Lalaboi, is this why you asked us not to celebrate too early? Maybe you're the one who made this bet at season start.
|
chic2pimp:Story for the Gods. No way City will score 3 unreplied. |
lalaboi:Don't write off Heynckes. He will not disgrace Bayern like Fraudiola. |
chic2pimp:Intriguing for your mind abi? This contest has been over since the first leg when the fraud disgraced his team in UCL once again. |
Come on Roma! We need double party on Barca thread tonight. |
lalaboi, is it safe to celebrate now? |
chic2pimp:Nothing to do with ref. The linesman called it. Salah goal! Cry me a river! ![]() |
Salah has not been pressing like he supposed to this game |
Nihilstjnr:Oh well, their bad luck. |
CapitalCee: Roland17:2 players must be behind the attacker - usually goalkeeper+defender but because Karius rushed out, Sane was offside as only 1 player was behind him. |
Abramovics steel company is in line to be hit by sanctions. If they hit Deripraskas aluminium company, then Roman is a sure target. His company took a £0.5bln hit when Deripraska sanctions were announced. Roman been taking a lot of Ls recently with Steel prices collapsing and Oil rose as soon as he sold his oil assets and bought into steel. As for Forbes list sha, I believe Roman is richer than where Forbes places him. How can someone lose several billion dollars to scam and still be worth roughly the same According to Putin, Abramovich has been cheated by Igor Kolomoyskyi. Putin claimed in 2014 that Kolomoyskyi had reneged on a contract with Abramovich, saying "He [Kolomoyskyi] even managed to cheat our oligarch Roman Abramovich two or three years ago. Scammed him, as our intellectuals like to say. They signed some deal, Abramovich transferred several billion dollars, while this guy never delivered and pocketed the money. When I asked him [Abramovich]: 'Why did you do it?' he said: 'I never thought this was possible.'" |
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Ligue 1 leaders PSG have both asked Chelsea to keep them informed if 22-year-old winger Kenedy becomes available for transfer. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Newcastle. (Sky Sports) Apart from some concerning attitude problems, I've always maintained that Kenedy is more than good enough for the LWB role. A lot of times we go looking for solutions that are already in our youth team eg Ake etc. |
raumdeuter:That is correct but has nothing to do with the fact that Conte saw Baka as an understudy. Conte is happy to run down Matic contract cos he does not think about finances, only football. These guys did not finish school so you can't expect them to think like we do. What the board did not do is warn Conte to look for 2 midfielders. Matic situation was sprung on him last minute as he was returning from holiday because the board had been in contact negotiations with Matic until June before negotiations went bust. Conte basically came back from holiday and was told - You now need 2 midfielders and BTW, we have started enquiring about Drinkwater as proviso and also cos we need to meet homegrown quota as RLC, Ake and Chalobah are leaving. That's why Conte has been treating Drinkwater unfairly. Even with the pile of wânk Bakayoko has been serving us, Bakayoko still makes the bench while Drinkwater is not even in matchday squad. In other words, Bakayoko is Contes man but Drinkwater is not. It's the same treatment he gave Batsman cos Batsman is an Emenalo signing whilst Conte was with Italy to which he had little or no input. These are insights you will not notice as an outsider unless you follow a club daily. |
raumdeuter:Woodward defers to Mourinho technical knowledge and recommendations except where there is budgetary constraint. Emenalo was that technical knowledge especially in times where the board had no respect for the manager - particularly RDM and Benitez time when he was handed a warchest and phucked it up by not balancing the team. As the managers became stronger and more prestigious (Mourinho and Conte), transfers became more of a negotiation process. Mourinho and Contes problem with the board was budgetary (not enough funds for their targets), and Emenalo has little to do with their problems. As for Perez, he was the original Emenalo - a fool who buy 100 Galacticos and leave the team without midfield, selling Makelele without replacement and turning a team of superstar attackers into an unbalanced pile of wánk. Left to Perez, you would never see a player like Casemiro in Madrid cos he just does not look at those sort of players. Him and Emenalo share a special brand of stüpidity. He should thank God Zidane has been able to work around him and give the team what it needs here and there despite his unhelpful interferences. If Zidane’s support for Casemiro surprised, it should not have done. Casemiro may not be one of the president’s men but luckily for him the president does not pick the team. Not right now, at least. Among the most important regrets that Benítez will have from his time in charge of Real Madrid is listening to those “suggestions”, leaving out the man who provided him with the thing he treasures most of all: balance. It was not a regret that Zidane wished to repeat. And he had the authority and prestige to pick his own team. |
raumdeuter:This is why you should keep quiet when fans are discussing their own team cos you can only ever scratch the surface being an outsider cos you don't follow the team. Conte said and I quote - I brought in Bakayoko to sit behind Matic and learn from him. Matic was Conte first choice, Bakayoko was substitute. The bad mood Conte has been in all season started with Matic sale which put him on warpath. |
raumdeuter:Full speech: “From the summer, the club decides every single player that comes here,” Conte said. “Sometimes I can have an impact on this, sometimes you can’t have an impact. My first task is to do my job, to be a coach, to try to improve my players. For sure, I don’t have a big impact on the transfer market.” The ones he had an impact on are the ones I mentioned - Bakayoko, Zappacosta and Morata as 2nd choice . . . . The ones he had zero impact and dislikes intensely are Barkley, Drinkwater. Rudiger and Giroud were signed by the club to fill a need but he didn't recommend them specifically by name. Emerson may be his recommendation as a 3rd or 4th choice. I am still fact-finding on that one. And of course for outgoings, you have Matic which he vehemently opposed. |
Greatihex:He may have settled for Zappacosta as 2nd choice behind Moses, yes. It's partly his fault for aiming too high for Kyle Walker, then after Oxlade rejected Chelsea, Zappa came to the fore. He could have saved all this trouble by opting for Toljan to start with. Same for Andy Robertson on the left side instead of Sandro. |
Nihilstjnr:Nonsense . . . . the lawyer is only in negotiation to dot is and cross ts and will do that with Marina and other legal people and agents based on Emenalo and the managers recommendations. He has told you ho-ha that Emenalo makes the technical decision. No be today you go try to hide Emenalo under the technical exigencies of contract negotiation. Marina would not even step to that negotiation table if Emenalo and/or Roman have not already recommended it. This is a case of Abacha sent Sergeant Rogers to shoot Kudirat and you are busy blaming Sergeant Rogers instead of Abacha. Nihilstjnr:You mean a Technical Director does not know what the budget is coming to a transfer window? You might as well paint him as a single-cell organism to absolve him then. Before any transfer window, he knows the parameters he has to work under just like any Sporting Director. If he chose to spend £150m on wingers and leave Mikel and Ramires to man the midfield, that's HIS decision. His parameter was £150m, but he does not know football and thought 6 wingers will win you Prem. Nihilstjnr:Ray Wilkins has told you ho-ha that Ancelotti wanted to sign his players but Emenalo was forcing his choices on him. He doesn't need to spell it out for you. He has non-disclosure agreement signed as part of his payoff. I actually listened to the interview live on Talksport. It was on a Monday night as I was driving to football round about when Emenalo resigned. Ray Wilkins said he has beef with Emenalo and immediately followed it up when asked why by saying that the manager should make the signings not other people - clearly referring to Emenalo. Emenalo wasn't even TD in Ray Wilkins time, he was Head Scout but had the ear of Roman and had already taken over in everything but name from Frank Arnesen. I peeped this since 2010 when Emenalo recommended Ramires to Roman. This is how you would miss rapture by burying head in sand. |
raumdeuter:Head Scout is acting up into Emenalos role. |
Nihilstjnr:In negotiations, not in picking targets. You missed the most obvious part of what you are trying to use to heap blame on Marina and absolve Emenalo: https://i65.tinypic.com/3d2iq.jpg Repeat after me. Who handles the football needs of the club at the highest level? Repeat again. Is it Marina that told Emenalo that Roman has £150m to spend on wingers in 2012 but cannot afford £10m for Wanyama? If Marina tells Emenalo that only £150m is available, Emenalo is supposed to use his football sense and assign some to where its needed, even if its just £10m or £20m. Emenalo hiding behind obfuscations since 1912. If you did not know who made football calls back then, why not actually hear from a Chelsea coach, Ray Wilkins who told you exactly what it was with Emenalo. No be dem say, dem say. This is no2 member of coaching team telling you exactly what it was: And Wilkins has revealed he never got on with the former Nigeria international before going on to suggest Emenalo’s role became idle with Chelsea going after the world’s best players. “Unfortunately Michael and I didn’t see eye-to-eye,” Wilkins told BBC 5 Live. “The most important thing at a club like Chelsea is when you’re getting players in, it’s what the coach wants. It’s not what anybody else wants. Did you see him blaming Marina or the tooth fairy? He knows exactly who was causing him and Ancelotti problems. Same way RDM, Benitez, Jose all fell out with Emenalo, not the tooth fairy. |
Nihilstjnr:Rubbish! Marina became CEO in October 2014. How was Romans PA listed as being in charge recruitment in 2012. Maybe you meant recruitment for the legal and secretarial team!!! Nihilstjnr:This is why I chilled on Emenalo since 2014. My gripe with Emenalo is mostly 2012 and 2013 where there where no financial restrictions and he phucked up the basics of building a balanced team. His stewpidity with picking central midfielders is still evident today though! |
raumdeuter:Your board is all ex-footballers who can rightly make calls, while Chelsea board are all non-football people who deferred to Emenalos knowledge for years. If a decision back then is purely footballing, not financial, anyone who knows Chelsea knows its either Emenalo or Roman (usually with advice from Piet De Vieser) who makes football calls. Do not compare with financial call between Gotze and Neymar. Now, the "transfer committee" itself is only 4 people - Roman, Marina, Emenalo and Conte. These are the only people Roman meets to discuss transfer progress, and of those, Emenalo is the only person apart from CEO with direct access to Roman, |
Nihilstjnr:Nobody opens the purse-strings but Roman. No PA was making signing in 2012. Marina does not go signing whoever she wants regardless of the needs of the team and the managers wishes like Emenalo did in 2012 and 2013 where he can go signing 100 wingers while manager is asking for just one CM. Marina signs positions and style of players that the manager wants, just the cheaper version. If Conte wants Sandro, Chelsea scouts will recommend cheaper versions of Sandro eg Emerson. If Conte wants Dzeko, Chelsea scouts will recommend Giroud. This is the role Emenalo used to fulfill, except when Emenalo had the most power, he had none of these financial restrictions and still failed to build a balanced squad. |
raumdeuter:Lets not confuse money issues with our gripes against Emenalo which is failure to provide a balanced squad within financial reason. This is why I've not been really commenting the last few years where money restrictions changed the parameters. In 2012 summer when Chelsea spent over £100m on plethora of wingers and Emenalo argued with RDM over £10m to sign Wanyama, how does that relate to Gotze and Neymar? |
Nihilstjnr:According to Raumdeuter and Lordfalcao, it's all Conte signing while according to you it's all Marina. So which of you is correct? Left cannot join with right to oppose the person in the middle. Roman PA was not making any signings in 2012. |
raumdeuter:As long as Guardiola is not beefing with the board like Conte, you should know that Guardiola has full input on everything. The board are his friends and City hired them 2 years prior to Guardiola with the sole intention of luring Guardiola. |
raumdeuter:I agreed with all of the above, plus Emenalo collaboration on Donkeyoko. |
raumdeuter:Unlike you, I have always given my opinion transfer by transfer, not like you who either blame it all on Conte or absolve Emenalo or vice-versa. Even as at last summer 2016, I gave breakdown of who signed who. I would not blame Emenalo for Luiz knowing its a Roman signing, and gave Emenalo props for Batsman signing and Conte props for Kante etc. |
raumdeuter:Was it also Conte that told Emenalo to write several glowing scouting reports on Donkeyoko? They both take the blame. If Emenalo believes Donkeyoko is crap, he would write the truth, not famzing Bakayoko upandan. And if he doesn't believe in Yoko, he would advise the board against selling Matic to protect the team against Yoko phuckups. |
lordfalcao: lordfalcao:Emenalo does not have monopoly on transfer phuckups. This is why I take care to blame Conte for his own phuckups like Bakayoko etc, and also took time to say I rate Batsuayi even though he is an Emenalo signing. Some of you (lordfalcao and Raumdeuter) would like to blame Conte for all the signings, while others would like to blame the board and claim no input from Conte. As for me, I take mine on a case by case basis eg Luiz & Torres I blame on Roman cos Roman wanted them, and I apportion Emenalo his blame for disastrous midfield handling, likewise Conte will get his share of stick for Donkeyoko and Zappacosta etc. |
lordfalcao:Was it Emenalo and Conte ghost that flew to France together to scout the Donkey? Do you know how many hours of video analysis it takes for a manager to leave his day job and fly somewhere to scout player with Technical Director? They were both there in physical form, not apparition. I can't claim it's a hologram just to absolve either of them from that disgraceful signing. |
raumdeuter:Stop reaching. I stated then that this was a collaboration they both agreed upon, or do you not understand English. Conte must take his share of blame for Donkeyoko, as must Emenalo. Or do you think it's beans for both Technical Director and Manager to fly to France together for scouting mission. Where have you read that Conte travels to scout players within his busy schedule? Both of them take the rap on the Donkey. |
