cococandy: Elon now trying to distance himself from the damage he’s done. Laying off hundreds of thousands of american families’ breadwinners?
Cutting budgets that help elderly, sick and low income Americans. Opening up the defense/health database to Russian ip addresses. Stealing tax payer social security information for God knows what.
Now he doesn’t want to take responsibility for it? What was he thinking when he was running around the stage with a big chain saw like a spoiled frat boy? He is back to selling dreams to pump up share prices ridiculously past his companies performances. Now fully on the MARS dream, same format he has used the last decade. I sell you MARS, use Arkk investments to pump my share price, and let the Twitter stonk boys who don't know anything about value investing bid my share price to astronomic levels. Same way he sold that his cars electric battery was unreplicable till every car company did it without blinking |

amodu: While the club's approach to sustainability and long-term planning is commendable, Chelsea fans are understandably feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. The shift from the Roman Abramovich era—where spending was aggressive and immediate success was prioritized—to a more strategic, data-driven model has created mixed emotions among supporters.
Fans don’t just crave financial prudence; they want results. They want a team that competes at the highest level, not just promises of future dominance. Spending on young talents is great, but when performances on the pitch don’t reflect ambition, skepticism arises. The disappointment stems from recent inconsistencies, managerial instability, and unconvincing performances despite significant investment.
Yes, ownership is ensuring financial longevity, but fans still need to see clear progress. Winning is the culture Chelsea fans were raised on. If the strategy doesn’t translate into immediate improvements, patience will continue wearing thin. The demand is simple—smart spending is fine, but results must follow.
Let’s hope the latest signings bring tangible success on the pitch, rather than just looking good on paper. Abeg which Financial Prudence Boehly dey practice? |

User09: All you have to do is approach any (solid) financial institution with the airtight contract (usually one with little or no credit risk) - say from a govt institution that clearly states the contractual obligation of $1k per day.
The financial institution would happily offer you at least $6 - $6.5million on day 1. It's the same way the loan system works. Because ultimately, they would get more in 30 years GBAM! |

Griffon: Delap is a proper 9. Picks the ball from the half way line, bulldozing the defenders to gain yardage, links up with his teammates and positions himself very well to strike.
I can imagine how difficult it must have been for him playing with the likes of Hutchinson et al. It was quite a poor supporting cast.
I have no doubt he’ll do well here. With Delap, we've potentially got 2 of England's front 3 in 3 years time (Palmer and Delap). We've hardly been in such a position before |

User09: Oga Ibime, you don scatter everything.
Today was the question, not future value. Present valuing the 1k per day would be more appropriate
My small finance knowledge tells me the 1k per day for the next 30 years was a simple annuity calculation. Although, using your rates (or average 30 years yield) assumptions will bring it to around $7m, - so same conclusion that the 1k per day is better just like your long AP calc.... PV also follow which Potvalor provided, but the assumption behind my calc is not to touch the money for 30 years, and then you can compare both figures in 30 years to see which one big pass. |

Unlimited22: His parents are Gambian. Gambia is Anglophone. He is also Gambian Gambia is like a banana in the mouth of Senegal The South Senegalese trapped in the box I highlighted are separatists who often fight for independence from Senegal. They are wedged in by the Gambians to the North and have more in common with them than the main part of Senegal to the North and travel and tribes/relationship between them is very fluid. So he went South to play football for a Southern Senegalese team when he was "16 years old" and became Senegalese from there

Whizlight: To those who think Sancho is a bad deal for 25 mil are blind to the fact that we are slim in LW options and there are so many options in the market right now. Gittens for 80mins is absolutely stupid and rodrygo wouldn’t likely leave Madrid till after club World Cup and Williams salary is a problem. We have limited time to booster up for the club World Cup so it’s the sensible thing to do. We can offload him later if he doesn’t deliver If Sancho salary can come down to £130k, I have no problem with it |

Capaldi: Delap is rubbish and waste of funds. With that amount we could have gotten an experience Schick who is a clinical finisher and would have gotten at least 20league goals with the amount of chances we create. If we have 80million plus to spare then Retegui. Delap is on the same level as Jackson who we don't need. Be quiet with your snail Schick We are not looking for a Giroud that will be waiting for ball to reach him in the box before he can contribute |

Enzo5: Chelsea have enquired again for Jarrad Branthwaite and advancing on talks for Jorrel Hato. Blues ideally want 2 new defenders.
we are counting defenders that chelsea are not even counting on We don't need any more centre-back, we only need to tighten the midfield We keep looking at problem where there is none Colwill, Fofana, Chalobah, Tosin is a very serviceable backline without even thinking of Sarr Get a fit Lavia or a DM of his ilk and nobody will be talking of centre-back. How many bloody centre-back Una want buy, chasing rats while the roof is burning Centreback is one of the lowest hanging fruit positions in football. Once your midfield is tight, you can win everything with a 6.5 or 7/10 centreback. Joel Matip, Akanji, Stones and bloody Otamendi are proof |

diggz: If we sign Delap and another striker, Jackson might occasionally have to fill in as a left winger or supporting forward—roles he’s taken on earlier in his career. It’s something Maresca hasn’t really had the chance to try yet. But with Sancho hopefully returning to Manchester, and both Neto and Madueke failing to impress, using Jackson out wide might not be such a bad shout—especially if we can’t secure a good left winger. Jackson is a confidence player. He is not someone that can stay bench and come in and shine. If Delap comes, Emegha should come as his back. Between both is just £45m. We will easily get £30m for Jackson in market |

Capaldi: Less than 30million and we get Schick. Extremely clinical, fox in the box and complete, just a tad injury prone. You too dey recommend nonsense. Nobody wants that old Serie A flop that can't run, that will be waiting in box to be spoonfed. This is not Leverkusen where we create numerous box chances, any striker we get must be able to play from halfway line up |
