SeekinAttention:Niggas said the same in 2011 when I told em Lukaku was better than Torres. Judge a nigga when he holds starting shirt. Till then, he is doing brilliantly with the limited playing time he has. |
The way they keep quoting £100m for Lukaku and co, Moussa Dembele at £30m is starting to make sense. I still maintain Iheanacho is the best of them. |
Yarnvibes:Jarus kicked off a snowball effect and brought this lady's plight to the nation. Kudos. |
Oga Airmark, did you freeze Boateng like Mavrodi when Marcelo was running through there? Beasting statue ![]() |
Marceeeeeeeeeeelooooo! Leftback of life! See Boateng - Beasting statue ![]() |
Orooooorooooo!!! |
Calamity Ramos! |
Bayern still only need one to force extra time. |
Ororooooooo!!! WPOTY is yours! |
diggz:Abeg o. Na Boateng beasted story we go dey hear if Bayern reach final. |
Bayern penalty! |
chic2pimp:Did you watch France 1998 qualification? Italy were in Englands group and Roberto played 90 minutes every match bar one where he was injured. He lost his place by the World Cup proper and only started one game, but it wasn't to Baggio, Totti etc like Raumdeuter suggested. The two strikers were Del Piero and Vieiri. Baggio was on bench for like-for-like substitution with Del Piero. Zola was cut just before the tournament, and Totti was too young to make the squad. Darius Vassell? I think not. He was Italy's starting CAM for two years solid. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-di-matteo/nationalmannschaft/spieler |
If Bayern don't want Joshua Kimmich, they should just give us abeg. |
Nihilstjnr:It was super average yet you were googling since 11am to find who bettered it, like say na JAMB question. This is like one child of the 2000s telling us Ronaldo Lima's 30 goal seasons are super average because Messi them are scoring 60 these days. Let the witnesses to the era tell you what is average or not, and leave out the ITK Google analysis. Zidane goal record was one of the best of his era for his position. Fact. Nobody is arguing with you why Zidane won WPOTY. What we are saying is that Zidane was competing on equal footing with almost every CAM in the world, not like one carryalong who is competing with Leon Osman and co. |
afrodoc2:No you came in with intellectual dishonesty which I would expect from someone who was never a witness to that era. I don't want to open too many variables to this debate that's why I quickly surmised and asked you to follow the earlier debates so as not to derail. Rivaldo a CAM? That's foul. Even Raumdeuter was not dishonest enough to list him. Djorkaeff a CAM? When he was winning golden boot in Serie A in 1997 as a striker with Zamorano. He is listed as a forward also. Gullit played every position on the pitch from Defence to Striker and scored most of his goals as secondary striker, even as part of a famous front 2 with Van Basten. For Luis Enrique, see Gullit. All the players above are also listed as forwards on any profile you wish to check. Once I see this kain dishonesty, I don't even bother cos we could start debating 10 different players positions and lose sight of the central argument. My point remain kampke. Zidane stands shoulder to shoulder with all his contemporaries in the CAM position for goals scored in his era. Anyone wey even pass him, it's not by much. After 5 hours of googling, una even go find forwards just to edge him by few goals. Iniesta however is being outscored 4:1 and 5:1 by his contemporaries in AM position and left them to even go and get trashed by the Leon Osmans of this world. I can't put it no clearer than that. |
raumdeuter:So he was an AM till 2014? The truth is setting you free. |
afrodoc2:Every player has played one or two positions now and again. Even Iniesta has played left-wing. Nihilist as usual, out of his depth, and unable to differentiate his arse from his elbow when it comes to 1990s football has found something to latch onto to muddy the waters They turned a simple question on Zidane to JAMB question, searching high and low all over google, and still confirming that Zidane was among the top producing CAMS of his generation. The contrast with Eunuch Iniesta and his mates like Leon Osman is clear, and my point has been made P Diddy voice - take that, take that, take that ![]() |
afrodoc2:We've already removed half of these names for playing different positions etc. Follow the thread. |
raumdeuter:Kevin Nolan is an AM. He is allowed to outscore Xavi. Iniesta was an AM. Or do you want us to bring the screenshot where you told Chelseafan1 that Iniesta was an AM? |
raumdeuter:These people are all the top midfielders of their era, and Zidane is comfortably among the top 5-10 producing CAMs of his era. When we mention Iniesta, we would start talking about Leon Osman, Kevin Nolan and co and name 50-100 midfielders that outscored him. In summary, they are not mates in productivity, and Zidane should never be used as a crutch for Iniestas infertility. |
raumdeuter:Please name InterMilans starting forwards in 1996/1997. Kanu was in hospital and Ronaldo was in Barcelona |
Nihilstjnr:Djorkaeff was a forward mehn. Djorkaef and Ivan Zamorano. Ask us about the legendary Intermilan strikeforce of 1997. |
raumdeuter:We've already added Scholes. Seedorf we could argue played mostly in the 2000s and on the left-wing for a lot of his career. I hope we can see a pattern emerging ie Zidane was one of the most productive AMs of his generation, and anyone you call to have equalled him is a bonafide star of his era. Meanwhile, Iniesta is one of the most unproductive of his era, and any random Leon Osman can outscore him. This should be the last time Zidane's name is called in relation to Iniesther's infertility on this board. |
Nihilstjnr:Djorkaeff was a forward with Del Piero, Bergkamp and co. Una still dey struggle to find 3 oh. I will soon start calling Tim Sherwood and co to come and disgrace Iniesta here finally. |
Nihilstjnr:In the 1990s, Ligue 1 was as strong as any league except Italy. You can go and check all UCL, UEFA Cup and Cup-Winners-Cup results. 18 years only takes us back to 1999. |
raumdeuter:4-4-2. The CAM was our own Robbie Di Matteo. |
Funlordmaniac:OK, lets add Scholes. We are now at Scholes and Moller. See as they are struggling to find who bettered Zidane's goals from his era. Meanwhile another cheap random name for Iniesta - Leon Osman P Diddy voice - Take that, Take that, Take that ![]() |
Nihilstjnr:What year was 1999 please? 1991 UCL - Marseille, Final 1993 UCL - Marseille, Champions 1994 UCL - Monaco, Semi-final 1995 UCL - PSG - Semi-final 1996 UCL - Nantes, Semi-final 1998 UCL - Monaco, Semi-final 1999 was when they started falling off, long after Zidane had left France. Use your tongue to count your teeth. |
Nihilstjnr:In 1994, England 8 - 0 Turkey Ligue 1 never failed to have a UCL finalist, winner or semi-finalist most years in the 1990s. |
raumdeuter:You are mad. Why not Bergkamp or Del Piero? These are all forwards. I asked for CAMs. |
raumdeuter:OK, lets take Andreas Moller. Hassler and Effenberg did not make 125. I need another 2. The JAMB question continues. |
Nihilist:This is not JAMB question. Why is it so hard to find just 3 CAMs that outscored Zidane? Of course we wouldn't count Romanian league, anymore than we would count Ghanaian league. Scholes played the bulk of his career in 2000s. He started mid-to-late 90s while Zidane started 1988. They are slightly different era. I mentioned CAM because in the days of 4-4-2, wingers outscored CAMS, that's why Amuneke and Finidi were expected to score more than Okocha. So don't go calling wingers names. Zidanes mates are the Rui Costas, Bobans, Laudrups, Okochas of this world. He outscored most, if not all CAMS of his era. Think about that before you go using him as a crutch to justify the eunuch. I am willing to wait till daybreak for you to name 3 CAMs that outscored Zidane since you like calling his name upandan. Meanwhile, take another random name that outscored Iniesta - Lee Bowyer ![]() |
