BKayy: Your comment is the result of not taking break from Western Media.
It is a practical joke to compare wealth or poverty in communist countries to capitalist. In communist countries the wealth of the nation reflects on a greater percentage of the population compared to the capitalist country, which is why, as big as China is she doesn't have conditioned homeless people. Can the same be said about USA?
Do you know why they keep on feeding most of you with lies about communism especially on the "tyranny" stuff is because if many of you see the beauty in Communism/Socialism, you would have picked up guns. Do you know that before and even at the heat of US invasion of Iraq, Fuel was free? Same with Libya. Can this happen in Capitalist economy where few individuals hold the destiny of the masses in their pocket. For example less than 100 people hold the entire oil Wells of Nigeria.
So my dear, the sanctions can only affect rogue oligarchs not the average man in Russia. The West is even helping Communism. You don't take from the country and invest outside. So why were the Russian oligarchs putting all their money in the same west? The capitalist countries are far richer and live far better than your utopian communist countries. Why is Abrahamovic crying now? Do you know how much of Russia's foreign reserves is in dollars? $650mn and half of it has been frozen! How much of America's dollars is in rubbles? When Russian start starving to death without essential commodities, you will know human beings are the same whether communist or capitalist. Stop hyping Russia, it is a poor country that used it's limited wealth to pile up nukes rather than wealth, now that other countries are hitting it hard, Russia will have no option but to either sell it's nukes to feed or simply eat them. |

BKayy: Are you a Christian?
If you are, u believe you remember Joseph policy in Egypt when there was famine.
You do right? That is how communism work. It feeds on crisis and the saved resources by the government offsets the unforseen economic attacks on the state. Joseph was a Communist.
You can't crush a communist government by mere sanctions, that is why Russia is still exporting cheap food to countries eg Pakistan.
Before Russia started her own sanction, the West have already started the effect of her own sanction on Russia all thanks to capitalism. In all, communism feeds on loyalty while capitalism feeds on the poor. With this you can tell who can survive economic sanctions. You now understand why North Korea is still standing after being freezed from the world. What you wrote would have made sense if Putin had been practicing real communism, he was keeping majority of Russian poor, while having a horde of stinking rich overfed oligarchs close to him. Western countries are striking those oligarchs directly, the poor can survive poverty, they always have been poor, but you see the rich? They are weak, they can't even endure a small dip in their fortunes, they can get easily suicidal, Putin is aware of this that is why he has kept himself holed up somewhere away from easy access. The oligarchs when things get harder will incite the poor and Putin will get more desperate. At the end of the day the west will achieve what they had always wanted, a poor Russia that would not be able to rise against them, because she will be too busy trying to rebuild her economy! |

ManirBK: Good one how I wish the ban may cripple UK Government, I hate them a lot because their hypocrisy to Russia. It won't cripple any government apart from Russia's. This is double jeopardy, Russians have already seen the weakening of their currency, savings and investment have been wiped off and now Prices of goods and services will soar. This is an own goal. When Buhari closed the borders on rice, what happened to the price of rice? Russians are about to witness something worse! |
Politics › Re: Omokri Challenges 69-Year-Old Tinubu To Dance, Play Football Like Obasanjo At 85 by huptin(m): 11:06am On Mar 06, 2022 |
Dsalvo: You're kidding yourself. Anyone who does not restructure Nigeria, so he can teach a man to fish rather than give him fish to eat, is a failure.
OBJ and Jonathan, plus Buhari by the end of his tenure, are in that category regardless of any "prosperity" you think OBJ, Jonathan and Buhari gave Nigerians.
Your talk, to me, simply means you don't understand the enduring problems of Nigeria, from independence till now, and the solutions required.
Look at OBJ's devotion to "one Nigeria" and over-powerful, wasteful, unfeasibly bloated and ineffective centrist governance.
Compare that to Tinubu's obsession with freeing Lagos from the Crack-like addiction to federal allocation, the bane of Nigeria's development for decades now, that every Nigerian State is a 'junkie' slave to.
OBJ did nothing to change that status que for the better. He never worked to diversify the economy of Nigeria, leveraging on the strenghts/endowment and comparative advantages of every state, as Tinubu did brilliantly with Lagos.
If you are able to see what is obvious, and not like most Nigerians always seeking temporary 'awoof' in place of long-lasting and permanent solutions to socio-economic challenges, it will be clear to you who the much better and more visionary leader is.
Tinubu, with Lagos as testimony, is able to teach Nigerians how to fish instead of giving them fish today that global conditions tomorrow, like low crude price and negiblible crude demand, may ensure is not available for them to eat tomorrow or next week.
This vital observation, validated by how Tinubu and OBJ have led their political jurisdictions, i.e Lagos and Nigeria, is all the proof a wise man needs to note to make sensible conclusions. Why hasn't Tinubu told Buhari to restructure Nigeria ? Was Tinubu not one of those governors that destroyed local government autonomy that we are all feeling the pains today? Rather than focusing on quality education, didn't Tinubu encourage toutism and thuggery that has led to so many destitutes flooding the streets of Lagos, calling themselves agbero? Why has he not sent the list of the illegal 37 local council development areas to the senate to confirm them, Afterall APC has been in power for almost 8 years? Nigerians are not idiots? This Tinubu market no dey sell. Even Buhari no dey buy am! |
Politics › Re: Omokri Challenges 69-Year-Old Tinubu To Dance, Play Football Like Obasanjo At 85 by huptin(m): 8:07am On Mar 06, 2022 |
Dsalvo: Not a popular opinion but the truth is that most Nigerians are garbage human resources, in comparison to others, and the real reason Nigeria is the way it is.
Omokri is a pathetic and paid sycophants who has a deliberate agenda of deception to aid benefactors like Jonathan, Alison-Madueke, Atiku, PDP etal.
Yet it is the dumb responses Reno gets to his banal comments, meant for grade A olodos who cannot think critically, that is truly sad.
Is Tinubu running to replace Messi at PSG or Ronaldo at MANu?
Also, especially applicable to the dullards egging Omokri on, is OBJ now someone to celebrate and hold up as an example?
OBJ, as PDP President, imposed gangsters, looters and the worst possible calibre of leaders on the SW, as Governors, in his time. That was what OBJ, the "hero", did to his own people and region of origin.
What did Tinubu do? Fought OBJ relentlessly to get rid of "gangster" politics in the SW, 'sanitise' the olitics of the region and replace the goons of OBJ with world reknowned scholars, academics and technocrats like Fashola, Ajimobi, Amosun, Fayemi etal.
It is Tinubu who cleaned the SW political Augean Stables to the extent technocrats, performers and visionary folks from anywhere and any background, the sort who dare not get involved in Nigerian politics during OBJ's reign, can seek political office today and actually be voted into office.
Tinubu is a man always associated with positives and highly appreciated and well-regarded by his political peers far more than OBJ, GEJ, Buhari and other leaders we have had since 1999.
Only an ignoramus or a deliberate mischief-maker, like Omokri, would compare Tinubu with OBJ.
Tinubu, and it is 100% proven, can turn Nigeria round in even 2 years because of the calibre of people he will deploy everywhere and protect uncompromisingly to deliver for Nigeria.
Tinubu, unlike OBJ, Jonathan and even Buhari, does not do political expediency when it comes to critical leadership positions. That is one of his greatest strengths as a leaders others cannot match. It is the reason Lagos is miles ahead of all other Nigerian States today.
The likes of Fashola, Osinbajo, Ambode, Sanwo Olu and literally thousands of others have no business being politicians and would not be that but for Tinubu. Today they are all political leaders with positive achievements attached to their name because of the greatest name in Nigerian contemporary politics i.e Tinubu.
In the end, it is not very hard to see, from their asinine and dumb comment, that most Nigerians are tribalistic, hateful, divisive, wicked, frustrated souls and Lemmings who are incapable of seeing what matters and fully deserve the misrule and terrible Country they've gotten. Obasanjo despite all his shortcomings have been the best Nigerian president so far, his tenure saw tremendous prosperity never before seen in Nigeria's history, paid of all debts, saved up $64Bn, if Tinubu fought that kind of person but supports Buhari, then Tinubu is evil and fully deserves all the humiliation he has been and will be subjected to. Shikena! |

ArchiLimited: Hmm. Funny enough this is also how, some years down the line, Buhari's birthday will also be celebrated and the same we that are cursing him now will pour accolades on him. We cursed Obasanjo when he was president. Same thing Jonathan. Now they're both respected elder statesmen. Nigerians are always quick to forget. That's why these politicians are audacious. Because they know we will only shout and bicker for a limited time because we don't have staying power and we don't take interest in things for too long, then everything will go back to normal and then they can settle down to enjoy their stolen wealth. Then the cycle starts again. Only envious people were cursing Obasanjo as a president, he had his faults but his tenure ushered in such prosperity never before seen in Nigeria's history, so rich was Nigeria that not only did Nigeria pay back her debts, Obasanjo saved up over $64Bn only idiots will curse such a man. |

2) if the Ukrainian war ends today and in a decade from now the US invades another Arab country and people are being bombed to ashes as usual ,mother's loosing their children ,and children equally becoming orphans will you condemn it?will you trend it on social media, will you create threads on nairaland to condemn it or support us because they are Arabs right?. Did you know Ukraine army killed 14,000 eastern Russians in 2014? You wouldn't know because western media will hide it from you.

The Russia needs only one successful Nuke to make the whole of US to cower and they have thousands of it. You should stop over hyping Russia, Russia in the extreme case can only hit NATO allies in eurpoe his precision guided missiles can still not hit the US, you can confirm that! But the US has the nukes and the precision guided missiles to destroy Russia at a whim! Russia knows this, that is why it has refused to attack NATO allies like Poland who have defied Russia's threat by openly supporting Ukraine with millitary equipment and intelligence. Or were you thinking Ukraine is actually able to face Russia on her own? The game NATO is playing is simple: support Ukraine make it look as if it is Ukraine giving Russia a bloody nose to humiliate Russia, if this fails, NATO will get involved and there will be no winners but Russia will feel it, Russia will surely feel it sooo bad, Putin will be removed forcefully and the west will use that as an excuse to penetrate and actually control Russia' nuclear threat! |
