For some reason we females don't like when men give us too much attention in the process of courtship. Maybe you should lessen your presence. Let her miss you. If you are truly a man that doesn't play games and you want this woman. Show it. Showing is very important. Do things that show you are a man worth investing time and effort in. So when you aren't around as much she'd realise that there's something missing. Then she'd be the one to call and text and eventually let her feelings be known. Nsukka-born Emeka Nelson claims to have invented a generator that runs on water, a machine for recycling non-biodegradable wastes. His third invention, a bio digester, is under development.

A graduate of the National Metallurgical Training Institute has started a fundraising campaign on social media trough his partner, Karo Kanye Akamune. Apparently, the young man needs at least N1,000,000 (about $5,000) right now for continuation of his research and products’ improvements. The next step is to collect two million naira from angel investors.

“Creative and inventive minds in Africa should be identified, supported and celebrated. Instead of marrying a third wife or building a forth house you would hardly ever sleep in, invest that money in people like Emeka Nelson,” Karo Kanye Akamune urges Nigerians on Facebook.

Emeka runs his private company, Creative E Machines, based in Awka, Nigeria.

“I can imagine a world where human feaces, urine etc are turned into cooking gas and best of fertilizers for our farmers.

“I can imagine a society where this machine replaces all our soak away and pit latrine toilet systems. Creative minds tech team is working on it now,” the scientist/engineer wrote in his post dated February 6, announcing the new invention.


“Always remember, a country that does not produce man-made goods and services will always lag behind,” Karo Kanye Akamune notes.

I received a call from the Hr unit that they are sending 5 Trainees to me for confirmation. I was surprised because they didn't give me a prior notice. When I Queried the lady from the Hr unit she said the Senior Partner (HOD) contacted them that he will travelling to the UK that I can go ahead with the confirmation.

I was a bit nervous because I find it difficult relating with people, what do I ask them? Moreover I have too much on my hands already. I told Hr to give me an hour so that I can coordinate myself ....The truth is if you confirm a trainee and He/she under performs, it tells badly on your record. Here I am always striving to maintain a spotless record now this challenge doesn't look good.

Exactly an hour later Hr unit called again that they are on their way, I told her to take them to the conference room.....30mins later I joined them Lo and Behold I saw 5 well dressed gentlemen and ladies 3 guys and 2 ladies. I stared at them and they were looking back at me (which kind witch be this I said to myself) They thought I was testing them truth is I don't even know what to say or ask....."tell me your names I started".....after all the blah blah.....i went through their cv's it was good. 3 had first class. it was B.A trainee, I looked at their aptitude test performances read their essays great; yet I didn't know what further qstns to ask. So I wrote down a simple arithmetic on the board and I gave them 90s to solve. Only one got it right within the time frame (A lady!!!!; she bagged First class from Reading University UK). I thanked them for their interest in joining us. I sent my remarks to Hr and they were shocked. Hr Manager had to call me explaining that they have spent so such on the recruitment exercise and approving just one means they have to continue the exercise. I simply told him Mr ***a** you can confirm the rest.

Aella Credit, the tech-powered online lender, is closing in on a $8m funding round with a Consortium of US Based Investors and Debt Funders.

According to a reliable source, investors have already agreed to equity funding that would value Aella Credit at over $10 million. “The final paperwork has been signed and the round will officially close in the coming weeks,” our source said. We have reached out Aella Credit’s founders for confirmation. However they have held back on making any official statements for now.

Aella Credit disbursed over $1m in loans to about 1,100 borrowers in the course of its soft launch of operations. It has managed to do this while pulling of a 0% default rate. Aella Credit will launch its mobile lending application targeted at the low income segment of the population with smartphones in the first quarter of 2016. The application will be driven by Aella’s current algorithm and mobile phone data.

Aella Credit recently participated in the Barclays Techlab Africa Demo Day and has been acclaimed to be one of the seven start ups to look out for in Nigeria in 2016.
