Fabrice, all is well. You shall recover, continue your footie and complete that Maths degree in Jesus name. |
Transferred out Ramires and Suarez for Sigurdsson and Rooney. Could be the best bit of business I've done this season. ![]() |

saintneo: Considering Tri(CDN), by sine rule,Apart from the fact that he should not be introducing a third variable (sin(unknown angle)), he should not be using sine rule here, neither is this the sine rule Also: CN/sin D ≠ AB/sin D |
It is very easy to be drawn into circular arguments when proving this algebraically as you only have one expression for one of the sides in triangle CND but two variables (x and y). To prevent this, you have to use two different ratios: (1.) Ratio between similar sides from the two different triangles (2.) Ratio between adjacent/opposite in the same triangle. If your value for the length of the sides simultaneously satisfies (1.) and (2.), then your proof is validated. See working out below:

coogar:Exactly why he should be on the wing. What central midfielder gets the ball and start running with it through the centre? What the stats dont tell you is how many times Ramires receives the ball and instead of passing, he starts running into opposition. The stats wont record that as a failed pass. . . because he never attempted to pass. The only pass Ramires will ever attempt is easy pass sideways when nobody is around so his success rate should be high. Ramires wont even bother to show for the ball if theres any player around him. |
Hey Nateevs, you summed it up perfectly: Ramires is central midfield version of Theo Walcott. EOD. |
Im not concerned with Malouda and Mikel. Ive written those guys off since, so lemme just talk about my favourite subject. . . . Ramires. . . Ramires is a player that wows them "highlights" watchers like BlueDiva. One day I sat down with two of ma friends (one Arsenal and one Manure) in my house. I asked them to help me analyse this Ramires fella. Throughout the game we kept rewinding and pausing the game, at every stage pointing out where Ramires hides when his teammate has the ball, also pointing out every point where Ramires gets the ball and runs with the ball through the centre of midfield into the middle of players who rob the ball from him. At the end of the night, my guys said "You're right, this Ramires guy just makes silly runs with the ball and hides from his teammates all the time. He gets the ball and he cant see a pass." Ramires is good at running off the ball. . . . but. . . Ramires is silly enough to run with the ball through the centre of midfield for no apparent reason apart from the fact that he can run. Infact Ramires still makes runs like a right-back playing in central midfield (BTW RB is where he started his career) Ramires hides from the ball, thats why he only completes 25-30 passes a match whilst his fellow midfielders are completing 60-80 passes. Thats why I said that Ramires would be better served playing on the wing (which is where he played last night) where he can use his energy without us relying on him to keep possession cos that guy is a DIRE central midfielder. Ibime: Ibime:Finally, niggas act like Ramires has not been at Chelsea for two years. What single day can you remember him running any midfield? All you remember is a pacy burst you saw on MOTD highlights. Some peeps yapping about Ramires like Ramires has not been in the midfield against Napoli and Birmingham 1st leg. That dude is one of the worst midfielders I can think of. Di Matteo should just keep him on the wing. Lets look at how many chances he's created from midfield this season:
|
So some niggas with no hope of winning the league are hoping to create their own cup? |
Ramires should stay on the wing. He has no business in central midfield. . . . he can use his perspiration, pace and hustle on the wing ala Valencia but such one-footed blind bat has no business in central midfield. . . simples. . . |
Niggas need to ask themselves what the team has done since Ramires became a fixture. When Ramires was dropped this time last year, Chelsea suddenly jumped from 5th to the top of the table. Success no be by gra-gra. Some players can earn kudos for their physicality, but blind bats like Ramires never add nothing to their teammates. The amount of times the nigga goes on foolish runs into the centre of trouble instead of feeding a free teammate is enough to make one puke. Ramires lacks class. I dont see Chelsea running any midfield with Ramires in the centre. Maybe he may serve better utility as a winger. Gimme a 34 year old Ballack anyday. |
coogar:That nigga just arrived in the top 10 on the back of his 83 point haul. He wasnt in the top 10 before this week. |
Na me hammer pass for the top 10 this week. . . . 69 points. . . . top 3 by end of the week. . . Abeg make una help me ask Lalaboiy how he only managed 23 points this week! ![]() |
azpekuliar:In the real world, if you have an asset you cannot sell, you collect rents from it until you can sell it. There was never going to be a revolution at Chelsea due to the fact that our players are too well paid to shift. It takes a manager with a wise head to get the best out of these players. Whilst we were waiting for our old heads to wind down their contract so we can rebuild the team, RA was busy adding unshiftable toxic assets like Torres to the team. I hope your guys in your local viewing centre told you this! ![]() Chelsea has spent £100m in the last year without improving the squad one jolt - Torres, Luiz, Meireles and Ramires. In any other team, £100m would rebuild the whole first 11. The new manager does not only have to see the old brigade through to their end. . . he has to see out these duds. |
He may have succeeded with a young team full of new players where he is the be-all and end-all. However when you are managing institutions like Chelsea with club legends with time on their contract, you need an old wise head to get the best out of em and keep em happy. AVB was impetuous, obnoxious and had poor man management. It was evident with his treatment of Alex and Anelka, Lampard and Cole. He even set about rubbishing the likes of Terry and Lampard, bringing unnecessary sheet to the front of our conciousness like "Terry cannot play high-line and Lampard cannot press high with speed." Duh! Every man and his dog know Terry and Lampard have never been pacy, yet wise managers have always known how to get the best out of em. He doesnt know how to deal with big players with egos. He even went on radio last week comparing Torres to Shevchenko and Kezman. Thats something fans should say, not managers. The only good thing he did was the signing of Oriol Romeu. I wont even give him credit for Mata cos even Joe Bloggs coulda signed Mata. The guy is a youth corper, not a qualified professional. |
AVB = The right manager at the wrong time. . . . |

coogar:Yeah. . . strikers who have been scoring. . . Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov. . . not striker who looks like he needs deliverance from TB Joshua before he even venture inside the box. . . AVB's decisions are no longer "political", they are silly. A political decision is a decision to play Torres over Lukaku. . . 3 months ago! A silly decision is the decision to still be playing Torres 10 games in a row in 2012 when even RA accept he's a dud. A silly decision is when Torres has proven himself a completely blunt instrument during DDs absence, to continue to use him as an option off the bench when Kalou and Lukaku are sitting there. I hope you enjoyed Soldados hattrick for Spain. Obviously tiki-taka was not too slow for him, although he prefers being played through like Torres. nateevs:You cannot prove it wasnt the reason we lost either. I can assert that West Brom would find less space with Essien on the pitch with confidence. I cannot say that West Brom cannot score a corner with Essien on the pitch, but I can say that they may not have won that corner at that time. All it is at the end of the day is that AVB leaves himself open to criticism with this bovine-brained decision. I still do not understand what his tactical aim was by bringing Torres on. Was his tactical aim for Torres to score? If so, he should be sent to the doctor immediately. Even RA does not pressure him to play Torres anymore so what is his aim exactly? This is a manager not working toward a clear goal, but getting sidetracked by other issues clouding his judgement. Torres has no business chasing a game for Chelsea after his showing in DD's absence. Even Mark Lawrenson had to put a video together for MOTD to show Torres stopping his runs on edge of the box and comparing with other Chelsea players who run into the box. He should be sent to rehab to rebuild his psyche. |
nateevs:There are issues though. Its a fundamental question. What kind of brilliant management involves leaving your team without defensive screening in order to bring on a striker who hasnt scored for 20 hours? Sheeeet, his substitution would be excused if it was Lukaku being thrown on. At this stage, after 20 hours without goal, Torres is the kinda guy you throw on to grab some confidence when the team is 2-0 ahead. We're not talking about what Essien or anyone else was creating. I woulda been happy to walk away with a point, which was my expectation before the match. In economics, we have something called opportunity cost. If the opportunity cost of losing defensive stability of Essien is bringing on Torres who hasnt scored for 20 hours, give me 0-0 dour score anytime. No one knows what would happen if Essien stayed on the pitch, but guaranteed West Brom would find less space in the midfield and most likely we would not have the situation which led to the corner. Talking about Napoli, whats the opportunity cost of playing an open midfield away at Napoli. The players we played today could have gone to Napoli and won, draw or lost, but guaranteed, the tie would still be alive with only one goal in it. Now, West Brom is a strong team, especially in midfield and no team can go to West Brom and claim they won the game in midfield. Usually, they would win the game by overlapping the wings or through aerial balls. So Im not worried about what you think the midfield did because at the end of the day, I back Mulumbu and co to hold their own against any midfield in the Prem. I would not argue the same argument we have been having since 2008 which has since been disproven. The likes of Lamps, Cole and Essien have proven themselves every season without fail, always competing for titles. The only anomaly lies with AVB. Taking off Essien for Torres is just a hint of unbelievable decisions this season. We could go 20 minutes earlier and ask what he thought Malouda would bring, even if Sturridge was being profligate. You could play Ramires on the right-wing or at worst Kalou if you are unhappy with Sturridge but for Godssake, playing Malouda is one of those constant decisions the manager has made umpteen times this season without reward. The question is so fundamental though - as fundamental as Wengers decision to bring on Arshavin for Oxlade a while back. What exactly is the intended attacking purpose of chasing a game by bringing on a striker who hasnt scored for 20 hours at the opportunity cost of losing your shape? When Fergie take off Carrick for Berbatov/Hernandez, at least we know the intent, even if Manure lose shape and lose the game. Where lies the intent in Torres? Maybe RA would give the final verdict soon enough. |
nateevs:You forget the main point. . .solid 3 in midfield with Essien wouldnt have conceded 3 goals against Napoli. . . Would West Brom have won the corner or had the space in midfield to force the corner if Essien was on the pitch? West Brom is all about their midfield. . . everybody knows that West Brom can pass you to death. . . why would a manager take off his DM against West Brom? Its an attacking change, I hear you say? What kind of attacking change involves bringing on a player who hasnt scored for 20 hours? Looks like a manager gunning for a payoff. When have DD and Torres ever linked up well? Everytime they play together, the play is disjointed. None of em drops deep to link up play efficiently. What you have left is a team with no link between midfield and attack, and yet no defensive midfielder. You might call it an attacking change, I call it unbalancing the team suicidally. |
Im wondering why I forgot about Sigurdsson when I sold Valencia. . . the dude just missed out on a place in my midfield, yet when I went to transfer Valencia, I forgot about him and went for Ramires. . . ![]() |
nateevs:And the dudes who played against Napoli killed the tie shebi? AVB handed West Brom the game by taking off Essien for Torres, leaving the team disjointed and handing West Brom the midfield. |
Some lucky ninjas have RVP as Vice-Captain. . . dem want take ojoro extend lead. . . |
I knew it! |
nateevs:Shall we revise your argument that "we shall judge Torres when he starts playing with Mata and Sturridge now?" I remember telling you that Anelka is 10 times a better team-player than Sturridge and if Torres cannot shine with Anelka, Sturridge cannot help him. |
Ashley cole is playing like he wants AVB sacked tonight. nateevs:Common factor = Ramires! Soon as Ramires was benched (for the most part) around Feb last season, Chelsea went unbeaten for eons, finishing comfortably in second place and even had a chance of catching Manure. |
