He didn't have access to that as a normal citizen, or are they saying even Tinubu couldn't afford it at the time? It must be either of the two..
The issue was just emerging then and they were probably trying to find the best treatment

Hell naww. To the naw naw. Hell to the naw. IWW was a failed attempt at pop IMO. I Am is still better. This just tells me you're not someone that really rates Nas if you're rating him with what was definitely not his best work

Naah they just weren't really good albums. Well at least IWW. Illmatic was relevant for the time. By 96/97 it was shiny suit era rap so I don't hold it against Nas for pivoting but I can't think of any track that had replay value. On IWW at least

How can you give a fair or constructive criticism on Nas and you didn't even listen to Untitled, Life Is Good or KD trilogy.

Method Man is a better lyricist? On what grounds? Show me his project let me compare. I'm also a Method Man guy but let's be serious here

Me I rate my rappers by their storytelling and their body of work. Not ability to NL battle rap.

Nobody not even Jay Z has dropped a quality album this late in their career like Nas did.

Lol. You're not a Nas guy. It's better to just admit that.

Nas is not even my favorite rapper but I respect him a lot.

If you've not even listened to Life is Good and the KD trilogy then any opinion of yours on Nas absolutely has to be taken with a grain of salt
lol. I'm a mad Nas guy in the 90s. But the truth is when you personally reach a level of expertise in something, you cannot go back to the building blocks that you used to first learn basic structures. cos they are basic and they can't add anything to your learning anymore. 2001 to 2008 is a long time to be releasing garbage and expect me to jump back on like you never left. Same reason I left Eminem behind after Marshall Mathers album

The truth is, I look for wit and comedic value in my rappers first and foremost, then I go into intricate rhyme schemes, then how the music sounds sonically. When Nas was busy taking his wack hiatus from 2001 to 2008, I mostly pivoted into mixtape rappers like Saigon, Crooked I, Royce da 59 and now I follow the likes of 38 Spesh. These are guys who are way advanced lyrically and in flow structure than what was fresh about Nas in the 1990s. Every generation innovates, even Eminem's flow develops every time while Nas is sounding like the lazy version of his 1990s self. The reason I name checked Method Man is because he has been featuring with all these new rappers and holding his own, he worked on his pen. I listened to some part of King Diseases and Nas flow is choppy like the worst of Nas, not as clean and crisp as it was on I am. I am should be his pinnacle of landing every bar on beat but throughout his career (and even on I am), he has too often slipped into choppy flows that don't land crisply at the end of the snares. Reason I like IWW is cos he landed crisply too.

Funny how Tinubu’s health suddenly did a 180 - No more trembling hands, no more “wet patches,” everything’s just magically fine now.
You have to wonder: why didn’t he sort himself out before running for president?
Are we seriously supposed to believe that a man of his wealth couldn’t afford the treatment earlier?
Or is there some secret elite clinic that only opens its doors to sitting presidents?
You can bring Afrodoc2 into this but I suspect he is having periodic stem cell treatment in France cos his condition looked degenerative.

We've paid down that debt since Dec.

City boy wants to borrow $21B + €2B + $100m (in Yen) in one year.

Does this not count as fiscally absurd?

That's nuts after paying down a decent chunk of the previous loan. Maybe he has given up, cos that's inexplicable. Let's wait for further confirmation

I saw a question on Twitter

At age 20yrs, 5m at once or $1k per day for the next 30yrs
$1k per day easy

Assume bank interest rate of 4% which is the current rate in the money markets

Case of $5m: Compound 5m over 30 years at 4% interest is $16.22m

Case of $1k: Compound the first $365k over 29.5 years, the second $365k over 28.5 years and so on in an arithmetic progression and you land at $20.88m after the 30 years.

I use 29.5, 28.5, 27.5 etc to bring approximate linearity to the calculation as the interest on your $1k on 1st Jan is not the same as the interest accrued on 31st Dec, so use half years for the first year of investment

The only reason to accept the $5m upfront is if you can guarantee a return better than the bank by 0.9% (so 4.9% return) - and assuming you cannot also throw your $1k per day into the same 4.9% yield investment. Let's say there is an instrument with a minimum investment requirement of $5m

Guirassy used more than 8 years of his career to strenghthen his legs and start scoring in his favorite burnthisleaguedown.

If he is in charge of our transfer, we will be sharing position with man united now.
Guirassy is France born, his age is legit. I supported his signing for just £13m

IWW I don't consider a good album

But the fact that you skipped Illmatic and Life is Good? KD 3 and KD 1? Skipping Life is Good is unforgivable

That just tells me you no like Nas at all at all.
It was Written is probably Nas best album - tied with I am

The "real Hip Hop" crowd didn't like it cos he used smooth and melodious and soulful beats and developed the Escobar persona. They wanted the ear scratching hardcore boom bap of Illmatic and gave it a bad rep. It was Written is actually one of his best works, but aggravated his core fans. Not me - a beat must not be horrible before I rate a lyricist

I don't listen to all those KD1, KD2, KD3 shits. Nas fell off lyrically in recent years, or let's just say lyricism has developed crazily (for those who know where to look) while he is standing still, and even regressing slightly. Sorry to say, Method Man is a better lyricist than him today, something you couldn't say in the 90s, and that's cos Method developed his pen while Nas got lazy

I actually dropped Nas after God's Son album followed up by HipHop is dead due to his wack beats. I only clocked back in for Distant Relatives with Damian Marley because of Damian

Are we seriously going for Delap, or is this just another rumoured link? Because from all indications, it looks like he’s heading to Old Trashford! Personally, I’d take him over that Ekiteki guy, especially considering the price tag attached to the latter.

Honestly, if we can land Delap and bring in one more striker with a different profile from him and MJ, I think we’d be in a solid position.

By the way, what’s all this talk about Anelka not being a good striker for us? I really don’t get that.
Unfortunately the boy is from Manchester and favours a move back home, plus no9 position is easy to steal from Hojlund. Trust me, if you grew up or live in Cheshire suburbs like Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Prestbury, Hale & Bowdon, you won't want to leave the area when you can live here and play for Manure. I have never seen any English player whether from London or Newcastle that played for the Manchester or Liverpool clubs, that didn't live in that area and that didn't make it their permanent home. But lets await his decision.

Whenever I read articles like this, I can’t help but wonder - do the parents fantasizing about their kids becoming football stars realize people like this exist too?
For every 10 players who make it to the top and stay relevant, there are hundreds or thousands more who fade out, forgotten, broke, and broken.
The brutal truth? Unless you’re among the elite few, football is a ticking time bomb.
Look around - most ex-players are either dirt poor or struggling to maintain the life they once had.
Jay Emmanuel has no excuse. He blew it. He collected about £500k per year for 10 years straight. Na long throat and not cutting coat to size cause all these

Who said Nas don't make good music? His music is better than JadaKiss to me. I be Fabolous fan but he's not hard a strong commercial hit since Loso's Way

Most Drake so called good music na bubble gum singalong like One Dance, God's plan and co. Hannah Montana raps.

Like I told you I would rather listen to the originator of his style. Phonte. who raps better and does better ballads (industry machinery no just dey him back)

Kendrick first 4 albums
Section 80
Good kid maad city
To love-vendor a butterfly
Damn

That's arguably the strongest first 4 albums of any rapper in history. Kanye is the only one who can debate it. So that makes his list Fugazi at best.
Apart from It was written, I am and Stillmatic, you have to wade through too much garbage to get to good songs with Nas. I won't credit Distant Relatives when it comes to good music cos thats Damian Marley's doings

I have no complaints with him number 1. But no Nas on his list? I'd take the KD trilogy over anything Drake has dropped since NWTS.

Nas has to be there for me to rate his hip hop ear.

No Tribe Called Quest? Hmmm

And then Drake at 2 grin. Why listen to Drake when I can go and listen to the guy he bit his style from, Phontigallo. Go listen to Little Brother
He said lyricists that also make good music.

That rules out Nas

I wanted you to focus on his comments on Drakes pen

Also Kendrick not there either cos his pen weak or he doesn't make good music. I will say his pen weak

I'm surprised Gyokeres is heavily linked to Arsenal instead of his guy Amorim.

From what I've seen of Delap, he thrives more on counter attack football. Leicester sit deep and counter. At least, that's what they played against us and that why Delap was so dangerous in both legs.... I'll love to see him in the dominating team, trying to break down a defence sitting deep....Not all those "on the run" one on one occasions where he bulldoze his way past defenders.
The strength needed to bulldoze makes it even better to bully in the box so long as his touch is good which it is.

A good strong striker is always better when the play is in the box. That's how Drogba was able to score 33 goals under Ancelotti just playing in the box after being typecast as a counterattack only striker

What you don't want is a striker that can't play outside the box or doesn't have legs to drive into the box, putting tactical limitations on you.

I always prefer players that give tactical flexibility and I hate specialists, that's why I hate most no 10s and jogging DMs like Jogginghoe and Enzo Fernandez

Sanchez ended the season with the highest save percentage in the league.

Buuuuut he also made the most errors leading to goals in the league.

Would have been a very good GK if he wasn't so error prone.
He started boudaying every ball in the last 10 games of the season and we stopped conceding cheap goals. He is actually a superb goalkeeper with his hands, it's his feet that is the problem. If he was in a different generation, he may be rated up there with the best keepers

I concur.. he's a decent striker even though some folks don't like his profile
Same folks who shouted against Palmer signing. Some of the same folks thought we have ticked the box with Lukaku signing but those big signings are often catastrophic and unable to move on like we saw with Lukaku. Osimhen falls in this category which rules him out completely.

Only Gyokeres and Delap are options as far as I am concerned. Gyokeres will be expensive but his wage won't be a problem to move him on if he flops. However Gyokeres is heading Arsenal way, which leaves only Delap as an option

Failing to get Delap, we should look in the sub £40m range cos nobody priced above that is worth it in the market today. We can pick up Jonathan David for free or get our boy Emegha from Stratford while we wait for the right option to materialise. As of now, I think Delap is going to Manure
