RVP scored against Birmingham did he? Remind me who won that game? Birmingham of all people. How come when DD is writing headlines (7 goals at 7 Wembley finals), RVP is nowhere to be seen. Someone is even telling me RVP converted his penalty in the 2005 shootout with Manure. Like. . . seriously? ![]() When peeps talk about the history of this era, DD would be miles ahead of RVP. . . simples. |
@Ibime I think u owe Ramires an unreserved apology!! The guy perform for una gaaan this season
I dont owe him no apology. He's been abysmal in central midfield. RDM agreed with me that he can only perform on the wing or full-back and thats where he's been performing. His pace and energy has been utilised on the wing (as I recommended) and his abysmal passing and stupid running away from the ball has been removed from central midfield (as I recommended). You should be apologising to me for calling it right. |
DD's performance on the big stage once again(5 FA cups, 4 in 6 years = scoring 4 winners) shows why DD would always be reckoned with over Van Persie in this era. When big matches are played, Drogba is everywhere, and Van Persie is never there! (Jay-Z) |
hehehehe. . . . see as Chelsea players form circle around Bosingwa and Bosingwa is dancing alanta. . .good team spirit around a player who almost cost us the game ![]() |
My favourite is his headed goal against Gabon simply because that was the first time I had my senses. I was a little too young during Senegal 92 and dont remember his goals although I watched the whole tournament with my dad. The goal against Gabon was pure class. At that age, it was amazing to me that you could height the keeper and collect the ball on the other side. The goal I celebrated the most was his goal against Bulgaria though, simply because that goal told us we had arrived on the World stage. It was the first time I was seeing Nigeria compete against World-level teams and ma heart was beating like mad until Yeking popped that goal. RIP Yeking! |
Well its Millwall territory. . . we're just basically crossing the River. . . literally one or two miles from Stamford Bridge. . . and probably the only place in South-West-Central London with such space for a footie stadium. . . |
Chelsea have submitted bid to buy Battersea Power station in order to build a 60,000 seater stadium on the site. . . looks like we're moviing into Millwall territory. |
lalaboi: Ibime. . . i go turn you to eran ibileI hope you remember last year's semi-final against Borokiri Boyz. . . go check your records again. . . ![]() |
Going by culture the man should foot the bill for d wedding. That's d way it should be in africa culture, if he doesn't have enough he should cut to his size. Our custom demands dat a marry should take the whole responsibilty "to be a man ino easy". That doesn't mean dat d woman should use her money in running of the family buh it must be after she has been married int the house.
Which culture is this? English white wedding is not our culture. If we wanna follow English tradition, we should follow it to the letter. . . in English tradition, the father of the bride pays for the wedding. Why should the OP be stressing her fiance over something her father should be handling? ![]() |
The OP should know that no man ever dreamed of his wedding day as a child. Most men do not care if they get married in front of a congregation or infront of two witnesses. In other words, whatever the man decides to spend on a wedding is a gift to his wife. That you expect a man to ignore his primary responsibility of providing shelter in order to cater for your wedding fantasy (secondary responsibility) speaks more about you than the guy. Perhaps you would prefer if he asked you to take care of shelter so he could pay for the wedding. I actually feel sorry for this man you are about to marry. No man wants to marry a flaky woman with mixed-up priorities. |
ritchboy: Well, thank Lucifer for luck-based games otherwise nuccas with poor IQ like Ibime and Lalaboiy would have committed suicide before adulthood!Cry me a river!!! ![]() Luck got you into H2H play-offs. Nuccahs like Amangala have long taken their team to top of main league whilst you focus on luck-based games against the likes of Gat2Lose FC. See you next season! ![]() |
coogar: chelsea stopping winning the league when ballack arrived. until his arrival, jose had done back to back titles.Another unknowledgeable fool chatting nonsense. Chelsea lost 2006/2007 for several reasons none of which has to do with Ballacks ability. JM had to carry dud Sheva in his team for a whole season prompting Jose to change to a diamond formation and bench Robben and Duff. Even still, Chelsea woulda won the league except for our defensive crisis in November/December/January when Cech got his head broken and was replaced by Hilario who proceeded to drop points with cheap mistakes. At the same time, Chelsea had to play with Ferreira and Essien at centre-back during the whole of December when Carvalho and Terry got injured whilst Jose shunned Boulahrouz. That period, we went from 5 points ahead of Utd to 8 points behind. Absolutely nothing to do with Ballack. That was when Jose asked for Micah Richards and David Silva to replace Boulahrouz and Sheva and when Chelsea told him to take Alex back from PSV instead, he made his statement about class C eggs. You my friend know nothing about midfield play so stop chatting shite. After that season, Chelsea was playing with duds Malouda and Joe Cole on the wing, and Ballack, Lampard and Essien were the ones who carried Chelsea to anything they managed to achieve even in the absence of good wingers. I cant imagine Carrick carrying wingers like Malouda (whose form was absolutely terrible until 09/10) and Joe Cole. He might get relegated like he did at West Ham after Lampard left him to carry Joe Cole and such by himself. ![]() Even Tom Huddlestone took Tottenham to Champions League and despite Huddlestones lack of movement performed at a level way higher than anything Carrick ever achieved. Everyone knows Carrick is the perennial passenger in Utd side. Owen Hargreaves and Fletcher already sonned him within 2 seconds of coparing them in Utd midfield, and you can never compare them to Ballack in any analysis of European football history. If not for injuries to Fletcher, Hargreaves and Anderson over the last few years, Carrick would be playing for Sunderland now with his mates Wes Brown and John O'Shea. Please dont compare relegation-CV nonentities like Carrick (22 England caps in 12 years) to European midfield heavyweights like Ballack who have carried lesser teams like Leverkusen of early 21st century to the absolute pinnacle of European football and carried Germany to World and European finals as their best player. |
coogar: but it was carrick pissing on ballack in rome - champions league final.Stop chatting nonsense. . . .Mourinho never branded Ballack Class c eggs. Mourinho was talking about Boulahrouz and Sheva. Didnt you (Sauron) claim you went to Champions League final in Moscow? Which one you dey talk say na Rome? First half of the final in Rome, Scholes (not Carrick) dominated midfield. . . but only cos the midfield was pushed back by Ronaldo whom Joe Cole dropped back to virtually right-back to double up with Essien on Ronaldo. Manures width created space for Scholes to pick passes. Second half and extra time, Ballack, Lampard and Makelele absolutely shitted on Carrick and Scholes despite still having Joe Cole playing virtually right-back. Omo, no yarn nonsense here. Ballack was absolute quality in his time at Chelsea. As soon as he left, guys were wondering how Chelsea went from title contenders every season to struggling with the likes of Ramires. |
^^^He would need 13 bonus points actually! ![]() If only I had started Kompany ahead of Taylor, I would be pushing 150 points sef. Sitting in the corner (Don't dull) Wearing Dolce and Gabanna (Don't dull) Awon BOYS DONE HAMMER!!!! (Don't Dull!) ![]() |
coogar: he was the player of the season in all the seasons he spent in the premier league, wasn't he?You are an obdurate fool if you cant recognise great midfield play. Ask Chelseans, even when Chelsea went to Bayer Arena in Champions league this season, 36 year old Ballack still ran midfield. Carrick ko, Carrick ni! Please dont mention lucky players here. Carrick can only show medals that the likes of Ronaldo, Nani, Vidic and Rooney won for him. |
Who says Ballack didnt do well in EPL? Slap that guy! @ All, No shaking. I never expected Spurs to drop points anyway so I always put my faith in winning the UCL. That boy Ramires is only good for games where we have to defend, not games like this where we control the possession and the opposition sit deep with no chance to counterattack them. |
Demdem: Nothing good can ever come out from the retardeen's administration. Just as it was in bayelsa, likewise is it at the national level now. It was "padi-padi" time throughout his stay in bayelsa. this has now been absorbed at the national level. The retardeen cant change. It may only look good from afar or to those who cant discern well, getting closer, one will realise that its poison.Well some of them wanted "continuity" so they endorsed GEJ. Continuity of corruption. |
Fellaini is a Europa league midfielder, not a top-class material. Even for Belgium, Axel Witsel and Steven Defour are better. He's too tall to react quickly to balls on the ground. His feet dont move quick enough in tight areas. Some boys just dey trip because he did Zidane pirouettes. |
Cockblockers' season ends with limp surrender to Galacticos Prolific Cockblockers fans were today waking up to the bitter news that their team have suffered a resounding defeat to Galacticos. A cacophany of laughter greeted Cockblockers' demise as rival managers could not pass up the opportunity to poke fun at Sir 4k-a-lot. FPL news caught up with rival manager Captain Amangala at the fishing port of Ipukulubiye, a 5 minute boat ride from Borokiri, PH where the Ipukulu Marines are based. According to Amangala, "Sir 4k-a-lot is an eediot. Its a case of a fool counting his chickens before they hatch." Sir 4k-a-lot had stocked his team with double gameweek players and had taunted rival managers before Gameweek 36 believing he had superior firepower. According to Amangala "4k-a-lot claimed that Ipukulu Marines were lucky not to draw Cockblockers, but even if we had drawn them this week, we would have beaten them." Amanagala went on to add "what's the point of dominating the regular H2H season, only to fall at the first hurdle in the play-offs? Kai, this guy is trophyless once again." |
We all remember Yaylow from the Mohits Enigma contest. Well he's back with a new mixtape called "All na yarns" This guy is just too much mehn. coogar: he's the best young player in the league. it's a shame he plays for a shitty teamVictor Moses that cant lift his head when running with the ball? Victor Moses upturn in form has been precipitated by his deployment in a central attacking position cos that dude is hopeless at finding team-mates from the wing. At the moment, due to sheer physicality and dribbling skills, I would rate Moses as upcoming. . . but very far from the finished article. The most composed young winger in English football today is Nathan Redmond of Birmingham. That dude has all the skills and pace required, but most importantly, he is deadly efficient at lifting his head and playing the right pass or cross to his team-mates. He reminds me of Ashley Young in his Watford days in terms of his final ball, but he has more skill than Ashley. Hoilett is brilliant, but something is lacking in his game ie finishing and crossing. He is good at passing though, but he slows down, cuts inside and finishes off his dribbles with a simple five-yard square ball which defeats the object of his dribbling. He needs to work more on his penetration rather than playing square passes after cutting inside. He looks more like an inefficient playmaker than a winger when he cuts inside, although I give him kudos for not finishing off his move with wild shots and crosses like Victor Moses. Along with Ola John of FC Twente, I would place Nathan Redmond amongst the best sub-£12m young wingers in Europe. Hoilett can get to the very top as well as long as he works on his crossing and finishing. |
ritchboy: What I'm really interested in knowing is why Gomez' 40 goals + 6 assists make him better than RvP(35 goals + 14 assists) but Huntelaar's 47 goals + 15 assists don't make him better than Gomez and every other striker for that matter.Because 14 of those goals come in Europa League plus many more are penalties. Gomez has scored more pure goals minus penalties. Secondly, Huntelaar does not hold the ball up like Gomez and is not central to his teams tactical play. Huntelaar vs RVP this season is a debate I'd happily accept. Huntelaar > RVP in 2011/2012! |
nateevs: Meanwhile, is there the slightest possibility that Pep might be off to Chelsea.Maybe Roman (abi na you) think Lucien Favre can beat Barcelona. Thumping Cologne 4-1 is the same as thumping QPR 6-1. Thumping Spurs 5-1 is an extra effort Lucien Favre cannot manage. Beating Barca 3-2 is something Lucien Favre cannot dream of. And BTW, I hope Roman knows that Lucien Favre is a counterattacking manager, not a possession manager. Mochengladback game is to use "low blocks" then release Mike Hancke and Marco Reus on counterattack. I am suspect to believe these media reports are figments of the writer's imagination but if they are true, then Abramovic and his advisors are real FOOLS. RDM was given a brief to take Chelsea across the finish line - hopefully qualify for Europe. He has broken the remit of what he was assigned to do, and done his job 120% - beyond what he was asked. I have not seen a manager at Chelsea who has common sense like RDM. All our managers had flaws. JM, Avram Grant and Hiddink sometimes did not always attack the small teams and beat into submission like 6-1, 8-0 etc. Ancelotti did not know how to keep a tight compact formation against the big teams to prevent counterattack (with the exception of Arsenal) AVB and Scolari did not know how to defend, full stop. Ranieri was just an eediot who threw away Champions League semi-final by bringing on Veron (who had been injured for 2 months) at half-time in a game we were leading against Monaco, switching to 3-5-2 and playing Scott Parker as a wing-back - allowing Monaco to score 3 goals in 2nd half. The manager who has shown greatest adaptability so far is RDM - when it time to attack, he knows to attack, when its time to defend, he knows how to defend. Quote: Where his predecessor was obsessed with copying Barcelona, Di Matteo has been expedient and, ironically, finished off not just the Catalans' Champions League campaign but also saw off Guardiola, Villas-Boas's ultimate role model. Asked about Di Matteo's tactical changes this week, Branislav Ivanovic emphasised the lack of ideology. 'He doesn't try to put out a team with one strategy,' said Ivanovic. 'He does the opposite. If a player has a quality, he tries to show this quality on the pitch. The first couple of games when he started to be our coach was important to him and to us as well. We started to play trying to win. It doesn't matter how or which way.' coogar: it didn't touch 2 players of the opposing team. adebayor guarded the ball for van der vaart to whack it.How you feeling? ![]() |
ritchboy: Drogba cannot lace RvP right boot not to mention his left, only retarded Chelsea fans like yourself(and I'm sure there are many more) would rate Drogba over RvP when "looking back on the era 2000 - 2015".And only a mumu like yourself will give RVP precedence over DD in an era where Chelsea have won 3 league titles, 3 FA Cups, 1 Carling Cup, reached 6 UCL semi-finals and 2 finals with Drogba as the central character. Ritchboy, you need deliverance!!! |
edoyad: I know ritchie didnt take the comment he made above seriously but it is very pertinent to this discussion, infact I think it is what sets RVP supreme over Gomez. I got this from wiki ....Please. . . .the difference in assists between Gomez and RVP can be chalked up to corners and free-kicks. ritchboy: Gomez scores goals, RvP scores goals, the difference is RvP does everything else far better than Gomez. Unless you have dog-shit for brains it's obvious who the better player is.What a silly question. RVP does everything better than Drogba, but the one thing Drogba does better (hold up play, target man, aerial strength) has been crucial to Chelsea team for almost a decade and has impacted the Premier League, Champions League and everything else more than anything RVP could ever do. When people are looking back on the era 2000 - 2015, Drogbas influence would take precedence over RVP. Likewise, when Gomez is leading attack for Bayern, defenders just dont know how to handle him. Nobody would ever compare Gomez and DD with RVP on a technical level. . . . but for their contribution to the team, all bets are off!! |
nateevs: At £7m, the only way I could be upset about this transfer is if he turns out worse than "Kalouda". .I dont see how Marin will be better than Gael Kakuta. I would rather give Kakuta his chance than to stock the squad with more filler material. We shoulda been looking at Junior Hoillet on free transfer instead. I have faith in Lukaku and Courtois. I believe De Bruyne is also a very efficient winger although not super fast. If we can get enough speed around De Bruyne, he will produce assists all day with his wonderful crosses. |
edoyad: Abeg gerrout, because Mario Jardel was scoring 100 goals in the Portuguese League didn't make him a better striker than Ronaldo. And what makes you think the Premier League is better than Bungesliga, you obnoxious Arrow? |
