How the SS/SE alliance intends to overcome North/West Alliance and their massive electoral headcount advantage beats me. Somebody please wake these mofos up from their sleep. Flets: Many illiterates in Nigeria. Falling crude oil prices is affecting all OPEC economies and many are here yapping.
Let every sane mind listen...
If By Chance Buhari wins....... ND delta militants will reduce oil production in this regime of low oil prices..... that is the true doom and perilous times
Investors will simply withdraw their money FDI will almost get to zero Dollar will be exchanging for 350 naira Our economy will truly shatter
And even if you send the entire Nigerian army to the creeks, the IOCs will never venture to send their workers into a volatile region to produce oil..... not even at this current crude pricing
Vote wisely Nigeria would simply surround their region and starve them to death, unless they have stockpiled enough food to last them for 20 years. They will soon enough find that oil is not edible. |

Kola4uniadgog: Bro, u raised a lot of issues but it was basically subjective. Our billionaires contribute to our economy. People like dangote have over 90 percent of their investment in Nigeria. You need to know the number of people that make a living working under him. Same goes for the many billionaires who have investments here and there through which many Nigerians are gainfully employed. I won't delve into their source of wealth. Before u fly, u have to learn first to walk. No matter how prosperous an economy is, there will still be people that will be left behind. We have homeless people in america and people that beg on the streets. Though they are very small. China is the second largest economy in the world and a larger percentage of their population is poor. But that is no excuse for our current state. Resources have been mismanaged over the years but it is wrong to throw everytin at jonathan's table. He has only been president for about four years. And I hate to count the period he was an acting president cos it wasn't his mandate and he didn't have much political power to take anytin drastic so as not to danger his endorsement for president. If the economy has not been diversified in the last thirty years and an administration is making a attempt to do that, that is laudable. That is the way to go, achieve self sufficiency in rice production, sugar. By the time dangote's refinery comes on board, Nigeria will be a net exporter of petroleum products just like we are now exporting cement. That is how to grow an economy. What do u think he ought to have done that he is not doing? The issues I raised are as objective as they come. Other people come to the same conclusions and whatever side of the argument one is the facts of the average Nigerian life is there for all to see. Our people are not living well and life is harsh for the overwhelming majority of them. On a per capital basis there is no rich Nigerian. We are all poor going by the average. The rich politicians, the Asari Dokubos and other guys running around are outliers (statistics jagon for extreme points in a normal distribution). I visited a maternity ward just after christmas and it dawned on me that statistically almost everyone of those children will end up in poverty. Sorry bro but GEJ is responsible - whatever any excuses people bring forth. He was not forced to assume that position and it is clear that he is a serious ill luck for our country. He is so obviously incapable and a chalathan. I cant imagine what we have done as a country to end up with such a clueless and talentless leadership. Check out our achievements under OBJ (no saint obviously) but did you not feel focus purposeful leadership? did you not feel the economy changing for the better? did you not feel active governance at the top? |
Politics › Re: No Gains For Almajiri Schools’ Graduates – Fashola by ibedun: 3:36pm On Mar 13, 2015 |
Billyonaire: I am proud of you. You are so smart, you carried out your little research in your little world and come to conclusion that 99.999% of rich people in Nigeria are crooks. Clap for yourself little man. I do not want to argue with you on that. I am sure Nairalanders already know your mental state judging you by that analogy. Going back to GEJ and exchange rate. The Feds used our foreign reserve when the Brent Crude prices fell to cushion the effect on the economy and the exchange rate due to marginal fluctuation differences in the Exim indices, but we accused the Feds of depleting our foreign reserves. The Federal Government has stop using our Foreign Reserves to regulate the rate. So lets face it now. Dangote has lost half of his fortune. That's the reality we face in an Oil dependent economy. Now, we are facing the reality of the fall in crude price. Let's do the maths, empty head. When brent crude was 120 pb, Naira was 160 to a dollar, so now the brent crude price is 56dpb then you should expect (160 x 2.7 ) = (432 naira to a dollar)to be the exchange rate but the government is still able to control it to 225 at the moment. Give respect to billionaires. Firstly I am not an empty head so I reject that description. Maybe you have a point in that 99.999% of rich people in Nigeria are not crooks, maybe the figure is closer to 99.1% okay I stand corrected -if you read between the lines. Your response did not surprise me, Nigeria is the standard for you, your benchmark. I know people whose exposure is limited to Nigeria and you are one of them (This is not about travelling abroad spending a few weeks in New York or London, this is about interaction and being a part of a system that works and develops, prospers a nation and its people). Rogues or "million or Billion"aires who march up and down the Nigerian landscape are not known for their contribution to economy and industry (we have none) in the country, but only for "having money" Let GEJ and his voodoo economic team come out and tell Nigerian why we are here and why the largest "fictitious" economy in the Africa cannot feed its children, women, the old and other vulnerable people in society, while people like "Billyonaire" transverse the landscape bringing mayhem, instability, systemic failure, poverty, hunger, despair and hopelessness. I have seen few "Billionaires" in Nigeria die needlessly when they face simple health emergencies. You mentioned Dangote losing a portion of his wealth. What about the millions of hard working men and women in society whose purchasing power and savings have just been decimated? And yet it appears there is no government running the country. The purpose of life is not to come and accumulate unnecessary and needless wealth. If you dont know, everything is GEJ's fault - why? because he is the president and the welfare and economic security of 170m people lies with him. But this clueless ignoramus? God help us. |

Billyonaire: You are saying billionaires dont have time for internet ? I am sorry, Have you heard of Bill Gates, Mark Zuggerberg, Larry Page, Steve Job ? I think your ignorance is making the angels cry in heaven. Who has time more than billionaires ? Big money struggles for itself, I do not have to work anymore, I just shout on phone, full stop. Change Niggas running out of change....you will become beggars soon. Do not call your father's president a he-goat, your father might be angry. Listen to this all knowing Olodo! The people you have mentioned created mediums for the internet. They did not create the internet and are not known for engaging in political chitty-chatty on the internet. Your "big money" dont impress me, you are a Nigerian and 99.999% of rich people in Nigeria are crooks, government contractors or politician (and their relatives) Billionaires the world over (Except jungle Africa) can easily point to the source of their wealth and are known by their contribution. Identify your source of wealth to win my respect otherwise go spend your dirty money and dont come here bragging about owning choice cars in a country without roads. Going back to GEJ, he is no better than my may-guard. and he remains a He-goat, has he addressed the nation about the state of the economy? No! the dollar is N227 today! All these children in our household are going to end up poor. |
