Useless biased write up. Maybe when Igbos learn to behave like civilised beings.
PoliticsRe: Who Owns Lagos? By Sam Omatseye by ibedun: 5:11pm On Apr 14, 2015
pendicle:
It is the modern day western wannabe lifestyle that is rubbing off on our culture and believes. Will this nyamiris go to Oshogbo and say it is no man' s land when they see them do Osun Festival yearly, yet you will see some Yoruba pastors and imams saying it should be scrapped.

The late Ayangburen of Ikorodu had wanted to stop the Isemo days or that they should shift the events to only nights few years ago cos of civilization but it was the traditional institutions and elites such as T.O.S Benson who warned him seriously, it even led to open confrontation between the two of them, now the lesson that those who says those cultural and traditional events should be continued is now open to all who opposed it.

Lagos have many abandoned traditional events aside the popular eyo festival even the spiritual aspect of the eyo have been jettisoned to accommodate more synchronization with modern times, who born bastards to watch when the Adamu Orisha procession comes out.

There will be so many rejuvenation of old cultural and traditional events in Lagos. The Oba has already given go ahead. The palace have realized many mistakes of the past and trust me, the saros and the Brazilian quarters have been informed on what to do, the various traditional houses and title and land owners from the ojoras to the onilegbale to the onikoyis and other houses are marshalling out plans to deal with the issue.

What have been buried will be uprooted and it won't be an open and clear thing, we will deal with them the traditional and cultural way. The way they rushed in they will rush out with their tails behind they sorry azzes.

Imagine awon omo ale daring the ELEKO on his land. They want lessons in history and surely they will be taught. The process and procedure already with those who are dealing with it.
I seriously hope this is the case. We must re-emphasise our Yoruba culture and we need leadership - from the Obas and the institutions you have mentioned. No amount of modernity is worth the loss of our heritage.

The Igbos went beyond too far.

Sir Emeka is okay as he is married to a Yoruba woman.

I love to see Igbos turn stones to gold in Igboland first then I would believe the above. Hairy chest beating villagers.

I take this back completely having just realised his wife is Yoruba.

Sir Emeka, my sincerest apology. I did not realise you have become the son of the soil and through that marriage you have solidified your bond with our land.

This is the only route to legitimacy in any foreign land. May you prosper in the Lagos HoA but remember o!, your loyalty is to your adopted land now and I suspect that is where your children would grow up. You need to assist with passing the legislation that would stop the selling and transfer of our land to visitors from the East.

Good luck Sir Emeka.

He has the right to support his candidate but he cannot impose his political will on others. That man is a power drunk werey and a disgrace to the Lagos royal stool
Just remember how far from home you are. Being a Nigerian does not and will never make you a Yoruba or Lagosian. The anger that bubbled to the surface during the Guber has not gone away. You are a Nigerian no doubt, a Yoruba or Lagosian never! Try all you like.

EVERY EVIL DESIGN AGAINST A PEACE-LOVING PEOPLE SHALL SURELY FAIL! I only pity you and your likes. You will surely meet your waterloo. When you do not allow people to exercise their freewill. You will lose your freedom yourself. The man should resign because he should have killed all your 'enemies'. Go and read the bible book of Esther. You may not even live to see that era when every peace-loving, hardworking, law-abiding citizens no matter their ethnicity, religion, complexion, will be truly free in Nigeria.
Go and express your free will in your state, is that simple enough for you to understand.

Your attachment by force is no longer acceptable. And for your information I dont believe in the Bible, all the stories inside na wash.

What is the meaning or usefulness of hardworking if you cant do it in your own land and prosper your land?

Abeg move.

We need to go back to the drawing board. The PVC did not work in River state for a reason. The PVC should necessarily break down in those areas occupied by our enemies within. We need to be ready by any means necessary in 2019. This abomination should be checked immediately.
RomanceRe: The Worst Type Of People To Be In Relationship With. by ibedun: 6:03pm On Apr 13, 2015
iPrevail:
Pfft!.... Absurd!

Apparently it's only God that can love unconditionally, everyone loves/likes someone for a reason.. Varying from looks to intellect or sometimes for personal gains.. You don't have to agree.

So if I should follow your list then we're all "Worst type of people to be in a relationship with".

A question for you.. Do you make friends with just anybody? Or date any girl you come across? No? ....why not?

It is my belief that in a relationship, you gotta have something to offer. Relationship is mainly based on desire and attraction. So now the question is ..what makes me desire a particular person? ..what attracts me to a particular person?

However, if I should agree with your list then it's gotta be 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11... (BTW, 9 and 10 are same.. No real difference).
Who told you God loves unconditionally? Stop paying your tythe or whatever they call it. Anyway back to the subject. Nobody loves unconditionally, better believe that.

nduchucks:
I'm OK with supporting the Obas with funds approved by their subjects through local council ordinances or their various state laws.

What currently obtains is a system of corruption where the Governors illegally give Obas and Emirs money not budgetted for, and it turn use the Obas and Emirs for political gains. Some Governors have even dethroned Emirs who do not side with them politically.
Nduchucks, why are your arguments always so throretical without any basis in reality? I have always benchmarked any theoretical or idealistic assumptions and premises against what obtains in reality. The constitution its self does not always apply in practice. Racial equality is a constitutional requirement in many of the countries we look up to but the reality is so so different. Just like Nigeria's constitution says you can live anywhere and vote and be voted for but I wouldnt go to a rural area of Sokoto and drag that with them. I wont even go to Bayelsa to drag any issues with the local.

We are happy for the budgetary provisions for our Obas in Yorubaland and i am sure the Northerners feel the same about their Emirs. As I am sure you know there is nothing royal about the "Eze" title, it has no historical basis and it is nothing but a "hush-hush" creation to give the Igbos some semblance of antiquity or some kind of "follow join".
PoliticsRe: I Will Not Be Running For Governor Again – Jimi Agbaje Declares by ibedun: 1:14pm On Apr 13, 2015
Good riddance - Omo Igbo Ogbanje.

Now let the APC governor settled.

Amuwo Odofin, Festac, Surulere, Ajeromi, Ajao Estate,Orile, Ajegunle and Iganmu. These areas need immediate regeneration and depopulation. We now need to ensure the Igbos are limited to a single area or part of Lagos so we can keep an eye on them.

A kind of Sabongari of Lagos.

Never should we allow any political representation of Yoruba people by non-Yorubas in the SW.

Exception being - They are married to a Yoruba person, they have a property here and their children are in Yorubaland. Finish.

PoliticsRe: A Proposal For Lagos Assembly To Accept Yoruba Language As Official Language by ibedun: 1:18pm On Apr 12, 2015
Yoruba language should be adopted across the SW. Every defensive impediments should be adopted to preserve and protect indegenous power and influence in our region as it is now clear that we have enemies within our midst. Those who seek to usurp our structure should be made to face difficult barriers. Exactly what our adversaries have deployed to ensure the locals are firmly shut out of certain markets in their own land.

PoliticsRe: A Lagos Igbo Beat APC Chairman's Son To Clinge Lagos Assembly Seat by ibedun: 12:04pm On Apr 12, 2015
sinkhole:
All this shout of Ibo winning in Lagos seems boring to me!
If Ibos have their businesses in Lagos they will pay tax to Lagos and not to Anambra or Enugu!
If an iboman wins political position in Lagos, people will be watching whether he will carry Lagos money to his village or not! If performs very well and brings development he may even get second term.
An iboman winning election will not stop ibos paying tax on whatever they have in Lagos.
There is no way ibos will be a majority in Lagos House, so they still need the indigenes to make their voices heard and moreso they were elected on the opposition platform!
That's why we MUST demand full accountability from the 2 Igbo and the delta woman HOR elect members. All the constituency funds, etc etc. they must account for every penny otherwise we have the abnormally of the Igbo reps taking Lagos money to go and build house in his abaliki village. In fact they all should be recalled if they make any slightest wrong move. If they visit their village during their tenure they must be recalled.
