A lot of GPs in UK are out of shape. Their job demands they sit down for 10 hours per day, a very sedentary lifestyle. This is true for most Primary Care physicians. It's hospital Doctors especially Junior Doctors that are in shape from walking around the Hospital. 50% of US doctors are classed as out of shape

Stop talking rubbish. My GP is slightly out of shape but she is the trusted GP for the whole area. I rather see her than any of the other GPs in the practice. The Levine is not even fat, she just has round face. Some people congregate fats on their face. No matter if they are fairly in shape, those specific areas won't lose fat without targeted cosmetic surgery.

Food has never been a luxury item in Nigeria even in the rough times, only the choice of food. It's only recently I'm hearing of hunger being a thing

In 1990s families that couldn't afford rice and meat anymore ate beans everyday. Our next door neighbours were known for beans everyday but their belly was always full. Also population was lower and you could always augment your food by plucking fruits - mangos and almonds especially

In our area, you can always pick crab and periwinkles for protein.

The poorest person I knew growing up was my great great aunty. When we visit the village and do our rounds to greet everyone, we hated stopping by her hut because she will force you to eat boiled yam and palm oil. Morning, Afternoon and Evening she ate yam and palm oil, that's all she could afford. I am guessing she grew the yam and bought the palm oil, but her belly was always full and she could always augment with crabs and periwinkles by walking down to the riverside
