Sanchez is a disgrace, every ball from him is out of play or to an opponent, he can't even clear ball and keep it within the pitch

Someone can't even run in midfield, you dey play am wing when down to 10 men that you need players that can beat a man to offset the numeric advantage

It's debatable. You can't blame ref for either yellow or red in that circumstance. Jackson should know better, the werey even looked at the defender before jumping in with his forearm out

Is Economics STEM or non-STEM?
At undergrad level, the Maths in Economics no pass finding where lines intersect on a graph and solving for it. This is usually used for things like Break even points, Optimal production volumes, Price elasticity etc. They will actually draw out the graph and start using ruler to find intersection points at undergrad level. I attended few workshops (those ones supervised by PHD students) since I couldn't make lessons and saw my coursemates drawing graph and just laughed, converted everything into simultaneous equations or 3x3 matrix and quickly solved, that's when some guys there started asking me to teach them Linear Algebra, that how will someone use 2 mins to finish what they will labour over for 30 mins grin grin

At PHD level, they do enter into stochastic processes and heavier calculations, but I will say it is 70% art at undergrad level

The excuses have started rolling in. grin But I thought the science bros were the almighty Alpha and Omega?
If science bros are really that elite, then a few responsibilities shouldn’t stop him from obliterating psychology, right? Or does the magic only work when you’re trash talking art students?
After all, y’all swore two hours of light skimming was enough to blitz through any non science course. Now that it’s time to walk the talk, suddenly it’s “life is hard.” grin grin
Wait make him talk him scores first.

Accounting is a light science. For Chartership you only need 50% in each exam and the Chartership is not graded. So once I score my 50%, I'm through to the next round, so I didn't kill myself. A Maths graduate has nothing to prove by being an award winner in Accounting Chartership, same way he doesn't need to carry first in Psychology. He will carry 2.1 with bathroom slippers on at worst, or an easy 1st class, while art students are killing themselves with thousands of hours of revision for the same thing.

I found my faith again and I have centered it solely around Christ. I don't like going to Church but I enjoy NSPPD and Streams of Joy Sunday services on YouTube. It's only Pastor Jerry Eze I listen to his teachings and prayers these days. The Church is sometimes a breeding ground for abuse, sexism, classism and what not. Anyway this is a discussion for another day.
Hmmm. Anyone I've seen following NSPPD and 7am Fire Prayers are usually going through personal crisis. I hope all is well sha

Mind you Psychology is also a science. It has BSc and BA. But for a heavy science guy like him, he will consider it art

bolu96:
Despite the fact that I was much younger, had no responsibilities and had sponsors, I had to study a whole LOT to get decent grades whereas in this Psychology, where responsibilities choke, trying to hustle, I'm basically crusing and still perform well.

There are several Nigerians who were accountants , HR professionals , etc who are now Registred Nurses abroad . Abi nursing no be sciences ?

Read this lady’s story for example

https://avanthealthcare.com/blog/healthcare-professionals/dream-become-inspire-meet-chinyere-rn-.stml#

I even get former neighbor who was working in a financial institution here in Lagos before she left Naija ; today she’s RN in America . She even studied an education course in the varsity that had absolutely nothing to do with science . I didn’t use her example because some people may think it’s a made-up story to win an argument .

People in the management sciences in Nigeria don’t cross to science because there are enough well paying jobs in the management sciences compared to pure , applied and medical sciences . Doctors don’t even earn well like bankers .

Na money Dey affect these decisions in Nigeria not some imaginary reasons u guys are coming up with .
Nursing is not a heavy science my guy

The maths in nursing no pass knowing how to read blood pressure, temperature and how to mix X ounces of drug A with Y ounces of drug B in proportionality

Most nurses are not even university graduates, na why dem get nursing school.

We used to see the Arts students as lazy then because even in class, when there were no teachers, science students are either studying in class or exchanging knowledge. Name of noisemakers always come from Arts class.

He's not wrong, but you'd agree that people that the people that most of the people that chose the arts didn't do so because they were good writers either. For secondary school then, a fair chunk of the writers that represented the school in essay writing competitions were pooled from science classes.
No lie told. It was always the Science students representing their house or school in Literary and Debating Society or inter house or school debates. If it didn't dey, it didn't dey!

When did oil work in Delta State become a major reason to be in science class?
Which conversation do you think we were having in secondary school that our interest for joining science class was to work in O&G.
This is why I said you don't know beyond your immediate environment and you are basing that as general knowledge.
Abeg nau
I don't know which school you went but many of our Parents in my school in PH were connected to oil industry or could see that many people making it in PH were doing so from oil industry

Of the top 3 in my class I referenced earlier, No 3 father worked for Shell, No 2 father was an Accountant who worked with oil companies and also ran for Governor, while No1 father was a Director in Civil Service and ended up as Perm Sec before he died, though I'm not sure what his specialisation was though his relative is Lulu Briggs who was a Don in oil industry. Oil industry or Engineers children full everywhere. At least 5 in my class from Shell.

See mumu argument "A final year physicist will pass the course of a final year political science if he reads it in one week" you think that volume of course load is for fancy. The way you go fail ehn
My bro forget this talk.

A final year Physics student will dust Political Science MASTERS level in one week and come out with first class.

No be yarns, speaking from personal experience my wife studied that same Political Science (International Relations), came out with 2.1 and won't touch me in any Political science talk. Infact she won't know the basis of the Political discussion half the time

From personal experience, i did Masters in Applied Maths, and many of my coursemates had Physics first degree. That's when I knew Physics students had much better Maths than Maths students. I ended up copying most of their coursework to survive.

So u don’t see Ibime who is a first class science graduate making himself both the sample and population of the data set Abi , na when I speak for management/social sciences u Dey point out outlier
I am neither the sample nor population cos I was never 1st nor top 3 in secondary school

My carrying 1st ended in Primary 1 or Primary 2

In JSS, I place top 10, sometimes top 12 in a bad semester. I can argue I would come 4th if I worked hard but there were 3 people clearly better than me. The two guys that drag number 1 and 2 are lawyer and banker now and the 3rd girl (who always came 1st in Maths without fail) is an Engineer in USA

There is not one person in our class of 30 who ended up in Arts at Senior Secondary, not a single one. A few guys from Class B stepped up into Science but Class C and D fully into Arts. Like I said, we done know ourselves right from JSS 1

But wait oh... Do you always look down on non-stem graduates in real life too, or only on nl? You're taking all this stem vs non-stem stuff too serious oh.
Same way our parents discriminated to make sure we understand what puts us in best position in life is same way we must preach the STEM message to the younger generation. This thing fit be matter of life and death for them

Yes I do discriminate in real life. Na so my niece wey spark 9 A stars at GCSE and is more intelligent than all of us talk say she no go do Maths for A Levels. I had been fighting with her for 2 years to let her know A Level Maths is the foundation for her to be brilliant in whatever her course of study. Even if she wants to be a Doctor, she would not be a brilliant Doctor without at least a grounding in Maths up to A Level standard. Luckily she chose Biology and Chemistry for A Levels, leaving the Medicine route open, then combined with English and another nonsense. That one leaves the Lawyer route open. Finally she done pick Law and Cambridge done invite her otherwise would be a monumental waste of talent, so my mind done come down small.

Even at her not choosing Maths at A Levels, my pressure still forced her to seek a solid grounding in Maths that has helped her to be brilliant at A Levels and will surely mould her logical reasoning going forward. This life no be play, adults wey know as market be should not allow children to make wrong choices and fumble their future success

And before you start capping, I am a science student.

So how many secondary schools did you attend in Delta State to deduce that majority of the class A students where in science class?
Because unlike you, my family owned a secondary school in warri and I am pretty sure I have better understanding of how education works than you.

So how you take come to this conclusion?
Wetin you dey yarn sef?

Is there anywhere class A students gravitate more toward Arts than Sciences?

Na Rivers State I dey, which one be Delta. And no be only una get school

Voltron of the Arts

No be talk, we did it. Most of my Maths courses were revised in one week max, some in one night. My Partial Differential Equations exam was sewn up from scratch in 3 days with 96% pass mark, you dey talk about social sciences wey we go use 2 hours memorise everything for the whole semester.

In accounting exams, we had Enterprise, Management and Financial pillars. Never spent more than one overnight session on Enterprise and Management modules, na Financial modules we dey spend like 3 days on.

I have a friend who is now in Angola who studied tourism degree. I did every single one of his coursework and had him on course for 1st class, the nugga fvcked it up back to 2.2 with his performance in exams. Funny enough he is the nigga I am always arguing with about Ibrahima Traore, bloody art student

Don't compare memorisation skills with science students please. Niggas done see blood for eye. I am a particularly lazy student who only gears up in exam week, have done that my whole life. Accounting exams especially the non-numeric ones were like walk in the Park after tackling heavy Maths exams up to Masters level at one or few days notice. Na Kola nut and redbull we dey use write Maths exam, zero sleep the night before having left revision till last minute. But if na arts course, we will sleep like baby, wake up 5 am, read for 2 hours and pass exam without attending one lesson all semester. I am speaking from experience because my degree was 3/4 Maths, 1/4 Economics. Never attended Economics lessons because they clashed with my Maths modules and were too easy to catch up on.

You have a habit of renovating people’s speech and “saying what u think someone meant “. Person wey talk no put any qualifying words to say he was referring to multiple choice or theory exam.

He just felt because of his general knowledge of systems of government , current affairs and listening to news he would ace a subject called “Government “ . He attempted saw a glimpse of multiple choice questions and agreed he won’t ace it like he claimed earlier .

Why do u feel the need to still try to cling on to the possibility of him acing the exam ? 🤷‍♂️
I actually got 2 of the 4 questions you posted without blinking. That's already 50%. With guessing on the multiple choice, I may get one of the other 2. With one night of revision, I would get them both, so rest with your Government talks.

E get some Maths or Physics courses, you will start reading one week out from the exam and you will quit within the first 10 mins because you know you have no chance. Immediately, headache and depression will start to catch you simultaneously and you will just write it off as carryover because you can't kill yourself.
