In as much as I don't see PDP becoming the senate presidency, I see the cracks in APC already showing the jagaban thinks he's a Godfather of nigeria. We yourbas always delusional about other tribes. Always thinking we are tribal supermacist. To those who feel APC can neva vote PDP politics is a game of interest. It might just be the same way jagaban helped built the party he would help destroy it. He shold know you win some you loose some.
If jagaban realises is candidate for Senate presidency is not nominated as the consensus with speakership not sure for him
He might decided to check mate hausa influence

Politics › Wike Orders Perm Secs To Produce 18-month Account Detail by HzRF(op): 3:08am On Jun 03, 2015
The RIVERS State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has directed permanent secretaries in the state to produce account details of their ministries’ expenditure over the last 18 months.

Wike also advised the permanent secretaries to shun partisan politics as career civil servants, adding that the role some of them played in the closing days of the immediate past administration was politically-motivated.

The governor, who addressed the permanent secretaries during a meeting at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday, expressed regret that some of them helped the immediate past administration to illegally withdraw funds from government coffers up to May 28, 2015.

“I want full details and printout of every ministry’s account in the last 18 months. I will not accept any handover note without an accompanying account details.

“The government was coming to a close and some of you were busy signing cheques on 26th, 27th and 28th of May. On May 28, the Transition Committee called most of you and you refused to cooperate because they told you I would not be sworn in,” Wike told the permanent secretaries.

The governor, who promised that he would not embark on a witch-hunt of any civil servant irrespective of his role during the electioneering period, maintained that no civil servant would be allowed to sabotage the efforts of his administration.

He, however, urged the permanent secretaries to work with his administration to revive the state and put back smiles on the faces of the people.

The governor added that all backdated employments and indiscriminate issuance of certificates of occupancy by the immediate past administration would be re-visited.

Wike specifically directed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Survey to produce relevant land documents for examination.

The permanent secretaries were led to the meeting by the Head of Service, Mr. Samuel Longjohn.

He does this everyday of the week since he travel almost everyday in and out. At a point airport staff nearly reject the money to attack him to pay his workers instead but some Oga restrained that action. I wonder why he's not under impeachment threat.

Politics › Osun State Needs Bail Out Then Probe-hzrf by HzRF(op): 11:07am On Jun 02, 2015
Osun State Needs urgent help, osun State is fast approaching a 'joke " status . if our president is still on this stance that" no bail out " I pray we don't have a" Mexico " in osun State

Sdp calls for probing of osun State government which is laudable but the right step now as I type Is to bail Aregbe government out, probing can den follow, in fact buhari needs not to probe cause d filth in osun government is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind
If the 7 months salaries, deduction since August, pension contributions for (22 months) got remitted today many workers in the State would only breath a sigh of relief d impact won't be felt immediately as bank loans have swollen getting ready to burst personally I know 5 pple in this mess

Presently ede water dam (about 15-20min drive from my house in owode ede)has switch to "black out " model common man no longer benefit from the usefulness of the dam as IBDEC(a non charitable organizations) has disconnected the wire transmitting light in fact they reportedly took all the fuse due to the debt on ground, Abere "osun State secretariat" has been experiencing light out for more than 3 weeks
Again IBDEC was at work, Governor's office and other important office now operate thanks to generator

The strike embark on by the workers is a "waste of time" cause the problem is not "I have money but I won't pay" the problem is "no money to pay". What a shame gone are the days during oyinlola's regime when workers strike by 8am and 4hrs later the strike will end because oyinlola don't joke with workers welfare yet no ECA, SURE-P, allocation osun still at 3bn back then
Buhari should come and help we osun pple out "when a director in civil service has turn to a chronic debtor" hw will level 4 officer cope?. Buhari should Pls bail us out and if possible oversees the bailing out personally cause first Bank has turn to "fruit(money) ninja ready with knives to cut any money that intentionally or unintentionally enters into osun govt acct" after all they nt motherless babies home they are for profit making

Many can't Feed again, even d few that has little will be forced to give out when u see d condition of others,in my area two workers level 7 Nd 9 nw sell moi moi and Rice respectively,My mum is not left out my mum nw sell kerosene in bottle and litres
Help is what we need right now. Pls help sound it till president get to knw

Some pple case is just "worse"
Yet aregbe travelled to London and Cuba, state throttling expecially lagos and Abuja well his case is another topic for another day

Wike is just being silly. He is currently the governor. If he is so sure of his allegations, let him petition his security agents and ask the state lawyers to get to work in prosecuting Amaechi for theft.
It's also possible that wikes thug probably did the looting as soon as Amaechi left knowing fully well that wike will replace them and pin it down on amaechi.

Wike is just being mischievous. This is the only way the PDP roll. they prefer to go to AIT to tell the whole world that Tinubu is a thief when all they could have done was to prosecute him. Wike is threading the same path. A very foolish path. Only fools will fall for such.

Politics › Ijaw Youths Criticize Buhari’s Comment On Termination Of Amnesty by HzRF(op): 1:58am On Jun 01, 2015
The December deadline set by President Muhammadu Buhari for the termination of the presidential amnesty programme for ex- militants in the Niger Delta has drawn the ire of Niger Delta youths and former militants, with the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, and ex-militants under the aegis of Third Phase Amnesty, faulting the deadline.

IYC expressed disappointment that the President failed to address key issues dear to the Niger Delta such as clean up of the environment, implementation of the United Nations Environmental Programme, UNEP report on Ogoni and tackling the menace of oil theft which has greatly contributed to environmental degradation in the Niger Delta region which he promised to tackle during his presidential campaigns.

The Ijaw youth body, in a statement by its spokesman, Eric Omare, said: “We appreciate the fact that the amnesty programme cannot continue forever and therefore, must have a terminal date.

However, the questions on the lips of beneficiaries and stakeholders in the Niger Delta are: What would happen to those that have not been trained as at December, 2015 and those still undergoing training or have not completed their training?

“Terminating the programme will throw up challenges for beneficiaries of the programme who are still undergoing training and are at different levels of their training. We expect the Federal Government to address the fear of these classes of ex-agitators who are in different parts of the world and are worried that their trainings may be affected if the programme is terminated in December, 2015.

“The case of a substantial number of ex-agitators who have not been trained is even more worrisome. We call on the Buhari government to address these challenges before the programme is terminated.”

On their part, the Third Phase Amnesty ex-militants in a statement by their National Secretary, Tam Odogwu, described the statement as shocking, noting that the programme has contributed immensely to the relative peace and stability in the Niger Delta region, which has boosted the production and exportation of crude oil.

He said the that Niger Delta ex-agitators congratulate President Buhari for his smooth and peaceful swearing-in ceremony in Abuja.

“Indeed, it was victory for Nigerians and Nigeria in the comity of nations.

“Nevertheless, we are shocked by the statement made by Buhari as regards the Niger Delta. We want to unequivocally state here that we reject the deadline of terminating amnesty programme by December 2015.

“We are very ready to support Buhari’s administration but we will not support the plan to end the amnesty programme and will resist any attempt to do so because it will mean another round of injustice.”
