WES don't evaluate exemption without exam.
ACA would exempt you from applied knowledge and skills.
If you need to add a second certificate, you'll have to forfeit your exemption and sit the applied knowledge level exam (f1-f3). This can be evaluated by WES to give you a second certificate.

Good luck!

Thanks alot for this.

Please i have a question. Lets say i enter the EE pool but at the time I didn’t have TEF. What happens if i get TEF subsequently? Can i go back to update my profile and increase my CRS? Pardon me if this has been answered previously

I agree 100% but there’s also a portion of blame for people that intentionally lead others astray and violate the existing fabric of trust. My entire funds are trapped in Oando and i cant even sell because of that guy

OANDO Plc
Impressive 2021 financials. Not out of the woods yet.

The Notes to the accounts are important. Kindly review the Notes, especially Note 50 on Going Concern.

For the minority shareholders projecting to defeat the delisting plan, the court requires 3/4th votes to approve it. Significant shareholders already control 74% and will determine the outcome.

Just my observations.

I’m sorry for speaking out against you when you challenged those promoting Oando

I hope no one listens to this guy anymore on this thread. You and your numerous alternates like Mikeapolo, ProphetUtuocha etc should actually be banned. This is sad.

Now my entire capital is trapped there and loosing value because of you. You didn’t sound like you were guessing when you were promoting it. If only i knew it was for your personal and selfish gains.

I’m sure you also benefit from the posts of genuine people here, why repay them with evil?

Guys please is ACCA F1-F3 accepted as 2 or more certificates? I have been reading conflicting info about this. If i obtain exemption with my ACA and collect the diploma cert, would it still count as an equivalent or canadian diploma? Thanks

A friend needs an advice...

He has 30k usd invested. He gets 5% annually as interest in usd...
5% interest on 30,000 annually is 1500usd
1500 * 740 = 1,110,000 in naira

He then noticed that if he had converted the money to naira, his interest would have been much better because the interest on naira is around 10% - 14%...
30000 * 740 = 22,200,000
10% interest on 22,200,000 annually is 2,220,000

Now, he's contemplating on whether to convert his money to naira for fast growth or leave it in usd. And at the same time, he is scared of naira devaluation. Anyone?

Hey pal. Hope you have your answer now? When you made this post, dollar was 740 naira but today, it is 1000.

In a do nothing scenario, your 30k usd would be 30M naira today whereas if you had converted the money then to naira to get the 22M, you would have lost out by 7.8M naira as at today.

Your 30K dollars when converted to naira at the time you made this post is now worth 22K dollars

This is from devaluation alone.

Lets assume you even got a naira mutual fund of 17% when you made this post, the naira would have been projected to grow to 25M in a year but just in 6months alone, dollar has gained far more than what you were aiming to gain in naira in a year.

I have not even factored the 5% interest rate of the dollar mutual fund yet. This is just a do nothing scenario on the dollar side.

Surprised all those commenting on OANDO were only posting to laugh those in the bus but not proferring any solution to them........What a forum!! undecided

Bros, as it is, don't sell your OANDO at loss, most of those laughing and making "I told you so" posts already benefitted from this stock and you know their next target? To use mouth to batter it so much and create fear in the mind of holders so the price could go down so low, then, the next posts you shall be seeing is " I already jumped inside the bus again, we will ride it to so and so price".

Never trust the intentions of some of the people on this forum!! Someone once mentioned that no one have the interest of another at heart here .......but I'll say, very very few still have the interest of others at heart.

As it is, OANDO is not disappearing from NGX!!
Let's even say it goes back to N6, there's a way you could go about it and come out without loss, especially if you still have spare funds.........and if you don't have spare funds, just be patient ....it may require time but there'll be a way out of it.

None of those posting knows what the next line of action will be on the stock, most of the posts are assumptions.

This is my opinion on it.

Thanks soo much. To think the people i relied on before buying Oando are now backtracking is sad. Folks should always post with caveats please especially if its a sentimental opinion

The cross petition filed by Oando and the Court's order for a Scheme of Arrangement do not take away the right of the minority shareholders to vote and decide whether to accept or reject the action of the 14 shareholders.
The minority shareholders will still vote at the EGM to decide the fate of the 14 litigant shareholders before anything else can happen.

You’re right. The last paragraph of that document says the court will only allow it when the minority shareholders approve of it.

Also, i dont think OANDO is complicit in this because if they really wanted to delist, they would have been the ones to buy out the minority and not OODP because they had the choice going by that document
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Iamblessed85: 5:45pm On Sep 22, 2023
austinkenneth:
.

The last paragraph says “if approved by all the minority shareholders”. OODP is not a minority shareholder and i dont think they are eligible to vote.

Also, would OANDO not prefer to buy up the shares for themselves as against OODP? If anything, i foresee OANDO scheming to frustrate OODP out of the process
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Iamblessed85: 5:37pm On Sep 22, 2023
mikeapollo:

This is clearly stated in the last paragraph:

Today, OODP has a shareholding of 57.37% in Oando PLC and the above-mentioned minority
shareholders 42.63% shareholding. This action precipitated by the petition from certain Oando
minority shareholders, if approved by all the minority shareholders at the court-ordered meeting
will result in a voluntary delisting of the Company’s shareholding on the NGX in accordance with
its guidelines for delisting of securities .

I foresee the shareholders rejecting that offer even with the FY21 results. When FY22 result is released, OANDO will be on its way to 100 naira. I pray the result is even released before the court ordered AGM.

Correct.

But before that, this:

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36201_OANDO_PLC-OANDO_PLC__CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE_2022.pdf

So the court case of october 10 is just to apprise the court of the status of the scheme of arrangement and not a sanctioning of the move. At what point will the shareholders decide whether or not to agree to the decision? I think in this case, it’s the minority shareholders that count and not the majority.

Even the answers to some of the puzzle we seek is steering at us in this post you've quoted, just that some persons haven't managed to read btw the lines to comprehend matters.

Let me help out with a hint;
This isn't the 1st time the auditors of the coy is issuing a red flag (OANDO has had WC constrain for sometime), but this is the 1st time the auditors have highlighted the progress made including a would-be solution that can reverse the recent trend and possibly set the company on a trajectory of profitability and sustainable growth.
And what's that? Debt restructuring and a follow-up deleveraging! ...which is something the company has already begun. (am sure you read that from the NTS)

Everyone knows I also use to have a strong reservation about the company in the past.
I remember advising folks to immediately exit their holding at the time the coy was trading for N41+. (was practically screaming at the time)
Time and again, I also highlighted these red flags and more.

Hear this; the simple explanation to the history of OANDO's problem is that of FUNDING MISMATCH... which led to working capital challenges and increased their debt burden. (ref: galloping EFIR but decelerating CCC/CGPR)
For a lack of commensurate earnings drive (NIS was often in the negative), those challenges exacerbated, especially because the banks, at the time, refuted the idea of debt restructuring to give their LB a new face lift.

Things are starting to change now. This change will most likely "build a new foundation and birth a measurable but positive trajectory" for the company.
There's a reason the banks are now queuing up to help with the much needed restructuring. Why? Well 1st off, is the thing about top-down approach to value investing. (which I'll advice some persons to go read up)
The banks know this and they know "peace".

A restructuring implies that a part of current and subsequent earnings can now be utilized for other company-related matters aside interest expense (ref: >> NIS, CGPM, JPBG etc), and in time improved AsQ/AsY.

Am not sure some of us understand what's playing out in OANDO at the moment.
I'll suggest you dig up some of my previous post on the coy, see the concerns I raised then and compare it to some of the items I mentioned of recent.

There are lots I could say but I really don't have that much time.
I just hope we don't lament missing out on the opportunity of talking a position in the coy in the course of time.
As I stated before; OANDO can get to btw N20-25 before our very eyes. Of course the uptrend will not be a straight one, there will be 'bumps' in pricing respecting technicals, but with OANDO, prospect is currently looking up.

It's a mid-term play!

Selah

You’re good!

I don't know the date yet. But the court case is around October 10, 2023. That is what will determine further direction / action in the matter.
I have a feeling that the shareholders would discontinue and withdraw the case, and we go back to status quo ante .

Okay thanks alot. I foresee the shareholders withdrawing the case too. Some of them are accumulating right now 😁

A lot of people don't really understand the whole story. But as typical Nigerians, they are just quick to form conspiracy theories especially if one big rich man or politician is involved e.g."Tinubu" .
I am not a fan of Tinubu, but the buyout was instigated by SOME (not all) minority shareholders who were tired of the long wait for Oando's fortunes to turnaround. And Oando is mandated to respond with an offer based on CAMA/SEC regulations. So they offered a conservative N7.07 according to the law i.e. a minimum price not below the average price on the NSE over 6 months prior to the court case.
That N7.07 offer is dead and buried because it will be rejected 100 percent!
Just waiting for the court-ordered AGM and the FY2022 results !

Exactly my point.

Do you know when the AGM will take place?

Oga you get time.My target is for oando to reach #20 before the Agm.So I call see the batch I bought long time ago at#18.i can't buy oando above the delisting price. No minority share holder can stop wale if he is bent on delisting at 7 plus. You no see plenty Monkey Hunting dey for oando matter. Go check my old post I called oando out long before all this Hunting. But I still said my buying price was #5.50 then as max.which yeye minority share holders wan stop wale if he says this is the end.Have the minority shareholders been able to stop him from carrying out any decisions in the past.

He striped oando of all the assets in the pass and no one could cough na now his big bro dey incharge you wan make noise...you wan collect .

Actually, it’s the minority shareholders that were pushing for the delisting and not Wale. That’s the funny part. The minority shareholders instituted the court action and it was reasonable at the time but not anymore. Anyone can see that Oando actually has a bright future. The upward trajectory of the share price says alot. Day in day out we have watched the price increase and this was before they even released their results. Is it not the minority shareholders that are even topping up shares 😁

What I don’t understand is what Wale stands to gain if the company delists? For a company that is trying to stay liquid, a massive pay out to share holders may not be their preference at this time.

Again it depends.........
If you lock your Order in for, let's say 7 days, it will remain there if you don't cancel it.......but it may no longer be visible on the table once the +/-10% daily up/down limit has passed the price junction.

Once it comes around the price again, you'll see it.......provided the 7days has not elapsed..... Except you cancel the Order by yourself.

Hope my explanation is understandable self. Don't mind me, na night school I go. grin

It depends on the brokerage house you're using.........if they allow Order to stay for execution for more than a day.

If it's Morgan Capital anyway, you'll have to make fresh Order the next day..........because the Order you placed today will expire by close of biz/market for each day.

Thanks but lets say order stays for more than a day, would the old order not become stale since price has gone up? Before the order is fulfilled, the price would have to come down to the limit you set right?
