Greatihex: i have had this kdb and hazard debate with you in the past. I am busy now and can't do that again now.
People write about a player when he has a great season, not when he wins league.
Hazard is an attacking midfielder not a forward. He has only some matches as a forward this season in the false 9 strategy or the 352. The false 9: balls flying over his head, no support from those behind, have to still go into midfield to go and create.
352: playing as the link between midfield and attack. More of a midfielder and a forward in one match. All these while playing in a more defensive setup compared the ones in an attacking setup.
Mind you, I am not saying that hazard has been better than anyone this season. He has been too inconsistent this season coupled with the false 9 thing. That is the problem.
Why don't you already say that salah is better than Messi since he has already scored more goals. Don't get me wrong. Salah is having an incredible season. One of a kind in his entire career, but just like poch said about Pep, he has been given everything he needs to have that number goals. This is someone who has no business in every other play that at the end product. Someone with less than 28 average passes and many other less stats that are not goals and assists. The Liverpool game is about finding his run and releasing him at any time they get the chance. He is like the striker from the wings. His strength being used to the maximum.
Let me stop here. Maybe later. Very busy now. Hazard will never run out of excuses with cheerleaders like you. You are the Dino Melaye to his Saraki. The mitigating factors you just provided will hold weight in a Hazard vs Sterling debate, not in a Hazard vs Salah debate. Both play the same position but Hazard is a "midfielder" while Salah is a "striker on the wing".

Greatihex: please, can you tell me how all these have not been written about Hazard when he was helping Chelsea to the Premier league title? Just say that the kdb of this season has done better than hazard of this season.
All his career, KDB has never had a better season than hazard except this season and that of 2 seasons ago.
I hope you are not going to bring your usual goals and assists stats to prove your point, because hazard goals and assists this season is going to rubbish that logic. People only write about you when your team win the league. KDB is still providing the same sumptuous assists he did last year. Are you sure you can compare goals+assists this season? Please do the comparison for us. Mind you KDB is a CM while Hazard is a forward. Finally, can you compare Hazard to his fellow forward Salah this season? Yet you insist KDB > Salah, but you no get mind to compare Hazard to Salah.

Eruditor: Yes I agreed to remove WBA and Stoke after stating more than once that I would adjust the timeline. Is that not what I am doing now?
I can adjust the timeline back to WBA game in week 25, if I remove those points from City I have to remove Swansea for United because at that point they were the 2 worst teams and both City and United will lose equal points. Stop lying. You only started talking timeline long after Airmark exposed your goof and you knew you were on the back foot. Look at you busy calculating points against Burnley and others, when Airmark warned you that the first thing a smart person would do is go and check the exceptions - West Brom and Stoke. You only started talking of timeline after cornering yourself. There was a module in A-Level maths called problem solving. It was a module with no curriculum that just tests your ability to cut the crap and get to the root of the problem as quickly as possible. The way I am seeing your handling of this matter, you would have struggled with that course. Who goes and starts calculating results against Burnley, Newcastle and co, when you already know the question is asking for results excluding Stoke and West Brom and you have a table that compiles all results in front of you. It's like I told you Dangote is worth $10bln but just lost $1bln of the value of his cement company. Instead of you to quickly tell me he is now worth $9bln, you go and start adding the value of all his companies from scratch again, wasting time and making mistakes. Eruditor: To further buttress my point, I removed the same points from City and United even after City had secured the league but it showed them 4pts behind United. That should already tell you something was wrong. We are not responsible for your stüpidity, excuse my rudeness. Of course if City are leading by 11 points in GW 29 when we exclude West Brom and Stoke, and you try to make City lose their next 5 matches while Utd win theirs, Utd will win by 4 points. You just corroborated our 11 point gap figure with that foolish projection. Eruditor: I just estimated that ceteris paribus City should maintain the same 15+ points that they are currently ahead by. That is the only way to compare if City would have won the league before or on the same time as Bayern - which was my claim. What is this? We asked you to show working of your 15 point gap, you are now speaking latin. We saw you calculating results against Sheffield Wednesday and all sorts, now it's turned to an estimation. Eruditor: Is it not "if" we did to get a 34 game schedule?
When we remove 3pts from City for WBA should we not remove 3 too from United then because Swansea were the 2nd worst team by then?
You would see that at the times of removing points, the 2 worst teams will change which could even make United more than 16pts behind.
And all that is because you want to claim that Pep did not walk the EPL whereas he did and could have done so 6 games to spare which was not possible in Germany.
THE END. Stop trying to be slippery nigga. We gave you percentage completeness which is the correct method and should end there. You wanted to see what would happen "if" the league was 34 matches. We gave you criteria of comparing top 18 teams in Germany vs top 18 teams in England. . . you accepted the criteria and fücked up the JSS 2 mathematics in front of you. In order to wiggle out, you started adding "if" City had beat Utd just to cover the fact you mishandled some simple problem solving. Now you have opened more ifs to escape. . . "if" Crystal Palace were in the bottom two. . . if Swansea were bottom. . .bla bla bla If I ask you now to revert and show working of how you boldly claimed City would be 15 points ahead by GW29 if we excluded West Brom and Stoke, you would start shaking like a fish. You did not mention Palace and Swansea then, only now you have been caught, you want obfuscate. Eruditor: I have already cut Stoke and Westbrom and City are still at least 15points ahead of United and LFC. . And don't think you will escape your faux-pas by reverting back to the original argument of Bundesliga being more competetive than EPL just to escape your poor mathematics. Even at that, Bundesliga is a yearly cakewalk for Bayern while EPL has changed hands every year since 2009. Even the last bastion of Bundesliga resistance aka UEFA COEFFICIENT has fallen into the hands of EPL. We're not interested in that argument anymore, we only want to see your workings to finish the league in GW29 by excluding West Brom and Stoke. |

So what game on a 34-game schedule would that have been? It has to be game 29 (because you have removed 4 games from 33) so think of it: City are 14pts ahead by game 29 with 5 games to go. Eruditor: I have already cut Stoke and Westbrom and City are still at least 15points ahead of United and LFC.. You are a disgrace. As at today: City - Played 33.........87 points Utd - Played 33..........71 points If you exclude the 4 games they each played against Stoke and West Brom, the table will read: City - Played 29..........75 points United - Played 29......64 points There will be 5 games left with 11 points gap and the league will still be alive. I saw you trying to cover your goof later with some silly twist of logic. Don't try it nigga. Eruditor: City took (6) from Tot, CFC and Ars, Newcastle whereas United and LFC only take at most 3 from each team. That is at least 12pts ahead.
United picked only 3pts from Burnley and City picked 4. Same for Leicester where City picked 6 and United 4. They will make up the same 16pts that it is today without Stoke or Westbrom.
When we consider that City also took 3 from United and LFC then we can tell that by game 29 they would have already won the league. The above is a case of a nigga that can't quickly solve a problem when presented with one. In your attempt to remove Stoke and West Brom, you started calculating Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Burnley and Newcastle. You for kuku add Blackburn Rovers. A smart brain will quickly focus on exceptions but you decided to travel around the country adding and subtracting scores entangling yourself in a 19 node problem instead of focussing on a 2 node problem (Stoke and West Brom). No wonder you were boldly claiming City would still be 15 points ahead . . . cos you had not solved the problem. The league table has already calculated all the other results and relationships for you, all you simply needed to do was substract West Brom and Stoke results. You are the type that will prepare a powerpoint presentation and erudite for one hour without hitting on one key point of strategy, process or solution. And when you were caught, you tried to come up with an excuse that makes no sense about timing of result. . . which is still inaccurate.Airmark already tried to warn you below to simply remove Stoke and West Brom results as you promised, you were busy calculating results against Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves and Sunderland. airmark: Chai, instead of you to check and make neccessary deductions like an intelligent person, you base your conclusion on if, if, if like Davido |

Eruditor: How can you bring a United loss against Westbrom today to mean anything?
Remove Stoke and Westbrom.
City still beat Arsenal, Tot, CFC, Newcastle, Leicester (home and away) whereas United and Liverpool did not.
That accounts for 15pts ahead of both teams already.
Stop trying to bail Airhead out. He goofed.
City win the EPL by game 29 latest even after taking Westbrom and Stoke out to make it 34 games.
33/38 and 29/34 are NOT statistically different. So telling us City won the league when it was 87% complete to Bayern’s 85% makes no sense because in both cases you had 5 games left.
Stop defending the indefensible abeg. I gave you the percentage completeness model which is the correct model and what Airmark was alluding to. You refused. You tried the "cut the league at any point" model, so I suggested the only way that works is a like-for-like comparison - top 18 teams in Bundesliga vs top 18 teams in EPL. That fit your model of cutting the English league down to 34 games. Apart from those two above, I can't accept any arbitrary method of comparison. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:07pm On Apr 15, 2018 |
Eruditor: It cannot be applied any way.
Only LFC and United had a chance of catching City and the arrangement made it such that City were 16-18pts ahead of both.
If it were a 34 match season City win the league before playing United in game 30.
If I even shrink the league and take out Stoke and Westbrom, nothing changes because LFC and United beat both teams so whatever points you take from them still City 16-18pts ahead of United and LFC.
In any other way, City will win the league before game 29.
Even by % 85.3 and 86.8 are not dissimilar statistically. They still show that 5games were left which is funny because Bayern had to beat Dortmund (2nd placed team twice) but City did not beat LFC or United twice but won the league with the same 5 games to spare. Utd actually dropped 7 points against Stoke and West Brom. I'm not here for if, if if. The methodology I have applied is the correct methodology, in any field. I have given you percentage completeness methodology and like-for-like methodology, you did not accept and would rather use the "If Liverpool" methodology. I believe you are a professional with corporate experience. If you were doing an Engineering or Construction contract today, you will recognise your cost and revenue on a percentage completeness model, just as an example. Eruditor: It works and your 22 game example does not because we are comparing 38 to 34 game leagues.
City were already 16pts above United since Jan or so. Even if you want to say United beat them I can only put that game after game 29. Problem is, at 13pts City still secure the league by game 29( because 16pts is higher than 5 wins). Same time Bayern did.
BTW Stoke was game 30 or 31 and Westbrom game 25. They were still 16 ahead by then. No, your methodology can never be sound or complete as it can be applied at gameweek 7, gameweek 10 or whatever. It is completely arbitrary. If you refuse to accept the percentage completeness method which is the only true method, the next method would be to reduce EPL to an 18 man league like Bundesliga by excluding results against the two weakest teams which would have City winning the league in GW31 out of 34. |

Eruditor: ManU can work but they don’t because even at worst I can put them as game 30 and City would have won the league before losing to them being 16pts ahead already (in a 34-game league) Nope. It doesn't work like that. Following your analogy above, City were ahead by 13 points by GW 18. You could claim the league would have ended by GW18 if it was a 22 match league at that stage. The only way to compare against a 34 game league is to take away results against the last 2 teams in the league, not to cut the league at whichever week you see fit when rivalries haven't yet played out. |

Eruditor: I checked the table, City had 78 when LFC had 60 by game 29. To secure the league he needed only 15pts between him and the 2nd placed team with 5 games to go. So game 28 or even 27 (had LFC lost that day) would have been probable winning times. You have to play everyone twice to win the league. City had not even played their 3 main rivals twice as at Gameweek 29 (Manure, Pool, Spurs) so GW 29 table is representative of City's results against weaker teams. |

Which means Bayern was winning 2.5points per game and Man City winning over 2.6 points per game This means nothing if other teams are also copping points to keep pace with them longer. EPL finished at 33/38 = season was 87% complete.
