Remember going for ndlea exams in Kano...got there late so I took the only Keke in sight to the nearest hotel, got to a location Called sabon gari, Omo the first impression of the place was wow my perception of the state was absolutely wrong cos Omo everywhere dy jaye jaye... So I lodged in one hotel like that, the bed spread was stained with semen, the lousy tv I saw was like 7 inch I doubt if my phone wasnt even bigger than it... Asked for another room Omo they said no room left and true to their word the place was filled, I chest am as a man with mental note to sleep on the chair, ate drank and later came back to my room.... Then boom 11pm they off the gen


If someone had told me niggur you re in hell I won't even argue a bit, plus the mosquito were on steroids con see where mosquito they raise balnket to come suck your blood then the most interesting part.... The sound of music wey I dy hear from everyroom ehn, e b like they open pornhub for the hotel, Omo ha ho ha ho wayo Allah I just dy hear.... All in all Sha Kano fine, can't wait to go n jollificate there again though in a better hotel

I unfortunately went to this hotel around Abule Egba in Lagos and paid #5000 for the night only to find out that the Gen wasn't working around 10 pm when it was supposed to be on. That was not even the problem. In my whole life , I have never seen a place with so much mosquitoes and rat. I am not kidding ooo. Despite using insecticide before entering the room , It was just too much.

Me and the babe went to stay outside till day break and we couldn't do anything. Till today, i still have not stopped apologizing to her..

I made sure I collect back part of the money I paid sha.


Another was the haunted hotel around Iyaro in Benin... Bed was well spread before I enter and I just dropped my bag , went straight to the bathroom but when I came out , the bed was in disarray.
I tried to make sense of it and I arranged it again before going out to get something to eat.... The moment I closed the door to the room , I heard a sound and I quickly opened the door...I saw everything scattered again, my bag was slightly opened.. Me I run ooo... I was given another room but couldn't sleep till day break...

Please I live in Benin. Can you tell me the name of the hotel and the room number.

I just bought this Ford e150 2002 bus for 1.4m

I have even used it last night to move some of my neighbours stuff.

She was my girlfriend oooo..She was suffering from Jinn possession but I stayed with her because I love her..She's been having crisis but not that serious one...That day just before morning assembly I saw people running and screaming downstairs...I went to take a look because I love exploring.. It happens that almost a decade ago,l just came to Lagos as a Medical lab Scientist,trying to manage at a place to keep body and soul together,60k the pay.l kept on creating other time to search for job opportunities in health n submit CVs randomly to big hospitals l know around.managing with an uncle who left his apartment for another but avnt pack fully,l and rat became best of frnds in this face me l face you room.have to endure this situation. My gf then technically break up cos he couldnt cope wt such room,happy she did later.
One particular day l was about to submit CV around some big hospitals in Lagos,that is how l had a terrible accident while trying to highlight from d Red BRT.I slip n av to b in the middle of two brt buses am highlighting from n an on-coming blue brt.its just by the grace of God tyre didnt slam my head.had little bruises n trouser torn.this accident happen around that side wen one is abt to cross to oshodi on ikorodu road..
With this incidence the only option left is for me to go back home but l told mysef l won't, it must av been am closer to getting sumtin good for that to happen.
I dust mysef up,move around,submitted one or two CV that day,few weeks later one of the two places I submitted cv n license call me for interview.
I cn remember we were 11 in number,this big hospital just need one Scientist o with specialty in Haematology of which we all Haematology Specialist after their shortlist.
Interview started with written,question plenty but l told myself this is my opportunity to make sumtin better for myself,with anger mixed wt determination to succeed l wrote the written exams.By the grace of God 5 of us scale through to next round.
Next round was practical,l did it to d best of my ability.
3 of us scale through...
And finally On to Oral interview..

After a month of this l was called just like a dream to come n pick my appointment letter.

Truth is that your mindset can make or mar you in life.

If you believe that you will get a well paying job without connections immediately after your NYSC AND work towards that goal, it can be achieved. At most you spend a few months at home but you will reach that goal.

If you believe nobody gets a well paying job in Nigeria without connection, you're less likely to work towards getting such jobs and you will definitely not achieve that.

If you believe you can you're right. If you believe you cannot, you're also right.

I was working as a security in the company. Meanwhile, my salary was 25k. 2018,one of their worker resigned and they were trying to fill the space.. i met with the operational manager and i told him that I am a graduate. he didn't believed until he asked me to provide my certificate. i presented it and the man was shocked. God so good. they did not interview me. they employed me immediately all because i have been working with them for over three years. now, my salary is 350k. glory be to God

First one

My friend sent in my CV and I was called for an interview. The HR manager who was conducting the interview studied French and I had done some months in a French school which was on my CV. She switched the interview to French and I was responding same. Others on the panel were just watching us .

After the interview, someone on the panel said I should rest assured that I had already got the job. And I got it.


Second

It was a full time writing job and I was given a test with a topic to write on. My article was preferred by the senior writer who was supposed access us. But apparently, the group head was threatened because I was going to be working with her husband (that was what I heard later).

So, they went with someone else against the senior writer's recommendation. A month or 2 after, I was called to come resume. They had fired the group head and in turn fired the person she employed. I resumed immediately.

Without connections, I do it by using valuable resources available to me like;

1. Career sites (My Jobmag, Hot Nigerian Jobs, Certain twitter handles etc)

2. Lovely individuals in my life (siblings, former coworkers & friends) who send me job ads, they think I qualify for or should try out. Note: They don't have any connections to these jobs or within the organizations either. I still have to go through a legit recruitment process.

3. My God and my creator. I don't pray insisting that I must get the job, I humbly request He does what is best for me, because He is a better judge of what I need, than I am.

4. Then I get to work doing my part diligently, by applying for advertised jobs, following application rules, being responsive to follow up emails from recruiters, preping well for interviews, showing up and doing my best.

I work to impress but I also make sure an employer impresses me, interviews are always a two way street for me, where I am assessing an employer back as much as they are assessing me. It is not every interview invitation I accept or honour, if I do my research on a company and I don't like what I see, I nicely decline an interview.

I'm a civil engineer and into building construction,I get my jobs through referrals..99% of jobs in Nigeria is through one connection or the other, especially government jobs.



The jobs that people gets mostly without connections are low paying salary jobs.

We like deceiving ourselves in this country,all the people talking about skills here,do you know how many graduates out there with skills that are now into operating of POS,UBER, BOLTS and so on

Good evening sir. I had a dream that's been troubling me. I live with my mom, older brother my nephew(my sister's son). I had a dream that we (I, my mom, brother and nephew) were running away from something (I don't know what it was particularly). We were taking shortcuts to get away. I was carrying my nephew and all of a sudden, I saw a different version of him playing on the streets. I quickly told him to close his eyes. He did at first, but then he opened it and he started losing his hold around my neck. I realized that he was passing out. I raised my voice to notify the rest of my family, then I quickly turned back to see if I can get hold of the second version of him, but he was gone. And that's how I woke up.

Please what does it mean? I think this is the first time I've ever dreamed of this kid since he was born, and I'm like a father to him.

So if employer didn't pay December salary, what happened to his November, October, September salaries? Without December salary he won't eat? If that's the case, it means he doesn't deserve any job if he cannot save.
