The love ibime has for Chilwell is second to none, that's why he will not appreciate anybody playing that position.

Nope my reasons were clear. £65m is a lot to spend when we have Hall upcoming. I suggested using Perisic as interchangeable with Chilwell for 2 years while Hall develops. Perisic could play right side and cover James as well so we had a steady cover for 2 doctors with Hall waiting in the wings. Today Hall is developed and we have wasted the opportunity. James missed most of the intervening 2 years as well. I always think long term, balancing economics with utility.

Same way I wanted Saiss for 2 years instead of Koulibaly while Colwill develops. Same way I wanted Arnautovic for 2 years instead of Lukaku to support Havertz. Boehly can do worse than making me his TD.
