to know.

The last time we heard of OBJ was that he was riding a tricycle in Ogun meaning that he had joined the association of tricycle riders and was looking for legitimate living and would no longer be part of the un-repented club.

Ologunagbe and his misfits in PDP should be busy repackaging PDP the other way and look for another General in place of OBJ because from all indications General Buratai is too busy to attend to misfits. Records speak volume and no one is stopping PDP from approaching ICPC for the records

BURATAI: PDP OWNING TACTLESS CAMPAIGN STRATEGY. LEAVING SUBSTANCE CHASING SHADOWS

The attention of Fusion774 has been drawn to the circulating news of People Democratic Party (PDP), calling on Mr. President to recall the former Chief of Army Staff, Amb. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Lt. Gen. Rtd) the Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, from his place of assignment.

This is ill-conceived, tactless and inconsequential. The position of the PDP as widely reported by Nigerian print and online news platforms, has evoked reaction that portrays the PDP as a party lacking of campaign ideas, hence, dwelling on trivialities, issues that has been for long been addressed, the fact of the matter and the claim by PDP on ICPC Wuse 2, raid has been put to rest by ICPC and has come out to give their official statement on the matter, has also, dissociate itself from the misleading fake reports circulating.

Fusion774 sees this as a wrong move by PDP. Nigerians expect to hear what the party has in stocked for them if Nigerians should vote for the party in the coming 2023 general elections.

This is what you get when a political party is not prepared to provide quality leadership.

In an electioneering period like now, political parties come up with enlightened issues of national importance, issues that will appeal to voters, instead of play diversionary tactics.

We Nigerians want to hear the quality leadership you have in stock for us, in terms of addressing the hardship citizens are facing, governance reforms, economic development as a whole.

We want to hear informed analysis of the contents of your manifesto, that is if you have it, instead of dwelling on issues that has already been addressed, real position of the matter had already been made known to us, your strategy has no bearing on us and is lacking of campaign appeal.

It seems the PDP has lost focus, hence, abdicating the responsibility of proving to be prepared to deliver quality leadership for the country.

The leadership of Fusion is disappointed with this trend, as political support and Socio-economic advocacy group our resolve is to promote and ensure that quality leadership is entrenched in the country, our members cut across all political parties, and we can influenced voting pattern, our members who are also PDP members are lamenting on their disappointment with the leadership of the PDP, as in a very crucial time like this the party can't come up with issue based discussion. PDP members of Fusion 774 are urging the leadership to put their acts together, and to please face issues of national importance.

PoliticsPDP Feasting On Fake News, Afraid Of 2023 Election by Hunter2009(op): 12:22pm On Jul 04, 2022
PDP Feasting on Fake News, Afraid of 2023 Election

The National Democratic Front (NDF) is surprised at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s brazenness that made it weaponize fake news, launch it at the Nigerian public and went on to believe that there are no right-thinking people in the populace to find out its lies and manipulative ways.

NDF is particularly amused at PDP’s latest tirade directed at Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin Republic and former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and, Ambassador Tukur Buratai on the false allegation that the N1.85 billion recovered by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in a property in Abuja belonged to the accomplished retired Army boss.

It is common knowledge that Ambassador Buratai, through his lawyers and aides has unequivocally distanced himself from the recovered money and cars while the ICPC had also made it clear that the Ambassador was not a person of interest in its investigation that has already apprehended the Managing Director of K Salam Construction Company Nigeria Limited, Mr. Kabiru Salau, whose company is a military contractor.

The anti-graft agency had further clarified the cash and assets it recovered from the said property amounted to N267.43 million and not N1.85 billion, which leaves one wondering if the PDP is in touch with reality or rather absorbed in believing the fake news it is attempting to feed Nigerians.

The statement by PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, PDP, Debo Ologunagba that attempted to rehash the fake news that linked Ambassador Buratai to the phantom N1.85 recovered funds is so incoherent and disjointed that it was apparent the so-called opposition party has lost essence and sense of direction and only now feeds on fake news to justify its existence.

While it attempted to paint the outstanding former COAS as a corrupt person, PDP’s tenuous attempt to string together unrelated variables and create a nexus to the 2023 General Elections showed that the party fears the trouncing awaiting it at the polls hence the unreasonable fear that has left it grasping at straws in a bid to assemble the excuses it would give for being rejected by Nigerians yet again.

Rather than maligning the personality of persons that have sacrificed for the country, the PDP should direct its efforts at discussing issues since this is the only way political parties can pitch themselves to Nigerians.

NDF finds it necessary to advise the PDP to stop projecting its warped values on other political parties and public office holders since the fake crime it is accusing Ambassador Buratai of fits into the pattern of the looting that the party used to destroy Nigeria and precipitate the security crisis that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has grappled with.

Insecurity resulting from bad governance does not occur overnight but takes time to manifest and the fact that the security fallout resulting from PDP’s years of misrule manifested under the present government does not in any way absolve the party of responsibility for what it did to Nigeria.

We further urged the PDP to seek forgiveness from Nigerians and atone for its sins against the country in the hope that its members would one day be found worthy of being rehabilitated and reintegrated into mainstream politics and governance, which Nigerians presently think the party is unfit for. However, dishing out fake news about Ambassador Buratai and the incumbent government would only deepen the odiousness in which citizens hold the party owing to the magnitude of perversions its members committed in the office while the party held sway.

Osun Monarch, Olowu Of Kuta Warns Critics To Desist From Media Terrorism Against Buratai

A foremost Osun Traditional Ruler and Chairman Council of Owu Monarchs, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama, Tuesday contended that attribution of a house in Wuse, Abuja, where operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) raided and recovered huge cash and other luxury items to the former Chief of Army Staff, Ambassador Tukur Yusuf Buratai was a smear campaign.

The Olowu of Kuta kingdom has also described the attack as a “media terrorism against Buratai but urged those behind it to desist from the attack.”

Speaking during a press conference in his palace at Owu -Kuta on Tuesday, Oba Makama said those behind the attack on the person of Ambassador Buratai sponsored blackmail after several unsuccessful attempts to get him removed from office before his time.

Olowu flanked by other traditional rulers in Osun State said he’s ready to support any Nigerian that’s patriotic and have shown enough commitment to the unity of Nigeria like Buratai.

Describing the attempt by some faceless groups to tarnish the image of the former chief of army staff as effort in futility, the foremost traditional ruler said Buratai is of unimpeachable character worthy of emulation.

According to him “Let it be known that we have credible information that several faceless NGO (Non Governmental Organizations) have been paid to embark on campaign of calumny and destruction against the person of Buratai.

He opined that those trying to pull him him down Will have so many of Traditional Rulers to contend with, hence he urged those involved to desist from this Media terrorism.

“The misinforming reports, I stand to confirm, is purely malicious and another fabricated tale published to tarnish Ambassador Buratai’s brilliant image. But, this too has failed, because the ICPC’s official public statement has confirmed Buratai has no link with the said property or the cash and other items found in the building.”

Oba Makama attributed the attack on Ambassador Buratai to his milestone in the military as the longest serving chief.

“As you rightly know, Ambassador Buratai is not from Kuta. He is not an Owu person, but I stand for integrity. God himself has covered Buratai with garment of honour.

“He has neither own a house in Wuse. I pray they desist. I am supporting him with this address to the press, since I can always vouch for his excellent character and uncommon integrity. A Yoruba axiom says ‘if you pursue someone and you did not meet him, you make detour’.

“His years of meritorious service to his fatherland cannot be overlooked and as a patriot, having been tested and proven in his commitment to nation building.

“Ambassador Buratai has and is still serving Nigeria without any blemish despite the unwarranted attacks having chosen to serve without bias which is fetching him commendations almost on a regular basis.

“I make bold to say that Ambassador Buratai remains a man of immense honour. Therefore, he needs the support of all well-meaning Nigerians to succeed in his current assignment, notwithstanding the avoidable distractions.”

Oba Makama thereafter called on Nigerians to support Buratai to succeed in his bid to salvage the country at his present place of duty, rather than joining in the pull-him-down antics of those bent on smearing his hard earned honour and integrity.

According to our source, the choice of Ambassador Buratai as the new Garkuwan was based on his spectacular achievements and contributions to Keffi and Nigeria in general.

It would be recalled that the Former Chief of Army Staff, Retired Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai was conferred with an honorary chieftaincy title of Jagunmolu of Sakiland. He received the instruments/Certificate of Office from the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Oyedepo on Saturday, May 7th, 2022.

He was also conferred with the traditional tittle of Kauran Gusau, by the Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello.

BURATAI: SAHARA REPORTERS STOP MISLEADING US WITH YOUR FAKE NEWS.

The National Coordinator Fusion 774, a political support and Socio-economic advocacy group, Cmrd Sadiq Jikta, while reacting to a report by Sahara reporters and some online news media, on the report of 23rd June,2022. Involving Amb. T Y Buratai, the former Chief of Army staff (COAS) and Ambassador to Benin Republic, said;

"Our attention has been drawn to a malicious report by Sahara reporters titled: Exclusive: Anti_graft Agency, ICPC Uncovers Billions in Cash meant for Arms Ammunition To Fight Boko Haram in Abuja Home of Ex-Chief of Army Staff, other online news media also had shares of their misleading reports.

Those reports are unsubstantiated, fake, mischievous and the figment of their imagination. It is unfortunate that such widely followed news media platform will engage in smear campaign. Sahara reporters have the reputation for peddling fake news.

After I read through the misleading publications, I chatted with the Ambassador, called people around him, he was surprised in hearing the fake news himself.I even went further to calling a friend at ICPC who debunked the news and informed me of their official public statement that cleared the Ambassador.

I can authoritatively say that those reports were false targeted to smear and rubbish the image and reputation the gentleman have built for himself over the years.

I wonder what they intend to achieve by fabricating lies just for attacking his hard earned reputation.

How could someone that left office for over two years give out arm contract? This report is false in all totality. Does it mean he still run the office of the COAS even after retirement? This is ridiculous and sound too petty.

In case you don't know, let me give you a hint of the type of person that he is. A lot of contractors have approached him after leaving office to influence military contracts for them, but he declined, telling them to go and try their luck, that he doesn't believe in interfering in another man's job, that when he did his era he didn't condone interference. So he will not do it to his predecessors. Also when I heard of 50 watches and Rolex I laughed, this is someone that leads a moderate life style, any body that knows the Ambassador knows that he is not a flashy type of person.

It has been made known that available facts indicate that the property is not his, it is owned by owner of K Salam Construction Company, a military contractor. This is a misrepresentation of facts.

The good thing is ICPC have come out to give public statement dissociating him from the reports. This is just a media trial by some mischief makers. Period.

YouTube Hits Maureen Badejo Again, Yanks Her New Channel Opened to Defame Apostle Suleman

The Scriptures says of the unrelenting foes; “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated at your feet. They shall come out against you one way and flee seven ways."

Barely two weeks after her two prominent YouTube channels were removed for violating electronic broadcast rules, London based VLogger, Maureen Badejo, has suffered another blow. Her newly-acquired channel called 'Maureen Badejo TV, has again been brought down by YouTube.

A famous televangelist and general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, had few months ago, complained to the Google-owned video sharing platform of Badejo’s consistent attacks on his (Suleman’s) personality and his evangelism works using YouTube platform. The man of God later approached the law court to compel YouTube including Badejo and others for redress.

YouTube, in a written apology tagged ‘Outcome of Investigation’ to Suleman and seen by this medium, said; “Our internal team has completed their review and have taken appropriate actions in accordance with our policies, including the removal of videos that were found to violate our community guidelines. This has resulted in the termination of the channels, GIOTV Foundation and Maureenbadejosblog TV for violating our harassment and cyber-bullying policy.

Few days after the channels were yanked, Maureen Badejo opened new one purposely to continue her unprovoked attacks on Apostle Suleman. However, sources within the OFM church said, without a fresh formal complaint either by the cleric of any of his ministers or aides, the YouTube platform, which seemed to have been following Maureen since the last event, discovered her latest misadventure and promptly removed it.

An OFM top source stated that Apostle Suleman refused to make a fuss throughout Maureen's eight-month attacks because "he is naturally a tolerant and patient man. But once he starts a battle he doesn’t let go

Responding on behalf of Suleman, a top OFM minister said the servant of God has always relied on the Scriptures, which says; "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

Prophet Joshua Iginla Raises Prayers For Nigeria, Releases Strong Warnings Concerning 2023 Presidential Election ( Video)

The General Overseer Of Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla has raises an altar prayers for Nigeria over the forthcoming 2023 elections. And this is not unconnected to the grave vision he received concerning it. Aside the prayers which he enjoined both the youths, Christians and muslims to partake in, he also released strong prophetic warnings to Nigerians concerning the 2023 presidential elections.

During a live service at his South Africa branch, Prophet Joshua Iginla revealed that God spoke to him about sensitive things concerning the election especially on mysterious things that will happen and not the person that will emerge as the next president.

He started by appreciating the Youths for waking up and creating awareness on getting permanent voters card and commended Christian bodies for praying concerning the country.

Iginla reminded Nigerians of his 2022 new year prophecy that talked about the year being mysterious. He asserted that he stands by the word of God concerning the year, stating that God has only shown him part of what will happen.

‘’I know the moments are very sensitive in Nigeria and becomes of the sensitivity, God spoke to me about something very sensitive.I want to start by appreciating the youths of Nigeria for their gallant consciousness about the next election in 2023, Nigeria is a project in the hands of God and for the first time, the youths in my country woke up from their slumber, they are sensitive, matured, calculating, getting their voters card, May God strengthen you all.’’

‘’The Christian body; churches, pastors, prophets are also praying, so many school of thoughts, I want to appreciate everybody for what you are doing for this country. I remember saying at the beginning of this year that God spoke to me concerning 2023 and he said it is a year of mystery, I see light in darkness and darkness in light. I still stand on that position of what God said to me that we need to be very careful especially prophets, we should be very careful because it’s a mysterious year. Even me, I only see part of what God has shown me.’’

Prophet Joshua Iginla revealed that he is not going to mention the name of the next president of the country as he isn’t coming from that angle but what God has shown him which Nigerians need to pray about. He spoke in parables while noting that he is afraid to say what he saw.

Prophet Iginla asked Nigerians to pray for the current leaders to finish well and for the 2023 election to go smoothly without any roadblock and manipulation. He made it known that Nigerians need to pray against a conspiracy theory which is pregnant with a lot of meanings.

Continuing, He urged Nigerians to pray against the enemies of the country making moves that will make history repeat itself in an alarming form.

‘’Many are expecting me to mention a name but I’m coming from another perspective and this part is what we should pray about. I will speak in parable because I am afraid to say what I saw.’’

‘’Let us pray for our current leaders to finish well what they have started, let us pray for the 2023 election to go smoothly without any roadblock and manipulation. Let us pray against a conspiracy theory that I don’t want to explain, it is pregnant with a lot of meaning. While others are busy talking about who will become the next president, it is important we pray about this.’’

‘’Let us pray that the enemies will not throw Nigeria into total darkness before the election and after the election so that history will not repeat itself in an alarming form. Telling you the next president is not as important as this vision. Take note of everything I have said, when God reveals, he does to redeem, our prayers should be more that there should be no systematic failure.’’

52ND AGM: JULIUS BERGER DELIVERS HIGHEST DIVIDEND IN FIVE YEARS

Inside the venue of the 52nd Annual General Meeting of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc in Abuja recently, the excitement was pervasive and palpable. Dr Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, chairman of Julius Berger International, beamed and buoyed in pride as the construction behemoth he superintends its international operations, once again, defied the headwinds of the 2021 financial year to meet its targets. His joy is understandable.

For the first time in five years, the foremost engineering construction company paid out its highest dividend to shareholders. Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu, Chairman of the Board of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, said that although the company had challenges in the 2021 financial year, it excelled and overcame the challenges by dint of hard work and unflinching commitment to success by the management and staff.

While presenting the Consolidated Financial Statements of the year under review, Sunmonu said that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc performed positively despite the numerous macro-economic hiccups which affected businesses during the year. He added that the company achieved exceptional financial performance, meeting targets for both revenue and cash flow. “One for those challenges, of course, is COVID-19, which remains ever present in our personal and professional lives – with prolonged consequences. Unfortunately, we are unable to put this virus behind us just yet,” he said.

The chairman declared that while 2021 was certainly a challenging year, “It was also a dynamic and industrious year. Within our core construction business, we made meaningful progress across our portfolio of private and public projects.” He listed the projects to include the International Worship Centre, Uyo; the Office of the National Security Adviser in Abuja, and the Bodo-Bonny Road as well as infrastructure projects in Lagos and Rivers States, where Sunmonu added that the company supported the state governments “to achieve a remarkable infrastructure transformation within the year.”

Underscoring the shining example of trust the federal government placed on Julius Berger, the chairman harped on the priority projects of the government being financed via the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, saying that the company forged ahead with all of them including the Second River Niger Bridge and the Abuja-Kano Road “with our values, standards and capacities remaining core to our competitive edge.”

He stated that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc closed for the year under review “with a Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate of 0.19, equivalent to our 2020 results,” and that the various subsidiaries of the group also made reasonable progress in 2021.

Sunmonu promised that in 2022, “We will continue to work hard, remain resilient and champion progress in regard to the potentials ahead of us. We do not underestimate the effort or the endeavour it will take to achieve our vision, but we also do not underestimate our collective diligence and determination.”
In his remarks to shareholders at the AGM, the Managing Director, Engr.

Dr Lars Richter disclosed that the company stood strong in the year under review as the shareholders approved a N2.50k per share dividends. He said that the three pillars of Julius Berger’s business strategy - the core business, group subsidiaries and diversification - have remained central to all operations even as he shared an update on the company’s sustainability and inclusivity efforts, as well as on the company’s outlook for 2022 and beyond.

Richter declared, “Julius Berger continues to stand strong, our values are firmly in place and our reputation for reliable and quality delivery remains unmatched…. And within our core business we continue to realize meaningful progress across our portfolio of projects as a foundation for our continued success and growth.”

On the business trajectory of the company, Richter said Julius Berger continues to acquire new projects for major clients such as the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Lagos and Port Harcourt State, the Federal Ministry of Works.

Dr Richter also listed some successfully commissioned major projects to include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation office, several flyovers and civil infrastructural works in Port Harcourt; and the Rehabilitated Control Towers at Tincan Island and the Lagos Port Complex.
