Tboogie swiftly swept aside. . . easiest win in H2H history. ![]() On the other hand, Sauron has eroded my 18 point lead. . . but he should be careful not to count eggs before they hatch. My players yet to play will erase any gains he has made today. . . |
Are you guys having a laugh? Mario Gomez has scored 40 goals this season (minus penalties). RVP has scored 30 goals from open play. In Europe, Gomez has beasted RVP. RVP may be more skillful, but like Gerd Muller, no amount of skill competes with Gomez' deadly efficiency. Gomez has been Europe's premium no 9 this season despite what Gaynners may say. |
coogar: marko marin is a brilliant player on playstation. one of my most trusted foot soldiers when it comes to the crunch.Size is not an issue. The likes of Messi, David Silva and Mata hustle tenaciously on the ball despite their size. Marin just gets swatted off the ball like a fly. |
I am not enthused by our signing of Marko Marin - with Lukaku going on loan in opposite direction. Dayo, What do you reckon of Marin's progress in the last 2 years. He has not come on as expected IMO. I've never liked the guy - too small, gets bullied off the ball, and doesnt make the difference in the final third. However, looking at the price - £7m, its not too bad. If we can isolate him in space where defenders cannot physically impose him, he can be more effective. Fingers crossed, he will do better at Chelsea. Dayo, please give us the final word on this signing. |
Disturbing news that Cahill may be out of the final with his hamstring. Who will handle Mario Gomez aerial threat? Guys, lets pray for Cahill's quick recovery. |
In two years, Tito Villanova will be being hyped for the Chelsea job. Barca makes the manager, not the other way round. |
coogar: and neither lampard nor drogba would score that ramires goal in a billion years.they've scored much better. Ask Barca about Lamps goal at the Nou Camp few years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-yAUTtRWBg |
El Guapo: Thats Ibime's Bestman!Only goes to prove what Ive been saying all season long. . . Ramires is only good for running from the wings. Since RDM took over, Ramires has not played central midfield for one minute. . . better central midfielders are doing the job. Like I've said several times, Ramires best position is on the wings. Ramires could not make that Lampard pass in a million years. . . |
Are you guys ready for a repeat of the 4-2 demolition of Allianz arena? Dayo would never forget Lamps goal in that defeat. |
nateevs: Trust me the players in the youth are infinitely technically superior to the first team.I dont think you know much about football. Do you know how many youngsters I've seen who seem to have skill? I dont reckon with small boys football. Shebi Gael Kakuta was the most skillful player at Chelsea 2 years ago? Everybody has skill until he is tested on the big stage. You claimed Daniel Sturridge was the best thing since sliced bread and together with Mata, would make Torres excel. When Daniel was exposed to continuous scrutiny, we saw the obvious flaws in his decision making. You remember how I used to like Ricardo Quaresma, until his poor decision making became more pronounced? I know youngsters with skill when I see them. Thats why one of the only youngsters I rate extremely highly now is Ola John of FC Twente. Kai, that boy is an animal. The boy always lifts his head up when cutting in from the wing and always makes the right decision. Shebi you remember when Samuele Della Bonna was better than Lampard? (Old school Chelsea fans would remember). At the end of the day, Lampard always had more skill than Della Bonna. Della Bonna just denge on the ball a bit more, but when you talk about skill - finishing, volleying, passing, crossing, keeping possession - Lamps was better - yet I was one of those who go to Stamford Bridge to scream at Ranieri to play Della Bonna instead of Lamps. Skill is something you cant see. Ariel Ortega could dribble better than Maradona but he lacked the composure to make the difference. Thats the kind of skill our youngsters have - it is not decisive skill!!! How many of those boys could hold possession like Mikel, chest the ball from the air like Drogba, swivel and score. Do you know that Drogba advised Lukaku that his first touch is not good enough? How can DD with his seemingly poor first touch advise Lukaku to improve his touch? Its simple - look at Drogbas touch when the ball is not on the floor - nobody can trap the ball from the air better than Drogba, even if the ball is knee-height, waist-height or chest-height. That is skill!!! How many of those boys could pick out assists in the blink of an eye like Lampard. Those boys may look good cos they denge on the ball but none of em can pick the three passes Lamps picked in the semi against Barca - the two passes to Ramires and the one to Kalou where Kalou just stopped running. All Chelsea have always needed is some pace on the wing. Those are the only skills we are missing in the team. You give Guardiola them boys and he'll take em to relegation. |
Some of these Islamic fundamentalists have nothing better to do with their time than think about trivial issues that does nothing to develop society. Pure waste of brain power if you ask me. How can a society develop when the leaders spend all their time thinking about whether a man should have sex with his dead wife or not? |
^^^It is not possible for Tboogie to beat me next round. . . not with 3 Double Gameweek players (one of which is Miyaichi). Better pray we dont meet in GW 37. |
Bladder - the black and white leather ball Flying Carpet - the weightless rubber ball that obeys the wind Tango - the orange ball that bounces all over the place Make we tap leather - lets play football Oliseh - Long ball Bulala - wire shot Heighting - play the ball over opponents head and trap it on the other side Trapping - to control ball Post to post - two man game taking shots at each other Minus one - Rubbish player Swabbing - when you faint to go one way and send the player in the opposite direction |
coogar: i am putting my money on chamokazzy! How so, when he's never won a cup in his life? Only Ipukulu and Tboogie have won a cup competition before. Im gonna trash Tboogie for beating me in last year's final. ![]() Ipukulu Marines and Cockblockers are already through to the semi-final. |
Youngk: Three conner kicks make one penalty, hahahaha. . . . you just reminded me of a long lost memory. . . |
ritchboy: Hehehe, fear not Ibime, the gods of FPL have smiled upon you and drawn me against Galacticos.Praise be to God!!!! ![]() ritchboy: I also remember warning you about your tie against Pharoah not being over when you were counting your chicks before the fuck. If Jet Bombers had sneaked a win against TBOOGIE and you lost you wouldn't have even qualified!Actually I woulda qualified on goal difference. I actually drew with Pharoah. . . and as you know my goal difference is the best in the whole league!!! |
Ha my favourite topic. . . These are PortHarcourt slangs for street footie. . . (1.) "say say say" - means pass the ball (2.) "Home!" - means pass the ball back to defence and start building up the play from the back again (3.) "Opio" - means nutmeg (4.) "Answer" - used when you pull off a trick to show your trick worked (5.) "Man on" - means there is a man behind you (6.) "Give I give" - means lets cool off and pass the ball around (while we rest) (7.) "Sam Pam" - means lets pass the ball (but in a more dynamic way to hurt the opponent) (8.) "We dey count set" - used when your team appears on the pitch and there is a match already going on (9.) "Fool" - Pig in the middle training game (10.) "Escobar" - own goal (11.) "Ballay ay" - used for ballay game to indicate service |
FPL did me strong ting. I dont know how I managed to draw the game with Pharoah. It was down to some silly bonus points. I have already forfeited the game against Cockblockers. I was gonna be in the race, but injury to Assou-Ekotto just made things complicated and put him at a 4 DGW players advantage. Anyway, I have bigger cats to fry! (coogar) |
toba: simple this' how we'll play in the final.Three years ago when Kroos was on loan to Leverkusen, Dayo recommended getting rid of Kroos because of the emergence of Muller. The difference is clear now. On another note. . . So Tymoschuk plays centre-back now? How about the giant Belgian clown? |
^^You spoke ma mind! Bayerns midfield is one of the best. . . but their defence is naive, and I trust my men to exploit some gaps in there! |
^^^Ronaldo choked when he scored 2 goals? You guys mehn! I dont see you applying same standards to Messi. If Ronaldo choked today, then Messi pissed himself yesterday. |
Daaaaaaaayoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! ![]() We meet again my friend! Please who will be replacing Alaba, Badstuber and Gustavo? |
John Terry being left behind. . . ![]()

Jarus: I get your point. I have actually stopped defending him. I do so on invitation now. Two of the first few posts here read: where is Jarus to defend Sanusi? That was a direct invitation.Hey man. . . when I reach Naija, you have to introduce me to him. . . btw, I never got to say congrats on your wedding. I also had to follow suit last month. |
coogar: he was the manager of the youth team before he got promoted to the senior. Then we should send him to develop our youth team. . . We dont have such players in our youth team, so his ability in the transfer market is what would determine his success at Chelsea. |
coogar: that said, i am not saying chelsea should hire him or hire jose mourinho but the comparisonAll inherited, not bought. The only successful signing Pep has made in 4 years is Pique. In the same time, Barca have gone from financially solvent to having to take emergency loan last July after failing to pay player wages. . . all because of signings like Ibra, Chygrinsky, Cesc, even David Villa (all unnecessary) coogar: guardiola is not tactically atrocious, i disagree with that.Actually, Guardiola is a regular tinkerman, often making silly changes that destablise the team. The signing of Cesc has been a curse in disguise, making him play all sorts of silly formations to fit Cesc in the team and dropping loads of points on the way. I dont want any Barca manager in Chelsea, simple reason being all the tactical brain-farts they make at Barca is covered by some great players. Make those same brain-farts in any other team and they will flop badly. I argued vociferously against the signing of Frank Rijkaard here in 2008 and Rijkaard has since proved what a rubbish manager he is with extreme failure at Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia since then. |
doctokwus: When BBC analyses an issue,u just can't fault dem.See all d fans out of excitement now hailing RDM as d best thing to happen to Chelsea.Avram evn did better but wen he became full time coach, his lapses were too much to b ignored. What RDM has done is to put chelsea fans in temporary euphoria, but wen he takes over fully next season, whc he may likely do,d pain and curses will start flowing for every match. You talk too much nonsense my friend. Were you born yesterday? Avram Grant never took over Chelsea full time. He was in the job as interim manager for 8 months. @ topic, Di Matteo has proved on at least 5 occassions that he is tactically suited to the big games. Whether Napoli away, Benfica, Tottenham or Barca home and away, he has shown extreme tactical flexibility. A staid and stagnant Chelsea have become vibrant simply by Di Matteo playing players to their strength - the likes of Mata, Kalou and Ramires in particular have been deployed in positions that get the best out of them, and add pace and extra dimension to the team to make the team adaptable against any opponent. If we need to defend, RDM can defend. If we need to attack, RDM can attack. RDM has the poise, confidence and media-handling for the job, and should be given the job. I've been hearing some nonsense about RA and Chelsea suits wanting a big name manager that can move players on and handle new transfers. Why do you need that? Most of the old players contract are coming to an end and they should simply let them go whilst squeezing every last drop out of them on their way out (as RDM is doing), not weakening the team by some foolhardy fixation with replacing older players who still have something to give (as AVB and RA have been doing). If the question is who do you trust with transfer funds, I trust RDM infinitely better than Guardiola (a disastrous transfer-market operator - see Chygrinsky, Ibrahimovic, and the unnecessary signing of Fabregas which has weakened Barcelonas system) and Mourinho (spend-spend). Given that Chelsea do not have extreme amounts of money to spend anymore, RDM knows the market for undiscovered gems better than these guys as seen in his purchases of the likes of Mulumbu for West Brom. Secondly, the likes of Guardiola being mentioned make some stupid tactical decisions at Barca, playing 3-4-3, 1-4-5 and all sort of nonsense systems without shape. Guardiola is a good disciplinarian, motivator etc but he is tactically atrocious. He will make exactly the same type of tactical mistakes that AVB made at Chelsea. Speaking of tactics, RDM's tactical flexibility has been extremely superb in big epic games. Compare with Ancelotti's meek tactical surrenders in UCL over the last 2 seasons and you will appreciate the tactical flexibility RDM applies. Ancelotti had only one way of playing (he sometimes changed from diamond to 4-3-3, but the style of play was always the same except for Arsenal match where he counterattacked). Compare also with AVB's disastrous tactical changes when luckily leading Manure 3-0 with 30 minutes left and still managing to draw 3-3. Some people told us that the reason we lost against Napoli in first leg is cos we have no Ezequiel Lavezzi's. By making some astute tactical changes and deploying Kalou, Mata and Ramires in other ways, RDM has proved that we can have the speed and width, even though we have no world-class wingers. Give RDM the job! |
hahahaha. . . First of all, do you think these guys write their own speeches? They only edit them. Except when floating new policy proposal, SLS would not write his own speech. He will only read it and add or remove one or two things as he sees fit. Second of all, “The challenges facing the economy is ineffective institutions and dilapidated infrastructure (bad roads, erratic power supply, limited access to potable water and basic healthcare, and ineffective regulatory agencies, etc). The plethora of reforms and policies are ineffective due to institutional failure" So this is the piece of academic work he is purported to have copied? There is nothing academic about the statement. Any lay man can make this statement. At postgraduate level, serious crime is presenting someone elses data and findings as your own. Making generic statements gleaned from someone else is not a serious crime, just laziness on the part of his speech writers. |
nastydamus: I concur. mufasa: That is a gangsta line up. Hopefully Cahill will r from his Hamstring injury in good time. Else Essien will slot in. Or Cole as CB & Ryan as LB. Legooooo ChElseaI think you guys would find Nateevs was being sarcastic. BTW, comot Ferreira from that line-up and put Bosingwa there. Also. . . ritchboy: Saved by the woodwork four times, numerous shots cleared off the line, 25 percent possession etc etc etc, uyet no one will begrudge Chelsea this victory.Erm. . . are you not the guy that said this. . . ritchboy: If you don't win the UCL(as expected) and you end up sixth(as expected). . |
